Da Bears week and homecoming for our old QB. The game against the Seahawks was actually a good learning experience for what I’ll call a young team getting to really know each other and play together.
I know it wasn’t pretty..BUT…that’s really what pre-season is for. Fumbles kill and turnovers in general can ruin your season. Much of what we need to see on our side is turnovers and they come with a lot of preaching and practicing.
I don’t get to worked up over pre-season and if you’ve been following this blog for the last year or so you could go back and see that. Pre-season is a time to experiment with players, positions a bit and showcase a guy or two you might want to trade (did I just say that) yep that happens too. Seen it first hand.
It’s a business.
Oh, by the way too funny, Ks-BroncoGirl was talking about not wanting to buy a jersey because they get cut-traded-hurt or who knows what. I got a great idea. We start selling generic Broncos jerseys with velcro on the back and sell names separately? I’m a genius
)…….right? Ha! Ha! Love it.
O.K. Cutlers in town so here we go. Boo him back to Chicago.
) That’s what wee suppose to do. Nice article today on Cutler and what did you really expect. They added Orlando Pace so that will help him. be interesting what else gets said, like Mike Klis mentioned going after him a bit. I was in Baltimore when John went back to play……….. UGLY CROWD.
I’m actually encouraged by last weeks game other than the left handed interception. I have to share some perspective here. When you play at that level you think your Superman to start out with. BUT even Superman threw right handed. I’d started laughing when I saw Orton throw left handed. I immediately said there’s the Superman coming out. And that’s not a crack. He probably did that somewhere in his career and was successful…BUT at this level there’s 22 Supermen on the field believe it or not and you just have to laugh because when he rewatches that on film everyone in the film room will be laughing…promise.
That’s O.K. though, I actually appreciate the fact that he thought he could do it…it showed me something I liked. Call me weird but I gained a little respect and had a good laugh over it at the same time. By the way DON’T do it again, once was enough. Maybe a shovel pass left handed or underarm but you throw like a girl left handed

I hope that our D just crushes Cutler and I also hope he throws 3 INTs. I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably boo Cutler when he enters the field.
I’ll boo from the tv. It’s going to be great!!! Can’t wait to see this game. It is so hyped that I hope they let the teams play. I know it is still a preseason game, but it’s going to be fun!!!
You spoke what I’ve been preaching since the Seattle game, Coop. I think that people are getting entirely too worked up over a preseason game. Kyle, as you said, looked good except for that pass. But he had nothing to lose and in regular season, McD would probably have taken 3 points.I will go to my Broncos bar this Sunday to watch the game, here in Las Vegas. I’ll be rooting them on as I always do. I will be hoping the fans boo Cutler into making some critical errors. The fans need to be the 12th man.
I was cracking up about your velcro jersey idea, ha, ha. Too funny. I have bought an orange Moreno jersey already and will be getting a Royal jersey next week (blue). I feel they are safe to buy. Clady is a safe bet, also.
Take it easy Coop, and GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dumervil will get his hits in on cutler, can’t wait to see this.
20 bucks say’s cutler won’t even think about throwing in Champ’s direction, and if he does because he’s so arrogant and thinks he can do anything, Champ will take it to the house.
Nice Coop! That’s why I said in a previous blog… what if Orton would have completed that left handed pass? Would he be a Genius? Or just Lucky? Or a great athlete?… but well, it didn’t happen, so he still throws like a girl left handed. Whatever, but it certainly was fun to watch.
For the Bears game, I’m done with a Orton with no ints. and a Cutler with 1 sack, no TDs and 1 or more ints.
And for the jerseys… buy #7 and play safe. Hehe. Too much change these days to buy something durable.
Go Broncooos!
Ya, like a booing crowd ever got to Cutler before… AND it’s just a pre-season game. But still hope that Cutler doesn’t blow the Broncos away…that definitely won’t help things around here.
AK, yeah, booing Cutler can get into his head. It’s happened before. San Diego crowd got into his head. He may be a QB, but he is also human and he has a tendancy to sulk. Boo him, cheer the Broncos, be that 12th man on the field.
One thing I would not do is be disrespectful to Jay Cutler. I think that Broncos fans should show class and be respectful to all players who have worn the Orange and Blue. Especially a Pro-Bowl quarterback (was Cassell in the Pro-Bowl?)
Let’s face it, we all know Cutler is a class QB and wish he was still here. However once the management indicated they may trade him there was no way back. I do not know why some fans do not understand this. If my boss told me he might be getting rid of me I know that I would have more pride than to hang around. I would make the decision myself, just like Cutler.
One thing I would do is play Tony Scheffler and Brandon Marshall in defence. Jay is so used to passing to them we may get a whole lot of interceptions.
retarded
Wow, so much cutler bashing, personally im just ready to watch a good game and see what my team does, see some improvement and hopefully, see some Bmarsh. I wish cutler the best (still like him(, just not in this game
, but if he makes a great play….he makes a great play.
A little worried about orton but not that much. McD stresses situational drils. Thats what that 4th down play was. A situational drill incase we ever need to do it in real life and to practice red zone offense. Im just dissapointed in Ortons play, bad move for a game manager. and showed how one play can change the momentum of a game. WE got this tho, we will shock the NFL this season.
“I Dont Back down when it comes to family, friends and Denver Broncos” – couldnt have said it better myself DD
The Seasons Ours For The Taking
GO BRONCOS!!!
Hey Coopster!! Very nice read and very funny. Sure have a way with words!
Da Bears our coming to our house and we WILL be ready for them, especially Jay “You Know, You Know” Cutler. Oh yes, we know… you’re going down lil man!! hahaha
So excited for this game!! I hope the crowd is so loud the house literally shakes!!
COOP!
If there were a time for our Defense to get any turnovers This would be the day.
I won’t be Booing cutler, but I will Be Cheering for My TEAM when They get 3 INT’s and strip cutler for a fumble I will Be Cheering for My TEAM !
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
COOP!
I found this and wondered if you knew Him, or maybe you played against Him.
Former Dolphins DL T.J. Turner dies at 46 after stroke.

I just turned 46 myself, so young to be just gone.
PEACE
Please don’t go all southpaw on us this week Orty.
I wish all those attending the game on Sunday the very best and hope the Broncos give you a performance worthy of our great fans. Like 07elway says, the crowd needs to make the “House” rock. That 12th man is so important you cannot imagine how true that is. Most importantly we need to see the mood and morale of the team and how it has taken to McDaniels.
Whatever happens it will be a good guide to what to expect this season and I am looking forward to all your post-game comments.
As for Jay, he is the opposition now and if anyone can show up his weaknesses the Broncos defence should be able too.
Finally I want to thank Monodono for his updates and links. It is sad to see ex-players die so young but I feel it is inevitable that some linemen make this sacrifice simply because of the punishment they do to their bodies by playing in the trenches and bulking up.
God Bless you all.
Hey Coop!! Great post. Like the jersey idea. 07elway you are absolutely right. We need to rock the house. I will be in the South Stands (as usual) doing my part. I was contemplating wearing a pink Cutler jersey (way too small of course) and sporting a bonnet, binky and rattle. But I wasn’t going to boo anyone in particular. (ya right) I was just gonna say WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! Think that’s overboard? Think I might get on TV?….ridiculous. Sorry to those who aren’t on the Cutler bashing wagon. He is a good player with the potential to be great. But I hope he spends alot of time on his butt Sunday.
oh and BTW
GO BRONCOS!!!! South Stands Forever!!
I agree with DD and even though I wont be there , my living room will be full of broncoholics Booing the crap out of Jay…And we will have some cheese to go with his wine…My pals and I are so loud when we watch the Broncos at my house the police have come over several times in the past few years…we try to be the 12th man in spirit! my buddy and I got asked to leave in the third Qtr at the PHX preseason game last year…we did not of coarse got to represent even when in the camp of the enemy!!What Im hopeng for COOP is that we have 70K + supermen and superwomen being the super 12th man and bringing back some of that ole time MILE HIGH MAGIC into my liveing room a little early this year and no matter what happens…LETS GO BRONCOS BEAT THE BEARS
Just like everyone else……I want to see DJ and Dumerville harass the crap out of Cutler. The local paper reported a few weeks ago that Urlacher, a hometown hero, called Cutler a few choice words and didn’t think much of him as a leader of the Bears. I found this to be a bit funny after closely watching Cutlers’ exit from the Broncs. Wish I could be there WHEN Cutler throws a pic. The stands are just going to erupt!!!
I know its only been a couple of preseason games, but I’m warming up to Coach McD’s style of ball and the way he conducts the team. Certainly showing a lot of poise. The creative play calling in the first half of the seadogs game was awesome. I get the feeling that McD is holding back several “Aces’ up his sleeve”.
Now……the Belichick esque’ sweatshirt……I think he can do better.
Just got my tickets for the Oct 11th game against New England!!!!!Right above the visiting tunnel!!!! Can’t wait!!!!!
Sad for DL Turner and his family and friends, my hearts out to them. A sad-sad story.
Kinda wierd that players have a life expectancy of roughy 56 I think it is. There’s been studies going on here locally and nationally with heart scans and more trying to figure it out.
Well, lets yak on the game summary on the next blog as we have a short week with the Cards on Thursday and I’m heading fdown to the game. How many of you all will be there?
