On Wednesday night, Demaryius Thomas’ 80-yard touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers won the “Best Moment” honor at the 2012 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.
The winning moment came on the first play of overtime. Thomas caught a pass from quarterback Tim Tebow, stiff-armed Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor and sprinted upfield for an 80-yard, game-winning touchdown.
Tebow and Thomas both took the stage to accept the award. Other nominees included Bubba Watson’s win in a playoff in the Masters, the Tampa Bay Rays making the playoffs on the last day of the season and Derek Jeter’s quest for his 3,000th hit.
Thomas’ helmet from the Wild Card playoff game is currently in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Relive the game-winning play here.

nfl.com is reporting that the Broncos have 11.719 million left in cap room for this season. I can’t see Os and Hillman’s contracts eating up a ton of that this season so there’s still some wiggle room to use if needed.
Good news Kod.
Hey Strand! Hope you’re having a great day bud!
I am Kod. I`m kind of bored at the moment, but I`ll be getting busy as the day progresses.
That’s right strand… TnT dynomite!!!! Too bad we only had one of those great moments between Tebow n Thomas, but it was a great one!!!
Hope there’s plenty more in store with Manning n Thomas !!
At the Espys, Rob Riggle had TT come out for a little schtick……..and after he said, “Tebow’s been shadowing me all week…….get used to it Sanchez.” lol Thought that was pretty funny. Riggle had a lot of pretty good rips at players.
This could absolutely kill us next yr, if, Manning is healthy come march, after the season. He could possibly eat up 40 mil, in , salary cap WOW.

Hey miller………..I don’t think that 40 million guaranteed would all be put towards the cap for next year. Now, I could be totally wrong………it just means the guarantee kicks in.
AB………..where ya at? You’re the expert on all things cap related. Input?
With how Mannings contract is, if he passes it will be 40 mil against the cap over two years. So only 20 mil next year and 20 the following. Which with the increase in cap the 2 mil isnt all that big.
After Hilman and Os are signed and before any cuts we will be about 8 mil give or take under the cap. After cuts we may have around 15-20 mil maybe higher if a big contract gets cut (which I doubt)
Goodafternoon Bronco Country!!!
I’ve been busy with work and tending to a large garden…did not realize how fast weeds can grow without water even faster with. Not able to check in as much as i would like but thought id say a quick hello to all my Bronco Brothers and Sisters out there.
Hey Strand, RB, Kod, Miller and AB looks like we may need to spend some of that cap money on a linebacker. Waiting to see what happens there when the dust settles.
While I agree we need a more proven LB help instead of all the young LBs we have. (A lot of CFAs from this year) we are at the 90 man roster limit and till camp I dont see any cuts.
Also on draft news (Supplementary) Only one player was taken. Josh Gordon WR from Baylor went in the 2nd round to the Browns. They now forfeit 2013 2nd round draft pick. Denver passed on Lumpkin which many thought we should do.
Hey, AB , is their any FA Linebackers out their, or , maybe we could trade maybe a 5th or 6th next yr, for, a proven backup from another team. Thats cool that, its only going to cost us an extra 2 mil if peyton passes physical, and, if he doesnt it will save us 20 mil.
It was great to see our Broncos well represented in the ESPY’s last night, it certainly made me a proud Broncos fan! I think we will be even more represented next year, and I bet Peyton wins the come back player of the year!
I’m glad DT’s stiff-arm touchdown won, but I thought it was a little lame for Tebow to start out saying that DT didn’t want to talk. I personally thought that wasn’t cool on Tebow’s part. Even if DT told Tebow that, Tebow should not have thrown him under the bus IMO. DT is obviously a very shy kid, who is not that well spoken, and I completely understand his reluctance to speak on a live award show. I understand that DT was quoted as saying negative comments about Tebow, but Tebow more than anyone should understand how unrelenting the media is, and how hard they try to bait you into saying the wrong thing to make headlines. And even if those comments were not media fabricated, isn’t it Christian to forgive and not hold a grudge? It was almost like Tebow wanted to explain why only he was talking to protect himself, rather than protect DT, and it came off selfish to me… It could have done in a more subtle way IMO.
New blog.
And without Demaryius Thomas going beast mode with that stiff-arm, it would have been just any other 20-30 yard pass….
Amen OT!!!
Hope Thomas has a big year with Manning at QB.
