November 13th, 2011 - 2:16pm by Kenny Legan

The third quarter has come to a close, with Denver still leading Kansas City 10-7.

The Chiefs totaled the game’s only score in the quarter, when Cassel hit fullback Le’Ron McClain on a 1-yard play-action touchdown pass on Kansas City’s opening drive. However, Denver’s defense was able to keep the Chiefs away from the red zone the rest of the quarter.

On the offensive side, the Broncos continued to pound the rock. Denver now has 208 rushing yards on the day, and Tim Tebow completed his first pass, a 13-yard throw to receiver Matt Willis.

The Chiefs open up the fourth quarter with second-and-6 on their own 14-yard line.
