I am not sure if anyone pointed this out, but the Broncos did not win their last Week 1 Monday Night Football home game--which occurred in 1999 against Miami. Denver lost 38-21 to the Dan Marino-led Dolphins. It was the first game for the Broncos following John Elway's offseason retirement. Brian Griese made his first career start in the game.

@ Bay ~ Roger that, I may have to do a bit more reading and school up on his articles.

It's interesting that as much as I firmly believe that the QB interviews are smokescreens, I am getting a little concerned over these interviews with, what would be deemed players of low priority.

COM'ON THE DRAFT!

Bay,

I've actually cooled some on Bowers (still like him), but I think there are some other better players available. Plus I think the D-line is a hard position to draft and that there are always misses with ealry draft players at D-line. Believe it or not I'm thinking Patrick Peterson currently, because he would be a HIT at CB, Saftely, and/or Special Teams!

Anyway, I reserve the right to change my mind again inthe future and future changes are subject to change without notice!!! LOL - LMOA

It's great this year because a lot of teams think that Newton or Gabbert are going to be the next big thing at QB in the NFL, and maybe they will be. But as far as potential goes, they have nothing in potential compared to when all the big name QB's were in. Bradford last year was worth the #1 pick. Gabbert I think could be worth a 5th overall pick and Newton maybe 20-27th pick. I would be very scared with Newton just like with Dareus because Newton and Dareus both do not really have all that much experience in them from college. In the NFL, it only gets harder and the schemes are very different than how they are in college!!

Looking at the draft point chart, I would also love trading with the 49ers if they want to move up and take a QB! Most likely Peterson will be there at #7 and we could get their 2nd and 3rd round pick!!

Adding picks in the second and third round is huge this year!

Trade with Arizona or 49ers!

CarnageBronc, good to see you back, same prediction as last year I see, 6-10, which gave you the season record guessing champion title. As far as entering for this season, we'll start taking those during the two weeks preceeding the start of the regular season, so plenty of time there, but for now why don't you enter the draft contest:

DRAFT CONTEST RULES:

The draft contest is now open and CONTEST ENTRIES will be taken until April 28th at 4pm Mtn time.

For bloggers wishing to enter, we need the name of the first four players the Broncos will pick in this draft and the order in which they will be picked , #2, #36, #46 and #67 picks as of now, and if you expect pick trades to be made, simply enter the first four players you think the Broncos will pick at whatever picks you figure they will have (example: #5, #29, #39 and #46 picks).

IMPORTANT:

YOU MUST SAY “CONTEST ENTRY” when posting your picks TO BE OFFICIALLY ENTERED IN THE CONTEST.

ONLY ONE ENTRY PER BLOGGER, so if in doubt wait until the 28th deadline to post. NO EXCEPTIONS, too much re-work for me.

AND NO MULTIPLE CHOICES FOR EACH PICK!

Highest number of correct players picked will win with the tie breaker being at what # those players were picked.

No prizes of any kind, just PRIDE, the biggest prize of all!

This contest is not affiliated with the Bronco organization, just an in house blogger creation.

I will do a re-post of this on every blog so everybody has a chance to be clear on all of it.

Good luck to everyone who participates!
