Three Injury Designations

July 28th, 2010 - 5:15pm by Gray Caldwell

The Broncos on Wednesday placed Darrell Reid and Jamal Williams on the physically unable to perform list, and placed Ryan Clady on the non-football injury list.

All three players count against the 80-man roster, and all three can resume practicing at any time upon completing a physical.

    What’s wrong with Jamal Williams?

  2. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Ill tell u whats wrong…. he was 12 years old when I was born lmao … enough with the old jokes lol. Seriously Hope he gets better. He is to our DL what Clady is to our OL. Rest up guys … even take off preseason if need be ^_^

  3. marshisboss says:

Maybe he has a paper cut lol i doubt it is anything serious i wonder to myself if Reid makes the cut.

  4. baylinorcrush says:

No big problem here, like TRB says, guys like Jamal Williams can take time off, kind of like Favre, they don’t need reps at the position, they know what they are doing, specially the NT position, it’s not rocket science. Resting the body as much as possible for regular season is much more important to guys like them than busting chops at TC, they only have so many plays to offer in a season they might as well save them for the real games, age will do that to you, specially when you are a big guy like Jamal, can’t wait to see his stuff in regular season though, what an upgrade over last year.

Woody attended yesterday’s first rookie TC practice and he doesn’t like the chances of our two 7th rounders, here is what he says, and keep in mind he has attended every TC since 1974 I believe, so he knows a thing or to more about draftees than most of us do:

Over the years the NFL draft has lasted (interminably) 17 rounds, 12 and, finally, seven, and the Broncos have chosen some choice players in the seventh — Tom Nalen, Luke Prestridge, Byron Chamberlain, Peyton Hillis, Trey Teague, Clarence Kay, Keith Burns and future Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe. These two seventh-rounders aren’t among them. Thompson was named first-team all-Pac 10 at Cal last year, and Kirlew was second-team all-Big Ten at Indiana. But Thompson doesn’t have the size, speed or attitude for the Broncos, and Kirlew doesn’t have the lateral quickness or the natural athletic ability to be on this man’s roster. They’ll end up like last year’s seventh, Blake Schlueter. He was cut.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of a website or something that I could purchase to watch the bronco games from. I live in wisconsin and my cable provider isn’t offering any kind of football package as of now. If anyone knows of anything that I could steam off of that would be great. Thanks

  7. baylinorcrush says:

Superior, I live out of state and I have checked some of these sites, the free ones from what I hear are worthless since they maybe won’t show the game you want to see, or they might start it a quarter late or cut off after the half etc… Maybe the paying ones work better I don’t know, but they are expensive, if you don’t have direct TV, you are out of the loop TV wise, I used to get it years ago but it has gotten way to expensive, their special for the NFL season ends Saturday and it’s $315.00!!! So for a few years now I’ve gone to sports bar, much cheaper that way plus I get a few drinks along with it, If you’re not of drinking age, they have many sports places with full fledge restaurants where you can be underaged, have a burger and a coke and enjoy every NFL game, plus you get to watch it with fellow Bronco fans since they are everywhere throughout the country, just like Steeler fans. You might even make friends there, just like I have, last year a Bronco watching buddy of mine gave me an autographed 8×10 pic of Rod Smith! Either way good luck and enjoy your Bronco season.

I was hoping Thompson and Kirlew made the cut,oh well it is what it is,I guess.

  9. baylinorcrush says:

To find out your options, type in “NFL games feed” on your search engine like Google, you’ll get all the info you need.

  10. BeastFromEast92 says:

I hear ya Bay,I also used to get The NFL Sunday Ticket, but no more, way to damn expensive!!

  11. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Does TC start today???

  12. BeastFromEast92 says:

Sorry been busy, makes it hard to keep up.

  13. baylinorcrush says:

Hey, good to see you here BFE, it’s just Woody’s opinion, who knows but I bet he knows a thing ot two about the chances of draftees since he has seen over 350 of them in TC over the years he says.

  14. baylinorcrush says:

No, it already started yesterday for the rookies, and the entire team TC starts Sunday AM.

  15. baylinorcrush says:

To get you up to speed, everyone is signed except for Tebow and Thomas, and Klis says there is a chance both could be signed today in time for the 11:30 am practice.

  16. jjluvsdabroncos says:

I really wish Tebow and Thomas would sign! As far as J Williams…he’s alright…he’s just taking it easy! Much love for the Broncos!

  17. SuperiorBroncoFan says:

Thanks bay, I just wasn’t sure if the NFL had something like MLB has. I bought MLB.tv for the baseball season and it was only $99. So I was hoping that the NFL had something like that too. I hook my computer up to my big screen and it works great…and much cheaper than buying the MLB package through my cable company. But Ill do a little research on it. Thanks again.

  18. baylinorcrush says:

Unfortunately the NFL has given exclusivity rights to Direct TV for the NFL package (other than Network TV games), so Direct TV can squeeze us as hard as they want.

  19. baylinorcrush says:

The Raiders are not wasting anytime, they already signed their top ten pick Rolando McClain, the guy many of us coveted:

Raiders first-round pick Rolando McClain signed a 5-year, $40 million contract that includes $23 million guaranteed.

If #8 pick signs, we should be able to get #22 and #25 done, don’t you think.

  20. florio's_mom says:

Woody gave zero hope for the 7th round rookies. Lol

Hello there Bronco guys/gals :) Happy Thursday to all!

Hey Bay, I 100% agree with you on the game day watching agenda. I live in north eastern Illinois. There are 2 towns here seperated by the Rock River. At any rate this one particular bar has done it right. Here’s the deal.

The owner puts out every Sunday a HUGE turkey roaster of Chilie for free. He has about 8 or 9 medium sized flat screens and 1 big a$$ flat screen in the middle of the bar for the locals (here it’s usually the bears game) At any rate the owner will put any game you want on any t.v. for you. He also has a small grill going with deep fryer (for fries) that the cook will whip up the areas best cheeseburgers! They’ll make chicken breast, and/or philly sandwiches with a huge basket of fries for $5…..grab a drink, lunch and you’re set.

The cool thing about this place is everyone has their own agenda. You’ll be watching the Broncos and some Eagles fan will throw out some trash talking. Then the Dallas fans hears it and seeings they can’t stand philly fans they get involved too :) Bears fans vs. Packer fans, Broncos vs. Raiders it’s a lot of fun and the trash talking is totally done in respectful manners! It’s a blast!

Just this morning, I told my 7 year old he could go with me. My wife was like “….uh no!” I said why not, there’s other kids in there with their dads grabbing a burger and pop watching a game. She didn’t realize it has become such a father/son type atmosphere!

I know this is lengthy it’s just getting close and I’m getting EXCITED! Last year there was only 1 dad that brought his kid down there. They don’t stay very long usually gone by halftime. What’s funny about this is out of all the people in this bar, I’m definately the loudest and yes some profanity usually gets tossed out there. I’ve been doing this for several years so everyone knows this. What they’ll do is say something stupid during a game that they KNOW will get my blood boiling. However, they know I will respond peacefully because there’s a kid in the bar. It’s a sick strategic plan they have going. They’ll make a comment and then say “….WAIT OZ! careful there’s a kid in here!” Not fair at all…..my response is usully “Tell ya what, after halftime when the kid leaves, we’ll revisit your point of view!”

Sorry this was long, can’t wait for what I believe is going to be a great, exciting new chapter of Broncos football. Wins and losses will be decided on the field but what I honestly believe is the greatest thing about being a Bronco fan now is I can see the vision JMac is striving for!

Coach, good luck this season and go get what you came here to achieve!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  22. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, you make me want to go down to Shooters, my sports bar and watch a Bronco game with my Bronco buddies right now.

  23. baylinorcrush says:

And it is just reported that Tebow and Thomas just missed their second practice this morning, signed already and get on with it.

  24. Bronco-blaze says:

Rofl Haynesworth failed his conditioning test. Get em shanny get em!! Also i have been folowing the browns, and they are not even crediting Hillis at all..This makes me so angry! I can not wait till Hillis has a break out game or season to help them out. As for Tony..I dont know how i feel about him any more =-( lol

  25. mikew007 says:

    SuperiorBronco….

If you can handle waiting till after the game is over…NFL.Com has GAMEREWIND and you can watch the entire game on your computer. I watched everygame this way last year and it worked great…cost was like 49.00 for the season.

  26. marshisboss says:

Bay I hope you did’nt just put the S on the front of the bar name there to throw us off lol. I think we have done a great job of signing our players so far the Raiders usually get there picks signed early. Sometimes signing depends on the agent not just the GM but so far he has done a great job and i think he will continue to do well.

  27. baylinorcrush says:

Funny, boss, no, Shooters it is (for pool), believe it or not I don’t mix women with my football, there is a time for everything and Bronco time on game day is sacred to me, even women have to wait on that one, even Hooter girls, LOL.

  28. May25 says:

I’m sorry but no rookie deserves $40 mill. That’s ridiculous
