WOW!! what a game!!! If you were watching the same game as I was, you have to be impressed and excited at the baby steps taken with what I currently consider one of the best teams in the NFL.
Tough Defense, innovative game plan, got to see Tebow play and play well at a critical time in the game. CONGRATS on your first NFL TD!!! By the way, that’s really tough to do (come off the sideline cold and play at a high level) Keep that ball somewhere, buddy. Orton was spectacular, the receivers catch with their hands and I love it. The line made noticeable improvements and we’ll touch on that later. I had binoculars the entire game and watched footwork and hands all day.
Like we’ve discussed all year here, this team should get better and better. Baby steps to a championship is what it takes, and you’re seeing it. You might not like it yet because the record doesn’t indicate that looking from the outside in. It’s a long season, and we’ll have a few games like this go our way and few go the other. We’ll likely have another lapse and maybe a blowout on the other end…that’s what young (meaning playing together) teams do almost historically…but I love watching it happen because at the end of the day there’s a lot of satisfaction in the process.
O-line played better, but I did notice false steps and opening the hips on pass rushing giving the door to the defender, and D-lineman will pick up on that and start attacking the edge every time (look out). If you watch carefully, the Jets had as many as 6-8 guys at the line of scrimmage almost every play moving from one side to the other and back again, in the gap, on the outside, moving on the snap, blitzing early and late in the snap count. I watched closely all game. IMPRESSIVE strategy against a young inside group. I thought they handled it really well for a young group and they will only get better. It was fun for me as I visually went through the reads in my minds eye, not always knowing the call but having a decent feel by the way they blocked them or not in some cases. That was a tough front to block, promise.
Love to hear your thoughts and feelings on the game.

Nice post coop, I also like the oline play especially against the blitz… they picked them up very well…even the Rbs picked up blitzes very well.
While some see me as negative (even tho i consider myself a realist lol), To tell the truth, while I am devastated by the loss. I liked the broncos I saw yesterday, from coaching to game play. The play calls werent predictable, we got tebow in there and revived our running game, our defense threw some complex blitz and forced ints and turnovers, we were way less sloppy yesterday than in the past couple of weeks and despite the loss, I can honestly say, I really enjoyed watching that game. Sure a win woulda been better but it is what it is.
The part that hurt me most wasn’t that we lost, it was how we lost. I was yelling. LET THEM GET THE FG just dont let them get the TD. Because I believed we can move the ball down the field but scoring is our problem so we woulda been able to get back into FG range for the game winner (and I trust prater)….Instead, Cox jumped on the short route, holmes took off and all that was left with holmes was a safety. It is very cheap to just throw it up and hope for a pass interferance so that u can just skip down the field with no effort but those are the rules. I am just disheartened that we lost without playing till the whistle blew because of that stupid fumble…I personally thought it was time to bring tebow in the game and since he had run all game, do a play action, and let the rookie take a shot down field…he has the arm for it plus the PA fake out.
Also the drive b4 Tomlinsons first TD was our fault. We knew we sucked at the run but ran it twice and passed on 3rd down. We shoulda kept pushing it. We switched from playing to win, to playing not to lose and we ended up losing because I was saying, 7 point lead and 8mins left is not enough to beat the jets but we were being conservative. All in all good game. Expected us to be at 2-4 by this time in the year.
And to all those like me that have been asking for tebow, asking for creative and unpredictable plays…even tho we didn’t win, you should be as happy as I am that McDaniels is learning that if something doesn’t work, try something else, and thats a step in the right direction because we were looking like a playoff team for a while. All we can do now is move forward in the right direction. Go Broncos. TRB out…
Wow Mark…u must work for the Broncos if u felt good about losing a game where the qb completed less than 50 percent of his passes the D gave up 24 points, the oline false started and held throughout. Not a good look
Yeah I loved watching the game too, by far the most inspiring game so far along with the Tennessee one, but calling Orton spectacular, I would say I must of watched a different game then because 14 completions in 34 attempts for only a 6 yard per completion average for 200 some yards is the furthest thing from spectacular in my mind…
But yeah lots of good stuff, lot of stuff for show but plenty of bad stuff all game long to throw it away too so we end up having nothing to show for, definitely much more conservative in my enthusiasm than you are, but things could be looking up if McD keeps opening it up, using all of his talented players that he has kept on the bench in the past, i.e. Syd’Quan and Tebow, and if the effort keeps on coming. Guardedly optimistic is how I feel. I already posted most of my thoughts in my Good Bad and Ugly piece in the second half blog this morning, 8:14 am post, so sorry if I don’t elaborate much more at this point.
vabronco,
usually agree with you bro, but yesterday, the glass was more hald full than half empty. We werent perfect but we weren’t our predictable dull self. We still need alot of discipline but like coop said baby steps, and the D can only fight back for so long…with all the turnovers they got and only 3 points coming out of it….its hard for a D to constantly play at a high level especially late in the game…need good balance and our last liek 2 drives before lts first TD, were liek 3 and outs. wasted drives.
Now vabroncoguy watched the same Orton I did, LOL.
Coop, thanks for the post. It is nice to have an outlet this soon after the game while thoughts are raw and fresh. I was at the game too, but I focused on how our secondary was playing and if we could stop the run. I was extremely impressed in the defense as a whole especially since Dawkins, Ayers and Goodman were out. We had Sanchez scared to throw the ball by Halftime and the defense held the run so that he had to throw on third. Great effort.
Our offense was disappointing in that we stopped being aggressive in the 4th quarter. Sure we had a lead, but you can’t let your defense rest with two consecutive 3 and outs in the 4th quarter. That is when we should have really pushed, not punted.
That stadium was really rock’in in the second half. I know it was an awful way to lose a game; but I see a number of great things happening with this team and they should be excited about where they sit in the division. We are losing to great teams; the rest of the division is losing to bad teams.
By the way, the orange towel thing needed a little more marketing. Folks used them to wipe the sweat off their brow and then cry in at the end.
Yea, bay all week we were asking for syd quan and other talented youngsters, oc was on a full on tebow campaign, and McD came through and it yeilded alot of success. I will agree with u and VA that the passing game was bad when u look at completions but luckily for us we were able to run the ball which made the poor passing attack look managable, because if we were our usual one dimensional self only passing the ball…with that bad percentage margin, we woulda lost by alot. So yes, there was both progression and regression yesterday…but like i said, it was more half full and half empty to me for the first time in a while…
THANK YOU HOMETEAM007,
I was so pissed by those two 3 and outs. Wasted drives. We only had a 7 point lead with the whole first quarter left, and we started playing conservative and running the ball…and not runnign the ball in the tebow formation that yielded yards, but in the straight up run formation that yeilds no yards. Even tho our D should have held up…our offense really did our D NO FAVORS. Plus the bad FG snap and the missed FG. wasn’t good and to lose on an orton fumble disgusted me. It capped off ortons subpar game even tho i dont know if the fumble was orton or the centers fault. some might say tebow ruined ortons flow thats why his percentage was subpar for the first time this season…its possible but the element tebow added was great and without it we woulda lost by a huge margin. Still not sold on orton…like cassel, he is a product of the system….
The running game went good with Moreno with 48 yards on 12 carries, weird to call that good, LOL, but 4 yard average is very good, aweful fumble though other than that great running TD from Tebow and 23 yards from him, third best was Orton with 22 yards on the ground!!! then Bucky with 20, Maroney with 18, Royal with 13 and Larsen with one. Is that all? LOL, it took seven players to get 145 yards!! It definitely took some creativty to get our running game going, but whatever works. Again, too bad all of this was for nothing. Each time you resort to that much trickery and get no results for it, what you have really done is shown your future opponents what you might of surprised them with otherwise and doing so without having even profited from it, it is very disappointing in that regard. McD will have to come up with a lot more stuff, but I was already amazed that he had that much up his sleeeve, it might be all he’s got, hope not. What this game said to me more than anything else as vabroncoguy alluded to in another blog is that McD doesn’t believe we can square up with our regular stuff against a good team and prevail, hence the constant trickery part, that is not a huge vote of confidence in our team, but I do get it and I think McD was right to open it up, but when you lose having opened up like we did, you can of feel naked afterwards, specially when it was all for none.
I’m with the glass-half-full crowd. I believe Orton’s off day was just that – a fluke. This team will get in sync, fire on all cylinders, put together a 60-minute game and I do think we are playoff bound. It looks to me like the Chargers are going soft and the Broncos are getting fired up.
Don’t get me wrong, I hated the 2 dropped INTs in the first quarter, and the bad snap and (correctly called) interference at the end, but it still feels like this team is pulling together and headed the right way. (I guess suddenly finding a workable running game will do that to a guy.)
Good post Coop. Can’t say much about this game either since I didn’t get to see it. 2nd game in a row I’ve missed because of the Chiefs. Watched as many highlights as I could and from what I saw, this was our best game since Tennessee. Orton clearly struggled a bit, his passing stats weren’t as high or accurate as they have been. Putting in Tebow was one of the best decisions this coaching staff has made all season. The guy knows how to execute plays and it shouldn’t be surprising that he got us a TD and a good one at that. Still think it’s funny McD put him in when he said a few weeks ago that he wouldn’t or had no plans to. It pays off to throw in a guy who’s been warming up a bench… fresh legs, different style of play… bottom line, Tebow got the job done when he got his chance to play. Happy for him and they should consider doing stuff like that more often. He made us look real good in the red zone.
For a young team like what we have, lots of mistakes are to be expected. Even the teams doing well this season have made mistakes. The trick is to learn from them so as a TEAM, we get better. And I agree with you Coop 100%. They will only get better as the season moves on. Even though we didn’t win and at the end it got VERY ugly, overall you can’t deny this team played at its best for most of the game. It’s more than what any of us can say for our performance against Baltimore or Indy or Jax. This young team stepped up in a crucial time of adversity. For the situation our defense was handed this week, they did well. The score could have been a lot worse. If our D was as bad as a lot of people think, we should’ve been blown out of the water. “oh the Jets are so talented… we don’t have a chance”. Bunch of BS right there. We kept this game close, we kept our enemy close.
It was a far from perfect game. I’ve seen us play even better. We still got 2 games to go before our bye. This season for us is far from crumbling and definitely far from over. They have no choice but to step up big against Oakland. Our most hated rival is coming to town, we’ll be heading into that game with 2 disappointing losses on our minds… use that to show the Raiders how it’s done in the Mile High City. If we let them win, then I know we got a very serious problem. We should win our next 2 games and go into our bye week a proud team.
I like the way you think Coopster… baby steps all the way. Our critics and doubters won’t see it coming. haha That’s the best part.
Have some faith Bronco Country…
GO BRONCOS in 2010!!!!
Baylin, “the constant trickery”???
It is funny how everyone was shouting for McDaniels to mix it up and not be so predictable. He does, and now its a bunch of gimmicks and trickery. I am sorry, but the truth is, every opposing defense prepares ahead and the more an opposing defense has to look at and be ready to defend, the better it is for us. I don’t see us as naked or at a disadvantage at all.
Unfortunately, you are right about the end result. We put a lot on the table and lost. The bright side is that we are not out of the game by a long shot and we have a ton of upside in my humble opinion.
everyone is going to have an off game and orton was off a little bit… or maybe alot but next week against oakland if we can stop their run game then we can defeat them big time… and they are not as good as the jets so what I saw was that we could hang in with the elite teams if they work hard and stay together.. I say now is the time to stop shuffling the o line. This line has been the most impressive line all year. Time to start building on this week and lets win from now on. We are 2-4 and we can go out 4-4 into our bye.. and then start dominating from there. too many mistakes clean those mistakes up we win..I am excited to see where we go from here.
As for Orton’s performance…. I saw a lot of passes that were simply broken up by good defense. If we were playing against nearly any other team, they would have been completions. Again….look at who we nearly beat. Its the Jets, they aren’t slouches. Orton went right at Revis and Cromartie and did pretty good.
There were a few passes that must have been throw aways because of pressure or miscommunication as well. I am not going to agree that Orton had a crap game though. ZERO INTERCEPTIONS.
One more thing, we threw one pass to our TE, Graham, who I love, and it was dropped. Where was Greer, Gronkowski or Quinn? Or should I say Scheffler? We could have really used an outlet with all the LB blitzes.
I agree, enough with the doom and gloom. We played well, missed some opportunities obviously, but for the most part, it was a good game by the Broncos. Im not 100% sure but I think we have played the toughest schedule in the NFL so far, if not, top three. And we probably have one of the easiest schedules left, this is on paper of course and things can change. But there is definitely some optimism out there. My only complaint was that it seemed like we settled for the go ahead field goal. If I remember correctly we moved the ball really well to the Jets territory and then ran twice with Tebow, threw a bad pass and hit the field goal. Why not a screen or a playaction, the things that were working? Its easy to say that now of course, I know that, but at the time I could just see it coming. Oh well, Ive been saying all year, just need to be 4-4 at the bye week and we’ll be fine. Im seeing a Raider blowout just because we haven’t done it in awhile. 38-6 Bronco victory in six days.
Revis and Chromartie are the two big reasons why Orton had an off day. Probably the best two CBs we’ve seen all year and they’re on the same team. I think the biggest thing was he was maybe “forcing” a little bit and maybe didn’t take the usual underneath route.
The team shouldn’t need McD to call them out this week. Raiders at home, must win game, time to break the losing streak!!!
Go Broncos!!!!
What’s up everyone! I’m not happy abpout the loss like the rest of you, but I honestly see hope after yesterdays game. I haven’t been saying a whole lot on the Blogs, but I have been BEGGING to see more Intensity from our team.
Finally I saw Intensity from every phase of the game, but the problem was ourselves bc we had plenty of chances. When D.J. Williams sold all out on one of those plays had me jumping off my couch with excitement.
Our WR’s remind me of the ones who started out as NO NAMES here in New Orleans. People didn’t know much about them, but they are unselfish and celebrate each other. I love seeing the bond that our Denver Receivers have and they keep getting better.
The drive that lead to our last points had me very heated. We were running clock and moving the all. Yet we try to go deep down the sideline and ended up stopping the clock. Where were the Famous “Bubble Screens” when we needed them. We could’ve got the clock low enough to force the Jets to use timeouts before we scored. Oh well time to get ready for the CHOakland Faiders.
I watched the KC – Houston game prior to the Bronco game. The Chiefs are for real!
LLoyds catch, TD
Except for the glowing report on Orton, I totally agree with your observations Coop. Unpredicatble plays (Except it was always a running play with Tebow in); inspired play by one and all. Like the Colts game, early Bronco miscues kept the opponent in the game and eventually led to the Jets lucky win.
There were quite a few momenbtum changing plays in mthe game.
1) Moreno fumble costs Broncos at least 3 points.
2) Bad snap on FG costs Broncos 3 points.
3) Jets make 3rd and 2, result TD.
4) Gafney’s catchg over Revis (Who looked quite beatable), resuilt TD
5) Broncos 1st INT, Jrets lose at least FG
6) Prater hits 59 yardere.
7) Prater misses from 49 yards, no Bronmco FG, Jets get FG
10) Broncos recover fumblke, Jets lkose 3 – 7 points.
11) Ortons run for 1st down, Bronco FG.
12) Inerferance of wounded duck pass, game, set, match.

I was very concerned about how the Broncos would play after getting pounded by the Ravens. Fron HC on down, every Bronco played with imagination, enthusiasm, and a burning desire to play the best they possibly could. I felt that the Broncos would be 4-4 after the first 8 games. There’s no reason that it won’t happen. I’m looking forward tyoi the SD game. I put away SD game as a sure loss. Not any more. This is going to be an exciting season that only gets better as the season progresses.
oldsouthstander….. I agree with you on the 4-4. I told my lil brother after game four that I hoped that we could go into the Bye 6-2, 5-3, or 4-4 at the worst. So I’m right with you on that.
OldSouthstander…I agree, this division and this season is getting very fun to watch.
Nobody is unbeatable and the Broncos are getting better, if they can get healthy and stay positive watch out!!!
A good team? We are an improving team. A good team takes advantage of turnovers. A good team knows how to finish. A good team scores in the red zone. A good team does not committ penalties that cost you the W.
We have our first must win game this Sunday. I hope the players can get over this loss. I don’t want to see a repeat of last year. Oakland has had our number the last 4 years or so.
Get Healthy, GO BRONCOS 2K10!!
I agree with you bay and vabroncoguy on the front that McD doenst believe we can square up agaisnt good opponents with our usual stuff. Same last year…anytiem we were playing a real competitor, we changed it up. Bust out the wild horses against the patriots…this year as well, when it a real contender we switch it up….funny thing is….our regular stuff rare works against anybody…not just real contenders…he needs to incorporate his creative stuff EVERY GAME…maybe not all of it but some of it…open it up more because video on us is pretty stale, defenses dont need to watch a bunch of videos…usually just one from one game and they got the whole geast cuz thats how we play EVERY game, except agaisnt playoff teams.
I agree..also like how the division is shaping up this year…woulda been better if we won this game especially after SD lost to rams, and chiefs to Texans. Its a toss up this year which makes our chances alot better.
yes sndvl, improving is the right word. thats all ive been saying…far from perfect, but just the little changes we made that made us look more dynamic from the coaching aspect got me excited enough….if we keep it up.
Great article Coop! After witnessing the horrific pass interference on our end and the Walton mis-snap to Orton… it was initially hard to put things in perspective. Ironically, that kind of loss hurts much worse than the way we lost to the Ravens I sulked for several hours. Then after running every play I could remember through my mind a couple hundred times I had to cheer up. We’re on our way. This year may not be our year. We may or may not make the playoffs, but we are forging a championship caliber team and I love it!
VA,
We can always count on you to be the number one hater. The statistics say one thing about Orton but they don’t explain what actually happened. Our recievers went up against two of the best corners in the league, and I think Orton did his part. In tight coverage he put the ball where it couldn’t be intercepted and gave our recievers the opportunity to go out and get the ball. There were quite a few of those where Demaryius or Lloyd just couldn’t bring it down due to some outstadning play on the part of Cromartie and Revis. There were also great catches in seemingly impossible coverage at times, and we can thank Orton for putting the ball where they had an opportunity to make a play. Not one single loss this year can be pinned on Orton. I was a nonbeliever too by the end of last season, but I’ve been proud of his performance 2010.
I have to say I’m really pleasantly surprised by the overall positivity by my fellow bloggers on here. Good for you, and good for the Denver Broncos! If we continue to play how we did on Sunday we’ll be 4-4 going into the bye, and we’ll come out in position to make a run for the playoffs! GO BRONCOS!!!
Old South, you forgot the onside kick! That was genius!
And last but not least guys, I’m going to go ahead and give myself I big pat on the back. I was the only one who predicted we would finally break 100 yards rushing against the Jets in my response to the “5 Defenders Out” article. Who in his right mind would have predictied that!?
Trade line is tomorrow… see any possibilities of broncos doing anything? Shaun Rogers is on the trading block and he is relatively young (compared to Jamaal Williams) and Asomougha is also a possibility(especially since we havent signed champ yet) we have a very solid young DB crew but Dline could use a boost. maybe trade a second round pick for rogers or use a first round for asomougha? what do you guys think??
My guess is that the AFC West division is going to be won by an 8-8 to 9-7 when the year ends. Slim pickens this year.
So far this season we only have won games when we score more than 20 points, twice, in each of the 4 losses all we could muster is 20 max, that will have to change as the rest of the season is played out, we have an Offense that on paper should score at least 30 a game, scoring is a major issue neeeding to be addressed because our D is just not good enough to keep teams under 20 points since they have only done that once in 6 games. Until that happens on a constant basis, we will run into problems. Our O needs to step it up, or our D, either way, I don’t really care, but one of them has to improve significantly to become that good team I know we all wish we could be be, heck in a perfect world I want both the D to keep teams under 20 and the O to score more than 30, but I know we are far from perfect, so since McD is supposedly the genius offensive mind, doing it with the O seems to be the most likely possibility. We better score more than twenty against the Raiders, I’m sincerely getting antsy about our lack of scoring.
As far as trades go…doubt we will do any. But I would welcome shaun rodgers…especially if we switch to more of a 4-3 front because of injuries to doom and ayers. I think we played more 4-3 in the Jets game. And I like what I saw most of the time. I think 3-4 was such a power D because everyone had been using mostly 4-3 for many years so most Os werent versed in blocking the 3-4 but with 3-4 becoming more popular, 4-3 might come back in style more so than now.
Bay, Shanahan was an offensive mastermind as well but in his last season same woes, best offense…worst redzone offense. I think if orton does score from out of the redzone, when we get to like the 10….Tebow time in my opinion…and not just running, maybe playaction…who knows, many possibilities … and im surprised u are just now get antsy about our lack of scoring, been a problem for like the past 3 years lol
I agree that this game was a step in the right direction, though I don’t know why Cooper thinks the Broncos are one of the best teams in the NFL.” O-line played better, still not very good rush blocking though, and it was evident in the 4th when they tried to run out the clock but kept getting stuffed. Orton had an off day (as in not 300 yards lol) and the teams till kept it close. Much better showing on the defensive side, but the two touchdowns at the end allowed to LT was pathetic. Tackling on the long TD run was not there (he ran through 3 or 4 players) and he was untouched on the last one.
Broncos played well but still made too many mistakes, mental and otherwise. To beat the elite teams in the NFL, they can’t make mistakes like they have been doing. Keep it up guys, Go Broncos!
Yeah, haha, trying to be as positive as I know how, don’t won’t to bring up the Shanny days anymore, all that matters now is what happens on McD’s clock.
It was a good game that the Broncos came 1 play away from a win,
Go Redskins!
Bronco Born. I didn’t mention the onside kick because it didn’t result in any points fror the Broncos, but it certainly was exciting to see McD pull a rabbit out of his bag of tricks.
Coop had a kind of down on the team blog last week after the Ravens game, so my thinking is he is just balancing it out after a better effort this week, or maybe someone straightened him out about it, LOL.
BTW stebbyfan, Coop was actually saying the Jets were one for the best team in the NFL, not us, at least that’s how it read to me, Coop doesn’t drink that much orange koolaid, LOL.
OLAP HAS JUST TYPED SOMETHING OMG LOL
OHH NOOOOO, this is my favorite back up receiver, and yet another broken foot, if I wasn’t down before I am now….:
Broncos reserve wide receiver and special teams player Matt Willis broke a bone in his foot in Sunday’s loss to the Jets.
He is scheduled to have surgery.
The injury could end Willis’ season, especially if the Broncos decide they need Willis’ roster spot right away in light of numerous injuries elsewhere on the roster.
And if that wasn’t enough both Vickerson and Royal suffered groin injuries, the two year ago bug…
Oh no. Not Eddie. Well, with Willis out, I guess we’ll see some Decker. Maybe. Lol
I understand injuries are part of the game, but this is twilight zone territory.
And Vickerson has been a major player since we are moving to more of a 4-3 against teams who like to run it like the Jets. All day we had J Williams, Bannan, Thomas and Vickerson on the D line and when Vickerson went out with that groin injury late in the game is when the Jets started clicking on the ground. And Sunday we play the Raiders who love to pound it, we better get Vickerson back is all I’m trying to say, and missing Royal would hurt in more ways than one, O and ST, huge injuries there, hoping for a quick recovery.
seeing more decker is the only bright side if any to royal and willis injuries. But so much for my fantasy since i got royal lol. Willis was a star but with so much talent at receiver he couldn’t get a chance. No way he beats out a first round pick in Thomas for playing time…just the way it is…not saying its right…but thomas has showed up. Just no more returns for him too…McD did listen tho…saw syd on returns even tho he fair caught em all and on defense with an INT…
yea when he said one of the best teams in NFL..i interpreted it as jets are one of the best…i can see how it could be mistaken however…
well Denver IMO played great yesterday, a few mistakes by PLAYERS led to our downfall. I capitalized players because the Jets and Rex Ryan were out coached yesterday, but our players made crucial mistakes at big points in the game that led to our downfall. McD brought it and it worked, obviously we need to turn those offensive yards into points, but we played great against one of the leagues toughest defenses. Does anyone else think we may see a Tebow jump pass soon? I think next time we are on the one or closer…expect it! Excited to see what goes down tomorrow! do you really think we might trade champ? Rogers and Ausomoagh (I know I spelled it wrong) would be amazing pick-ups, but I wouldn’t give our 1 and 2 for them.
GO BRONCOS!!!! make me proud, I am expecting to be surprised at some point in the next 36hrs!
McD has said that Willis season is over. I heard it on 850 KOA.
To get Rogers would be a major upgrade, but for what do we trade is the question?
Who was it that had said we should fire our strength and conditiioning coach a few years ago? Well it turns out Rich Tuten, our current guy, has been here for 16 years. In light of what’s been happening since 2006 or even 2005, I think it may indeed be time for a change.
So many of you guys have watched a lot more football than I have – what’s the soonest you’ve seen someone recover from a groin injury? I know there’s different degrees of severity that are possible but what do you think is the best and worst case scenarios? Also I missed all but the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter while I was on my way to work yesterday. Did Decker start lining up in the slot after Royal left the game? Is that is likely role if Royal can’t play? I’ve heard some specualtion, but I wanna know what all you guys think.

All Orange.. All Day… All the time….
In Orange We Trust…..
Iv’e never been to a losing Bronco game before where I felt soo…………… good? No joke…
We never did do the Orange Wave but we got up and sat down for every play so it was kinda like doing a uni-wave of Orange excitement..! Everyone around us was soo nice and we would all high five each other and talk about the plays and it was like being with 73,000 family members all at once… Except a little gang of Jet fans that kept trying to do the j-e-t-s jets, jets, jets song but we all kept putting in s-u-k-s suks, suks, suks…hahaha… what a fun time…!!
It was a Spetacular game to have watched and that stadium friggin ROCKED.. Man I was stomping that metal floor like a farmer putting out a grass fire!!! And it was MAKING THUNDER that shook the whole place!!! What a blast! Every time Sanchez got up to the huddle the thunder began to roll and by the time he gut under center it was like a 7.0 on the ricter scale…..!!! what a cool feeling for my son to experience…
My little orange dream come true!!!!

BB&R…yes Decker was lining up in Royal’s spot at the end of the game yesterday. I was disappointed we didn’t target him more on the two series where we were backed up to our end zone. It looked as though the middle of the field was fairly open. I think we will see more of Decker and Deymarius as the season moves on.
