Congratulations to Dan DeRose. He and his brother Mike are both class acts.
The Crusaders, like the DeRose brothers, were a team that played over their heads and worked as a team. Their QB, John Wristen is the HC at CSU-Pueblo and is another who has made a great name for himself and returned home to give back to his community.
Dan deserves the honor for all his work and caring.

I enjoyed the write up on Dan DeRose and I must say when I came to the word “philanthropic” I had to Google it. I would say you have some things in common with Dan. I graduated in 1977 from Pomona in Arvada. That’s 33 years ago, and I want to thank you for your wisdom and history of the Denver Broncos for 33 years! I will always enjoy what ever you write!! Number one Sacco.

In 1990, “Sacco,” as he is affectionately called, was honored as the first recipient of the prestigious Pro Football Writers of America Pete Rozelle Award, named for the late NFL commissioner and given annually to the NFL’s outstanding public relations staff.

You my friend are much more then a “good read” Keep it coming!
