The Broncos offense went 69 yards in six plays for a touchdown on the opening drive of last night’s 35-14 loss in San Diego. During its final 11 possessions, Denver picked up 169 yards total and just seven more points.
On Tuesday morning, Head Coach Josh McDaniels gave the Chargers credit for making defensive adjustments that his team never solved.
The head coach said the Chargers, who blitz on about 40 percent of plays, backed off the pressure significantly after the first drive and focused on taking away Kyle Orton’s sideline passing lanes.
“That took some adjusting on their part because they had to leave some of their comfort zone I am sure and go to some different things, but that was something they tried to do and we tried to combat it,” McDaniels said. “We didn’t do it very well, and the game ended up becoming more of a catch up game for us.”
Part of the reason for that success was outside linebacker Shaun Phillips’ success getting pressure on Orton without his team having to send blitzes. Orton’s former college teammate finished with a game-high two sacks and two quarterback hurries.
As the team rapidly fell behind, Denver focused almost exclusively on the pass trying to comeback. The situation created a perfect storm for San Diego’s defensive scheme to thrive.
The Broncos mustered a season-low 235 yards of total offense and converted just 1-of-12 third-down opportunities.
After the game-opening score, the visitors never sustained a drive longer than 39 yards, allowing the Chargers to score 35 unanswered points during one stretch and ensuring Denver headed home with its seventh loss of the season.
“There are things we can do better, no doubt about it in the game that we didn’t do last night very well,” McDaniels said. “But, again, they made some adjustments and they worked because of the guys they had and made them go.”
INJURY UPDATE
McDaniels ruled Andre’ Goodman, Demaryius Thomas and Darcel McBath out for Sunday’s game against St. Louis at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
Goodman has missed six of the past eight games due to injury. Thomas and McBath were injured in yesterday’s loss to the Chargers.
McDaniels also discussed the choice not to play Robert Ayers in San Diego, calling it “a tough decision.”
McDaniels said he was worried Ayers would not have been able to make it through the entire game, which could have compromised the team’s defensive gameplan and even had an impact on special teams personnel.
Ayers, who practiced on a limited basis last week and came into the game questionable, has missed five games with a foot injury. McDaniels said Ayers is eager to get back onto the field, and the head coach looks forward to getting back his starting outside linebacker soon.
“(Ayers is) a competitive person,” McDaniels said. “He’s missed playing for a number of weeks now and wants to get back out there and help his team. It isn’t an easy decision to decide that the best thing is to not play him for a number of different reasons. But, I’ll give him credit — he went out there and worked hard in the pregame warm-ups and then wanted to play. But I just don’t think that was the best thing for us last night.”

YEAH…….we need to make adjustments too, starting with the firing of the HC and the GM!
We were pretty healthy last night going up against a team that had way more injuries than we did,I guess they have way more talented backups than we do starters,or it could be coaching…..nah couldn’t be.
Their adjustments worked because our guys gave up coach!!!!!!!!
I never dreamed this would turn into a historical season!
Though, I won’t ever care to remember.
St. Louis must be licking their chops…
16-24 STL
I’m so tired of hearing how well the other team did this well or that well. Made the proper adjustments, blah blah blah blabladilly blah!
Go Broncos!!! (I almost believe myself)
Funny stuff OC. May I add, fire McD and convert Tebow to fullback!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t know if I’ll root for us to win the rest of the games,so were not the worst team in the NFL,or root for us to lose all of them so we will get the overall #1 pick, just so management can waste it on some player we don’t really need….descisions….descisions…..descisions……
I guess we all are just spoiled seeing as we are not used to being cellar dwellars….8-8 looks pretty damn good right now don’t it?
so what do we have to look forward to after this year? an early draft pick? A 1st round QB with almost no experience? A new HC? A new GM? The loss of Champ? The loss of Dawk? We need to stop the bleeding now, or this could get out of hand. I have given up hope for this season (yea I’m a true fan, but I am a realist too) I can deal with one year, but I do not want to become the Raiders/Chiefs and have to wait YEARS for a winning season. I say that unless JOSH can show he can get his players ready for games, call good plays, and most of all WIN than we need to give him the axe. I sat by while he rid Denver of great talent, but I won’t stand by and watch us become the laughing stock of the NFL.
GO BRONCOS! Give me Gruden!
It sucks to know that Denver has one of the most talented teams in the NFL and yet they cannot do anything!
Don’t give up hope! We could still win the rest of our games and get into the playoffs as a 9-7 wild card!

Yeah right
WOW.. What a Low Blow for the broncos. I thought for sure we would have came out and play better then we did. seeing as we had more to lose then they did. i just dont get it. You know, I think its so funny that McD was talking about how the team was putting in “extra” time on the special teams this week because of the troubles the chargers were having this year with other teams. with the blocked punts and kicks and the run backs. but in all truth, the chargers did it to us. cause i truly believe when they faked that punt and got that first down. the hole momentum changed from the broncos to the chargers. and from there on out the broncos didn’t stand a chance. And… The fact that we are the number 2 offense in passing this year and we go 1 for 11 on 3 downs!! UNBELIEVABLE!! there is no way you can win a game with them kind of numbers.. i say we fire offense, defense, head coach cause they all got way out played when the game mattered so much to us and it was a must win game. And not to mention the GM sucks at his job to.. I say we start over at the end of this year. I think we should clean house at the end of this year and go from there. and i also think we should start by hiring either Bill Cowher, John Gruden or Brian Billick. my favorite of the three is Bill Cowher. seems to be a great guy and a very good coach.
The fan base doesn’t deserve this kind of crap… and certainly doesn’t deserve to hear about how great the other team was or this “perfect storm” nonsense being spouted by the party faithful and PR hacks.
Here’s the real story: McD sucked at his job, Orton choked and the team folded after a fake punt broke their collective backs.
Not much to say about this team right now. Very disappointing. They deserve to be 3-7 if this is how they are going to play. This team just flat gave up after that fake punt (which killed this game for us). Should’ve seen it coming.
Among all the other adjustments that need to be made, I’m getting real sick of Orton. Drove me crazy that he held onto that football for so long when he got sacked. He has got to learn to get rid of it when he’s got nowhere to throw it. I was hoping McD would have a brain and put Tebow in for the 2nd half but that’s just too much to ask, I guess. Too much went wrong, I’m not about to analyze it all nor do I want to. Our very first drive was the only highlight of the game. I’ll stick with remembering just that.
Season is pretty much over but I haven’t given up that they could win a few more games… that’s about all I can ask of this team anymore, just a few more games. But if they keep playing like crap then they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. We didn’t fight to win last night’s game at all – that’s the worst part. I’d at least like to see them TRY to win a few more games. That’s probably too tall of an order to ask of this team, but at least I said it.
Have faith Bronco Country… for whatever its worth,
GO BRONCOS!!!!
The Rams and Cardinals are winnable games
You know it’s a BAD year when 07 is losing the faith.
Maybe not having a season next year will be a blessing. It pains me to think, as bad as our team appears to be, that we will end up losing our best player on defense and offense next year. Yes im talking about Champ and Kyle Orton. I know I’m gonna be vilified for the last name drop.
Just like my ‘Fire McD’ offseason chant….
tell me about it sndl,
07, you’ve always been a bright times like these, i guess theres always a last straw..
cheer up, we’ve still a while to go, havnt given up on this season…we’ve learned that some things just wont cut it..
Go Broncos! finish strong
Even the Faith isn’t gonna cut it now, sooner or later everyone becomes a realist, some sooner than others, but in the end we are all facing the same music, our team is in total disarray, gald to see that even the hardest hardcore kool aid drinkers are voicing their displeasure to what our franchise has become in a mere year and a half under Ellis, Xanders and McD. Because don’t fool yourself, it’s not all on McD, Ellis and Xanders came into the picture at the same time as McD, it used to be that the Goodmans did a fair job at the top, but they got let go because McD wanted to have more power, hence came some folks who would give a long leash to McD, so wait a second, it maybe is all McD’s doing after all, LOL.
Anyway it looks as if we are down to about two mathematicians now who are attempting to tell us we are still in this thing, don’t worry, we won’t shut you out whenever you will feel like it’s all over, everyone needs to come around on his own time, there is nothing wrong with that, we are still all Bronco fans, a little bit disconnected in the process maybe, but in the end we all get there. And once we all will be on the same side we will move mountains and demand that this team be turned around right here and now! I can always hope since I was one of the core group of guys who have been here wondering what in the heck is going on in our Bronco Country for over a year now….
Anyway, had errands to run to be set up for Thanksgiving so I missed a couple things today:
First, my score predictions results finally got posted, you can find it on the second half blog, Nov. 23rd 7:58 am.
Next, everyone owes it to himself or herself to check out OC’s post on the second half blog, Nov. 23rd 1:34 pm, an absolute OC classic, funny enough to crack your jaw bones, unless you are a stiff upper lip McD regime fan, LOL.
Then danso, you need to get over the sarcastic stuff, there is a time for it and that ship has long sailed, reading that stuff now is just making me even sadder, if that’s even possible, just saying.
Finally Manny, McD has two more years on his contract after this one, not one, and I do believe Bowlen will give him next year because of the unresolved labor talks but there is absolutely nothing I see now that would have McD finish his fourth year here in 2012.
The thing that bothered me the most about watching that game was that fact that all the commentators did was talk about Rivers the game and saying the exact same things the whole game. How annoying is it when you’re trying to watch the Broncos and they keep cutting to a old clip of kid Rivers in his yard. I don’t know about you guys but it drove me crazy!
TEBOW TIME!
Ok, next I’ll do a short version of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly since everything about the game has already been dissected:
The Good:
-The first drive was a thing of beauty, a Royal 8 yd catch to start it off, a 21 yd pass to Lloyd then a great flea flicker call to Loyd for 18 and then Moreno took over with three runs in a row to get us a TD, how about that, absolutley the best drive all year, a perfect follow up to the KC game.
- McBath back on ST making all the tackles, awesome.
- Mays amazing all of us with his first half tackles all over the place, as I have said we can not afford to sit this man out of the LB rotation and send him back to ST when Ayers comes back.
- Nathan Jones actually applied good pressure on Rivers at the beginning of the 2nd quarter which forced an incompletion and a FG which they missed.
- Bannan’s great sack up the middle in the second.
- Bailey’s out of this world INT in the second also, an absolute steal.
- Haggan also applying good pressure on Rivers and making valuable tackles in the first half.
- LB Alexander batting a Rivers ball down early, who is that guy? LOL.
- Royal returning a nice kick along the side line.
- Lloyd keeping up his acrobatic catches, well deserving of the spiderman moniker Gruden gave him.
The Bad:
- Overall a terrible lack of pressure on Rivers.
- Overall a terrible lack of protection fo Orton.
- Overall a terrible job of stopping the run up the middle.
- Overall Larsen had a terrible day.
- Overall Dawkins was even worse.
- Overall we shot ourselves in the foot with stupid penalties whenever we needed not to.
- Overall our D coverage was atrocious.
- Once again like in the game at Washington last year, we get schooled on a punt fake which once again was a huge momentum changer.
The Ugly:
Two things clearly stood out to me:
1. Bringing Tebow in the first quarter at about mid field on a first down so he can hand it off to Moreno has to be some of the most absurd way of thinking I have ever seen from a NFL coach. Orton had to be thinking what the …., it absolutely brought nothing to the table other than negatives, a disgrace of sort, disgusting.
2. Six three and outs from our O!!!! Count them, I think I got them right, SIX THREE AND OUTS out of an average 8 or so possession in a NFL game!!! What is the D supposed to do, what are the ST supposed to do, if the O is none existent other than the first drive of the game and in the trash time at the end, we have no shot whatsoever. Where is the offensive genius in all of that? Enough said, I already touched on that earlier, but yeah those were Ugly things, and trust me I am being nice, there was a lot more ugly category stuff going on out there, but it’s about all my fingers can take… So I’ll leave it at that.
Lafieny, they talked about Rivers all game because he is the one who has made it happen for the last 4 years for the Chargers with 4 division titles, why in the world would anyone talk about us since we have been totally out of the running for now our fifth straight year? Respect is something that’s earned, you just can’t bs your way into it, get real, Rivers deserved all of that and more because he has the game to back up his talking, all the Broncos do anymore is talk and talk and do nothing to back it up, a completely hollow message, like a chihuahua barking is about as scary as we get is all, and when you think about it that is a perfect image of McD’s demeanor, we are what we are and no one in their right mind can build us up in front of a national TV audience and hope to keep up the ratings, except with us Bronco fans, just saying.
I just took a little time to read most of the posts since last night and it looks like everyone’s mood is about the same. Last night game was pretty much a ‘must win’ for us as we all know. If we somehow make the playoffs it will be an obvious fluke since we pretty much need to win out and have some help on top of that. I was pumped a heck before the game (as we all were) and after that first drive I was about to hit the roof! We saw the fake punt and that pretty much took the wind out of our sails and the team never rebounded from that. What a pity.
That being said, when we beat KC last week, KO had a clean pocket the whole game and their wasn’t a blemish on his pretty orange jersey the whole game. Against SD our O-line didn’t fair quite as well and there you go. Kyle is a great pocket passer when the pocket is clean, but, when he has to scramble he’s no John Elway or Jake Plummer. One reason is because he has to plant his back foot to throw the ball with any velocity (from what I see). I like the heck out of Kyle, but, he is not a difference maker when times get tough! I think that McD should give Tebow his shot if we lose against the Rams, although it would be cool to see a Tebow/Bradford matchup! I’m not letting the rest of the team off the hook for this disappointment but I think Tebow (in time) can do the job. I would love to see what the kid can do. What we’re doing now isn’t working. Obviously!
I will keep everything else to my self for now.
Go Broncos!
As much as I hate to say it, I respect the Chargers as well as the Chiefs and Raiders now more than I ever have. It’s mainly out of envy. Those three teams seem to have something our beloved Broncos don’t have: heart.
We don’t have heart anymore, just clogged arteries. It’s a shame. I can’t even defend the Broncos to another AFC West fan because I know I’ve got nothing on them anymore.
Like Bay said, respect is earned. And my favorite team is the only one in the division that I don’t feel has earned it this year. How sad…
TRBs Two Cents…
Well i would like to say i didn’t see this coming….but i did. Even picked us losing. Rivers is a great QB. They have the best offense and 2nd best defense. The even had more wins. We lost on paper before we even got into the game. And even tho Chargers wins and losses are low their team stats dictate they should be winning and November and December is thier month (sorry for uptalking the chargers. Disguted me to do it but it was a fact)
Stance remains the same. Start tebow. Bench Orton. Start all the young guys and play for next year see what we have before the next draft. This year is done. I said we may end up 7-9 at best but we may not even touch that. Orton is a good QB when things go to script but like we always knew, he is not a playmaker. When things break down, he can’t make things happen. Not mobile enough. If he was the colts QB he would do great behind that oline. But this young oline with a weak scheme requires more mobility.
End of season I say fire McD and Xanders. Get someone in here that knows what they are doing at GM. A Coach with experience. And a new staff. Im talkiing offensive coord, oline coach, STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING, i mean a staff overhaul lol. BUt seroiusly, we need a change bad, and like people said, stop the bleeding.
Yovi21 I hate to break the news to you but we’ve already lost Champ and Dawk. The proof is in their play. We’ve lost many of the players and their lack of effort shows. McDani keeps saying….. “We were out played, out coached, we have to get better, we will get better, whah whah whah whah”! He sounds just like Charlie Browns teacher.
We’ve been out everything in every game we’ve played! Even the games we won!! I hope and pray that we at least give effort against the Rams. If we don’t then we will help Sam Bradfords Rookie of the year resume!!
Well said milehighmagic88
For the ones wondering about Demaryius status, McD says there is absolutely no chance he will play Sunday, and neither will McBath nor Goodman:
Thomas had a magnetic resonance imaging exam on his ankle this morning. McDaniels said the ankle was not fractured, but there is some soft tissue damage. Thomas left the stadium in San Diego Monday night using crutches.
Get well DT!
Go Broncos!
Brian Baldinger wears too much make up! LOL!
st.L 27- Den 16
two drafts full of D studs Mathews, Orakpo etc.. and we drafted wrs, Qbs, TEs and we wonder why our D is the worst in the NFL.
The Broncos arent like the Cowboys that stoped playing for there HC are they? We all know the divas of Dallas lost just to get rid of the HC and so did the Vikings maybe the Broncos are up to it as well. I dont know im just saying if it sounds crazy let me know
Who knows anymore even 07elway is bummed out but I’m going to pick the BRONCOS over st Louis 24-13 .don’t know why just a diehard I guess
Hey, I’m not totally turning my back yet. I’ve only lost about 5% of my faith in this team. I never denied we were having a bad season but I held onto my hope that they could turn it around. They clearly didn’t want to do that as much as I wanted them to. But if they continue to give up in the middle of games then they don’t deserve to be a playoff team. If they actually fought for it when they are down in points, I might actually think they deserve to win the AFC West let alone make a legit playoff run. The whole team gave up on last night’s game. I’m more frustrated than anything.
My hometown team is 3-7… of course I’m bummed out… and they have 6 more games left. Very likely it could get worse. Then again, I’ve seen stranger things happen, especially in this league. I haven’t ruled out anything yet. Man, you all took my comment a lot further than it was meant. My faith in this team isn’t lost yet. Again, its very unlikely they’ll have a better record than 8-8 this year, which will just bug me to no end & I personally wouldn’t want to see them in the playoffs if they continue to play this bad, nor would they deserve to be near the playoffs… but I’m all for being pleasantly surprised at year’s end. My glass is still half-full of the good stuff. There’s nothing this team can do that would surprise me though. Bring it on! Here’s to the unexpected.
Have faith Bronco Country…
GO BRONCOS!!!!
So if they made adjustments and after the first three and out why didn’t mcdaniels and company make the adjustments also? Have a backup plan..and then another plan and when all else fales run the ball and why the crap did they go away from running the ball? They seemed to be doing very well and then it was pass pass pass pass pass pass run ect… I mean the running game gets the passing game going not the other way around. Secondly run the ball down their throats. eventually that defense will have to sustain the run and bring in their safties to help out and then throw deep. The running game has been non existent and that is what wears teams down. Oh yeah and champs interception was awesome. But honestly our dbs give so much cushion.. they need to be more physical with the wide recievers make them work extremely hard to get anything going. Jam them every time and push them around. So much for being a physical and smart football team aye..
heres hoping for next year
GO BRONCOS..
Since here we are already in the Tanksgiving week having won a grand total of 3 games so far and we still have a couple of mathematicians and faith preachers here clamoring their “we’re still in there, we’re not out of it yet, blah blah blah” stuff, I thought that I needed to add a new word to my Bronco dictionary, so here it is:
BRONCO BLINDER, name. A Bronco fan with blinders on who follows the team blindly no matter what all the way into the precipice.
Synonyms. Fool, nitwit, simpleton, nincompoop, buffoon, ignoramus, donkey, bonehead, dope, numbskull, dimwit and crackpot.
Disclaimer: This in no way was meant to be deragotary in any way shape or form, and was specifically not meant to be aimed at anyone in particular. It was simply posted here for pure entertainment purposes in the hope that Bronco fans everywhere are still able to maintain a sense of humor through this utterly depressing season. Amen. LMAO….
I think this may have been one of the saddest blogs to date. What was said was basically, “man, who knew they would make adjustments…we weren’t prepared for that. No one told me that coaching would require me having more than one approach to a game. I am lost.”
I will be one of the few people who defends Champ and Cox. The HAVE TO play off the receivers to even have a chance. Bump and Run works well when the qb is being pressured, not when he has ALL DAY to throw. Most of our failures in the backfield are due to our ineptitude up front. Jamall Williams really did a number up there, Bannan had his first sack inYEARS. And why again is everyone clamoring for 1.5 sacks from Ayers again?
Hahahaha @ Bay! Good one!
CarnageBronc, some people act as if Ayers was doing so great before he got injured. He was headed towards a BUST label before he had a some what good game one week. Then back to his old tricks the next.
Thank god I’m doing good in my fantasy leagues bc it helps ease some of the pain I feel each week after a Broncos game.
Bay are you taking scores?
Of course melow.
Sighhhhh here goes nothing…..
Rams – 31
Broncos – 27
Only giving us 27 bc we are at home
Just read Jarvis Moss signed with the Oakland Raiders.
You know Bay I think your missing the point of us so dubbed Kool Aid drinkers (OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAA lol) We watch and cheer for the sake of watching and cheering even through the bad. A friend asked me how I can always cheer for a losing team she loves to remind me every time they lose. I told her while I care that they have lost its just the cheering I watch for. Through that whole game (sad as I was might have cried but was in public lol) I cheered for this team. The table next to me was full of chargirls fans who were lovin it up but even in the end they had to give it up to the Broncos for the good just as I gave it up to the Chargers for their game. I’m not speakin for any one else but to me keeping faith is continuing to believe til the end. Anything is possible, but dont take that as Im saying we still take the west or go to the playoffs, anything is possible is all im saying. I just want to sit back and enjoy watchin my team good or bad this is my team. WE have been to the top of the mountain we have seen the lowest valleys and we have stood tall we will again. This is why I watch sports to cheer for my team til the end. When the Nuggets lose I’m still cheering When the Rockies lose I still cheer, When the Avs lose I still cheer. All I’m saying is maybe we should just sit back and enjoy the rest of the games for the sake of watchin the Broncos play cuz there is a good chance we wont see them play for a while next season is irrelevant we can still enjoy the rest of this year. I know I know YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME we arent winning not yet but we will I put my word to it we will win we will be back on top we are rebuilding this team we are getting better we just need a couple more pieces like some young blood on that defense that is just not getting it done.
Just tryin to make a point and give a different perspective and am in no way sayin I am not dissapointed with what has happened but come on what did we truly expect from this season? I expected the same I have always expected to watch the Broncos play football, lets leave it at that and njoy a game we all love one way or another.
GO BRONCOS IN 2010 That’s all that matters
88 FYI, as if you didn’t know by now I watch and cheer loudly for my team every game and the great majority of them in public in full Bronco attire and I enjoy all 60 minutes every time to the very end, even the Raider loss, but that being said that doesn’t mean I’m a Bronco Blinder come mid week discussing our team’s chances at this point of this season, BIG DIFFERENCE. We are now playing for 2011, anything less is going even further backward in my book, SD beat our A team with their B and even C team!!!! Who are the Bronco Blinders kidding but themselves…
Bay I’m not coming at you at all so its all good just giving my perspective as do you an everyone else on this blog I will never doubt or even be disrespectful of you fandum everyone who ever read one of these blogs knows you so that being said I am not saying we will make it Im not saying anything other than this team is my team no matter what and I am not calling you out. I know you are a realist so am I. I know what this is but a ralist can still have hope even if it is not for this season. The issue is that I see it in a different light is all as we are all allowed. I stand with ya cheering for this team. But in the end I just try to point to some of the positive that I am seeing I feel that there is too much focus on the negatives all I want to do is show there are positives in all this so call me the Kool Aid drinker and a Bronco Blinder and Ill call you a hater and we will argue for the same cause in the end. (Note I dont really think you are a hater but as long as week after week you come out with a new name for those who dont always believe what you believe then I will call you a hater).
On another note the very second that this team starts playing for 2011 is the very second that this team walks the wrong path. You have to keep playing for this year no matter what. The next game is all that matters at this point you know what I mean? Next year comes in due time but we still have to play for whats left of this season whatever that might be.
Hoping you respond tough I am not looking to start an argument. As I have said in the past I nothing but respect for you and for that matter all of you,
WE ARE BRONCOS COUNTRY IN THE END THATS WHAT TRULY MATTERS
GO BRONCOS
*Though* Though a tuff response is never shied away from lol
See I still have my humor lmao
************Hey everyone I know you are all focused on blogging about the team but check out the cheerleaders blog it is about collecting things for the troops. It definitely needs some attention, even if you just read it so you know what is going on and when. So you can help support their drive! Thanks bronco family!!************
Easy response, I come up with stuff all the time because I like to have fun, that’s my main objective, sometimes it’s about the fans sometimes about the team, but monikers like Bronco Blinder I think are pretty funny as some bloggers concurr.
About playing for 2010 I completely disagree, by now playing for 2011 we can find out about all our back ups and who will be able to help us in 2011 and who won’t, we already know what the guys who are playing now can do so it is utterly counter productive when the season is wasted to stick with your best starting team out there and try to win as many games as you can, it won’t advance you one bit for the future, what better way to find out about Tebow, Decker, Vaughn, SydQuan and whoever else who might pan out given the chance and find out if you can win games with them now. We all know off season and preseason does not prepare these young man for the real thing, this is the golden opportunity to get ahead, with your way of thinking all I see is going nowhere, complete stagnation as to where we are at whether we win or lose, just my opinion.
And I’m not arguing with you or anyone else, I come here say my peace try to keep it funny and somehow instructional and I move on so don’t worry about any of that stuff with me.
You’re right Bay, we need to start playing for next year. In fact, we need to fast forward to next year. That would be the only way to make the bleeding stop.
I can definitely see the benefit of bringing out the young guys actually I would start to mix them into the starters a little bit without taking out the starting team. I just think that when you decide to give up on everything this year you quit when you quit you lose you truly lose. I don’t know man I do not understand the meaning of stop I dont think you can ever quit on what is now, when we do that we lose on every level not just one in life and in football ya know? Never give up Never surrender Never stop you have to keep on for now because that all that really matters. Thats why I like McDaniel because he wont stop until there is no chance we will make it, read the NFL.com story That mentality is what is going to define this team down the road. Its like the boxer who even though he knows he lost on paper keeps fighting til the end and all you can do is respect that In my opinion at least. Ya know?
The problem Broncosfolife is even though McD is not willing to give up, his team seems to have given up on him. What’s the point in playing veterans who aren’t even listening to their head coach? Might as well play the youngsters who are too inexperienced to challenge his authority yet. Then, who knows? We might actually see some effort on the field.
That’s one opinion and I respect it, however I disagree with it also, I have made my life as a business owner and one of the most important survival tool in business is to know when it’s time to pull out of something that is going nowhere, a money loser kind of thing, the longer you stick with a losing project, the deeper you sink, I have seen many folks going completely broke because they never could recognize when it was time to try something different and let their original dream die, not all dreams can succeed.
The stuff you are saying is good for little kids when they grow up to give them a sense of the neeed to stick with something rather than just going all over the map doing little of this little of that and never succeed at anything. But this is not a little kid’s game, it’s the NFL and it’s a serious business and your way of going at looking things is an extremely dangerous excercise in my opinion. What we are doing is not working, we need to look for another way to succeed, simple as that, and there is no time like the present, pushing the inevitable back will only send us to deeper longer lasting problems down the road.
MileHiighMagic88 (love the handle by the way) I am not sure that this team has given up at least not everyone. I really just think that the defense is too old and they wear out too quick. If our defense plays better as a unit we win more. Some players on Defense are giving up and I doubt they will be back and if they are then hopefully we have a true leader on the defense to help keep their heart in the game. We need a true leader on D and we will be a different team.
im pretty sure now that Jarvis Moss has signed with another team that he is going to break the single season sack record lol
