During the 2011 season, the Broncos won the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week five times.
The first four wins were for the team’s comeback, overtime win at San Diego in Week 12, game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter against the Jets in Week 11, hard-fought victory at Kansas City in Week 10 and overtime win at Miami in Week 7.
But it was the club’s fifth and final win of the season that is now up for the Never Say Never Moment of the Year.
Trailing the Chicago Bears 10-0 late in the fourth quarter, the Broncos completed one of the most memorable come-from-behind, overtime wins of the year.
It all began when Tim Tebow found Demaryius Thomas for a 10-yard touchdown. After the Bears recovered the ensuing onside kick, the defense forced a three-and-out, and the offense had another chance.
Matt Prater kicked a 59-yard field goal to send the game to overtime, and after the defense forced a fumble, the Broncos drove down the field for the game-winning 51-yarder by Prater.
Voting is now open for the moment of the year.
The Broncos’ Week 15 comeback is up against Green Bay’s Clay Matthews’ game-sealing goal-line stop against the New Orleans Saints, Tony Romo leading a Cowboys overtime victory against the Jets, Jason Campbell honoring late owner Al Davis with a Raiders win and Joe Flacco completing a season sweep of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I was thinking like night that not only did the 80 yd DMT TD in OT reminded me of the 80 yd Rod Smith TD in the 98 SB, but it reminded me of something else and I couldn’t quite put a finger on it, and then bingo, it all came back:
In 2007 Brett Favre threw an 82-yard TD pass to Jennings on the very first play of overtime to beat Broncos in Denver on Oct. 29.
It was even two yards longer.
But ours was in the playoffs, so it was bigger, but still that Favre play was haunting me.
I was thinking last night…
It’s interesting that each time Tebow wins a playoff game this year, Bowlen has to pay him an extra quarter million dollars as per his contract. I’d be willing to bet when Bowlen signed it he never thought that would happen, haha. Another brilliant move by Xanders, LOL.
I thought that DMT was a lot more articulate in his broncos cam interveiw yesterday than the one previously. He’s still by far from a media darling, but he spoke much better. He just seems like a really shy, polite kid.
I think this game rests on the shoulders of Mike McCoy’s play calling.. Of course the players have to execute, but having a good game plan, and being able to adapt the play calling to what the D shows us will be the deference..
For example, I truly believe that we came out plain vanilla vs the the Steelers on purpose, setting up the pass in the second.. That cat is out of the bag, so we need to add something fresh.. It will be a bit of a poker game IMO..
Of course we need to play lights out on D, but we’re going to have to go blow for blow with their O.. We also need to keep their D on the field and our D off of it as much as possible..
Checking out some bloggers on the Boston Herald and not every Pats fan is totally sold out on their team, no different than on our blog:
Belichek why oh why.if you win the coin toss do you defer to the other team&start on defense.are you insane?!w/ this no-name unit?you’ve got the first or second best offense in football.wouldn’t it be smarter mr. genius to be up 7-0 then playing catch up?but then again,it mirrors they’re crappy drafting philosophy of going for totally mediocre talent, instead of stars.which is why i still have doubts about this team.better be ready for denver.as a fan i’m tired of all the lame excuses.you should have twice as many super bowls but when you trade down&out for next year as tom brady gets older(he deserves better/so don’t the fans!)every friggin’ year.it adds up to one&done!
He’s got a point, LOL.
Last but not least:
Dirty Tebow = a Broncos win
Clean Tebow = a Broncos loss
But you have to say there is kind of a loyalty within the Patriots organization that I admire, one that I hope we can regain here with our latetst success.
Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio was asked today about casting aside the overtures Indianapolis reportedly made with respect to their vacant GM post. Why did he reject the Colts and decide to remain with the Patriots?
”I’ve got a great job here in New England. I’ve got a great staff. I’m priviledged to work for the head coach I do,” Caserio said during a conference call. ”Today is no different than it was any other day. I enjoy being here. Right now the focus is on getting ready for the Denver Broncos. That’s where we’re at.”
Hopefully McCoy and Allen can learn from that…
corithians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Psalm 3:6 I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side
Psalm 27:3 Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
Proverbs 3:5-65Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Faith can move mountains it is written:Just believe, even when all you have left is a Prayer,Its Then Miracles Happen.
That’s too funny!
Could Caserio be moderated on the Bronco blog?
Because I see absolutely nothing else on this post that should be moderated….
truecolor: do you actually ever have anything to say about our broncos or football in general? I come on here to talk broncos………not have a bible lesson. To each their own, and I’m not dissing your faith by any means………but this is a broncos blog and I’d like to keep it that way.
Yea … us on the other hand should always defer … our D is capable …plus we are usually down come 2nd half so we need the ball. Thats why I was glad Steelers got the ball first (not sure who won the toss and chose) but I loved that. But then again maybe thats just cuz thats how I play madden … I alwasy defer just incase im down in the game I can count on the ball back.
DMT is very inarticulate … truly believe he shoulda stayed in college longer or something. Compare how he speaks to how Decker speaks … same year pretty much the same age, different backgrounds granted but its pretty bad. He was alot better on his most recent interview … maybe it just takes practice.
TRB
Caserio is maybe moderated because of his McD affiliation, haha, or to the videotaping mess, LMAO!
Or was it the message I sent to McCoy and Allen?
Love is the Perfect Chemistry,it welcomes all into the group to join Him,and those that live in Love Live in God and God in them for God is Love ,it is written.1 Corithians 13: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.
I’ll never know….
Just ignore Truecolor if it bothers u. His post are the exact same thing … sorta like Olaps “Go Redskins” … he is just trolling. Is what it is.
TRB
spoke too soon … he just created a unique post .. interesting.
Jesus taught character not Organized religion, aka Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of
God.Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be
satisfied.,dont murder, dont steal ,dont covet thy neihbors wife, love your neihbor do unto others as you want them to do unto you, dont gossip ,slander, mock, accuse. etc etc Jesus didnt start a cult he taught us what it means to be human, and that he took the punishiment we all deserved for our sins ,which HURT many other people, crimes that go unpunished are typically handed out by corrupt judges and God isnt corrupt,Jesus took the wrath for us by his stripes we are healed and this is Good News that he love dus this much to die for us .if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness, but he also warns those who wont repent of there evil ways they will perish, just as no society would except people who continue in sin aka O J Simpson for example.
Morning all. I finally got caught up on reading the blogs. WOW so much optimism I like it. Better for my nerves as Daddy would say LOL.
You are clearly a sad representation of your faith, thinking you are helping your cause when you are rather hindering it, what an immature person you are, pick a better platform for your personal religious views, folks of all walks of religion and non religion come on here to enjoy their Broncos, there is absolutely zero reason for throwing your beliefs through the word of God in everybody’s face on this type of platform, you could stand to learn a lot about how to go about it from bloggers like daddybronc.
Appreciate all kind words ,Thanks
GBU all bye
Hello Broncos Country! I’m still on cloud nine. Haven’t had time to blog much since the game. Had to fly back yesterday morning at the crack of dawn to go to work. Had things I couldn’t miss going on. Been reading some of the posts and wish I had time to weigh in! Too bad I didn’t roll with my kool aide prediction for that game! I think I would have placed!
Talk about a blog killer, LOL.
3rd Gen, agreed, this was one instance where going with the heart paid off way better than going with the brain.
And he is a judge of man to top it all, basically condemning OJ Simpson, not that it’s not deserved but isn’t the first belief of a true Christian that one shall not judge? Just saying.
And I should know, my wife is a devote Christian and avid Bible reader…
Tonight is going to be a whole bunch of haters hating on a few of us Bronco Believers. Steealer fans galore in our bowling league. I will be showing up in my jersey over my orange coveralls and the Bronco hat.
As far as what needs to happen against NE, run it down their throat. They’re now scared crapless that we have a passing game. They’re going to double cover DT and leave it man D against Fells and Royal. a quick slant down the middle, or even some play action pass to the RB would destroy them. All in all, we need to keep the ball out of gronkowski and hernandez’s hands, the short passes will rip us apart. this time Tebow needs to bring a Tommy Gun and pull the trigger, instead of his little 22 Rifle he brought against the Black and Gold.
New blog btw
Tebow provokes the good, bad, and ugly. He brings out the radical in people. Funny thing is, IMO, he doesn’t preach to people. He’s just consistentenly positive and incorporates faith into his message. Others then feel justified in preaching and pushing their views on others. With that said, this is a football blog! and the first and last time I’ll speak to the faith side of Tebow on here.
Where do i follow this new blog to? I may not be able to due to netowrk restrictions at work. Good Ole DOD …… Go USAF!!
true don’t let them get you down, enjoy your blogs. as they say opinions are like a** holes, everyone’s got one. keep writing whatever you want on this blog, you have just as much right to do so as whats his name. (bay?) no one person owns this page so write till your hearts content. whats that saying? fools despise wisdom.
Write whatever you want and people will think whatever they want of it, works both ways.
hay Bay what do you make of mcD back in Foxburough ? Is this just Belichick playing games in the post season or what? What the heck happened to the OC that worked so well all season? I think they are scared and He(Belichick) just got a sniff on the wind of some Hungry Broncos who have to Eat!
He was hired as the new Penn State HC.
This McD re-hire only makes sense for Belichick, but the timing of it stinks.
