I have to agree with Coop, I envision DJ better in the 4-3 as the weakside LB, maybe middle but got a feeling he should have better impact weakside!
Haggan is a hard worker and I believe he puts everything he has in every down, would like him to stay. Hunter, Mays and Woodyard are no more than decent in my book(and I am being nice there), they do not provide any impact on the field. We need playmakers there, I have been sayin' we MUST focus on filling the LB position on 2nd and 3rd(maybe 4th) round instead of picking a DE, specially with our 2nd overall.
I feel confident in Ayers improving, so get some LB's better please!!!
From an eventual FA I wish we consider the names of RB Deangelo Williams as well as S Eric Weddle from S.D!
Also heard this guys from the raiders are going to be F.A, I like most of them: RB Bush, CB Routt, FS Huff, TE Miller and of course Nmandi! Somebody is in trouble....!!! I would pick any of those guys, maybe pass on Routt because Bailey's back but consider him a solid CB...
They spent a lot of money on Seymour and are not likely be able to sing all of their FA, besides that, they don't have a 1st round pick!

we do not need loss anymore players especially not D.J he made a mistake. He still is a great player and we can play a 4-3 n we are built for it. let elvis stay at lb. put him on the end only on 3rd down let ayers play end and we draft daequan bowers are nick fairley and we find. we need to pick up jermey shockey he has just been release by the Saints. 41recs 408yard we need tighten help as soon as possible

COOP!
I like the 4-3 move mainly because The Broncos really don't have that "true NT" for the 3-4, ya really gotta have that guy that commands enough respect for a double team every down and can take on a double team every down. Those guy's are just too rare, and expensive.

I'm really Happy to hear Champ WANTS to be a Bronco and will be.

I like shifting both lines, but we all saw what the Pittsburg Oline did to the Jets' ya just can't argue with that kinda dominance no matter how shifty you get. I like the Dline shift againts the right Oline and in the right situations.

Now if the Union Leaders and Owners can get together and hash out a CBA things will get back to normal and we can look forward to The Draft and next season. Come on Men let's get this Done!

TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !

GO BRONCOS ! ! !

You have to keep DJ because he only gets better in a 4-3 and like many of you said and I agree, I think Doom on the outside eye to shoulder of a tackle, (if he's healed up) will make him dominant.

Ayers plays where he was probably most comfortable but that may take another year or transition at this level?? Not sure there.

The 4-3 helps the LB's as they are now more of a true second level and the OL has to double at places and move the first level to the second or scoop block their way there and it's tough on OL's to get there depending on their scheme.

We all want Bailey signed so I'd be as surprised as you if that doesn't happen.

Not to change subject because I don't watch a ton of hoops or consider myself a NBA guy whatsoever, so bear with me, but the Mello trade (I thought it was rediculous).

I'm a homer for Denver teams but that one doesn't sit well with me... I understand his reasoning and find it tough to argue, but who did we get?? I don't know a thing about any of them........sorry I got off track.

Anyway, something I'll be REAL curious to see is if they shift in the 4-3 to keep OL's off guard kind of like you saw the Jets do with a TON of success last year here at home and in the Playoffs. Any thoughts on that?? The reason I ask, is you all stay on top of the game and curious what you think often.

How about this scenario....we go after Atogwe and Asomugha and draft one of the stud DT or DE's with our 2 pick, then get a couple LB's with our round 2 picks. Or maybe we just go after Atogwe and draft Peterson....or maybe go after Asomugha and draft a DE or DT then go after a Safety and LB in the 2nd round.

This is a defense who 2 years ago was 7th in the league and then we get rid of our defensive coordinator and lose our best playmaker in dumervil. I dont believe we need to completely redo our defense, we need a better defensive front and a running game thats gonna keep us off the field. Last year we ranked at the bottom in both and until we can fix problems with them both they will both be affected.

As for DJ Williams, the guy is a football player he has slipped the past few seasons but with no real pressure from the dline and linemen up on the backers how could any of our linebackers have a good year?

I think with the new 4-3 system we grab a stud at DT if bailey is signed if not we go Peterson and draft a player who can improve the team in more then 1 situation. Cox may have progressed through the season but he had so many awful plays this year and to me was a huge fault of the horrible secondary that was stricken with injuries all season.

Strand...

Also keep Hunter...dude is a beast and did a good job at getting to the QB. I really think with moving Doom and Ayers to DE that our LB's will automatically get better. I think we will take one in the draft but they will improve when our defensive line can get to the QB.

Thanks bay. As always, so are you. I always enjoy reading your posts and especially the CBA posts most recently. You have great insight as to what goes in the Broncos World & the NFL.
You make a great point about our LB's vs. some of the more successful Teams. It's probably more wishful thinking on my part to see some our LB's still have a shot with us such as Haggan & Mays.
It's crazy how a few years ago, we were all hoping McD would get us a premier player on D, and we basically got zilsh....sheesh! We passed on Orakpo, Laurinaitis, Cushing, Matthews, & Maualuga. (Could've traded up for Raji). Some sort of impact player on D!
I appreciate your efforts in keeping me in the loop with your informative posts bay!
