K.C. (no Magic) Sunday

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Wow, like I mentioned last week. Dangerous territory when you have a team like K.C. winless and coming off 12 consecutive losses.

I had to repeat what I said on the 25th as I’m not sure everyone saw it. See below.

Interesting looking at stats this week. We’re the No. 1 offense in the AFC and No. 16 in defense in the AFC. On top and on the bottom. I’ve never seen that before and was a little perplexed, thinking, weird. The Saints defense is #14 in the NFC and Raiders are No. 10 in the AFC and Chargers are No. 15, all partially because of our success against them, keep in mind.

So we have a lot of improving to do before you can leave the TV set and not miss a big play :o)…. I may be O.K. with that as long as we win.

Whoops, we got run all over. I need some help from you all this week I was in Miami at a 30th High School Reunion and offshore fishing on Sunday and had to dodge some of the heaviest rain stroms I’ve seen in along time getting off the water Sunday…then listening to the scores and watching ESPN into the evening.

Help me here?? What happened ((overall)) other than 198 yards by Johnson a two interceptions by Jay and two other turnovers?

Just looking at the stats, I would have said turnovers and rushing yards against us??…correct?

Also, glad Clifford Russell is O.K.

More Magic against the “Saints”

The Magic is back!!!

Bend-don’t-break defense comes up big with a goal line stance and a “DJ” stop on 3rd and short to make for a missed field goal….wide right!!

Whew, I may need some stress medication or something this season. How much fun are these games to watch?? So we asked for it and we got it this off-season with firepower and receivers catching the ball all over the field. Like they say “Be careful what you ask for” we got it!!

So, how many of you got up to get something in the kitchen and missed a score or a big play?

I replied late last week on your “Bolts” responses and that was fun so in case you missed anything check back on the Bolts comments because you all were pretty funny last week and fun to reply to.

369 total yards this week to 502 for the “Aints”…that number worries me as weeks to come we’ll see some defenses that could hold us down and the nature of the game is that there will be weeks where things just don’t click.

K.C. 0-3 with 12 consecutive losses…hmm took one on the chin from Atlanta this weekend. These opponents scare coaches to death because they are afraid of a let down or players looking past these types of opponents and in the NFL that can cost you a game.

“Beauty and the Beast” still stands and I’m glad Schefflers back in the mix….we might need a nic name for him???

One Down, Three to Go! Short week to Houston …

Monday, December 10th, 2007

How much fun was that to watch!! I have a little different perspective than the press. They’ll ask questions. They’ll say it was a lesser foe, you name it. They’ll have a bunch of excuses for our dominance. I say, “One down, three to GO!!”

One game at a time and we build on each game. We gain confidence with a game like KC, because when you execute, you produce, when you produce, you score points. Man that was fun to watch.  Brandon Marshall, Selvin Young, Brandon Stokley, Elvis Dumervil, Nate Webster, Chris Myers, Erik Pears, Tony Scheffler – that’s the future and that’s going to be fun.

The Bolts won in overtime, close call. We need some help to make the playoffs, sure. But we have to take care of what we have in front of us … Houston, (short week) and we know Gary Kubiak would love to get a win against the Broncos, the Bolts and Minnesota, who has come on and really improved here at the end of the season. So, no easy task. We have to stay focused and take it “ONE GAME AT A TIME.”

By the way, we’re having some issues with my side of the blog replying, so bear with me folks. I replied three times last week and it didn’t post, (small glitch), we’ll fix it this week or you’ll see me re-post and answer the week’s reply, so I’m not ignoring anyone, promise.

This season is too much fun not to be in on the finish and you’ve all been true fans throughout the season. Thanks for hanging in there, O.K.
