I’m glad we finally signed Doom. The guy has class, he deserves it. The last person to get that kind of contract from the Broncos was Champ Bailey. I wonder what kind of deal it will take to keep Champ around?

Doom has way more class than fat Albert,and like Baylin said Doom has already earned his money,but don’t look for him to be slowing down anytime soon.

Cdudbronc24: If you’re worried that Dumervil will pull the same kind of antics that Haynesworth is pulling don’t worry too much about that. It is obvious that Dumervil’s character is much higher than that.

Everything in this league is relative. Was it too much guaranteed, not if he contineus to be the league sack leader and performs at a high level. Now if he happens to start underachieving, which I doubt he will, well then yes it would be too much. Dumvervil was playing virtually for pennies finishing out his rookie contract so I doubt that this extension will affect him negatively. Now I could be wrong but I don’t think so.

I don’t know if you were thinking along those lines Cdudbronc24 or if I am way off.

Now that I’m adressing Cdudbronc24 (about too much guaranteed money for Doom), what was that reference to Tebow having a stronger arm than Elway and then type1 diabetes!?!?! I know it was a joke about how Cutler handled himself but to think that Tebow is anywhere close to Cutler character wise is an insult, not to mention the diabetes thing, it’s a disease man… Just had to get that off my chest.

And for the ones who think Doom got too much in guaranteed money, that’s because he played out his entire rookie contract at a basement bargain price, he was owwed that guaranteed money as far as I’m concerned. Even if he goes out on injuries he has already produced and needed to be paid adequately for it, at least that’s the negotiation card I would of played had I been Doom’s agent.
