Now that’s what I’m talking about. Turnovers, ball control and gang tackling. I saw a lot of progress out there. I also saw Brandstater behind a second O-line and they did a real nice job.
Sure, all the starters weren’t on the field at the same time but I liked what I saw from a QB that had limited snaps up to this point.
BIG WEEK in anticipation of the opener and what you will see is the speed of the game “click” up a notch…watch and tell me if you see it.
Wanted to wait to post this since we had some big cuts coming yesterday and somewhat interesting with Crowder gone and Holliday signed, looking for that DE we still need in the 3-4. Vernon Fox and Darius Walker gone making room for Brandon and carrying four tackles. The practice squad really helps make difference in practice these days so you can rest some guys.
This was the week of “THE TURK”. I mentioned this last year as he is assistant on the team or the guy who comes or calls you telling you the head coach wants to talk to you….AND… bring your playbook.
Everyone hates the TURK, you’re afraid to answer your door at training camp or answer the phone because you know what his call means. The problem is for 99 percent of the guys…he always calls sometime during your career……usually when it’s ending 
(. Is devastating to most, a relief to others and some guys actually in training camp early are thankful they are getting cut because they can’t quit. As odd as that sounds, I could tell a few funny stories as we had a guy that played bad to be cut so he could go home and run for sheriff.
What’s your take on the 53 man roster? We all know there will still be a few changes early, but curious on your take on who got cut versus who didn’t.
Late entry….I thought I posted this earlier and went back in to add this and it was a draft…sorry. Anyway, look at Vonnie Holliday. On first glance, who does he look like? Curious who the first reply will be from that’s on the same page as me.

Hey Coop, I was scratching my head about Kory being cut. Walker was a shock. I think I was off with 4 picks out of the 22. Not bad. I’m fairly pleased with what we have. I’m phsyched to watch Moreno play. Would like to see some of Brandon Marshall this week. Work him back into the line-up. You never said, do you think Orton is ready to play after his injury? I say yes, which is why they let Ingle go. Thoughts? Oh, and I hope Gaffney hurries and heals.

He looks like Floyd Little. Hope he can bring to the D like Little did to the O. Hi everyone, I have been reading you guys for months. Finally decided to chat. Went to the Arizona game and had a blast. Our D is the best that I can remember! Loved it!!!

Hey Coopster! From the replays I saw, we had a great handle on that game. Solid performance by the D. They did show alot of progress. Still mad I missed it but glad we got a good win like that. Was surprised to see Kory and Walker go but overall pretty happy with the final roster.

Surprised like the others on Kory – not so much with Darious. I like this team but have my doubts on the QB position. I did like the way the 3rd stringer got it downfield a few times. If Orton does not get it past 8 yrds, he will have everyone in the box and there goes the running game.
I think Holliday looks like Shaq? Go look again and tell me if you agree. Hopefully he plays big like Shaq and earns th nickname lil-Shaq??

I like you all would like to see Moreno and Brandon play but wonder about Moreno as I thought he hit the field pretty early after just getting into camp and getting his legs in playing shape.
This will be an interesting Opener with all the questions surrounding the QB, WR, RB positions.
P.S. Anyone see the MIAMI VS FSU game Monday night….WOW!! My CANES are back…what a game. I sat on the edge of my seat through the whole second half. Speed is back at the U and that’s the kind of Cane’s football I’m use to seeing.
