I don’t know about you but I didn’t see anything that resembled a rivalry today. A loss 31-10, nobody showed up and the crowd left early. That really, really bothers me.
Is it over? Maybe it is. Hmm, I’m not sure how to handle that one as I’ve never-ever thought that rivalry would end. Heck, I got a little grumpy just thinking about it last week. I know that sounds weird, but maybe is “post NFL stress disorder.” Somebody call me a doctor. ) Seriously!!!
Don’t blame the coaches — blame the team. I’m not going to even name names. I know how HOT a lot of you are, so let it out.
This is a young team that doesn’t know how to win yet. Win is really not the right word. They need to consistently show up and play hard, week-in and week-out.
Sure they have their moments and shine. That’s what a young team does. They have a few comebacks, they have flashes of brilliance but day-in and day-out they just haven’t figured it out yet. It will come. I really believe that, but not yet.
What we saw was a team playing to the competition. Not good enough in this league…college you can get away with it…not here…not in the NFL.
I know they learned from it. You could see it in their faces.
I try to put these types of games behind me quickly and look to the Jets, because “OLD MAN FAVRE” is on a roll.
Big game this week…we’ll see how our young team responds.
But I still can’t get over the lack of the rivalry.
