Wow was all I could say after the game…WOW!!! The Defense impressed me to no end. All over Tony Romo all day long and relentless. Tough not to take your mind off how they disrupted Romo and held the running backs to NO NUMBERS to speak of and sacked and harassed him all day.
I don’t have the stats in front of me and really don’t need them because they dominated the Cowboys offensive line and we dinked them like we talked about last week leading up to the game.
GREAT weekend of football, The U won, the Broncos won and Favre won, so if your a sports fan…you saw some great football and I keep bragging rights in the neighborhood if you remember the story from last week on my (NFL store neighbor, Bill Jennings and his Cowboys motorhome
)
Brandon, welcome back buddy — 51 yards and all our hearts when we needed some fire. I hope that’s the beginning of a Pro-Bowl season. Other Pro-Bowl seasons coming from DOOM and Champ and big weeks coming.
We’ll talk about that during the week but I want to hear your THOUGHTS because I could go on all evening about how impressed I am with this TEAM and thanks Coach McDaniels. I’m all smiles
) WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, well said Coopster!! I’m beyond impressed with our defense. Absolutely amazes me they’ve improved this much in just a year. Mind-blowing!!! Our D was horrific to watch last year and now we have the #1 defense in the league!!! WOW is right!
Loved watching our D harass Lamo all night, couldn’t stop laughing. 5 sacks is definitely something they gave him to remember us by. Bailey & Marshall were the play-makers in my opinion. Marshall fought hard to get that touchdown and that alone was impressive coming from him. Nothing new from him but if he still had a grudge at all against the team there’s no way he would have fought that hard to get a TD. He made it clear things were on the mends with him and the team. The hug between him and McD proved it. To take on 5 defenders to make that TD was so awesome! Amazing what happens when you break up with your ego!
And then for Bailey to make 2 huge game saving plays like he did… I wouldn’t have expected anything less from him. He is a STUD!!! Can’t wait to see him get more INTs throughout the season. Would love to see it happen vs. NE next week like he did a few years ago. Will never forget his Brady INT in the endzone… I’m almost positive he’ll get another one of those next Sunday!
Offense… hmmm… still a little shaky and a work in progress but very impressive as well. Orton has shined in many ways. NO INTs in 4 games… if that doesn’t impress you in any way, I don’t know what else to say. I will say it was risky of McD to take on Orton as the starter but in this business, you have to take risks otherwise it wouldn’t be the NFL. And so far it has all paid off. They’ve all worked so hard and it shows. Red zone offense still needs some work but for the gazillionth time… they will get it all worked out. Every team in the league has issues that need to be worked on, that’s one of ours.
All these risks and changes could’ve backfired in our face, but they haven’t. I applaud McD for taking risks, taking a risk on Orton and giving him a fair fighting chance to prove himself… look where its gotten us… 4-0!!! Dude, how can anyone argue with the results. We have a long ways to get yet and many other tough teams to get past but this is a GREAT way to start our season.
Like TRB always says… it is ours for the taking! Well I think I’m with Coop… better stop before I write a book about this team!! lol
Keep the faith my friends…
GO BRONCOS!!!!
This defense is by far one of the best defenses that we have had on this team. The guys remind me of john lynch and steve atwater!!! This defense has ONLY ALLOWED 26 POINTS!!! I was fed up with hearing that it was against nobody teams and then we came out and held the cowgirls to only ten! We have only allowed 2 touchdowns in 4 games which is unbelievable! This defense surely puts fear into each team we play and I know EXACTLY what is going through each of the opposing quarterbacks heads that we play each week, “Where is Dumervil, is he about to hit me, should I throw it and have it picked by the best secondary in the league, is the best corner back in the league (Champ Bailey) going to get a pick 6 off of me, OMG WHAT DO I DO????????!?!?”
Haha, yea that sounds about right!! I think after the terrible job Brady did against Ravens, I KNOW this will be his immediate thought each and every snap of the ball!!!!
WITH FAITH, THIS IS OUR YEAR BOYS!!!!
P.S. Everyone should DEFINITELY take some time and watch this!! Go to the videos section on our page and click on the Cowboys Postgame: Report!!! LISTEN TO DAWKINS AT THE BEGINNING!!! OMG, THAT WOULD SCARE THE DEVIL HIMSELF!
Gotta show love and respect to Clady as well. I believe he’s gone 20 games without a full sack, tying or breaking a record, am I right? Cant wait until next week, and the week after. Anyways,we sure have proved the so called “experts” wrong again!!
Oh yea, how about the predictions the fox analysts made during pregame. They all chose the Cowboys to win, what a bunch of losers!!!
All day, everyday Go BRONCOS!!!
BroncosFreak:
Is that where he says, ” How we going to be underdogs 3-0 in our house. Thats DISRESPECTFUL! Give what we have, and get what we take!!!”
If it is, man that sent shivers down my spine. I watched that part a good 10 times. Gotta love Dawkins and his leadership
Haha, yea superbowlbound…
That was down right RIDICULOUS!!! There is NO WAY I would go to Denver and play against the Broncos with hearing that!! Haha, I think if a few teams that have to come to Denver to play us would forfeit if they would’ve heard that clip!!
Seriously guys, like i said before, watch the clip!!! ABSOLUTELY PHENOMINAL!!!
Great read Mike. I am also excited for this team, always have been. Since the begining I have said we were going in the right direction. Becoming a team, not a team full of individual players. I love what we are building here. The great part is that its building sooner than most people believed. Also, I hope Orton plays without a glove soon, because I believe that does affect his accuracy a little. That bomb he threw to Brandon was on the money, just great defensive play there.
I remember when the season started, some people questioned the Bucky signing and the Gafney signing. I bet we are all glad they are here now. Some are also hoping Bucky dont miss time, because he is an added weapon on offense. Gafney could have scored this week also, if Orton doesnt miss him. Yet that is part of the game, you get some, you miss some. But the true telling of a good team, is you pull out a win when things are hard (they find a way to win), and this week we managed to fiight and get the win.
We are definitely playing 60 minutes of football every week, that tells me the coaches are doing their job. Last week the Raiders didnt score in the 2nd half and this week neither did the raiders. Another good sign of good coaching. The announcers said the Cowboys usually score more points in the 2nd half after they make adjustments. This tells me our team made the adjustments, not the cowboys. This is another great sign of coaching. We had a disgruntled receiver!!!! He fought the hardest to score around 5 people, with what looked like tears in his eyes, goes and hugs your coach on the sideline and the podium, this another great sign of a coach (lead your disgruntled players to buy in).
Im not saying we are superbowl bound this year (maybe?), but we are in the right direction. Like the writer Frost said, we took the road less traveled, and for that we are all the better for it now.
Mike, once again thanks for your input. I really do enjoy to read what you and also Big Coop have to say about our team.
Lets go Broncos!!!! NE is going to be tough but I think we will pull it out… Feels good to be 4-0=] gotta keep it up!!!!
That video of Dawkins is Awesome!!!! To watch that and then see him flying all over the field, jumping over and at the ball carrier……WOLVERENE!!!!
I live in New Mexico and we have 4 types of fan’s here:
1. fans of whoever won the last superbowl
2. Raider fans
3. Cowboy fans
4. Bronco Fans
I love that the Orange and Blue dominate all of that!!!! I must say they have all been suspiciously quite lately!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!
Great job as usual, Coop!
I think the best part about this team is that the only stat they seem to care about is the W column. Each week, different guys are showing up and making plays. Yeah, sure, Doom will always get some shots @ the QB, Dawkins is sure to put the wood to somebody and Champ will pretty much shut down anyone they put in front of him — but everyone is getting after it on both sides of the ball on every play.
Great to see Marshall is finding his groove and KO spreading the ball around. Bummer about Buck – hope he’s not out too long – but Knowshon is getting better every week so we’ll be OK I’m sure.
Regarding the NE game this week — TAKE CARE OF THE BALL! Aside from a few fumbles, we’ve done a really good job thus far, but it’s GOT to be a top priority this week. Fact is, if Baltimore had done it they would have won that game. I think our D is every bit as tough as the Ravens and probably a bit younger (except for the secondary, but I wouldn’t trade them for anyone).
Final note — I loved the pregame speech from Dawkins, too. He does something like that every week. Best part is, they could be 14-0 and he’d still be convincing them that they haven’t proven anything, that nobody respects them, that they’re only as good as their next game, etc., etc. More importantly, though, when Dallas scored the TD he pulled the guys together on the sideline and got ‘em going again. The next possession, it was like they flipped a switch and started taking it to them all over the field (especially in the trenches — great job by both lines, BTW). With all due respect to McD and Mike Nolan, Dawk is the single biggest reason behind the transformation of the defense this season.
Here’s to a great start and to watching our guys don those nasty old uniforms and beat the snot out of Brady and the Patsies on Sunday.
Cheers, all.
GO BRONCOS!!!
Much improved, the pass rush we didn’t have one last year has found it’s way into are D (go Doom). The run D much improved also keep up the great work. Now comes NE, a tough team yes and is going to be a even greater challange. Disrupet NEs timing and we go 5-0. Couch McDaniels is doing what we all want win games. GO BRONCOS!!!!
The defense was amazing, we all know that. And the offense was ehh, we all know that too. This defense is for real though and we proved that to all the people that doubted us this entire offseason and at the start of this season. AMAZING game from the Broncos, and I’m lookin forward to a victory over the Patriots. In terms of the offense, I am not worried at all. We have some great tools on offense and with the offensive genious Josh McDaniels as our coach, things will come together soon.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!
Glad to see Marshall back in the action and showing us what he can do. With the effort I’ve seen so far from our team I’d be happy at 2-2 right now, but stoked about being 4-0.
GO ORANGE!
Absolutely! So…when are we going to get the Broncos to bring back the Orange Crush jerseys once and for all? I think fans would LOVE to see those jerseys back…especially after it feels like we’ve got the old orange crush defense once again!
Way to go coop, Nice Post. Glad you got back bragging rights lol
Like yourself, I could go on for hours about what I liked but ill try to keep it short and simple. The denfense amazing once again. Flying all over the field. Filling up gaps and trusting their team mates to do the same. Offense was sloppy but the defense kept getting us the ball back so we had enough tries to get it right lol. We still lack explosiveness in special teams but….baby steps. Orton is throwing inaccurately but luckily our recievers are bailing him out but also he needs to read the field better for more open options (Like the drive before the Marshall TD, Marshall had 1 on 1 on other side in redzone against a rookie CB but Orton dumped it off to Moreno who got popped immediately and hobbled a little) bad decisions and inaccurate passes put our recievers in danger. Ask Roy Williams lol. But all in all great effort. A TEAM EFFORT, Brandon did his thing and showed he is not just 1 plus 10 but 1 of 11. Plays like that was why I why I could never give up on the kid and asked fellow fans to act accordingly. His head seems to be on straight and lets hope it stays that way.
GO BRONCOS!!!
ps: Marshall and Champ. Players of the game on their respective sides of the ball.

Dawkins the 36 year old “washed up” safety ran down the receiver on that broken play from ACROSS the field. Our secondary is holding up and giving our line time to get pressure. The talking heads criticized the “coach” for this bone headed move and NOT doing anything to fortify the front seven. So far, it is paying off in spades….
ummm guys how are we gonna celebrate dawkins bday. for the new england game lets all bring cake to celebrate dawkins bday
defense is awesome. concerned about buckhalter injury. orton’s accuracy is still disconcerting. he is still off target several times and should have been picked off 2-3 times against the cowboys. i like the new and improved marshall in interviews, hope he stays that way.
Hats off to many people affiliated with the Broncos organization. Pat Bolen took a lot of heat, all of us should give him his due for his selection of head coach Josh McDaniels. McDaniels took a lot of flack, his ability to select “team” players when drafting players and signing free agents , not to mention picking an oustanding coaching staff is something I don’t think anyone anticipated. My hat is off to our new leader. When the offense gets firing on all cylinders no one is safe in the NFL! Go Broncos!
Coop!!! I met a friend of your neighbor with the motor home at the game. He called himself Commander…said he was up from Corpus Christi I believe. He said you guys had an awesome time Saturday night. Bet that was a great party.
Ya know, I understand that the Steelers, Raiders and Cowboys have the largest fan bases but it was very disturbing to see that many Dallas fans in Mile High Sunday. I estimate 20,000. Wish we could stick em in the south corner of the east stands like we use to.
That being said….we were still loud…way louder than any game last year and there is a new atmosphere starting to develope in the stadium. I recognize it. It hasn’t been around for a while but it possesses an underlying mentality….WE BELIEVE!!!! It starts with the players and coaches on the field and works its way through the rafters and seeps into every Bronco fan. A notion that at any time, against any team, we can win. Those of you who have been going to games for a while know what I mean. This post will get really long if I keep going….sorry.
What a great win…once Kyle and the WRs get some repetitions stretching the field….that miss to Gaffney in the first half becomes a TD. It’s coming….soon the Offense will be caught up with the Defense. Stats and more philosophical crap to come later….until then…
GO BRONCOS!!!! South Stands Forever!!! The Orange Crush Lives!!
I love this stingy defense. They are playing together as a unit. Everyone is involved and seems eager to make plays. I did see alot of missed tackles though. But stuff like that can be fixed in practice. The run defense looks real good. I really feel like we could be the best defense in the league. The offense needs to get a better rythm going. Too many three and outs. Orton is real lucky he doesnt have any picks yet this season. The line gave up a few sacks. But dallas has a pretty good defense. Overall i am pleased with the start. I feel if we limit tunovers and the offense can stay on the field a little longer we will beat the patriots. And any other team on our schedule. I have alot faith in our team. We will be AFC WEST CHAMPS. HOW BOUT THEM BRONCOS!!!
What a relief that was to watch the Defense take control of the game and gut out a win for the boys in the Orange and Blue. What can you say about B Marsh other than the Broncos and the fans are glad to finally have you back. The emotion that was on his face after the touchdown was amazing. How about the interview of Dawkins after the game, that man is inspiring to say the least. It was fun to see Orton running down the sidelines and McDaniels pointing to Marshall, and then what about the hugs during the game and after. Hard to believe these same men were bashing heads not to long ago. While winning is always a wonderful elixir, you gotta feel that this can be something special. Tom ouch he touched my legs and Phylis Diller Rivers better put on their big boy pants cause the Orange Crush boys are back in town.
way to go Defense loved the way you played !!!
I to live in central New Mexico surrounded by Cowgirls Fans so IKNOW HOW SWEET THIS VICTORY WAS
GO BRONCOS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coop, talk about bragging rights, I live near Austin now, I don’t have one neighbor in a motorhome who is a Cowboy fan, my entire world is Cowboy everything, in the pros of course, college here is even bigger with UT. Sorry to the U, but I believe they don’t measure up to UT so far. LOL. Am I going to be banned from your posts? Ahahahaha, hope not.
Springsbroncfan, orange jerseys back once and for all?, You kidding me? No offense, Coop, I’m old school also (55) but we never won a super bowl in orange and the year we changed to blue we won two in a row!!! Call me superstitious, but current blue jerseys is all I care to see. Please, no yellow….and brown…and the socks… We are definitely going to be the center of many jokes Sunday, and well deserved I might add. LOL.
What about a pro bowl season for Dawkins Coop???
Not to mention hopefully a lot of love for our O line guys!!! They deserved more last year, hopefully will get it this year! Only thing I have to complain about is…….
Madden did another update and Doom went to 82 overall, I’m glad for it, but it’s just like we all knew he was that good to begin with, so now in my franchise he degressed to 68 and the update won’t fix it, I’d have to start the whole franchise over again!!!
Great week of sports though, FOCUS ON THE PATRIOTS NOW!
Don’t get side tracked in the McDaniels v.s. Belicek fiascle they will make it into. Let’s just play football!
Did anybody see the vid of Romo trying to get off another play off after they didnt convert on 4th down? Man I couldn’t stop laughing at this guy.
Heres the link:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/It-seems-that-Tony-Romo-didn-t-know-it-was-fourt?urn=nfl,194346
I’m impressed, Coop. This defense rocks. Now let’s do a number on Tom Brady and the Pats. 5-0 Baby. GO BRONCOS!!!!
Hey Coop: Long time reader, 1st time blooger on your site!
I really enjoy reading your posts along with the likes of Elway07, baylinorcrush, raidrhater, mondano just to name a few. I have been a Broncos fan since 1977 and I have to say this defense really reminds me alot of the Orange Crush. Just the feeling that everytime they are on the field we have a chance for a fumble recovery or a pick 6 going the other way. The offense however has a few things to shore up mainly in goalline, short yardage, and penalties. Kyle has been a good game manager thus far but I do think the glove is affecting his accuracy. However, (Troy my Aikman left nut lol…) said during the friday practice that Orton was throwing the ball better and with more zip than he has seen in a long time. I just hope he can shed the glove and turn that over to this sunday. Also does anyone have a comment on the IN-COM-PLETE wah, wah, wah, wah that they keep playing at the stadium? I think it needs to get burned with the striped socks!!!!
Regards
Coach
Ok guys, I have been waiting to see someone break down this upcoming game against the pats to see if I agree with them but haven’t seen anything yet so I figured I would break down the game and provide an analysis of what I think is going to happen!!
1. We are the 4th best rushing team in the NFL. You have to look at that Buck will most likely be out of the game against the Pats but we have Moreno. Moreno will be able to provide all of the running and I hope they give Hillis redemption and give him some runs as well! Expect to see Moreno’s first 100 yard rushing game this Sunday!
2. I know our offense has been questionable at times, but expect Marshall to be getting A LOT more involved in the game this week. They will work on Orton’s accuracy this week and i think he will complete a lot of passes this week. They will be going up against a pretty weak defense and I think they will do great.
3. We have the BEST defense in the league. The Pats do have a good offense, but remember, this is an offense that barely came but and beat the terrible Bills and that should’ve lost to the Ravens! Lets face it, the Pats should be 1-3 right now. The only team that they really beat was Atlanta.
4. Stopping their run and passing game shouldn’t be a problem. We have stopped Barber, Lewis, Benson, and McFadden, all great runners in the league and Sammy Morris, Fred Taylor, Kevin Faulk do not even compare to those guys! With their passing game, last week they mainly hit Moss and Welker. They hit Ben Watson a couple of times but not too much. We have Bailey that will be on Moss and have Goodman, Hill, or Dawkins to cover Welker. Our defense should definitely provide GREAT coverage against the Pats.
5. The pass rush. Doom is getting sacks now in his last three games. The Pats offensive line have done pretty good but Brady did get sacked last week and fumbled the ball and gave up a touchdown. Doom and the boys should be getting through the line with a bit of ease considering that we tore apart Dallas’s offensive line. I expect around 3-4 sacks this week and seeing Doom have 2.
6. Now the only thing that worries me. You have to ask yourself, do we have the better advantage of having Mcdaniels or do they have the better advantage with having Belichek. Both of these coaches are going to change up a couple things since they know each other really good and know what the other likes to do.
Overall, I think our boys will win 17-14 against the Pats. The Pats have gotten too lucky at beating people and this will be a game that they will not be getting lucky with!
What do all of you think???
Sounds like you’re on the right track to me, freak.
I do have one thing to add, though. Imo, this game will probably come down to turnovers. If not for turnovers last week, the Ravens beat the Pats and we probably lose to the Cowboys. I know everyone is still nervous that we’re not tearing it up offensively, but for this game it’s especially important to TAKE CARE OF THE BALL! KO’s done a really good job of that thus far, though he is taking a few more chances as he gets more confident in his receivers.
Now having said all of that, I’ve got a really good feeling about this week. The Pat’s have shown that they can’t protect Brady like they used to and our D has been dominant for most of every game. Also, I don’t think their LB’s and secondary can match up with our backs and receivers and this might just be the week that the O really revs it up.
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed…
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
Broncosfreak & Kearly37,
Totally agree with both of you. Also in my opinion, what I think is going to help is the following:
Offensively I see us protecting the ball very, very well. As you both pointed out. With that said, we move the chains and hopefully become very effecient in the red zone.
Now, what I love about this and has been the case in most games this year at different times is that it allows our defense to stay off the field! Keep them rested so that when they are out there, it’s comes with loads of energy and dissruption!
Lastly, with a managable, error free offense + a rested power house defense = you get one of the best QB’s in the league finding it difficult to get into a rythm.
Hey Mondono!! Time of possession and red zone success wins this ball game.
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
Freak, 37 and Falls I think you have all hit it on the head as far as the biggest concerns for this game, you all have outlined the critical areas for success on sunday. The one thought that I have had is Tom Brady was made fun of for asking for the roughing the passer penalty. Alot has been made by others that he is not 100% comfortable in the pocket, he is worrying about taking another hit to his knee. While I can understand why he is worried, I think the defense can exploit that condition to help win this game. The Broncos need to get inside his head early with this, Brady is to good of a QB to leave alone in the pocket. It would basically be a better version of what the Giants did to him, and the Broncos defense is more than capable of doing just that.
So far, no one has found an Achilles’ heel in the 2009 Denver Broncos. If there’s any coach in the NFL who can, it’s Belichek. But he has nothing but tape on the Broncos, whereas McD actually knows Brady…wrote a longer post about that in the response to Champ’s award if ya wanna see it. But that’ll be the game right there, ladies and gents: can McD destroy the quarterback he guided to a 50-TD season?
I don’t know how much more there is to add on to what all of you have stated. The only thing I really have to add is that we really need to cut down on the penalties if we want to win this game. That was the only flaw I really saw coming out of the W last week. Not that I really have any doubts about beating the Pats, but the fact is, the less chances we give their offense with the ball, the better chance we have to be 5-0. I can see coach Mc D put a lot of emphasis on this in practice this week. I don’t see an Achilles’ heel as put by RoyalBlue, but any team has the ability to take themselves out of the game.
Go Broncos!!!!
raidrhadr HA!!! you did meet the crew. Nice guys and the Team leader Bill Jennings had to eat some crow as he said he stood up at the beginning of the game and yelled something like “you all ready for this”….bad move cause the fans around him dogged him all day.
)
coachemup, you stick with us because you just named a few of the ALL-PRO’s on this blog and there’s a few more believe me when I say that…just look at broncosfreak30′s analysis………nice job, I like it.
OH, by the way. I was so impressed by the D…I wasn’t in any form or fashion ignoring the Offense. Keep the wolves off Orten and we have a shot to win any game.
So Let’s talk Pats. Think about this. I think this is the biggest game of Coach McDaniels career. Everyone talks about players wanting to beat their old teams…..it’s true……you saw a whole story line made of it before Farve beat Green Bay last week.
You can bet Coach McDaniels wants to beat the Patriots….and I hope he does too……. both for the Team, the fans……….BUT him personally. I liked his interview about this being the next game on the schedule and all that class about the taking it week by week…..BUT come on coach….I know……..you want to beat them.
OK I’ll say it “YES HE DOES”…he has too much class to admit it or put it out there in the press for the writers, etc………..but inside he’ll be smiling ear to ear when he does….watch close. AND so will we at 5-0.
You all agree??
Will history repeat itself: Broncos beat Patriots 13 to 10 for first win in AFL. BTW Broncos hold a huge advantage over Patriots in victories since the very beginning not sure the actual record but I know I’ve watched many wins over the Patriots since 1960. Go Broncos!
Go mighty orange CRUSH , keep on crushing … and keep up the good work Orton , by the time the season is over people willl be saying denver got a much better deal then chicago lmao . BDAWK is our MVP right now and has the D on the same page keep it up D …
I have to admit i was one of the Bronco Fans who was calling for McDaniels head after the cutler trade, and then the draft…I still dont think he came in and handeled everything correctly when he got in, but you cant argue with results. i never imagined us having a D this good. I look forward to this weekend and everyone after that. I really cant wait to play the Chargers
ocbronco, very well could be 13-10, in fact that’s what I’ve been leaning on all week, but could be 16-13 or 20-17, either way 3 point game Bronco win as I see it. I’ll finalize my prediction this week end. Overall record against the Pats: 24-16.
Coop, I agree to a certain degree, but if McD has motivation to beat his old team and teacher, I think the teacher will have just as much motivation in keeping order in the classroom and beat his pupil. I do believe that the difference will be our running game verses theirs. If Bucky hadn’t been hurt, this would be a much easier pick, regardless of what the team says, losing Bucky at this early stage of Moreno’s career will be a big loss. I don’t think he is fully capable of handling the #1 RB job at this point, but he’ll have to do and someone will have to step up big to support him, Jordan, Hillis or Walker. And if McD decides to hand out the ball to Moreno on critical short yardage again, please, someone restrain me. LOL. Dallas getting 74 yards on the ground against us tells me that N-E will be hovering at about 50, even with Bucky out, we still should have a sizable edge there. And it tells me it could be a long game for Brady. He is worried about his leg and he is going to be very nervous Sunday when his running game gives him very little relief from the pressure we’ll be able to apply Also of very big importance is how effective the 4-3 D the Pats now use will be against our dink and dunk O. If the running game is there the pressure will be hard to come, I see Orton dissecting their D pretty good. I think we’ll win, but by the seat of our pants, because regardless of the stats Orton still has a long way to go before he can put teams away.
rjennings, you and pretty much 90% of the other Bronco fans, so don’t feel bad. I was on the other side of the coin, as soon as Cutler said that he would be happy to remain a Bronco as long as Bates remained, I knew he bought himself a ticket right out of town. Regardless of what anyone thinks, the coach had no choice, he is the authority figure, Cutler was just a piece of the puzzle and he obviously did not fit in. Cutler was so arrogant that he thought he was indispensable and acted like it, hasta luego amigo, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. It’s all water under the bridge now, but regardless of how badly you think McD handled the ordeal, that was the key of why the team is where it’s at now, it helped established McD as the only leader in the clubhouse. What a choice, McD or Cutler? Let me think… NOT. Of course, the brain remains and the petulant child petulates somewhere else. I only wish him bad for this year, so we improve the position of our 1st round pick, after that I wish him to grow up and be great, that way we might meet him in a super bowl, that would be the ultimate game, wouldn’t it?
Right on, Coop!
The more I look at this, the more confident I get that we’ll find a way this week just as we have in the first 4. Just hoping the SI cover jinx doesn’t bite us in the…
I have to apologize to the Bronco nation here, out loud and in public.
I’m bringing a Pats fan with me to the game on Sunday. I am sorry.
He’s a good guy and responsible for getting the tickets just above the tunnel so it was kinda hard to say “no”.
I’m sure we will all make him feel at home with upbeat cheers and kind criticism of his team.
So when you see him…..just remember who brought you the fresh meat…..good old Thunder!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!SEE YOU AT THE GAME!!!!!
Who has seen the video of Josh McDaniels being miked up during the Cowboy’s game?
BRILLIANT – He really chewed off Orton when he wasn’t producing and it was super to see Dawks being congratulated by Josh after the game and saying yes Sir. His humility and respect for McDaniels tells you everything about a very special player.
As for the Defense, Doom is now a legend and how he sacked Romo with an Offensive Lineman all over him, only God knows. The D-Line, against heavier men, stopping the run – simply awesome. As for Champ, he continues to live up to his name.
This defense is the real deal and that means we will always have a chance in winning the Superbowl.
The Pats game will be special for Josh, and with his inside knowledge he has every chance of beating his mentor.
Coop!! Absolutely Josh wants to win the hoodie bowl. This is the matchup of the week in the NFL….being hyped to the highest level.
coachemup: Welcome to THE blog. As I have posted previously, this Broncos team is in many ways like the ’77 team….good call.
broncosfreak30: I agree with most of your analysis. Tom Brady has been hit alot this year and I expect us to put on great pressure however, they (as do we) have an awesome blitz killer package. Expect the Pats to spread the field, utilize the screens and bubble screens alot….short quick dumpoffs to Welker or Faulk to neutralize our pass rush and blitz. The ball will come out quickly. I think our safeties may have to play closer to the line because of that and Bailey and Goodman may be in single/man coverage alot…tall order against Moss for sure. Good communication and discipline will be important for safeties and linebackers to cover the seems. They love to hit Watson on those seem/skinny post routes. If we can swarm to the ball on those shorter passes and minimize the RAC potential…we have a good chance to challenge them if they decide to stretch the field. We cant let them dink and dunk us down the field. Swarming to the ball and tackling are especially important. This post will get way too long if I keep going….my prediction?
Broncos win 17-13
