Early this week, Von Miller lent his support to The Kempe Foundation for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect.
The 2011 Defensive Rookie of the Year shot a public service announcement, which will air on 9News KUSA-TV, the theme of which was being a superhero for an abused or neglected child.
Miller donned a cape and mask to show that, as The Kempe Foundation says, you don’t need superhuman powers to help children. Children simply need adults to believe in them and support them, and Kempe’s ongoing superhero campaign — made possible by the support of US Bank — demonstrates that ordinary people can do extraordinary things to help children.
On Twitter, The Kempe Foundation thanked Miller for being a superhero for abused children.
“Thanks for the opportunity!” he wrote back.

sirucek8 I completely agree. Reyes is very athletic and I honestly believe if he went to a bigger football program he would be a solid top 20 pick.
Strange night. BFE and I actually getting along and agreeing. LOL
Well i am out too. Peace out Broncos Country!!!
ILMSDB!!!!!!!!!!
Glad I joined the blogs gentlemen… learn a lot from you guys.
FLBroncoGator – yet again, you prove just how little class you have.. I did not insult Tebow at all in my comment yesterday, I was just defending one of my beloved Broncos, as I’m a die hard and loyal fan to my team, something you obviously know nothing about.. I was merely trying to ensure that DT received some positive feedback via twitter, to balance out the hate mail he is no doubt receiving from fans like yourself..
As far as intelligence goes, people who boast about being smart, are anything but, and are simply over compensating for other insecurities they have, which you seem to have quite a few…
DT has had a tough start to his NFL career, having suffered a few injuries already, yet he showed his resolve by working hard to rehab and get himself back on the field to contribute to the team, which should be commended. He is also still growing into his large frame, and between that and beginning to trust his body fully again after said injuries, he may have been a bit clumsy at times, but to say he has “butter fingers” is not fair. If that were the case, how do you explain Decker dropping passes from Tebow, when he had one of the best catch rates in college that I have ever seen? Or how do you explain that ALL of our WR’s, not just a few, had a hard time catching Tebow’s throws when Orton had his best year in passing yards with minimal drop passes just one season before with the same WR’s? Even Royal and Lloyd had drops under Tebow, and Lloyd wanted out immediately.. The one constant in the equation is Tebow..
Fox is a very respected NFL coach, who has learned from some of the great minds to ever coach the game, and brings a lot to the table. For you to look only at his record shows just how shallow your thought process really is.. Are you aware that before the Broncos, Fox spent his entire HC career with the Panthers? A team with very cheap ownership, who simply refused to spend money, and letting Peppers walk is just one recent example.. Can you name one free agent that the Panthers signed when Fox was there? To have a .500 record with that team is a MAJOR accomplishment..
Elway graduated from Stanford (which, if you were half as smart as you claim, you would know that’s one of the nations top academic schools) with a degree in Economics.. He is not some dumb jock who majored in basket weaving and didn’t graduate. He never sold used cars, he owned several dealerships, as investments, which also included restaurants as well as other business ventures.. He was never on the floor selling cars, and for you to suggest such shows just how little validity all of your other statements have.. He also led an arena football club to a championship, and your allegations that he is a drunk are so silly, and not worthy of a response..
I never followed Tebow before we drafted him, but I supported him the entire time he was on the team, and even made excuses for his short comings, with the hope that he could someday overcome them. I defended Tebow to others who were very critical of him, and I even originally wanted us to keep him to back up Manning, but quickly realized that would not be possible with people like you putting up billboards all over Denver.. I have nothing against Tebow, and consider myself Tebow neutral, but it’s fans like you who push me (and others) away and make it difficult to root for him and almost even begin to resent him.. Your failure to recognize how your actions undermine your entire mission statement shows just how unintelligent you really are, and I can’t imagine you being very successful in your professional or personal life employing similar tactics…
Oh yeah, I live in NY, and trust me, there are plenty of dumb people here, which further illustrates just how opinionated your statements are.. The media here is already very critical of the move, and while the NY fans might be passionate, they are also VERY unforgiving and tough on their sports teams.. You may have chatted with a few hopeful fans online, who were probably 12 years old, but rest assured that the Jets fans will turn on Tebow so quick and spew venom at the first signs of distress.. NY will not support Tebow through the tough times like the fans in Denver did, but I guess you’re too thick headed to realize that, and you’ll have to find out for yourself.. Good luck, and good riddance……
2 words tsunami…. A. MEN.

That’s alot of scratch to say hello…
doesnt suprise me. great kid with a great head on his shoulders. as far as quality of person, it doesnt get much better than tim tebow. he will do great things in his life, and may even be a great historical figure in time. qb, though, will not be one of his great achievements.

That would be a little confusing… I wonder if this guy ever gets stuff for free when business owners ask… “the Robert Griffin from Baylor?!?!” and he say “Yep…”

This ones for you AB… Kirkpatrick keeps getting closer and CLOSER!!!
If kirkpatrick is there at 25 than I would snag him up and take a DT in the second round even though CB isnt as big of a need now that we signed Porter. Plus Sidquan Thompson should be back and Harris solidified his place in the slot.
How bout this Royalt… Draft KP, that way if Porter leaves next season we have a young go to guy… and we all know Champ will finish his career at Safety ala Rod Woodson, Champ is the best tackler on our defense and with him at FS we have an Ace in the Hole when it comes to picking up TE’s down field…
Porter may or may not re-sign next season… I’d still take Hightower over Kirkpatrick if both are on the board, but those are the only two players that I think are worthy of the 25th pick…
I’d trade down and snag a DT or DE if I don’t get the guy I want at 25… Reyes, Chapman, Ta’amu are all solid second round DT’s guys, so if we can trade down and pick up an extra second this year and an extra second next year I’d probably consider… but not trading lower than 40 regardless of the offer…
I’m hoping for Hightower…. HOPING FOR HIGHTOWER!!!!
(hope is a horrible strategy FYI)
OT massacring little men I thought FBG was warned not to return!
Taking a chance with Burfict
Take a look at ESPN’s ranking of the top inside linebackers available in April’s draft. At No. 6 is Arizona State’s Vontaze Burfict, a three-year starter in a BCS conference with 29.5 total career tackles for loss. A look at Burfict’s draft profile shows that he has the highest possible grade in production, height/weight/speed, and durability. However, he has the lowest possible grade in intangibles, showing that while Burfict is a uniquely gifted athlete, he’s also a headcase who may go undrafted entirely due to attitude problems.
John Walters of The Daily explains that Burfict accumulated a whopping 17 personal foul calls in his Arizona State career. “You don’t even have to say anything to Tez, just walk up to him and bump him after a play,” said Shelly Lyons, a teammate of Burfict’s at Arizone State and Centennial High School in Corona, Calif. “He will retaliate.”
Burfict was benched in ASU’s regular season finale against California after committing two personal fouls on one third-quarter drive. He did not play again until the second half of the Las Vegas Bowl, even as the Sun Devils trailed Boise State 28-3 at halftime.
Then came the scouting combine, when Burfict posted the worst 40-yard dash and broad jump (and second-worst vertical leap) in his position group.
It had been rumored that the Cleveland Browns were looking at Burfict, but Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer says the team has “zero interest.”
I want to get a new Nike Elite Jersey. In your opinion who is the “safest” player to buy? I’m thinking Miller…3 years left on his contract with an option to extend to 4 years. No behavior issues (that we know of) that might get him traded.
Or…do I buy a custom and put Elway, Sharpe, Atwater, or some other retired player on it….
3rd soon they will have alum jerseys but the safestis definitly champ he will retire a Bronco
Did they remove the comment by FLGatorB? I can’t find it, and I want to read it after reading OT’s response!
Mix it up get a Clady jersey.
OT, I don’t think people are bashing Thomas as much for criticizing Tebow’s throwing as they are for his horrible drops last year. How many passes did he drop that hit him dead in the hands and/or numbers? If he could actually catch, I have no doubt that Tebow would’ve thrown the ball to him more often. He’s a butterfingers and therefore has no business at all bitching about not getting the ball enough. If he plays the same way this year, he’ll be out of a job in a hurry.
repost
You were scaring me there for a second LAX, the I read “repost” hahaha
LOL SW your crazy currently
maybe…but just currently? haha
12 hour span
I keep saying it … Burfict in the mid rounds … take a flier on the kid … after all we got 2 4th round picks.
Dre Kirkpatrick has been the consensus, question was if he would fall to 25. Now Stephon Gilmore is gaining traction and is actually rated higher now. So would the broncos be interested in Gilcome. Sure he isn’t 6’3 but he is 6’0 190 and almost every bit as physical as kirkpatrick … he also had better production. Can’t wait for the draft. Like some folks say tho … CB isn’t as Dire a need as it once was but I would be happy to get him on board. Lotta teams intereted in CB … most notably the Lions want a big physical CB and they pick like 2 spots before us so we will see what they leave us with.
PS: Champ from what I heard has no desire to play safety … we shall see how this goes.
TRB, long time, I haven`t seen ya in awhile. Its almost here dude, I`m so pumped.
I just bought a grey #18 Peyton Manning T-shirt (Team Apparel) about an hour ago. I`m gearing up gor the OTA`s. LOL
BT I saw that the Bengals signed Newman. But the Lions Bears and Titans all have a major need for a CB. Bengals still have a need for CB cause they have a lot of age and Hall is the only solid starter for them. I have said this before and will say it again I would LOVE for us to get Kirkpatrick I just dont see him being there.
From what i have read there are no teams showing interest in Burfict which gives us a good chance to pick him up in the 6th.
I still want OG Miller in the 5th. Hes going to be a great offensive linemen IMO
i hate to hear that, trb. champ would have a great finish to his career at safety i would think. just like woodson in green bay. gotta have a d coordinator that uses him right tho. but if he doesnt wanna do it cant make him. of course if its that or the bench….
yea man .. between the lack of news and work picking up just been slipping my mind to hop on.
Looking forward to the draft. I can remember PP V Dareus like it was yesterday lol
TRB
burflict in the 6th maybe, but no sooner. hes most likely gonna go the way of maurice clarett. heck he may be available in the 7th or free agency if it keeps going bad for him like its been.
I would much rather pick Travis Lewis(LB out of Oklahoma) in the 4th over Burfict. I am a Sooner fan and have never heard of any charicter issues with the guy.
lbf, yea I just remember greatness saying the real reason champ was really bummed about dennis allen leaving was because allen promised to keep him at CB … thats where I get that Idea from. Wouldn’t shock me … Champ loves CB so much and IMO for what he has done for us he should have the right to choose but we know thats not how the NFL works … if its S or the bench … there ya go.
TRB
royakt19 I like Lewis over Burfict also. But Burfict is a good late pickup wouldnt be wasting a good pick on him and hes a high reward player if he can get everything down.
New blog everyone
Lewis was a teammate of our very own Q. Carter at Oklahoma. I would love to see those two back on the same field. Heck we could also go after WR Ryan Broyles out of Oklahoma. He is college footballs all-time leader in receptions and would be a great replacement for Royal in the slot. Just my opinion but if you are doubting me then look him up on Youtube. He doesnt have speed like Royal did but the kid can get open.
Grand kids can ask the damned questions. My 10 year old grand daughter’s science class has been looking at groups of animals and she’s learned the correct name for some of them; e.g. pride of lions, murder of crows, etc. So she asked me a simpole question, what are a group of men called? I thought about this for a bit and then the perfect answer hit me, a group of men are called a drool.
royalt19 teams are worried about th ACL with Broyles. But he is the all time leader in receptions. Before his ACL he was the second best WR in the draft many thought.
But thats also a reason I want Cyrus Gray.Gray has been a teammate of Millers since like pee wee football.
We could use both of our 4s on the 2 Oklahoma players I have mentioned. To be honest I dont know who Gray is or even what position he plays.
Yeah, the debate was between PP vs Dareus. And then low and behold we draft Von Miller. That was an awesome pick, no doubt.
Cyrus Gray RB Texas A&M
Gray is a RB.
I have complete confidence that Broyles can come back from the ACL injury and be ready in time for camp. He is a high character guy and would make a go to guy for Manning when we are in the 2 minute offense. He always seems to get open and make plays. I would gladly spend a 4 on him.
What round is Gray projected to go in?
3-4
