Gosh Dangit............trade deadline comes and goes and the Broncos decide to call a guy up from the practice squad a reciever non the less, like we need more of those..........give me a runnning back. Logan Mankins is sitting there for the taking and we balk......we need help. If we get in the Playoffs we are one and done for sure...........we should be 5-4 going into the Monday night game at SD...........we need a breakout game and this week would be a great week to do that and when i say breakout i mean put 40 points on the board......lately it seems like we hit the 20 point mark and fold it up........stop running between the tackles and let's run some stretch plays or an option or anything that is outside the tackles.........LET'S GO BOYS! GO BRONCOS!

This means nothing to me but special teams could always use the help. Thats probably the position that willis got hurt playing. we got alot of talented WRs so it makes sense to sign a defender in willis stead. I was however hoping for a Dline man. With Vickerson hurt and us trying doing more of a 4-3 front with all the LB injuries...woulda made sense. Dunno if someone already pointed it out since i didnt read the post before mine lol

Oh wow, I'm not 100% sure either. But whatever combination they had is the best one so far and we should keep those guys playing together.

Or maybe McD replaced Hochstein with Daniels and already did what you were hoping he would not do. LOL

I thought that was the week before when Hochstein started over Beadles, but you may be right, however Daniels is the starter on the depth chart now and Hochstein the back up.

Great post Baylin and I totally agree with you. However, I think Hochstein started at left guard over Stanley Daniels. Other then that I am on the same wavelength as you are.

It seems like each year we lack but a little at a few positions to make a real run at the Superbowl. To me this year has been good overall, but the loss of Elvis Dummerville on the D-line and the loss of Moreno for a three game strecth has shown places of weekness for the team to improve. I truly believe though that our lack of a pass catching tight end like the GREAT Shanon Sharpe and our injuries at running back have been our biggest glaring weekness of this season. I actually am impressed with our D-line and even without the presence Dummerville. Having him back next year will make us great on the defensive front, and that always leads to an improvement on the rest of the defensive scheme. We should have an outstanding Defense next year. Our offense to me looks great at QB and our wide outs are as good or better than they have ever been as a group. Thomas looks to be the real deal if he can remain healthy. Our O-line is one of our greatest strengths and it is a young LINE that can become GREAT over time. Ryan Clady is our best overall player on our current roster and the best player to ever come out of Boise State. Left tackle is always the hardest positon to darft on O-line and I believe we have the best in the league with Clady! As for wht needs improvemnet . . . Well as I mentioned I am not at all impressed with Daniel Grahm at least as a pass catcher, and I finf it hard to quantify and qualify him as a blocker (which as I understand is his best skill set). I am also wondering why we don't improve the Full Back position, and I was sad to see Hillis leave after last season, because I thought he was really good as used as a full back blocker and runner. In all we need improvement on our run game and at Tight End and we will be able to compete with any team in the league!

GO BRONCOS - The division is wide open and we can make the playoffs as the AFC WEST Champions - even though we need Dummerville to win another Superbowl!!!

BEAT THOSE RAIDERS!!!

Good post Baylinor. I agree the line play on both sides was the best this season so far. Since I won't have much time the rest of the week to post I will submit my prediction now. My crystal ball sees Tebow throwing a touchdown pass and the scoring opening up and the Broncos win 34-17.

I have finally digested and subsequently let go of the last game. I had to PVR it and watch it yesterday. While I am still somewhat disgusted with how it ended, there were A LOT of positives to take away and something to really build on moving forward.

And the craziness of our division so far this year still leaves it totally up for grabs. And the march to that divisional title starts this weekend against the F'N RAIDERS! We need this game badly! They will play us tough, no doubt, but we are too talented to let them get the win in our house, like what happened last year. It's do or die time for the Broncos and I think they're gonna DO IT BABY!

I hate the Raiders because it's tradition..
I don't feel sorry for them one bit - I hope we stomp a muddy hole in them on game day.

Well, this looks like a slow day unless a late trade annoucement is made, nothing to really say about these for now insignificant roster moves and addition other than plain boring. So in order to pick up the pace a bit, I got something to put myself on the good side of the forever optimists orange kool aid drinking Bronco fans here, something that since I'm actually buying into it is a pretty big deal to me:

Keep with me, what do I always say the game comes down to? THE TRENCHES. That is where a game is won or loss, that is what separates the men from the boys, to man up the trenches one must be a real man, down in the dirt doing the hard labor with no glory to be found, just a job to do, no clean fingernails like prima donna receivers or overpaid cornerbacks, no sir, just hard everyday folks working their dirty job for a living, that pretty much is what playing in the trenches is all about (except for the DE position at times which can be glamorous).

And when these guys do their job, all the rest of the game opens up, on O runners can run, QB's can pass and WR's can catch, on D opposing runners can't run, opposing QB's can't pass and opposing WR's can't catch. Don't anyone fool themselves into overly buying into the flash players out there, the game all starts in the trenches, without it a team is nothing. You're welcome Coop, haha.

Anyhow, I digress, here is my good feed to you guys for the day:

AGAINST THE JETS MCD FINALLY FOUND THE TRENCHES SYSTEM AND PERSONEL COMBO ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL THAT WORK BEST!!!
"Better late than never" McD has got it now (unless he keeps tinkering with it which he probably will, an obsession of his):

On the D line the 4-3 used all game against the Jets was by far the best we have put on the field this season, with Vickerson LDE, J. Williams NT, Marcus Thomas DT, and Bannan RDE doing an excellent job against one of if not the best running team in the league until Vickerson went out. Here is to hoping Vickerson's groin pull is minor so we can have the same set up against the Raiders.

On the O line the line up of Clady LT, Daniels LG, Walton C, Kuper RG and Beadles RT also by far worked the best this season providing the first good decent running game of the season, and keeping Orton relatively clean against the fiercest QB rush in the league.

Now, for the first time this year I can see solid foundations being laid for better times ahead. Told you I would be a positive voice today, don't ever call me negative whatever again, LOL, Realistic Baylin would be fine though. Things are looking up, but I remain very cautiously optimistic as far as our chances this year, one game at a time will be the only valid approach since now losing games is a luxury we have basically squandered away.
