Two Former Broncos Go Hollywood

March 7th, 2012 - 9:05am by Gray Caldwell

Twenty current and former NFL players are set to take part in the first-ever NFL Pro Hollywood Boot Camp at Universal Studios in Universal City, Calif.

Two of the players are former Broncos — safety Nick Ferguson and wide receiver Ashley Lelie.

The program, which runs from April 2-5, will cover a wide range of topics in the movie industry.

Among the notable current players taking part are Jets offensive lineman D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Rams running back Steven Jackson and Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs.

The four-day boot camp will teach the players about screen writing, directing, producing and film financing. Session leaders include Academy Award-nominated director/producer/screenwriter John Singleton and writer/actor/director Keenen Ivory Wayans.

The players will have a chance to shoot and edit a short film, helping prepare them for a possible post-playing career.

Dungy seems to believe SF is best place for mannign … and i agree but maynot be best for niners .. as they are not interested

  2. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Peyton has never been through FA … he is about to find out it might be a cold cold world out there … sure he will receive suitors but the money wont be wat he expects but at this point in his career he prolly doesnt care about money … just cares about starting.

I personally dont think that Jim Harbaugh will mess with the chemistry his team has rt now, they are playing at a very high level

  4. alaskanbronco06 says:

Williams will be about 13 mil a year…..COME ON DENVER GET IT DONE!!!!!

  5. alaskanbronco06 says:

Well get it done in 6 days……LOL

  6. trigger73 says:

    wow

  7. strandoftds says:

I saw that also Millertime2. If Klis says it could happen, He`d be one of the first to know being a writer for the DP. I believe him. Denver will give Manning a look at least. If The Broncos are really interested then they`ll have to give Peyton a physical, and thats top priority, then EFX can go on from there. Guys and gals, Elway just might pull this one off.

  8. strandoftds says:

DO NOT TRADE TIM TEBOW WHATEVER YOU DO, NO WAY, NO HOW!!!!

  9. strandoftds says:

    Let the show begin!!!!!!

  10. strandoftds says:

And we don`t have to break the bank year one.

  11. alaskanbronco06 says:

Agreed Strand. Maybe we can get Manning Williams Soliai and Carr. THAT WOULD BE GREAT! We do have the cap room….

  12. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Tired of speculation … tuesday can’t come soon enough … granted all the fun won’t happen on the first day … maybe not even in the first week for the broncos but at least we will be well on th eway to knowing.

  13. strandoftds says:

And if this does happen, that automatically opens the door to bring in WR`s Wayne and Garcon.

  14. strandoftds says:

Tim Tebow would learn alot being under Peyton Manning.

  15. alaskanbronco06 says:

The next 6 days need to hurry up!!!!! Lets get the party started!!

  16. ScalptheChiefs says:

@alaskan… my crippled comment was my “clever” way of saying he would be retired, I didnt mean he wouldnt have the use of his legs lol although that is a possibility I guess…. Either way I have complete faith in what Elway and co decide to do. If Manning comes watch the free agents flock to Denver… Dockett from Ari was saying he wants Manning publicly on NFLN… Why wouldnt you want the guy? And if we did get him and he did go down we dont have to rely on Curtis Painter and Orlovsky for the rest of the season

    GO BRONCOS!!!!

  17. ScalptheChiefs says:

Also a couple blogs ago I recall you being convinced we would get Mario for 6-8 mil…. now your number has jumped to 13??

  18. alaskanbronco06 says:

Williams we should set the cap around 15 mil. Carr 5 mil. Soliai 4 mil. Those three along with who we have already could take our D to the next level. Top 10 D if not top 5. We could add depth resign our players we need to and the draft.

I really cant wait 6 more days!

  19. alaskanbronco06 says:

I thought his injury would reduce his worth more than it actually has. 8 mil would be a good start and not exceed 15 mil. Also the fact that SD is very interested in him means we will have to offer a bit more.

  20. ScalptheChiefs says:

Jus an observation brother not trying to be an a hole lol I may not comment to much but I read through these religiously

  21. alaskanbronco06 says:

Oh i know. I should have explained why i increased it. I really thought his injury would decrease the worth more. Yea we have Doom to a big contract but i think Doom and Bailey would be willing to redo their deal. Goodman when he is gone will add 4.6 mil thats about what Carr should get. Williams will get a big contract I want to see Denver go after him big time. Just as long as he doesnt go to SD.

  22. ScalptheChiefs says:

Yea for sure playing him twice a year would not be too much fun… Here is a thought though, maybe SD being so agressive on him will make us up our bid a little more?

  23. bleedorange77 says:

Wonder what Bay would say about the Manning sweepstakes..

  24. alaskanbronco06 says:

Maybe. I would hope so. Thats how it is sometimes. A team you face twice a year wants a guy and you dont want him to go there you do what it takes.

  25. ScalptheChiefs says:

Thats exactly what Im thinking… or hoping lol I jus want it to start so we have a better idea of which way we will go in the draft.

  26. ScalptheChiefs says:

Oh and I have been meaning to comment on this for a while but for some reason I think RG3 is going to be more successful over his career then Luck. They both could be a bust I guess too but RG3 could jus convert to a reciever lol dont know if he oculd handle getting beat up as a RB. A big factor is going to be what team ends up getting RG3 because if its someone like the Browns he may be done before he can even start!

  27. alaskanbronco06 says:

Same here. Draft is the fun part. I think there is a lot of talent in the later rounds this year. I also think as ive said before Reyes from UCONN is very underrated.

  28. alaskanbronco06 says:

LMAO Browns seem to ruin any QB they take. In FA or the Draft.

  29. ScalptheChiefs says:

I was jus looking up Chapman DT from Bama we could snag him in the 5th round possibly and this man is a beast! Can bench close to 600 pounds and his specialty ( according to the scouting report I read) is run defense… A possibility if all our first round favs are not there at 25.

  30. ScalptheChiefs says:

Is everyone convinced there is no way we trade up in this draft? Call me crazy but I am thinking it might happen.

  31. alaskanbronco06 says:

If Williams was tagged it wouldve been 22 mil. His contract will be more than Peppers. Peppers is set to make 9 mil this year. Williams has an estimated worth of 14.3 mil in 2012.

  32. alaskanbronco06 says:

I just think it will cost to much in draft picks to trade up.

  33. millertime2 says:

    new blog

  34. ScalptheChiefs says:

I dont mean trade up to the top 5 but if kirkpatrick falls to 17 or 18 what would it cost to move up 5-8 spots?

  35. bronconasty says:

Peyton Manning should go from being a horse shoe to be the Horse hahaha

  36. alaskanbronco06 says:

Not that much. 25 of course and a 4th and/5th.

IMO I think the Cowboys will take Kirk and leave Jenkins. I dont think Jenkins is worth trading up. He is to high of a risk.

  37. skillz_inc says:

I LOVE TIM TEBOW JUST LOVE THE GUY

BUT GOT GET EM BOYS #MANNING.WILLIAMS,CARR,BUSH,SOLIA ECT

  38. skillz_inc says:

    GO*

  39. luv4elway says:

Hey guys, I’m a longtime Broncos fan and been following the blogs here recently. I’d love to see Mario Williams in a Broncos uniform next season! Probably more so than Peyton Manning! Can you imagine our D with Mario Williams, Von Miller, and Elvis Dummervil?

  40. Crush Arizona says:

with all this talk about Manning I would just like to say that if you are looking on the other side of the ball London Fletcher is an unrestricted free agent this season..just saying is all..

  41. kurtisvl says:

tebow would learn a lot under peyton manning, How is manning different from elway?
