When Demaryius Thomas caught Tim Tebow’s pass in overtime against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he sprinted for an 80-yard touchdown to cement one of the most memorable playoff wins in Broncos history.
Now the helmet Thomas wore during the game — and the rest of the 2011 season — is part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s collection in Canton, Ohio.
The helmet, commemorating Thomas’ performance in the game, is currently displayed in the museum’s Pro Football Today gallery.

Woody had an article late last night about Quinn and the GQ thing. An article I tend to agree with. Nothing new. Just saying the comments hide how classy he is.
I was hard on him after hearing the comments mostly because I was dissapointed. The man got a raw deal when he was sent here to compete supposedly and then a 1st round QB was added (apparently McD wanted to get rid of Orton but was convinced otherwise … go figure). I can see how cuts from an entire interview can sound bad and its not like he knew what the title of the article would be when he was interviewed. While Orton was pouing and looking like a jerk on the sidelines, Quinn was with Tebow being supportive, man never complained even tho when QB convos came up it was always Orton and Tebow. He was invisible, never stood a chance (not like he made the best of it in his preseason chances). Hope he gets a chance with a team ala Alex Smith who was supposedly a bust as well. Doubt it tho, athletic guy, great shape just never really anything special about him.

Anyone catch sports science on ESPN last night? The #1 play of the year for Broncos that warranted DT’s helmet going to the HOF as #2 play of the year for them. (Bengals WR Simpson flip was #1).
It was mentioned that after the stiff arm, DT hit full speed and was at about 20.45 mph on his way for the big score!! Now that’s motoring….
Read the article by Woody this morning – good article. Nothing against Quinn myself, just a player who has underachieved. Hope he gets’ a break somewhere before his career is over. Met him last season for Lions game. He stopped to sign my wife’s Broncos totebag in his way into stadium. Very coordial.
TRB – I see walterfootball now has your man Devon Still falling to #25 pick for Broncos.
RBF1, woooooo. I need to check the site more. They change alot. Still has been my hope from day one. He just seemed too good to fall that low. If he does Ill be excited. I see alot of CBs coming off the board early before us. Which is why a guy like Carr in FA would make sense. No growing pains. Young and experienced enough (same goes for the safety position).
Thx for the update. Glad to see Still is the selection now. Truly a physical specimen, got height, wingspan and size and is a great inside rusher … only DT I would take over him is Brockers but Brockers will be long gone.
TRB
We will see tho RBF1 … if he kicks but this week in the combine he may be long gone. ive seen him going from as high as top 12 to us at 25. TRB
Agree with you on Carr, TRB. Would be a nice p/u in F/A.
Hope Broncos have a shot at Devon Still. Didn’t realize he’s 6’5″. They have Brockers rated #1 DT, Still #2, and Worthy #3 for now.
I wonder what day the DT’s will workout at combine?
They still have us taking RB Martin in 2nd rd, and now CB from Vandy in 3rd round.
I still(no pun intended) think we need to draft Jerel Worthy. He just a ferocius player. His stats dont tell it all about him. He affects so many plays by getting in the backfield almost immediately! Just because he doesnt make the tackle doesnt make it not a good play because players like Worthy and our own Von Miller can affect the game with pure pressence. We need someone to get in the backfield and hit the ballcarrier as he is taking the hand off. Bunkley is quite capable himself but with Worthy lining up next to him opposing teams will never be able to double team him on run plays. If they did the rookie would be in thier backfield all day long.
I also hope we get rid of Ball and keep Moreno. We still need to draft a RB in the first 2 rounds but i would much rather have Moreno than Ball. Lance Ball is a little below average at best. The guy needs to play in a semi-pro league but not the NFL. Moreno actually has some excitement to his game.
The 2 running backs i would like to see us take a long, hard look at are Doug Martin, Boise St, and Lamichael James, Orengon. Either one of those 2 would be a huge improvement over Ball and a potintial succesor to Mcgahee.
Here’s what they have on CB Hayward from Vandy. They have him rate at #9 CB.
Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt
Height: 5-11. Weight: 188.
Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
Hayward was a pure ballhawk to start the year, snatching four interceptions in four games. After that, he cooled off but had solid coverage all season. Against Arkansas, Hayward dropped three interceptions and totaled six passes broken up. For 2011, he has five interceptions, 54 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss and nine passes broken up. Hayward has enough size and ball skills to fit any NFL defense. He also is aggressive defending the run. Hayward could be an underrated prospect who will reward the team that drafts him.
Casey Hayward had a massive 2010 season where he recorded six interceptions and 17 passes defended. He was second in the nation in pass break-ups and was an All-SEC second-team selection. Hayward also is a good run defender and finished with 70 tackles on the season. As a sophomore, he had 58 tackles with 8.5 tackles for a loss and seven passes defensed. Hayward has quality size and the very good ball skills needed to be a starting corner in the NFL

Doug Martin looks like he would be a good fit. Low center of gravity, and can hit hole with speed and power.
Much in the same mold as Ray Rice or Maurice Jones Drew who are 5’8″ and 5’7″.
Martin is 5’9″ and listed a little heavier at 215 lbs.
Brady Quinn was deceived by the McDaniels staff when he was brought in to “compete” with KO. So were we the fans. Not to say that we would have lit it up with Quinn, but if he would have been given a chance to compete with KO without the Tebow controversy I think we might have been a playoff team under McDaniels in year 2. Instead we drafted Tebow and DT in the first round and neither of them really saw a lot of action as a rookie. That’s why this seasons success doesn’t really come as that much of a surprise to me. With Tebow, DT, and Decker starting this year and then Von Miller, Orlando Franklin, Rahim Moore, Quinton Carter, and Chris Harris this year it was like two draft classes at once.
I forgot to mention Beadles and Walton from last year also.
I’m not completely sold with Beadles at guard and Walton at center. I still want to give them both a little more time before we make a big decision to draft replacements because we could really use our draft picks this year to build elsewhere. If we resign Ryan Harris it would add depth and flexability to the O-line. Potentially start Harris at RT to upgrade pass protection on Tebow’s blindside. Move Orlando Franklin to LG to upgrade the run game on Tebow’s strong side. Slide Kuper inside to center to upgrade pass and run protection in the middle. Let Walton and Beadles battle it out for the last starting spot on the line at RG. The backup then could play at any interior offensive line position needed. Franklin can back up Ryan Harris for when his back starts hurting again. We definately need to sign a sixth quality O-lineman and I really like the idea of bringing back Ryan Harris.
With respect to your post ec, I think Coach Magazu did one heck of a job with the O-line this year. Good enough to be rated the #1 rushing attack in the league. It’s true, Walton and Beadles struggled at times but so did Clady and Franklin. Kuper was the stud on the line.
The O-line is pretty young overall and I see nothing but upside for them. Not much tweaking…only need to draft for depth at this time.
Thanks for the info RBF1. Yea He is really tall man. He is good for batting down passes. Really hope he falls, like u said he is number 2.
EC, I agree on Walton and beadles. For one I knew beadles would be an issue because he was a reach in the 2nd round. They both can still be good but walton is the clear weak link to me. Which is a problem as the center. I mean trying to compare him to the rookie pro bowler pouncey is like comparing night and day. Walton needs alot of help, if not we will be drafting a real center soon and he will just be good depth.

Here you go royalt19 – Don Banks from SI posted his mock draft and has the Broncos selecting Jerel Worthy DT at #25 selection.
BTW he does have the Steelers taking Devon Still at #24 selection.
This is what Banks has to say:
“The Broncos should have their choice of several interior defensive linemen who represent immediate upgrades: Worthy, Mississippi State’s Fletcher Cox, or Washington’s Alameda Ta’amu. Worthy, a playmaking junior who is rapidly gaining fans in the NFL, is, well, worthy at No. 25.”
Morning Royal, I bet the Broncos do go and get a DT with their #25 pick, but which one, many to choose from. Take your pick.
I was reading the Banks mock… I can’t hardly imagine passing on Hightower if he is available at 25… Such a tough call…
We all know we need BEEF! but if Hightower has a good showing at the Combine in the agility portion it would be really tough to leave him… Don’t get me wrong, Worthy would be a GREAT addition! They are choices b and c in round one on my board, so either is good with me! Kirkpatrick of course being 1a…
No prob TRB… do you know by chance when DT’s workout at combine?
I’ve read there’s questions re: Hightowers’ speed and being able to get to the perimeter in 4-3 defense. Sounds like he’d be more suitable for ILB in 3-4. Will have to see what draftologist Mike Mayock has to say.
Morning strand… how goes it today?
He said that he needs to have a good showing in the agility portion of the combine to improve his stock…
He did a good article that was on NFL.com that has the top 5 position players at each position going into the combine and includes a sleeper…
Hightower reminds me a little of Al Wilson…
sorry for the redundancy… *position players for each postition… WTF Turtle…?
Royal, I aplogize about last night talking music so much. You asked a question about getting back to football, and then you signed off moments later. I`m a slow typer. So once again, sorry about last night. I hope you were not offended, it was unintentional. Be blessed!
Its a good day today. HaHa!!
I really hope our main Defensive line additions come from FA in the Forms of
1. Williams
2. Campbell
3. Haynesworth
I think that upgrades our entire line across the board… and allows for a solid 8 player Rotation just like we had in the Superbowl days provided we resign Bunk and Thomas…
ITS THE TURTLE!!
Crimson Tide definitely loaded with top of the crop players.
Will be interesting to see their workouts.
Hey Turtle, I got something I want to tell ya!
