6-0, Say No More!

October 20th, 2009 - 10:04am by mark_cooper

Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, go baby, GO!! Was that fun to watch or what? My son had just walked upstairs and I called to him to come watch the run. WOW! History in the making with a punt return (71 yds) and a kickoff return (93 yds) for touchdowns.

Then, the Chargers replied with their own version of a punt return. I wasn’t happy but that makes for fun TV and fan viewing and the halftime show was funny with Chris Berman saying all you had to do was watch 4th down and the kicking game to enjoy the first half.

They had our number early then the D… as in DOOM (two sacks) and the Boys started firing on all cylinders. Five sacks, a bunch of knockdowns, a bunch of in-your-face Philip Rivers while you try to throw the ball. You really have to give Coach Nolan a lot of credit in that he really shut down Rivers with the blitz package in the second half. From the corners and the middle walking up and back, disguising it well.

Add 17 unanswered points and Kyle Orton to Tony Scheffler, Brandon Stokley and precision passing with something like a 148 percent passer rating. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! One of the announcers was funny, saying Chicago should have received two first round picks for Orton. I have some buddies who are Bears fans and (you know how I am by now) and one asked me kiddingly in an e-mail this week if they could have Orton back. I laughed and e-mailed him that, “You made your bed, now sleep in it.”

After the game I texted another buddy (6-0). Haven’t heard back from him yet? And I asked him where did we get Orton from again? HA! HA! Let’s see — Orton 20/29 and 229 yards passing with two TD’s, hmmmm.

How about Eddie Royal? Congrats buddy and I had to giggle a little thinking he might have still been upset that Georgia Tech beat his alma mater on Saturday. His 253 total all-purpose yards and the (11th) man in NFL history to have returned a kickoff and a punt for TDs. Great accomplishment!

Call me BIASED or HOMER but I got a little sick of all the Gates talk when Scheffler had six receptions for 101 yards and Gates had five for 70 yards? Is there something wrong here? I THINK so!

T.O.P. — Yep, again and I don’t even have to say what that is…you all know — 30:43 vs 29:17.

One thing bugged me a little during the game. Brandon Marshall kicking the ball out of frustration was one, but I think the Chargers took him out of sync by pushing and shoving and talking trash and playing (hands-on) and in his face early in the game. They covered him well and that seemed to rub on him. That worried me in that other teams will watch the film and see how he reacted to being handled and try to do the same thing. And of course, the announcers start bringing up his entire past … I understand that from an announcers standpoint but really not material to the game and really a distraction. Problem is, that will keep happening as long as he reacts like that to other players.

Don’t let me forget the O-LINE … the Big Fellas … one sack. Just steady, solid and gave Orton the time he needed and often he could have sipped a margarita while he waited for someone to get open. Nice job by offensive line coach Rick Dennison and the FELLAS!

Enjoy an off week fellas, while we keep whoooooping it up!

Take this to the bank, Marshall has 7 or more catches for 90 or more yards and 1 or more TDs against Baltimore. The weakness of that Ravens defense is definitely their CBs and Marshall matches up VERY well in terms of size and power. If they can keep him away from Ed Reed he will be able to impose his will on Foxworth and Carr like it is nobodys business.

  2. rayjr26 says:

well, looks like everyone covered all the topics i had in mind. but….
the marshall meltdown was DUMB! he knows it, the coaches know it, his teamates know it, and we level headed fans sure as HELL know it! i dont see that happening again… or else! you can play the game passionately and still keep a cool head, thats what great players do! again, i dont see that happening again with bm.
the O… ok, still some offense/orton bashers so this ones for you! you are still unhappy with our offense? they put up 34 pts on monday, and have only gotten better as the season has gone on. you want to say that 14 of those points came on special teams, but you dont have ANY idea what our offense may have done if those returns dont make it to the endzone! maybe orton throws for another 100 yds and a TD, plus moreno breaks one for a second TD. So unless you have glasses that can see alternate endings, leave em alone! orton completely outplayed brady, and only has one pick. our offense is putting up around 27 pts a game the last couple weeks, what more do you want? until you have something to back up your ridiculos claims, just leave it alone! we dont need a new QB, and dont be surprised if MCD doesnt draft one next year. although i think simms will be gone after this season and Brandstater will be our #2. honestly one of the best plays i saw Orton make last game was when he stood in the pocket for about 10 sec and then just threw it out of bounds. No open recievers so he just got rid of it. i will admit i was skeptical of orton after the trade, and very nervous after the first preseason game, and still a bit shaky after the cincy win, but the man is doing everything that we ask of him. i would like to see him use the RB’s out of the backfield more tho! i noticed one play in particular where he had a back wide open in the flat and chose to throw downfield to marshall instead. not sure if that is an orton thing or a McD thing, but enough said on that i think. my 2 cents

Nobody is BASHING Orton. HE is a Bronco he is our Quarterback and we respect the job he has done. BUT to say he is a winning these games for us and all he does is win, is RIDICULOUS and LUDICROUS.

First off in every interview Orton admits that he didnt win the game the Broncos Did. Look this guy has made several mistakes and several bad reads and we as a TEAM have compensated for it and came away with a W. Like several people have said if you look back at the majority of our wins, if the DEFENSE wasnt as spectacular as it is right now, we would have L’s instead of W’s. and that’s a FACT. B marshall has knocked down several would be interceptions. the Immaculate reception from Cincinnati could have very easily went the other way. So to say that Orton won the game for us is BOGUS. He contributed to the Win with everyone else and the DENVER BRONCOS as a WHOLE won the game. THe coaching and adjustments made after halftime, the all out effort and fight from each player won these games.

ALL of our players have HUMBLED themselves and there egos and stats, to be TEAM FIRST players. SO PLEASE DONT SAY THAT ONE PERSON WON THE GAME OR ALL THIS GUY DOES IS WIN. It takes way more than Orton or anyone else to win a game. TO WIN YOUR WHOLE TEAM HAS TO SHOW UP IN SOME FORM.

Orton you are a great Player and keep being humble and smart and working the system.

As for the need for a franchise QB, I stand behind that because I have yet to see our offense running on all cylinders with CONSISTANT accurate passing and a Dissecting of Defenses.

I think Orton is great in our system, but we still need a QB that is on that next level for our future. IE a FRANCHISE QB.

Bottom line is Coach Mac knows better then any of us what we need and what needs to happen so I will accept his decision as this is the MCDANIEL ERA!!

  4. Broncosforlife80 says:

yeah and for the people that call me out under their breath for the comments i made….do you even know how to read?????????????
i mean cmon haha saying im bashing orton and the O i mean really do you hear urself haha im not bashing anybody or anything im realistic dont be to quick to pull the trigger and put orton on a level he simply is not…yeah hes a good QB but the way you are talking makes it seem hes the best QB to ever play in the NFl…watch the games over he misses recievers often hes inaccurate sometimes he holds the ball for way to long people say he got sacked so much cuz of bears O-line well yeah sure but also he brings alot by sitting there all day and most of his yards come off yac…his recivers are better then the ones he had in chicago so DUH! what did you expect his numbers to stay the same????of course not its just common sense…

so i know in a about an hour or to somebodys going to come on here saying”OMG OMG HES BASHING ORTON” OMG!
just dont please for the sake of my eyes…all im saying is dont get your heads stuck up in the clouds
He hasent shown me anything i didnt know already since he first came in the league and he hasent done things i already knew he didnt do
TEAM is good! Defense is EXCELLENT! Offense is gettin there!
But please spare with me the Hall Of Fame chatter

    Broncos4life…

The thing you got to look at though is, would you rather have a QB that has patience and takes his time and gets sacked a couple of times and throws the ball away, or have a QB that throws a lot of interceptions and gives turnovers away. That is what truly makes a QB special. Orton has also increased majorly in his accuracy. I am totally set on Orton being our QB for years to come. Look at NFL.com and they have him ranked at #5. Hes in front of Big Ben, Brady, Palmer, Rodgers, Rivers, and our old QB Whiny Cutler!!! I am not dogging you or anything, I can see what your saying but Orton is EXACTLY what this team needs and I am more than satisfied that we have him!!

  7. baylinorcrush says:

In these last couple of posts the words Defense, Offense and Team are mentioned multiple times but the word(s) Special Team is not spoken, not even once. I tell you, the ST is the Dangerfield of football, it gets no respect.

Glad McD last week made ST the major point of emphasis, like I had been saying all week we needed to improve ST big time in order to beat the Chargers. To listen to most everyone, it’s like the O and the D is all that’s flamboyant and worthy of attention, at least some eyes had to be open with Royal’s performance this week, but unfortunately, in the eye of the average fan the ST will soon fall back into anonymity and will only be brought up for its’ short comings if Prater misses a key FG. Sad, these 11 guys work as hard and are as important to the game as the other 22.

I know you guys were making a point about Orton, so you’ll say there was no reason to speak of ST, yet D and O was brought up multiple times but ST totally absent, just like in 90% of the posts, except this week (Royal 2 TD’s). The ST is like the Oline in the O, or the nose tackle in the D, unselfish hard working players who’s accomplishment are usually unsung, just ask Coop, this happens to be his blog. I do totally agree so far this has been a total TEAM accomplishment, not just D, or just O and D, but O, D and ST.
    53 players.

I guess I just said all that to show my appreciation to all the players who usually don’t get rightly recognized for their accomplishments. Thanks to all you players, everyone of you, for busting your tail on the field to give us fans what we all are looking for, WINS.

    6-0. Happy fan here.

  8. rayjr26 says:

oops, accidentally hit enter. anyway, we are not talkin HOF here, but to touch on a few of your points… yac…. every QB in this league depends on yac to increase their yardage, so that doesnt apply. dont forget that is the recievers job! next, does he miss some throws? OF COURSE HE DOES! every QB in the league misses some throws… even manning. as for some passes being knocked down by the wide out to save an int… again… thats their job! how often do you hear of recievers telling their QB to “just put it up there and let me make a play on it”. the idea being that either he catches it or makes sure the defense doesnt. sacks…. i will grant you that orton is not a SUPER athlete. he is not going to run the ball often, and he definately is not going to out run too many defenders, but he is a pocket passer, which with our O line is a good thing! and you say he holds the ball too long… sometimes ya, but he has a lot of reads to make. it sometimes takes a few to find that open guy in one on one. if its not there, he throws it away! i can see orton bein here for a while, McD likes him, and he has what they call poise. my vote, stay with him for bout 3 yrs. then worry. not tryin to start nothing, just my opinion! oh, and ya, i CAN read! lol

  9. vraptor567 says:

OK so did anyone here see this coming? 6-0 WOW and when is the last time we saw special teams kick that much butt. Been too long for me and for certain never with a rookie lineup like this (and yes I am including McD), freaking amazing, not underrating our D which has been off the charts or the offense which gets better by the week. Makes us all proud to be Bronco fans (still don’t know what to do with that #6 jersey though). Seems like things are going our way (ok the BM penalty was a blem on the game). At the beginning of the season every single commentator was discounting the Broncos and they have been choking back their words, at this point they are all saying our Broncos “are for real” so I guess we (our team really) showed them a thing or 2. Still seeing a lot of those sensitive Orton fans, toughen up guys/gals we always back our QB but that doesn’t mean we ignore what goes on on the field, he is having his best season, not flashy, and plays “smart” which is perfect for the McD offense, and while different from what we Broncos fans are used to (hey we like the gun) its a game plan that is working, so rock steady KO and wear the C proudly.
Now the wife noticed its a by week so her project management hat is on and I am going to miss not having a Bronco game to watch (damn I was hoping she wouldn’t notice, she denies it but she is a BRONCO fan).

  13. Broncosforlife80 says:

baylinorcrush- I brought up special teams in my last post i dont get on here alot so their few and far between but i made a point of it!

Im not even going to bring up the orton thing cause all it does is start up things and arguments that never end…we all have our opinions! but i liked this TEAM all my life BRONCOS!

I dont care who’s under center as long as its a W..
but i just cant stand Overrating..a pet peeve and we just beat one of em’ that has bothered me for years i cant stand the OVERRATED chargers! i dislike them even more now then the raiders. and thats saying something ha! Their the most Overrated team in the National Football League! and maybe even in history!

  14. 4broncosjeff says:

Butler has 7 picks and i hope he chokes on the new contract. I live near cinci and i told my bengirl fan friends to give him a extra hit, like in cheap shot. I bet he is shaking his head thinking what did I do. haa haa I guess i will watch that game this weekend. buy weekends stink.

baylinorcrush, your 3:10 post is right on with the ST. ST is just as important as the O and the D. Need them to keep playing tough.

Broncosfreak30 you are also right on with your statement about the first half. The O could not get on the field in the first half. Eddie kept doing his thing. oh no, they are getting ready to talk about Butler and his new contract on ESPN. going to turn it off. Cant take it he is so self centered and i think an idiot. How can you even think in this league that you are not tradable? Back to the subject. The O really did not have much of a chance in the first half. They need to be on the field to score. But I will take those special teams points every week.

  15. baylinorcrush says:

broncosforlife80, 4broncosjeff, glad to see you out here talking about ST. This week I’m praising their turnaround performance, last week I was giving them the reaming they deserved, it was a comedy of errors, no, horrors. But either way they are important and should never be underestimated.

4broncosjeff, I understand your frustration over how Cutler treated us but I know you didn’t mean for him to get hurt by a cheap shot, I hope. These guys have only one way to make a living, with their body, and life after football for most of them will be hard enough without wishing anyone hurt while playing, no matter how much we might hate a guy. And about Cutler, not to worry, as I said in an earlier post: like the Bears fans say “the Bears is where QB’s come to die…”.

  16. 4broncosjeff says:

baylinorcrush Not physically, well just maybe a bruise. Defiantly his ego though. You now what I mean. Thanks for keeping me in check. Did not really mean for it to sound like that. Never like seeing someone get hurt.

  17. broncosfreak30 says:

Well special teams is something that I look and read exactly what it says, SPECIAL! I love it whenever our special teams is up and they return it because it takes A LOT of pressure off of our offense. We get an automatic 7 pts and the defense comes back out to defend those points. Haha, I guess you can say that Eddie probably wore out our Defense on Monday night!! Overall, special teams is VERY important and yes, is very far overlooked by most fans. Just like Kyle Orton said, “It is very hard to lose a football game whenever your special teams runs back returns for touchdowns.”
    Amen to that!!

There’s the Coopster bloggers I KNOW and LOVE!!

Diversity, Adversity, Cat-fights-Dogfights, passion and KNOW the GAME. Gotta be careful what you say here guys, gals young and old, because you will be called out on the mat by the experts.

I think some of you went back a few blogs to the off-season and found a few Crow eaters too.

I’ve been sitting her reading through all the posts and absolutely laughing out loud (LOL) I love the passion you all bring to this blog.

I forget who said it…about using A-1 steaksauce on their Crow…too funny. I had mud-duck…much better meduim rare.

Mondono, on the hoops article you posted, funny you ask. I played with my son at 6am at the Rec center this weekend and sprained my ankle. Talk about out of shape and think I can still do what I use to. Are you kidding me….I only have one speed (wide-open) so I need to find a throttle as I get older. Problem is, I still “think I can.” As my son said,,Dad, you use to have hops, what happened.” :o)

Brings me to point. Same as the guys on the field. They are playing a game that they are deeply passionate about so emotions flare. I understand that passion and hate to see announcers just use it, twist it often, to talk about something negative and just fill airtime. We’d hate the game it it didn’t have emotion…right?

These guys come in the league at 22-23 years young, living a dream, so I always lean on the cut them (some) slack side. They’re young men, some are boys playing a mans game. It takes some time to mature and some never do. You know what I’m talking about. You get some bad with ALL the good. Gotta love emotion on the filed and on the sidelines. I do.

Yea, yea, the Bears are going to pay Cutler some bucks…..if you lived in Chicago where their QB position had been as desolate as the Sahara desert, you’d pay for the the QB position too. I can’t rmemeber the last great QB there and don’t say McMann. By the way “Windy City”..anything come to mind :o)

A lots been said about Orton. His stats speak volumes. Here’s something to think about. In this offense, everyone had a role to play. Almost like basketball. I use that analogy because we’re all use to hearing about ROLE players, shooting guards, running guards, strong forwards, center’s that handle the middle, etc. We’re not use to that in football. This offense is a ROLE type offense and it’s NEW to me too. And that’s what Coach McDaniels had done. He’s found the right combination of guys that fit the role, understand it and WIN…pretty simple when you think of it like that.

    Baltimore next…any thoughts??

  22. broncosfreak30 says:

Great post Coop, yea I think Baltimore will be a straight up fist fight. But I think they have went downhill ever since the beginning of the season! They were in the top five of offense and defense and have moved out of that. With seeing how the played the Vikings, Bears, and Bengals, I can definitely see us coming out on top 7-0. The only downside is that they are also going to be coming off of a bye week. It’s going to be hard just like San Diego. It just sucks that were having to play 2 teams in a row that are just coming off of their bye weeks with SD and Baltimore. I think if we can win IN SD then I think we can definitely win in Baltimore!
    What do you think coop??

  23. 4broncosjeff says:

Black Birds are a tough bunch. This is one of those study hard take lots of notes and get ready to get hit games. AFC North is a tough division and they have had people pulling on those feathers for a few weeks now. They will be ready for a tough physical game, we see them alot on TV aroud here. Rex Ryan may have left but that D is stillll tough with Ray Lewis and the crew. They also have a good O that is comming around also. This will also be a tough game but i think McD will put a good game plan together. Though I think our D is better than the one they have. (faster) Really we need another good game from ST this week, my be the difference.

On the O side of the ball, Kyle better be ready for the blitz. Recievers, ours are most definitely much better. Line, running backs also. Qb I will say as even. Flacco is also a good young QB. On paper, we should win.

    GO BRONCOS

  24. emaldo says:

I greatly enjoyed the way Nolan and the D clamped down on the Chargers in the 2nd half…I’ve always said if we get beat because we’re to aggressive than so be it, I would rather lose that way then to lose playing PREVENT defense…lets use this time off to rest up, get healthy and get ready for the rest of the season. Let’s put it on ‘em for the rest of the season and not let up…

  25. denpowerhouse says:

Well put COOP, as far as your basketball analogy. When you talk about role and position players, that’s just what Mcdaniels did when he went out and got all of these players, when at the time some were kinda questioning the age of these players, vs the ones we had ( younger ) and let go. Now comes the skill in player for the position and the smarts he was looking for in all these new players to make it all work. Mike Nolan is a big reason for the turn around on defense. Now for the up comming game with baltimore. When Rex Ryan left to to the jets, the ravens defense has not been the same, plus the loss of some players, due to going to other teams, the core of the defense that once was feared, is now not so strong. Ray Lewis still makes his share of playes, but if we can get mis-matches for our recivers, our offence line gives Orton time to throw, we will be okay. In the Vikings game when the ravens came back, the vikings let them back in the game. Poor defense in the second half. Joe Flacco has had to throw alot more then he is used to, not his strong suit, but he has done okay with it. I dont see a break down on defense like the vikings had. OKAY COOP, YOU ASKED, WHAT DO YOU THINK ? I STILL SEE A WIN LATER!!!!!

  26. patientbronco says:

Great post Coop, as usual. Hey, did Eddie’s return day remind anyone of a former Bronco. I haven’t seen that good a day on special teams since Glynn Milburn was with the team. Scary thing is that he has the talent if given lanes to run through to do that a lot.

Looking at all 6 wins, the common thread has been different players stepping up to make clutch plays in each win. I love getting to watch great team play week after week. As for the upcoming games, I see a lot of good teams that are still vulnerable. The Ravens are good, but the defense has lost a bit of the edge they had previously (still dangerous though). I think our team is playing better as a team though and the D is the best in the league at adjusting, the Ravens off is not terribly good at making adjustments on the fly though so I think we win this one. In fact the only team I see on our schedule with any real shot at actually outplaying us is the Colts (provided we dont have a letdown, wich is likely), and they are not playing as well as they have in the past either.

This Bronco team can go as far as they want to, I see a lot of obsticles to them getting to and advancing in the playoffs, but the team effort, focus, desire, and humility will give them a chance at winning every single week. I’m not predicting a perfect season and a superbowl victory, at least not the perfect season part. I am saying that we have a competative team that can win on any sunday, and as fans thats all we can really ask for.

  27. baylinorcrush says:

Coop, I figured I’d give you a little Raider laugh from this article in a local Austin paper, the ONION. It’s purely a satirical publication and here are a few excerpts from the “Raiders achieve first down” article:

EAST RUTHEFORD, N.J.- In a improbable display of competence and on a basic execution of football fundamentals, the Oakland Raiders stunned the football world Sunday when running back Michael Bush miraculously rushed for three yards against the Giants and succeeded in converting a first down.

The Raiders, who fearlessly faced a third and one situation on their own 22 yard line, somehow gained the 36 inches needed for an elusive first down, despite numerous obstacles that included a professional NFL defense, owner Al Davis’ incompetent personel decisions, mediocre play calling and general ineptitude.

NFL analyst Tom Jackson registered his incredulity, saying that after he saw the Raiders gain 9 yards on the first two plays of the series, a “miraculous achievement” in and of itself, he never could have imagined they’d gain the one yard necessary to begin another set of offensive downs. The fact that they actually gained two extra yards beyond the first down marker, Jackson said, left everyone in ESPN studios besides themselves.

“On any given play there is so much potential for the Raiders to lose a significant number of yards that you never expect them to actually gain anything, Jackson said. “But they did it. They made a first down. And on three tries, like a normal pro football team.”

Jackson went on to credit the accomplishment to the much maligned offensive line, saying that not only did they show a full understanding of their blocking assignments, but they also ran the correct play when the ball was snapped.

Acording to referee John Parry, the first down also caught members of the officiating crew off guard. Parry said than when Bush moved the chains, his instinct was to throw an unsportsman like conduct flag for taunting.

“Michael just got up off the ground and handed me the ball without trying to provoke anyone,” Parry said. “Usually you’ll find the Oakland guys are jumping back on the pile trying to jam a finger into someone’s eye or just kicking wildly with their cleats.”

“At first I thought we definitely missed something,” Parry added. “But we reviewed the play and the league didn’t find anything illegal. They got a first down fair and square.”
The Raiders lost the game 44-7.

  28. raidrhadr says:

baylinorcrush: Funny stuff. The only thing is, I like when the raiders and the Broncos are both doing well. It makes for the old rivalry that we love to hate. I still love to hate the raiders but when they are this bad it’s not as much fun.

COOP! Great stuff. I think the best…not great…but the best QB the bears had in the modern era was actually Jim Harbaugh. Other than that I’d have to say it was HOF’er Sid Luckman. I haven’t broke down the ravens completely but they are coming off a bye week and a 3 game slide. They started off strong but I think once teams had some film to watch they became predictable. Lots of talent in thier backfield ala Flacco, McGahee and Rice. Reed, Suggs, Lewis and Ngata are forces on thier D. Look for former Broncos T. Pryce and D. Foxworth. I think Denver wins this one in a typical Broncos-Ravens battle……Let’s go 7-0!!!

    Broncos 17
    Ravens 13

I have a question for everyone. In which order…if at all…do you sign the following players to long term contracts?

patientbronco, Rick Upchurch and well said on the common thread and what you see.

denpowerhouse, I agree with a W in the win column… the steelers are picking it back up and I hate to look ahead…bad Karma…I stopped.

broncosfreak30, we are too, but they remind me of the physical teams we played and you could count on a fist-fight or three…but that’s what keeps us coming back.

I was at a fund raiser for Military Families Saturday night at the Marriott with a number of our Bronco Alumni supporting the event in the Dnver Tech Center, and a young army attendee who I struck up a conversation with asked me a really interesting question. He asked, “what one thing out of everything, do you think you learned from football?” My answer………dicipline.

Want the definition of a Hero. Our Military….period.

O.K. who going to give us the Ravens rundown this week?? and predictions. I made mine and so did denpowerhouse.

Coop, I keep track of predictions all week every week and give the results after each game, predictions are being posted on current logs now, I only take point predictions and celebrate the closest to score, closest to the spread, and ream the guys who were way off (in afriendly way, ahahahah). Just win or lose won’t get you in though, we need real sores, I’ll check back here to see if you’re not scared (and allowed too) and post one! LOL.

well well how the Orton tied has turned been behind my boy all the way and will remain that way slow and steady wins the west not show boat-in and talkin smack if it did JC would have had a ring by now ! and really after the pathetic years we have had a trip to the playoffs works get Baily and B-doc in the playoffs together and see the true meaning of passion wins football games nuf said ? As for the Ravens lets see my prediction is we give up 10 early and the D shuts there o from there our offence will play steady ball control and refuse to turn the ball over and come through big when the game is on the line! FEAL A THEME BULDING !! SLOW STEADY PROTECT THE BALL !!!! isn’t that what we were taught in pee wee football? basic football it ain’t flashy but it wins games ! and haters say what you will but whining rules!!

almost forgot constiancy wins division titles and D-wins championships i love this team and like our chances 5 wins seals the deal KC+2 raiders+1 only need 2 more from there all the talk and stats u can have um playoffs matter not yack accuray or any of that in the end do what you need to do and win and the rest would be nice and is but the W IS WHAT MATTERS MOST and that we can do that as good if not better than any team in the league!

    Anyone out there.
Orton has done a good job this year. He has exceeded most peoples expectations. Now everyone is already wondering if he’s 2010 start quality. Let me trow this out there. Look at the change in his throwing mechanics since pre-season. Improvements have been made. He doesn’t throw the same. He got rid of that long wind up and he gets the ball out faster. Here’s hoping he can make a few more improvements.
    1) Against the Eagle’s I think I saw him hit receivers twice that weren’t the primary. That will have to improve next. Super Bowl quarterbacks seem to have a knack for finding guys that that weren’t at the front end of the agenda. 2)And I know that some QB’s are born with the ability to scramble (Kyle wasn’t born that way) but with time he will be more comfortable when he has to move. Really!!! Orton is still young. He could still develope into something special.
