I knew I could count on you all!!! GREAT STUFF!

I love you guys and gals with the posts on Jamie (Joke) Dukes. Heck, I still hate the Giants because they cost me a World Championship ring in SB XXI and refuse to listen to that stupid "New York, New York" song for as long as I live. :o) yea, I know, kinda childish, but SO!!

That's funny.

On a serious note, we could be a lot better than folks think, when you take into account the injuries we had at the receiver position throughout the year. I think we may surprise some folks. I have to go back to mondono's mantra. "Time of Possession". Mondono, nice fish, I'll have to post that. I know some folks won;t appreciate the fish thing now that camps started but I get some artistic latitude since I'm the POST boy.

If we can control the ball with the offense I think we'll have and improve on D every week, we have a shot at San Diego and the AFC West. That's were you have to start. Winning the division.

To here him talk youd think he invented football, Did you see him the other night when Hot Rod Smith was on W/ his two rings in tow? You could see the envy in his eyes...Good for him. A good serving of Crow never hurt anybody. This Dummy even tried to dress down Smith like he knows what it takes to win a championship.

We will be fine and I agree with eeerockskii about our being 8-8 next year and that we are going in the right direction and who knows? with all the moves on the D side and special teams I think that no matter what we are going to be an all arround well ballenced team.

07elway, I agree with your prediction even if some consider it lofty. One of the things that I have seen in the acquisitions on the defensive side of the ball have me believing that this could be the sleeper unit of the '09 season as well as the one thing that puts us over the likes of the Chargers. Over the past few years the Chargers have dominated us physically. Last year during the last game of the season my oldest son turned away from the game and asked me why the players for the Chargers were so much bigger than those of the Broncos. This may seem like a simplistic observation but it is something that has been gnawing at me for the last four or five years. We have simply been out muscled in many of the games that we have lost. Last year we saw a dramatic turn around regarding the size of our offensive line as well as some of our receivers and running backs (The Beast, Graham, Hillis, and Clady) and the effect was undeniable. These bruisers not only have the speed and physicality to make the play but they punish the players on the other side of the ball as well. In military terms this is what the "King of Battle" (artillery) does to your enemy. It destroys their will to fight. With the shift to a 3-4 hybrid I am seeing moves that emulate a similar philosophy on the defensive side of the ball. Am I talking out of my a@#? Maybe; but you will notice that my cheeks are orange and blue!

Break their will to compete!

Thanks broncofanlvnm... had no idea Dukes was part of that Falcons Team. NOW I understand. Never really knew who he was during his NFL career.

Like your name for him 07elway!!

Coop - back to your original post. I have checked out a few power rankings and honestly feel these guys are way off on their prediction on where we'll finish. Especially if they're going off last year. We've have made improvement with key aquisitions and drafts picks. We've retained our offensive line plus our great receiving corp. Defensively some major changes other than DJ Williams, Elvis and Champ, so this will be a key area to watch. Love the addition of "Wolverine -- Dawkins" !!
Coach McDaniels, his coaching staff & the Team will be flying somewhat under the radar this year which is fine with me, (except with us). What I see in McDaniels is that he will be making adjustments as the season goes on and they will get better with each week that passes by. (We have the talent).

Won't make any predictions other than we will make the Playoffs this year !!!

Look here guys, We're either going to be REALLY GOOD, or REALLY BAD. I say we either go 12-4 or 4-12. The die hard Broncos fan in me says 12-4, but the realistic side of me knows that we don't have a very good knose tackle to hold down the 3-4. As far as offense goes, I think we'll be better without Cutler in the sense that Kyle is going to JUST THROW TO MARSHALL!!! Last year Cutler threw a pic to the Dolphins on a 3 yard slant to B-Marsh, and there was nothing but Dolphins around him... pick 6. That's what I hated about Cutler. Plus, he's a punk! Knowone's talkin' about Moreno, which I can understand because he's a rookie, but what about Buckhalter, Jordan, HILLIS, and RYAN TORAIN!!! No doubt, Kyle isn't going to throw for more yards than Cutler did last year, but he's going to throw more yards than Cutler this year! And we'll be RUNNIN' the ball down everyone's throats!!!

I only said we should be ranked in the top 5 is because I have high expectations for this team. Go ahead, say its unrealistic but there's no crime in me thinking this team will be so much better than last year. What can I say, I have high hopes for this team. They will most definitely be improved... they'll get there. I'm not so sure this will be a SB year for them but they could do it if they wanted to. We'll just have to wait and see how fast and well they all adapt to McD's new offense scheme and the return of Nolan to our defense. I don't know how it will all turn out but I can guarantee there won't be a dull moment this season. It's gonna be exciting.

With faith...
