Five in a Row!!

December 6th, 2011 - 10:15am by mark_cooper

O.K. If someone would have said we win five in a row with a new quarterback, a new offense, NO OTA’s with our new QB with a new head coach and coaching staff and little time to adjust and put in what is basically a NEW offense and everyone be on the same page and WIN five in a row. What would you have said??? No way, right? Yep.

Coming to you today from San Diego on a business trip and everyone out here is making excuses for the Chargers not winning this week before or the division….kinda funny even though they have decimated O-line and have had a tough year.

But that gives you an idea of the sentiment in San Diego. I even ran into Tebow fans out here.

You know what they said?

The same thing I’ve said, he’s improving each week and is fun to watch.

PLUS great game plans and during the game adjustments to adjust to how we are being defended so give the coaching staff a HAND!!!!

Agree?

GO BRONCOS!

All I can say is I love it and this is what I hoped for when I wanted TT to start. He and this team have exceeded my expectations. I knew he would start at some point and predicted us ending 9-7 … We might even do better than that and I am truly happy.

THE SEASON IS OURS FOR THE TAKING! GO BRONCOS!!!

    haha, got here first lol

    Hey Coopster…

Tebow IS improving with each week & he is a blast to watch. The entire TEAM is fun to watch, a first in a long long time for this franchise. We have a lot to look forward to and be excited about for once. Very refreshing.

Our defense, though, continues to carry this team on their backs. If it weren’t for that INT by Goodman it would’ve gone into OT and my heart would’ve jumped out of me, for sure. lol It bugged me not seeing Von out there tearin it up but his replacement for the day was awesome. Made some big plays. Very proud of how far this D has come along.

For whatever reason we struggle in the first half, I don’t get it or understand it but I LOVE seeing the offense come alive in the 2nd half and own it. Just unbelievable how they do it. Keep it up!!

    I LOVE this team!!!!! ;)
    GO BRONCOS 2011!!!!!

TRB – you little bugger lol took my #1 spot.

I think my season prediction of 10-6 is a very real possibility. That would be too sweet ;)

Coop is always the voice of reason having fought in the trenches. You may remember Robert Ayers stated we would finish 11 – 5 following the loss to the Lions… Ayers looks pretty smart right about now!

This week will be 6 in a row.

07Elway, did you enjoy the game you went to? Get any autographs?

  7. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Lol Ash, what can I say … my post was shorter lol.

Alright strand, you asked so I will answer… story time!! lol

I was at the KC-Denver game but was there to work the Broncos charter after so I didn’t get to see any of it, missed the whole thing. When the game was done I was apart of the screening team for Denver. Everyone had to get their bags looked through & get wanded down. Denver sets it up so they get screened at the stadium that way when they get to the airport they can just get on the plane. Smart actually with crazy fans like me wanting to get autographs. lol

Anyway, being apart of the screening team you can’t ask for anything… no autographs, pictures, nothing. But I got to see ALL of them up close. I really had to bite my tongue when I was less than 5 ft away from my hero, Mr. John Elway himself. I’m tellin you, I almost passed out. Couldn’t believe I was that close to him and couldn’t say a word to him.

But on the bright side, at the very end of course, Tebow was the last player to come through and I got to go through his suitcase!! haha Since there’s so many of them we are supposed to literally just open the bags, take a quick look inside for anything they shouldn’t have and zip it back up. With Tebow’s stuff, we uh kinda took our time lol I shuffled through some of his clothes, touched a wet towel or something, don’t really care what it was LOL He was right there in front of me, could not believe it. Dang he looked good, whew!!!!

Almost got to ride on one of the buses back to the airport but at the last minute the lady in charge decided to be her snotty self (to say it nicely) and technically didn’t follow regulations. Didn’t surprise me at all but it might be best I wasn’t on one of the buses. Not sure I would’ve been able to contain myself. LOL Was fun though to see them all up close.

Went through Decker’s stuff, can you say H-O-T-T!!! lol Went through Champ’s stuff too, said hi to him and called him Champ the Man, lol he was laughin & smiling. Of course I was smiling ear to ear the whole time.

@TRB… I figured you would bring that up. Miss chatterbox over here lol

New post… But I will say, 07elway…..I remember you and I predicting a 10-6 year. I would love to be wrong…… and have them go 11-5!!!!

  12. 07elway says:

lol Absolutely hometeam… prove me wrong!!! I’ll take 11-5 any day. I think I’d fall over in shock lol

  13. strandoftds says:

Way to go 07Elway. It`s liked you died and went to heaven it sounds like.

  14. strandoftds says:

You crack me up too, hilarious. LOL

I think that the Broncos offense has to give the defense alittle rest in the first half even if they don’t score. These 3 plays & out have to stop. We need to start off strong & play strong throughour the entire game. Don’t get me wrong, I think the whole team is playing great, & Tebow showed that he can throw from the pock. I’m not trying to complain but these are things they need to work on to become a great team & win a few superbowls.

  16. mark_cooper says:

Does anyone have the early season predictions recorded around here, I’ll see if I can go back and find some. I’d like to see what everyone picked.

San Diego weather was awesome and I was amazed when I sat down at a Dennys up in Orange County to read a USA Today and I open it up and to a huge story on Tebow and religion. It’s funny how he’s captivated everyone, love it.

You know what is FUNNIER…..listen can you hear it??

All the ankles breaking out there as everyone JUMPS on the bandwagon…..listen …snap, snap, snap!!! LOL

All the sports shows are now moon walking and folks are backtracking….I just laugh!! :o )

Look at the standing across the League……..interesting win loss records.

I gotta say, the comment by broncofan (above) is accurate, respectful, and mirrors my fears exactly. I have agonized over every first half third down in every game (as I’m sure many other fans). Just think how awesome our offense could be if we didn’t have those slow and frustrating first half problems.

Fortunately, that intangible thing called “character” shines through with this organization from the top to the bottom. I love the fact that Broncos players have such a steady professional approach. You can see it in their body language and the looks on their faces. These guys are very mature. I’m not saying they are not emotional, but they show their fury in a professional way. I haven’t been more proud of these guys since the late 90′s.

I’m with ya on the game plans Coaches Gase, and McCoy, along with Tebow have come up with.
That’s right everybody, Gase, McCoy and Tebow do the game planning not Fox.
This is something that has bothered me of late, people who have been criticizing the Coaches (Coach Fox in particular) for the conservative game planning. Or Coach Fox is repressing Tebow’s play by calling run after run because Fox doesn’t like Tebow is ridiculous.
If you have been watching all the videos and articles on The Broncos web site you would know Fox let’s His Coaches Coach.
Coaches Gase, McCoy, and Tim Tebow have been doing what it takes to build from the ground up, a TEAM atmosphere and it’s working.
They have called allot of running play’s because a young OLine which now must rely on a rookie right tackle to protect Tebows back would rather be moving forward than backwards.
Tebow’s strength is on the ground, (please don’t mis-interpret this statement and think I’m saying Tebow can’t throw) He is getting better in the air, but the fans need to be a little more patient and let things develop. Coach Fox is Not holding Tebow back by being conservative.
He is letting His Coaches build a TEAM from the ground up and They have included Tim Tebow in the game planning, and things are really looking good to me.
Magahee’s Strength is on the ground as well, let the professionals’ do what they do enjoy the Games be patient and stop complaining different things will develop as this TEAM matures. Everyone is getting better and it is very exciting, but It’s become really hard for me to blog during the game these day’s.
Sorry if I stepped on any toes. I just needed to let that out.

Here’s a post from earlier, I directed to Daddybronc, I thought you might like to read.

Here ya go Daddybronc, last weeks TOP break down. 1st Broncos 3:07 Minn 11:53, 2nd Broncos 5:47 Minn 9:13, 3rd Broncos 6:00 Minn 9:00, and 4th Broncos 7:15 Minn 7:45.

The Broncos are doing a better job of owning the TOP but They gotta get better, these 3&OUT’s are killing Them.
So far this year The Broncos have owned the TOP 5 times. I know, you would think it would be more as much running They have done this year but again the 3&OUT’s have got to slow down or the D will be paying for it. (The secondary in particular). I’m with ya on showing Goody some love. It’s just the nature of the position. The CB’s win some and lose some, it’s just when they lose they lose big.

I dug up some of my old research for ya to compare and think about how bad The Broncos have gotten in this area. I started this post using 2007 to the current date to limit my post but believe me the last five years of Shanahan were horrible.

Out of the last 76 games The Broncos have owned the TOP 25 Times! Roughly 33%.
They have 17 wins while winning the battle for TOP. Roughly22%
They have 8 losses while winning the battle for TOP. Roughly10.5%
They have 17 wins while losing the battle for TOP. Roughly 22%
They have 34 losses while losing the battle for TOP. Roughly 44.7% UGHHHHH!!!

    TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !

    GO BRONCOS ! ! !
