Good story on the week of Father's Day. Kids definitely are a reminder that there is more to things than just money, funny thing though is it takes a ton of money to rear them up to maturity. Good luck with everything broncfalls, you seem as if you have your hands full.

BFE & 1nOnlyTRB,

Thank you for your warm wishes! It's so funny and this might sound a little corny but I'll share with you a quick story about my 7 year old Jadyn.

With the addition of our new little girl my wife and I are truely trying to take a pro active approach with keeping the "special time" with our 2 children. We certainly don't want them to feel they just got their noses cut short you know? So each of us try to do things that they enjoy while the little one is sleeping.

So last night, out here in the middle of no where in Illinois, I decided to take my son Jadyn on our weekly truck ride. It usually entails taking a 5 minute trip into town, grab some ice cream and head out to some country road where no one would ever think about living. Turn on the country music and once I am completely lost, I'll pull over, let Jadyn climb across to sit on my lap and let him drive the truck. This usually goes 15 to 20 miles or so at an average of 15 to 20 mph. :)

Well last night my wife was reading books with my 4 year old daughter so I say to Jadyn "What da say bud, wanna drive the truck? grab your flip flops and be quiet so your sister doesn't hear ya!" I gave a wink to my wife so she would know what was up and out the door we went. He climbs into his booster seat and I get ready to pull away and I look over at him and he looks a little dissapointed. I say to him "What's up bud? what's wrong?"

He replies..."Nothing dad, I just thought you could get your blue denver hat so we would match like buddies"

Needless to say I put the truck in park and grab the "right" denver hat!

:) There's is something so priceless about a 7 year old wearing his hat to his favorite football team backwards looking forward to a late night truck ride and ice cream.

On a side note. We spend so much time talking about contracts, bonuses and the dollar signs that make an organization run. Often times, we as fans (myself included) tend to become angry when what seems to be a logical decision becomes clouded with greed and selfishness. Last night, a 7 year old showed me that sometimes a hat and an ice cream cone can make even the die hardest of fan realize it's just a game!

Thanks bud!

GO GET EM' BOYS!

Holy Crap!

Hey guys/gals....forgot to tell you all. It's been a little bit of time since I have been on.

My wife Amy, 7 year old son Jadyn and 4 year old daughter Olivia, welcomed home our new little girl on 6/6/2010. Hadley Grace.

Here's one of the best things about it! My mom who is amazing with a needle and thred, made her a thin blanket for baths. It was Bronco material and to add that little "girly" flare, she put lace around the outside! LOL! Way to go mom!

take care guys!

Yeah TRB, everything ultimately comes down to money, and at this time of the year, with 5 weeks between mini camp and training camp, unfortunately all there is to talk about now is just that as this is when nearly all the rookie signings take place. Just clarifying that fact in case bloggers are getting tired of hearing about money, LOL. That being said, it has been a growing concern of mine for the past two or three years, as Klis referred to, that we have been pretty stingy about money. The Kuper signing by the way didn't exactly break the bank or qualifies us as big spenders and about the 2 firts round picks, the only reason it got done that way is becasue they are two LATE first round picks, I would imagine they will spend about the same or even less money on both #24 and 27 picks than they would of on #11 pick alone had they kept it. Anyhow, as you say we will have to wait to see how effective is the new way of handling business in the Broncos organization. Something is different nowadays, I can smell it in the air, hopefully the team can gel regardless of how few stars we keep and how many we release, whether it's for character issues or money issues or both, at least that's what Bowlen, Ellis, Xanders and McD are all hoping for. Of course we fans are hoping for the same, big difference is they choose how to go at it, we just sit and pray they know what they are doing.... at least we can't get fired if the master plan fails, LOL.

Baylin

It always comes down to money. Im sure u know this better than anyone. Interestingly enough, they say the only way to make money is to spend money. While the Bronco fan base is as loyal as it comes, I assume this means fan spending isn't where it used to be or maybe bowlen just wants to be more in the black. Who knows. Its a reccession. But if money is the problem, which is why we can't pay and retain stars, not a "principle" or "character" thing. Then yea, we have issues. Bowlen wants to win, but win on a low budget and like u said, thats what McD is hear for. Altho if thats the case, 2 first round picks wasn't wise. Either way, It will be interesting to see how things play out. We are fans, we have minimal control but we can however hope for the best. Go Broncos 2010. TRB out.
