Finally, the day all of Broncos Country has been waiting for most likely since Draft Day is here.
Training Camp is upon us. Just a quick reminder — the first practice today begins at 11:15 a.m. followed by an afternoon practice beginning at 4:05 p.m.
Then on Saturday the schedule goes to what it will normally be for the rest of camp — morning practice at 8:30 a.m., afternoon at 3:40 p.m. since it is a special teams practice. Some days afternoon practice will begin at 3:50 p.m., in which case it is a 40-minute jog-through for the team to get accustomed to plays and their roles.
Just check DenverBroncos.com every day for the schedule, so you can plan ahead. We also have a training camp page here.
Gates open an hour early, so get here early because parking is first-come, first-serve.
The 2008 season is so close we can taste it.

Finally!!!! The wait is over.
Seriously, summer was really starting to get to me. Training camp means that football is almost here and Fall is just around the corner.
Thank GOD! Too bad the great #80 will not be in the roster. Good luck Rod, look forward to seeing you as a WR coach soon!
Not a response to post. I just want to thank Rod Smith for all the great moments in Bronco History. A real class act. IN ROD WE TRUST!!!!
I am wondering if the Dove Valley facility underwent any improvements over the last year in terms of wheelchair accessibility, anybody know? I went last year to find no disabled parking, which is fine. Then, I trek into the complex on a dirt and rock path that is not smooth or level, and is damp meaning every time I put my hands to my wheels there is mud.
Inside, the “handicap platform” is about 120 yards away from where the team is actually practicing. Fine, at least they have a platform for people to get out of the sun if they need to. I don’t need to, so I head out toward the players so I can see something because I am so far away I can’t even tell who is who in terms of the players.
I am stopped at a roped off area and told I cannot go any further because my wheelchair is going to tear up the grass. I say, “It’s not like I am going on the field, it won’t affect the players or anything.” Not to mention I go on grass all the time and it merely leave a mark similar to the tracks that the wheels of a lawnmower makes, it doesn’t tear up grass. So I ask for a supervisor, express my concerns that I can’t see jack from my quarantined area. This guy walks around for a couple minutes like he is doing something, comes back and tells me there’s nothing he can do.
At this point I have lost all excitement for being at training camp as I am being treated like I have an infectious disease and tell the supervisor what I think about the accessibility at Dove Valley (BTW Invesco is AWESOME in terms of accessibility) and that this does not meet Denver’s standards which are set relatively high.
So I am wondering if it is worth going back this year, or has nothing changed and will I still feel like Hannibal Lecter? Anybody know?
