scott2212,

I didn't make sense how? and what is your point? You actually proved our(D.J.55's) point that it made sense to secure a smart CB on the 3rd slot on the depth chart??? sure there are injuries but where's your point and logic to substantiate your claim???

guys and friends,

if i could please for a moment.....the rational is sort of like a chess game. Only one move at a time right, ...

Fact#1): The RB corps; are still "3 deep" at grade of a B+(RB's alone) and thats on a bad day, with a Total Offensive grade of A - on a good one(the rest of the league just doesn't know yet ;P) However, each RB with breakout "starlight careers" awaiting them. In other words, the Talent is strong still.

Fact#2): Sustaining "3 key" out of 5 losses in the defense each also combines for a grade of B ++ on its Best day in total Defense, (i say that with much love fellas.... in the locker room).

If I had to make "Shoring-up Moves" to offense and defense, then its not just tit-for-tat, if you will the expression. Rather, strategically gain 'experience' on one less headache to a banged up defense, whose total still comes to B+ (pending discipline, Studying, and Passion) Not to mention Hostility, Agility, and Mobility.... A Championship Formula for any team needing a "Dominating Defense" package.

And folks, the last time I checked and still undisputed, DEFENSE wins Championships..... Well a Key part of "Champ" is missing on our defense, do you see where I am going with this?

If I had one move,... like an officer....which move do I make?
Which Dept do I Shore Up First? Think hard because 1-2 more "unexpected situations" will be the difference to a mediocre what happened to expectations team. Or a team awaiting Its Destiny!!!

Who do You give to your Warriors who give their all for you?
How do you give them the tools needed to sustain your Campaign?
have yet to deal with at this stage in the process? ? ?

I'll take , A decent speed and veteran at CB to shore my barely solid secondary, first. That way, I hold my own at Defense, with and 'upside' to Seperating the Men from the Boys at the 3rd CB slot. (Lets face it, it's the 'kink in our armor' Peyton Manning wonderfully exploited) If we are honest with ourselves.

If I had to choose one move, then let "My Defense" sustain no worse, while we are still with the possibility of an AFC title run, and even history making season on the line....even with this nucleus and chemistry we Have currently.

Like Indiana Jones in 'Last Crusade'......Shanhan and Co...You have Chosen ......WISELY !!!!!!!!

we keep getting corner backs and its wasting time. we need to go find the best available linebacker out there considering we have poor depth and injuries in that position. i dont get these acqusitions we are making when we know they wont be playing over champ, dre, and dominique in the regular season

Well with Champ out and not playing any preseason game more than likely and Bly just rotating in nickle package, i can understand these two pick ups. Foxy, Williams and Paymah are pretty much playing the whole game and not really getting in breaks. Reid wasnt really anything special so we'll see what Dada has. Morton I thought played a good game but I have always been a fan of Poole and he was with the Patriots (who knows how to win). More expirence never hurt anyone.

Wow, I am scratching my head on this one, we will not carry that many CB, so why pick up a 13 yr vet at this point....none of our top five CB are going anywhere till possibly next year. We need to look at other areas for help.

I don't see him making the final 53; if he does it's a waste of a roster spot. As long as Woodyard makes the roster i'm not arsed really haha XD Depth at linebacker is needed, and he can provide it.

Stop with the DB signings!

yeah i'm not sure i understand this rationale, 2 CBs this week? i thought we our DB corps was the deepest we had. and it especially doesn't make sense with the recent injuries to the LBs and the low level of competition in the kicking game.

This makes sense, sustain two injuries to your linebacking corps...sign a cornerback! Gonna be a long season folks.
