The Denver Broncos on Thursday waived tackle Marcus Gordon, linebacker Braxton Kelley and wide receiver Travis Shelton (pictured above), it was announced. All three players were signed by the club as rookie college free agents.
Gordon (Kentucky State University) and Shelton (Temple University) signed with the Broncos on April 27 while Kelley (University of Kentucky) joined the club on April 28.
And the cutting of the players has begun. Much more to come.
I didn’t recognize any of these names. It will be a while until the tough cuts start, where we lose players that people really love.
Shelton was a potential returner. I guess Eddie Royal will still be the guy.

It is really interesting to see how Coach McDaniels runs the camps. If you are not competitive then you are gone. He really does not keep bodies that do not fit his Bronco type player.
Vince Young has already quit on his team once. He is NOT a Bronco type player.
Chis Simms will do just fine this year as #2 but he will be gone next year.
A bronco fan just deleted his team in my fantasy football league so there is 1 slot open. This is how you join. What you have to do is go to yahoo fantasy sports and sign up to be a member of yahoo if you already havent. After that go to the fantasy football page and click on join a league, after that click on join custom league, then it will ask for your ID # and password, ID# is 62034 and password is orangecrush, then make your team name as your name on this site. then click save and continue and you can look at how much everything is worth. then click register and your ready to go once you do your rankings. First come First serve.
I actually thought Shelton was going to make the team, solely on his returning abilities.
why would Shelton make the team? he doesn’t have near the ability as Royal and Phonzy do at returning. does anyone see Phonz returning punts or kickoffs?

Moreno, Hillis, Marshall, Royal, Gaffney, Mckinley, Stokely, Quinn, Graham, Scheffler. I think anyone of these guys would be capable of starting for the broncos this season. Gets me all excited and pumped up for next season.
Calling people names because they have a differing opinion is pretty juvenile, don’t you think? Like you might expect from a spoiled pre-school brat maybe? I see an awesome and exciting potential in the offense, and I also see some huge (pardon the pun) improvements in the defense for this season. I’m looking forward to a good showing … a good season, at the very least. Certainly not in the bottom five like some of the less discerning pundits have us.

I think the Broncos are going to be alot better than people think. I get tired of all the naysayers and McDaniels haters. Give the guy a chance! Yes..he made a mistake by forcing Cutler out..but I have a feeling he is going to build a solid team that can win it all without a star QB..after all Brad Johnson won one by playing smart..not turning the ball over and having a defense that could stop people..it won’t happen overnight but give the Broncos 2 or 3 years and we will contend with anyone. Cutler has too much of a chip on his shoulder and makes alot of dumb mistakes..especially in the red zone..he forced the ball way too much and I dont see that changing in Chicago. Anyway..lets all just forget about him and MOVE ON..teams win championships..not individuals.

Vince Young cannot read a defense to save his life. Chris Simms will not start, but is a respectable #2. So he is mobile, big deal. I for one do not want to see Vince Young as a Bronco. Lets give the guys we have a chance. With the right coaching, Orton will get the job done. Maybe not a franchise player, but he will have success, he is surrounded by way too many weapons to fail. The Elway type quarterback does not exist anymore. A new Era has started in Denver and we need to see how it plays out. Change is not always a bad thing. Watch and see. GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!
I liked Mike throughout his career and I liked Cutler. I’m thinking negative to Simms and the other QB’s will have to prove their worth to me. I’ve been a Denvers fan since Elway came on the seen. McDaniels has some big shoes to fill now that Mike is gone but I love my Broncos and I’m patient in seeing how the new team will play out. Everyone deserves a chance!!! and I was tired of seeing the team go almost to the playoffs then lose it and last year was pathetic losing the last 4 games… So in a positive note GO DENVER!!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!

The team is gonna start taking shape. Only the best for our Denver Broncos! Everyone needs to keep thier expectations high. We should expect a top ten team. And cheer for them as if they were number one no matter what the score board says. This is the most exciting season in years.

Because they always are MY number one team! Love to see the trimming of the roster before Mini camp has even started, to not waste time and energy keeping players around just to provide the ‘competitive’ spirit…. I’m sure there is still plenty of it present.
I almost want to close my eyes and ears until we have our final roster, because we have so many highly talented and high caliber-character types, that you know some of the ones getting cut will possess those traits, and it will hurt to see them go. As always, thank you for your time and efforts with/for the Broncos you three! The fact that you were with us at all will be respected and appreciated by (this guy) at least!
Too bad for the players cut. But if we’re cutting someone as good returner as Shelton, that means there are even better players for that still in the house.
And yeah, change sometimes hurts. Let’s see who’s next…

I don’t know about punts, but Royal should definitely be returning kickoffs because he was amazing at it last year.
You have to get the story right to tell it. Unfortunately, I followed the Titans closely for 5 years… I am almost ashamed to say it because I am a lifetime Broncos fan… The reason is, my nephew Andre Woolfolk, a Denver native and Graduate of TJ Spartans with Daniel Graham, played for the raggedy Titans… Vince Young did not quit on his team. He actually was quitting on himself and the world, not the Titans persay, on everything. He was dangerously close to suicide. This is not a lifetime diagnosis though. He was going through pressure with no help. He had no support group because everyone assumes NFL players don’t need any type of support, counseling, etc. It is hard, especially if you read the press and listen to all the press on radio, TV etc. It can damage your psyche. Andre had a tough career, mostly due to injury, but partially due to the team trying to give up on him. He continued to fight back, until he was released injured. The Titans front office has made a habit of putting guys who still have talent into a Twilight Zone status where they would rather let you rot away, especially when a lucrative contract is involved. You know you are ready to challenge again, but don’t get the shot…. That is what Vince Young has come to realize. The Titans have turned their back on him already, they are just playing the role, either until Vince and his agent make a move or until they can just say goodbye and not get much fallout about it. Vince is right to move on, because Fisher is stubborn… He is not going to give him a shot to be the man again.
CONTINUED: Forgot to say…. VY would not be a McDaniels type….. So the Simms for Young thing won’t happen.
The trade would never happen, if for no other reason then tht Simms has been learning the O before any of the others. I doubt McD wants to have to start from scratch with another QB.
Who throws out such outlandish topics such as VY becoming a Bronco??? LOL Never happen!!! About Shelton being cut… Not always do the best players make the team, they also need to be diverse. Especially for McD’s system! It’s business. Numbers and money…
TRADE BMARSH TO AZ FOR ANQUAN BOLDIN!! nuff said…and i really love BMARSH……but come on, he popped the bottles on the killers of DWILL…he is always in trouble and now he wants more money!!! this guy is a beast but only played hard his first game of the year…and near the end of the season he was dropping balls and fumbling…his fumbles cost us a game last season….i love him and hope we can work it out but it seems like more trouble then he is worth…

A. Boldin can make an average QB look super! I would love to have that weapon on the squad. B. Mashall is in the mix alot, girlfriends, punking around. It is tough to find freak athletes who aren’t. I will trust that McDaniels and company are looking at all these issues.
Just at a glance, I am sure that Boldin is too expensive to us right now. Marshall is not real expensive, and has great potential.

yeah true that….Boldin is expensive but im sure what Bmarsh is holding out for will be top money at the position…i mean his last two years are top 5 in the NFL…he wants Andre Johnson money….yet he may not be worth the headaches…but i do feel that this year he has grown up sooooooo much…….and if he can get some muturity and work ethic like rod smith had…he really can become a legend in the nfl…but thats alot of buts…

Phonzy is a great nickname. Since it does sound like Henry Winkler’s nickname in the TV show Happy Days, lets hope that he brings us plenty of them.
Marshall needs to realize that if he wants to get paid the big bucks, he will have to prove himself worthy of it by showing a good work ethic and having outstanding seasons consistently game to game. Also he needs to stay out of trouble off the field. Then and only then will he get the big paychecks.
if there is one thing B Marsh isn’t hes not a quitter, I mean he ain’t quit beatin women…he ain’t quit screwin up outside of football…he ain’t quit DUI’n. the man is a force on the field, my favorite Bronco next to Champ and DJ but the fact of the matter is he has the right to ask for more money, and Denver can pay if they want to…I would hold out this year and if he put up the #s I would franchise him next year…he isn’t gonna sandbag it on the field cause that’ll mess up his money from any other prospective ball club or from the Denver Broncos if he tried to re-sign. You see how Chad Och Cinco is singin a new tune, the hard ball route didn’t work and now hes gonna try and finesse his way out of Cinncy…make him stay and play or he can sit the bench and lose out on his same checks for the year and lose a year of football. B Marsh do what you need to to get paid man, but when it comes game time play for your teamates.

I think we will be just fine, will probably have a bumpy first season but hold on to you’re hopes, 2nd season it will be our chance to really know if coach mcdaniels has what it takes to get our beloved broncos to a playoff and maybe our first superbowl under his talented coaching skills,we all know that we have the players to compete at our highest levels, all we have to do is keep on going to the stadium to show them our full support and if any body can follow them on the road that will be the extra effort for an ultimate fan i know for a fact players play 1000% better when they see that there is blue and orange all over the stadium, so come on broncos let’s hope for the best,, go broncosssss!!!!!!!!!!
