Following the Seahawks’ third field goal with less than three minutes left in the half, quarterback Peyton Manning led the Broncos on a 13-play, 66-yard drive that ended with a Matt Prater field goal to regain the lead before halftime.
The drive began with four straight completions, the fourth being a 19-yarder to Eric Decker to the Seattle 39-yard line. Two plays later, Manning hit Brandon Stokley for 22 yards to the Seattle 17.
Once in the red zone, two passes fell through the hands of Eric Decker and Jacob Tamme, with Tamme’s drop coming on the goal line. After a delay-of-game penalty, Prater came on for a 32-yard field goal, which he converted, leaving two seconds on the clock.
The field goal gave the Broncos a 10-9 lead at halftime.
On the ensuing kickoff, Matthew Willis recovered a fumble, but time had expired and the players entered the locker rooms.
Manning finished the first half 16-of-23 for 177 yards with the two interceptions.
