The day after Christmas started cold and rainy, but it cleared up and warmed up for the Broncos to practice and put the final touches on their preparation for the trip to San Diego.
A NEW TOP RIVALRY?
With the intensity heating up between the Broncos and Chargers, it’s fair to ask if this rivalry has become the biggest one for the Broncos, jumping ahead of the long-lasting rivalry with the Raiders.
Head Coach Mike Shanahan was asked that question after Friday’s practice.
“I think so,” Shanahan said. “I think any time a team is playing well and they’ve won the division a couple years, I think there’s always that anticipation about playing a good team, especially at their place for all the marbles. Obviously a lot goes into it.”
Jamie Winborn weighed in on that as well, saying that all the heat has definitely been turned up on Broncos-Chargers games.
But no matter how intense the rivalry may be, it all comes down to how they play on the field, and when they take the field Sunday, the end result will send the winner to the playoffs.
“They were a good team when we beat them the first time, they’ll be a good team this time also. They’re the same team, man, we’re the same team – it’s all about who plays the best on that day. We just know we’ve got a job ahead of us,” Winborn said. “But we’ve been focused this week and we’re ready to play.”
INJURY REPORT
Shanahan gave a status update after practice, saying that everyone participated fully, and everyone on the official report is listed as probable.
“Everybody’s ready to go — full speed.”
And he took a minute to address the running back position in particular.
“Everybody practiced, and hopefully there are no setbacks. Nobody’s allowed to walk past the running backs room. (It’s a) danger zone,” Shanahan said with a smile.
For the Chargers, linebacker Brandon Siler and wide receiver Malcolm Floyd are doubtful. Defensive tackle Jamal Williams and linebacker Anthony Waters are probable.

GO BRONCOS
Here’s to one heck of a season Broncos. Thank you to all the players on this team you gave us all you got and hopefully a little bit more.
Tick ….Tock….Tick..Tock….All the bolts wanted for christmas was a shot at the Broncos-Ever heard the term be careful what you wish for..cuz now you gonna get it!!!!Tick….tock..Rivers is so busy running his mouth once again..should be watching film, learning the game plan.insted he and other team mates are calling Cutler a Punk…I say thank you, fuel us up,well what can you say but the entire bolts franchise is scared of Jay scared of B-Marsh and for shure scared of champ(regardless of what Rivers says)! AND RIVERS Champ got voted in for what the 9th time and can’t go (he missed to much of the season) Anyone heard Champ say one word about that ? That is the difference between a perineal P.B. and a Rivers type of player. And you may sway your team and fans with name calling and your child like actions but come voting time next year evryone will show you once again P.B.=CLASS and you have been wighed and measured and found to be soarely lacking!!!!!TICK…TOCK Rivers Tick…Tock!! so now thats off my chest To all in the media who say we dont have a chance ..what…We put up over 450 yards on that sorry D-fence and call or no call we won ! And if the refs dont go out to make up for a so calld bad call we will do it again!!!!!And for all who say we need to pressure Rivers in oreder to win Look at his face hes already pressured!!If he loses hes Toast in S.D. win or lose we will be at Jays back all the way!!(and no one expects Jay to win except the Denver Fanatics so no presuure on him!)So lastly but most importantTick….. tock Bolts!!!!!!!! WE READY!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!
I to must say that I was wrong, I have said that we need to trade Jay Cutler, I did not mean that, I was just so mad at him, I am sorry Jay and to all Broncos fans,
I am a huge Denver Bronco Fan I have been a Broncos fan since I was 10 years old I am now 50, I have always lived here in Detroit, I have never been to Denver in my life, the only people that I know in Denver is the people who post these blogs that I read on this site.
The Broncos was the first football team that I watched on TV and I have been a fan from that day, but of all the games that I have watched, I want this victory more than any other game, and we will win, just look at this as our first play off game,
1ARABIANKNIGHT, AMEN!
I am disappointed that we couldn’t get it done when we had the chances… But what more could we ask for than one more chance to win our way in to the playoffs. Go Broncos
Jay,
Go through your reads. Just because the play may call for number 15 doesn’t mean you HAVE to find him. Too many times I have seen you throw to Marshall when he is in double, sometimes triple coverage. Meanwhile, Royal and Stokley are all alone. Bro, there have been a few times where I felt like I could go in and do the same thing. Only I would do it for alot less money. Play up to the level of your income! There are alot of poor people who are angry that they can’t get paid for doing the same thing!!!
Defense. Guys, you can’t go for the fancy knockdown tackles. You gotta wrap up on first contact. Too many running backs slide right off you. Carry out your assignments and wrap up.
Shanahan, give the two red flags to the assistant coach. You have terrible judgement are far too desparate to use those.
Scheffler’s going to have a huge game!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
Hey broncosfanatic4, Nice post! Your right boooooo to me too. I was there. I remember watching a terrable TEAM before Craig Morton came and loved every minute of it. Why have we become so spoiled? Why do we demand so much? Why do we feal so empowered to expect so much? I really don’t know why but we do. I remember winning only two games one year and everybody around me said how bad The Denver Broncos and John Elway were and I never lost the Faith then, whats happened? I don’t know what it is but it has to change. Starting NOW!
Denwu I will be channeling my thought’s strait to you! GO BRONCOS! ! !
Photohound Ya I know I just really did’nt know who to ask so it’s the same question to all the O Coaches and if The Broncos don’t start a FB just take the RB out of the game, add a reciever, and put B.Marshall in the back field. Talk about a miss match a Line Backer on Marshall?!
BroncosOrdie0730 I’m secretly hoping Royal get’s 100 yrds. to.
07elway keep the Novels coming. If anyone were to look up Denver Broncos Fan in the dictionary(if they still print them) they should find a picture of you!
And of course bucknBronco TIME OF POSSESSION would’nt hurt.
TIME OF POSSESSION! ! !
GO BRONCOS! ! !
God will be there to help us win!!!!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!
i dont have much to say leading up to this game, i cant wait.. how great would it be to kick their asses 41-7, see Rivers cry and LT and Phyllis have another break up scene.. i cant wait to watch Marshall and Royal blow up the leagues worse pass defence and the leagues worst bunch of cry babies
1ArabianKnight:
I want to apologize up front if this sounds harsh. I am trying to say this in a respectful way, but I feel like I have to say it. I have read a lot of your responses lately, and I just can’t sit back and listen to it anymore.
I appreciate your faith in God, but as a Christian I have to say that you seem a little out of touch with God’s will as revealed to us in His Word. I realize God is everywhere, but do you really think God is a Broncos fan? Do you really think he will cause us to win? What about all the Chargers fan’s prayers?
It drives me nuts seeing some of these players each week point up to God when they score a touchdown. I don’t hear Terrel Owens praise God in defeat or when he has a horrible game. Instead he attacks his teammates. Why don’t players point up when they drop a pass or throw a TD? God may have blessed many people to play this game, but I’m willing to bet His purpose is not for these guys to gain fame. As overpaid athletes, these guys could do so much for people in need. Not only that, they could also use their position to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. God’s will is for everyone to know Him and seek Him. So I don’t think God cares about the final score of this game. He cares about the players, and wishes that each one of them would seek Him like He always seeks us. I’m not saying that every player that points to God is out of touch, but I think it is a poor decision to say God was the reason you won the game.
God is good but His will goes far beyond this silly game. Don’t get me wrong, I love football and the Broncos. However, pretty much everything in this world is more important than the outcome of this game. I’m guilty of occassionally obsessing over the Broncos too, but I am aware of this. Nothing is wrong with loving football, but an unhealthy obsession is not good. I see you pulling out some random scripture that doesn’t even apply to this situation, but you are really taking God’s Words out of context. God is with us always and never leaves, but that doesn’t mean he is keeping us on strings like puppets. Ever heard of free will because God allows us to make free will decisions in every area of our life. He allows us to suffer for our poor choices. In the same way, he allows us to choose Him or death, but He doesn’t force anyone into any decision. If God believes free will is so important that he would allow our most important decision in life (our salvation) to be our choice, why do you think he would influence the outcome of this game because our fan’s pray for it. If this is what you are praying for, then I hope you will examine your heart and your priorities. Please, Please, Please do not contribute to the misconceptions of Christianity. Remember the gospel of Jesus Christ and focus on that. Please do not make the message something it isn’t.
IT DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS, PLAYING THE CHARGERS FOR THE CROWN AND 2 LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY, DENVER HAS SUPRISED ME A LOT THIS SEASON, BUT WHAT I REALLY WANT TO SEE IS THE OPPOSITE OF ANYONE EXPECTS, I WANT TO SEE DENVER DISMANTLE THE CHARGERS, I WANT TO HEAR A QUIET SAN DIEGO, EVERYONE IN OUR TEAM IS READY TO GO FOR THIS GAME SO WHY NOT, DO U BELIEVE?? I DO!!! I BLEED ORANGE & BLUE, GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
Wow, don’t know what made some of you suddenly be nice to me but I’ll take it and I appreciate it. Consider me flattered, I guess.
royalbroncofan1 – no problem (referring to keeping most of us/yourself in check this season) as you put it. I completely understand everyone wanting to vent their frustration… I just don’t see how some people can bash this team & call it venting their frustration, there’s a big difference. Its not like I don’t get angry or mad or completely ticked off when we lose games we should win like the one in week 4 at KC or at home against Oakland. I do get angry when that stuff happens but I know there will always be a brighter side to it all at some point. I guess I always make it a point after a loss to just see the brighter side… we won’t be this mediocre team forever but I couldn’t tell you when it would end, so like I always say… keep the faith and have faith.
monodono – I’ll never stop my novels… its my trademark on here.
And thanks for the compliment… I’d love to be in the dictionary!!haha
I love your blogs, keep ‘em coming!!
And I can’t help but getting involved in this, so here goes nothing.
1ArabianKnight & rustycletis – both of you have made reasonable and truthful comments. As rustycletis said, I don’t want to come off disrespectful either. God IS everywhere. God has a reason for everything… I’m not necessarily saying He’s the reason why as a team we win or lose but those choices are left up to the players/people. But God has a play in every part of life… even something as silly and simple as a football game as some might think. God cares more about the people, that is true. And as for the comment rustycletis made about when some players point up to God after scoring a TD… there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, I actually wish more players did that but only if they mean it. I see why players do that… they believe in Him, have faith in Him and so as faithful believers they are giving Him the glory for something even as simple as a touchdown. We are supposed to give God all the glory for all that we do, even when we think that we alone made something happen… we could have never done something without God being involved. God is the reason for everything and He has a reason for everything. Bottom line to this… I’m glad that some players point up to God after scoring a touchdown because they’re giving Him the glory and not taking it all for themselves. There could be alot more other players that believe in Him but are either embarrassed to publicly give Him the credit or they don’t feel comfortable with it. I’m glad that some players are strong enough in their faith to publicly acknowledge God as the reason for everything and give Him the glory for what happened… not necessarily giving Him the glory for winning the game. As a fellow Christian, I can completely understand where you (rustycletis) are coming from. Alot of what you said is completely true and accurate.
And I’m not trying to make a joke of all this, I take my faith very seriously but in the response to “Is God a Bronco fan?”… does He really care? This is just to put a smile on everyone’s face around here. I have a bumper sticker in my room and this is what it says:
“If God’s not a Bronco fan, why are sunsets orange?”
God cares about the players more than the game but that doesn’t mean He doesn’t care if we win or lose. I really don’t have an answer to that… He’s got bigger fish to fry out there in the world but that doesn’t mean He’s too big to care whether we win or lose a game.
Sorry, this turned out to be so long, I write novels around here, didn’t you hear?
Have faith Broncos Country…
GO BRONCOS!!!
we are capable of winning this game we just need woodyard to play more he is a play maker i know he is no dj williams
posted at 6:50 pm on December 28th, 2008 on The San Diego CHARGER’S BLOG:
Greetings So-Cal-ifornians,
Although I am in California, I am not from here.
But now that I am, I thought I would take this time to respond to: “#1BOLTFAN” who seems to think its cool coming on our Blog(Denver) to talk trash.
Thanks for being the “X-Factor Jinx to your Organization”….How so you say, allow me to explain: I predicted, along with Mark Schlereth (ESPN), that it would come down to You(SD) and Us(Denver) for the Crown. Now that you’ve drawn ‘first blood’ as an organization of fans, or ‘fans who think they are the organization’, I just wanted ALL THE SANDIEGANS THAT ARE BOLTS FANS TO KNOW WHERE TO PLACE THE BLAME ON FOR SUNDAYS TRIUMPHANT VICTORY OVER SD.
Look no further than #1boltsfan for sticking his head out too far, and for opening his mouth where a boot should go, and trying to curse or “jinx’ our team by doing so.
You see, My team has an “Anointing” on them and our Destiny in Football for the next few years is already written, for which you shall sadly see ‘come to pass’ in the upcoming years, and will hate me for it. Although this won’t make sense to you, (like Jesus’ resurrection), until after we are exalted from your field of battle, nonetheless, for your “woeful pleasure” I will enlighten you. Do you remember Mcree? He is but one of the reason why your jinx will ‘bounce off us and now curse you’, and Yours Truly have now Sealed it with this Blog.
This will be my one and only Blog to “Whom it May Concern” in the Bolts-Blog-Nation. I am the lone Knight who Defends the Honor of the Symbol of the Most High, or Mile -High if you will.
Some say God doesn’t watch Football, ….maybe…maybe not! But I know for a FACT he Answers to the Hearts of Men, (even in Sports).
Come Sunday December 29th, You ALL will know where Our Hearts Stand, and Who STANDS FOR US!!
Although you bear the symbol of His Power, we bear the symbol of the steed of He Who sits at His Right Hand with THAT POWER!
Lest we remind you:
“Not by Might, Nor by Power, but By My Spirit..”
-The Spirit of Mile High-
Therefor we will do no “trash talking”, but like Joshua at Jericho, Our Hearts and Faith will resound like trumpets, and your Walls of Pride….shall Crumble!
I will offer no score, although that is the title of this Blog, but the victory numbers you have posted will be so for Denver, NOT YOU!
We will now leave our ‘talking to be in action’, not with wasted words!!!
Go Offense, Go Defense, Go Special Teams…Claim your Crown, for it has been Given To You!!
AS IT IS NOW WRITTEN, ….by my Honor, SO SHALL IT NOW BE DONE!!!
-1ArabianKnight
Hate me all you want, but leave my fellow fans Alone!
To Rustycletis,
I take no offense for the truth I speak, therefor I have no quarrel with you. I AM VERY MUCH ‘INTOUCH WITH THESE END TIMES’, and it is for the people (perhaps not yourself) that lose hope easily that something profound needs to be said and heard. I’m just not afraid to express it!
Like 07Elway said, maybe more of us should!
My character is Noble, hence the title Knight, and so by it I remain.
I speak the Truth as I see it, although I cannot change the way others see it, nor do I seek to.
I will, however, speak truth to whatever end, as is my Noble position to do so!
Sometime we have to “speak things into fruition”.
Can you fault me for doing so Rustycletis? Tell me, where are the lines of Hope drawn, and to what end does a mission become fulfilled? Can you answer that?
If you cannot, suffer me no more for my Faith in- the Mile High Spirit, or should I say, for His Spirit that Dwells a MILE HIGH.
Perhaps it was just coincidence all of Elways’ 4thQ comebacks….or maybe, just maybe he was meant to go down in History so such a recognition could be referenced by Us today.
I know the truth to why, perhaps that is now for you to ponder and Waiver!
Consider all the freak injuries, for what reason? Perhaps to show that a “Way can come out of seemingly NO WAY”.
Thankyou 07Elway for your position. Thanks for your constant example of showing how “Faith” is relevant, even in a “silly game” as some say, and for being that positive spark of hope. You have my Respect!
No God doesn’t care about football but he cares about the Broncos being better people than the Chargers are and their character will be instrumental in sending Philip Cry Me A Rivers and his loser fans to defeat. Of course, judging by character, Phil Rivers will be in hell one day and he’ll be Bill Belid______ick’s roommate.
Chad Jackson’s hair is awesome. Broncos 35, Chargers 24.
no need to “Prepare for the last game of the season” as some1 said i mean theres a difference between being a realist and pesamist and thats pushin pesamism (If i spelled something wrong its ok im not very good with words) im glad ur gunna be cheering but that statement means ur ruling them out i mean i give the chargers props they have a chance but hey our D stepped up against tougher RB’s than LT this year and We have Champ back. ok so that gives a boost on D. plussi think we found a couple safties, a lil late bout we got’em. DJ’s back, Jamies a Beast and i think Nate will be alright. and then i have no doubt Jay B Marsh and Royal will put up big numbers. and I think were gunna get a good shot at Tatum by himself this week with out to much help from Boyd. and honestly i thought he always did better when he didnt have to split carries whether it was with pj pope, Mike bell, or hillis. backin 05,06? i dunno give me ur feed back. i dont mind critisism.
Broncos 21-10
Jay 325 (2/0)
B Marsh 4 – 105 TD
Royal 10 – 120 TD
Tatum 22 – 115
Champ INT picked for 6
jay- 425yrds 4tds
bell-125yrds rushing 40yards rec 2tds
sheff-100yrds 1td
b-marsh-75yrds 1tds
casino royal-125yrds 1td
b.stok-100yrds 1td
c.bail-8tack 2sacks 1ff 2ints
j.barret 9tack 1ff
e.dumer-5tack 2sacks
d.j. will-8tack 1 sack 1ff 1int
w.wood-5tack
s.lar-3tack 1sack
The only way Tatum gets 22 carries is the O Coaches start a FB and run on first down. Not that I don’t think it can happen I just think the O Coaches are leaning towards the spread O. Believe me I would love nothing more than for Tatum to get 22 carries. I aslo think it will be a much higher scoreing game and B.Marshall will get more receptions. Shootout! Broncos 34 San 21.
TIME OF POSSESSION! ! !
GO BRONCOS! ! !
Usually, I love to see a balanced offense. Today, I expect a lot of passes (don’t forget the TE’s, please!). Our strength plays into the Chargers weakness. Bell is good enough to keep a D honest – he should get some carries (hold on to the ball!). I am still worried about our special teams – kicking and coverage of returns looked pathetic.
And then that defense. Each individual player looks talented enough, but somehow the parts don’t match. I still believe, that Champ and Bly are a great tandem, but Bly only shines against QB’s under pressure. I have seen him pick many not perfectly thrown passes (with Detroit). Rivers has to feel the heat – otherwise he will pick us apart. Say, what you want about his sportsmanship – but he can throw, if he has time. I can’t put my finger on what is wrong with the pass rush. Nothing at all from the tackles. I did not expect sacks from Robertson, but I was hoping, he would free up Thomas (who is fast enough, but sometimes appears to lack sheer strength). What happened to the DE’s? Were they told to stay home a splitsecond longer in order to protect against the run? They look tentative – no matter who is in. By the way – is Crowder officially a bust or is he just not good enough to get past Ekuban and Engelberger?
Go Broncos – show that you kept the best for last!
I had confindence last week. Today I have hope – hope, that the rollercoaster is due for another high!
Seasonal greetings from Germany to all you Broncos fans – no matter what happens tonight.
Well, let’s see. This has gotten to be such a huge game that God, Faith, Rivalry, and everything else has been mentioned. I won’t spill my beliefs all over you guys, but i do think this will prolly be the last blog written before the game. I am worried. There, I said it. Now, I was worried about the KC game in week 4. I was worried at the Jacksonville game. Oh, yeah and the NE game too. Miami gave me the willies, and i was very unsure about the backlash of the embarassment of MNF with the Raiders that I felt an ill wind on the weekend we lost at home. Carolina was a given, and Steve Smith is just an animal. Buffalo was a complete mistake. Now, with all that brought to light, I tell you guys, 13 hours before gametime: One of two teams will show up for the broncos. This 8 and 7 record has been the real window for the national media to look through and no one has given them the opportunity but our boys. Half the games we’ve come out the gate and shown exactly what we can do when we execute with precision. The other half has shown what mind bending mistakes can be made on the field when impulsive decisions are being made….. (JAY), (Defense), (Offensive Coordinator shoing off the ‘prized’ spread offense WAAAAAY too often). Listen guys, about last mont sometime there was a comic in the Rocky Mountain News with a Bronco holding a snowglobe and shaking it up. Inside this snowglobe was you and I. Average Joe Schmo sporting our Blue and Orange sitting in front of the TV…. Screamin at the top of our lungs. Yes, I’ve enjoyed most moments… i.e. Eddie Royal from the 7 yardline making a RIDICULOUS move on the cleveland defender to go 93 yards to spark a glorious 2nd half comeback. Then there was the games that i was just sick to my stomach, but watched every gut-wrenching second. Our 8 and 7 record is very indicative of who we are in the league. A team on the brink, but not gone. Beat up but not beat down. This is going to be a true test of precision, courage, and heart. I’ve prayed. I hear this very eeerie silence when i finished. It’s the same silence i can remember feeling when the season started. All the games were played on Sunday, it was just down to the first night of Monday Night Football. How would our season start? It’s wild to see how fast time has come and gone. It’s Christmas weekend. This is it. Shanny put it the only way you can. “This is for all the Marbles” And on that note, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am ready to see just what you all are….
The Broncos win. See you all in the playoffs!!!
1arabianknight, I have to appreciate where you are coming from, but you do know that you’re a little shot out, don’t ya? You’re very dungeons and dragonesque….keep the faith brotha. as for myself…shame on me too, I have had my doubtful moments this season…but they all dissapear at game time. I know that we can kick the chargers’ asses and we will. Yes it will be a very close game, and we willl probably be behind at some point. Yes, they will keep us all on the edge of our seats, screaming at the t.v. Yes, it will take all of our inner chi being sent to them to take them over the top, and yes we all will have symptoms of having had minor strokes by the end of it. However we will win. Oh, and yes, God IS a Bronos fan-he always backs the underdog. Go Broncos
Why is it that the S.D.,MIN., Fins,Bears even the jets and the like are thought to be such good teams yet Denver is yet again the Rodney Dangerfield of the N.F.L.(no respect!)If Either of mannings, Big Ben or Bret had the injuries that we have entured(I.E. R.B. and safty, linebacker and corners) the press would label them heros to have a shot in the last week of the season,”what heart it has taken to get this far with a primarily second and third string D-Fence and what 7th 0r 8th string running back !”almost any other team would be the media darlings, but not us we are “A disappointment” “no chance” “in need of a new H.c.” The press at large make me sick-Take away the bears,or bolts linebackers and Running backs and what would happen the boys have been warriors each and every week(despite the record) WARRIORS I SAY!!!
The time for talk is over….do or do not there is no try!(yoda)Time to win a game shut alot of mouths and get into the playoffs! nothing else matters!GO BRONCOS!!!!!
Today could be like history repeating itself. Does anyone remember “The Drive”. Denver had their backs to the wall, on the 2 yd line and with some heart and desire drove 98 yds to the End Zone. The rest is history. Those teams were not as nearly as talented on offense as today’s team is, with one exception. ELWAY.
This team today has their backs to the wall. I believe they will remain focused, and driven to run right through SD. I believe that it’s not over till the last seconds tick off of the clock. This is a battle, one with great implications. I am in Las Vegas, and I will be there with this team in spirit from beginning to end. I will cheer so loud, poor out all my emotions for this oh so important victory.
Broncos Nation unite. This will be the mountain these boy’s must climb to become men. This challenge that lies ahead is the most important step to regaining excellence in the Broncos organization. I am so excited for this, there is not any other team I would want to go into battle with. This team has the ability to beat the best, there has just been some obstacles in their way.
Today, a steady dose of a balanced offense attack. Defense, play like your life depends on it. Special teams, please oh please contain the kick returner. Prater kick the ball into the end zone, no chance for returns. Prater, please remain focused on your kicks, you have a strong leg, just visualize the ball going through the uprights before you kick, have no doubts or fears lingering in your head.
TODAY BRONCOS IS YOUR DAY!!!! TODAY IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHOW THE NATION WHO YOU REALLY ARE!!!! TODAY WE STOMP A MUD HOLE IN THE CHARGERS!!! LEAVE NO DOUBT ON THE FIELD. SCORE, SCORE, SCORE, SCORE, AND THEN SCORE SOME MORE. MAKE EVERY OFFENSIVE DRIVE COUNT.
Remember fans, nothing good comes easy. We will be triumphant in SD. Broncos will break SD’s december unbeaten streak. As we know all good things must come to an end at some point. Sorry SD, today is that day for you.
1ArabianKnight:
I’m glad you could understand that I wasn’t trying to be harsh, but I still don’t agree with you. You said in your blog that ” I speak the truth as I see it.” Perhaps that is the problem. Perhaps you should speak the truth as God has given us in His Word and not falsify it for a Denver game. Anyone who has actually invested any time in God’s Word can see through it, but it is all the people who don’t understand that concerns me. Your rant sure sounds like a bunch of postmodern-believe whatever makes YOU happy nonsense. Truth isn’t defined by what makes YOU happy or what we WISH to be true. What is all this talk about the Mile HIgh Spirit? You even capitalize it like you would capitalize the Holy Spirit for being divine. Let me assure you there is no other spirit but the Holy Spirit. Maybe this is all a joke and you just like making up a bunch of nonsense to get people interested. If that is the case, then OK. But if you are a genuine believer in Jesus Christ and believe what He has revealed to us through His Word, then please stop with all this nonsense. You are just contributing to the believe-whatever-you-want postmodern philosophies. God’s Word is eternal and never changing. That isn’t my opinion, that is what God has told us in His Word. You either believe in it, or you don’t. Is there room for doubt? Sure. Matthew 9:24 reminds us that unbelief and doubt is going to happen, but God is still faithful to us. We are not perfect. Yet God can use these situations to grow us more in our faith. This is true. HOWEVER, what you are doing is just wrong. You are distorting God’s Word and making it into something that makes you content and happy. You are talking about the Mile High Spirit and all sorts of other nonsense. I hope that you will examine your thoughts and truly reflect on what you are saying. If you really do believe in some of these non-biblical ideas, then I hope you will seek help. If you are getting these ideas from another source, as so many people do, then you are in the wrong place. Maybe you aren’t a believer in the true gospel, so you decided to make God into something that you can follow. God is God and never changes. Don’t allow the foolishness of men to distort that. If you are getting these ideas from other sources than the Bible, then you are essentially distorting God’s Word with ideas that do not belong.
I hope you will truly examine your heart brother. Do you really think you are noble? That statement alone points out that you are being deceived. You are not morally distinguished or somehow better than others because of your position or birth. That is what noble means. If you believe that you are somehow morally better than most, then you really do need to consult God’s Word. You even capitalize noble when you refer to yourself as if you were God. Please read Romans and focus on chapter 3. Even as believers, we are still sinners. The only difference is that we have Christ’ death to justify us. We are no better because we all have sinned and continue to sin brother. There has never been anyone noble except Jesus Christ. God Bless everyone. God Bless you brother.
Rustyceletis- give it a rest this is a football blog if you want to (debeate.preach, testify) relligion isen’t there a more appropriate venue!

Anyway…..all i can say is WOW! This team will never cease to amaze me. 7 rb’s on IR…SEVEN!!! And we still have a shot??? Thats why nobody anywhere is giving our boys a chance. We would easily have had the division weeks ago without the injuries. We played the first half of the season with Defensive injuries then at the half way point we got hit with rb injuries. How the in the world are we stil alive?? yeah there are games we “should have won” … but when you have no solid run game, any team can cover the pass….so i truly belive we should NOT have won as many as we have…why you ask?…because Denver has always been a “run-sets-up-the-play-action” and “if you don’t run the ball well, you ain’t gonna win” kind of team…that has been imbeaded into all of our heads as true Broncos fans since we were little kids…thats what our dads taught us about the Broncos, and thats how its always been….but i think because of that we have all kind of looked at this season as the glass is half empty instead of pretty damn full for not having any rbs!! I love our boys to Death….if we had an 0-16 season i would still proudly wear the Orange and Blue every sunday during the season, no questions asked. What we have acomplished this year is amazing because it shows us fans that no matter the record, we can still belive in something that doesn’t look like its there. Something intangible. These boys..and i mean boys cause of all the youngsters starting…they have shown that Denver is still a team to be proud of, and that there is still some mile-high magic left, even in down times. If for some odd reason we don’t win…i still love em… they have done everything asked of them in a season that has no predictability. I’m in the military, and ive seen my share of unknowns…its like having your squad leader tell you that your going in to an unknown area, with no knowldge of threats that could be around, no communication from HQ on the staus of the enemy, and very little ammunition. Thats been this season for our Orange and Blue Boys, and for us fans. Whats going to happen? how will the fight end? who will be going home and who will live to fight another day? I belive that the wisest man is the one who casts his own shadow. Denver has casted there shadow, and it is one that cannot be easily reckoned with. Make no mistake, though, this is a Daniel in the Lions den scenario. Either way i will never disgrace Our Team, i will never doubt, even when we don’t win. The true test of us as fans is how we respond to defeat. Denver is going to go out there tonight and do there jobs, win or lose. But will we do our jobs as fans no matter what the outcome? There was someone who said in a blog above that its time for us to re-electrify this team with the support from the fans like the days of old. Should we only do that when they win?? NO…thats unfaithful…and no one deserves the right to disrespect there team no matter what. would you spit in the face of a soldier if he comes home from battle beaten? God i hope not.
Bottom line is this. I want us to win to show ourselves something. The rest of the Nation will see it in time, but we need this for us. No one else.
We have come too far this year to be defeated in the face of adversity… but none the less, i will always stay true to the Orange and blue.
And please don’t anyone think i am writing us out of this game, cause i sure as hell ain’t!! we are gone beat em up and hopefully make them realize that they need a gut check on their mindset. Plus stats show us better as underdogs…so i like our chances in this matchup!
Sorry fo rthe long post…maybe me and Elway07 should write a novel =)
Because you ended your statement with God Bless everyone and me, I have no quarrel with you….as we are not to quarrel over the Word. I have said what I have said because of my belief, knowledge of Football (as a former player and current coach), and undying love for where my heart and “feet” long to reside…the Colorado Highlands!! I am a minister of the faith and would never “blaspheme” against the Lord ADONAI! If you are a follower of his Word and learned believer then you would recognize that I call the Father by NAME, and you now know that I know what it is that you are ‘eluding to’ in your retort. I have spoken no offense against our Lord, If I had….you certainly would not be alone in it being singled out, yet you cannot name one thing I have said to be incorrect!
All I am saying, is that in Situation like these God uses to grow us more in our faith, for which You apparently agree, therefore we have no argument.
It seems you are more concerned with my title than the inspirations We are to “Encourage”.
A true Noble, is a Servant to Man, Mankind, and Humanity!
If I was not, how would I know as such???
You said, “If you believe that you are somehow morally better than most, then you really do need to consult God’s Word. You even capitalize noble when you refer to yourself as if you were God.”
I have in no way said that I am better or even believe that I am better, YOU simply want to ‘make that the issue’ according to your interpretation of my statements! Nowhere have I said, I am not a sinner, or that I am “morally distinguished” or “better than others”….but for your sake I acknowledge it.
Therefor I conclude, it is with the ‘Love of Christ’ that I speak towards you, for I am not angry or bitter….His Love doesn’t allow me to be, Anyone who truly knows him, know also that what I speak is TRUE!!
My position is to Serve, and in doing so “Encourage others to Encourage”…that is why I’ve chosen to blog on this site. I do not get involved in senseless rhetoric, but I will encourage Hope, and Faith with every fiber of my being until my last breath. That is my Code and Creed.
For the record, One is regarded a ‘Noble’ not by one’s birth alone, but by how One decides to be a “Good person in both mind and heart”, and for everyday that they decide to be that ‘good person’, for that is all we can do do, all else is folly and vanity, my ancestor Solomon taught us that !!!

This blog site isn’t about You or Me, Rustycletis…so lets get ready for the game!
God Bless You Rustycletis, the Broncos, and Our Fans both believers and not!!
Denver i ask you from the bottom of all us Bronco fans heart, we have watched and heldare head sometimes but held them low just as much, we are true fans, battle through bllod, sweat and tears and bring us a win PLEASE!!!! All it takes is heart….. hint hint defense
look, im not going to type an epic blog to get my point across better, or whatever.
but,
history proves that there is a drastic improvement in our record when we have a 1000 yrd. rusher, instead of having many different rbs.
I’m so anxious… ughhh
should be a good game though… I want to see some pressure on Rivers… that evil bastard… haha
good luck guys lol
I’m hoping the wind slows down so I can watch the game! The dish can’t keep locked on, it’s blowing 45mph or more out there! I been on the roof once latching the dish down but what can ya do when the whole house is shakin’! I wanna see Rivers get smacked! Go Broncos!
I predicted we’d need to score 50 to win… I was wrong.
I don’t want to see this defense together on the field EVER again!!!
Maybe they should hire John Lynch for GM. If anyone knows the D it’s him. I believe he could use his business degree from Stanford and really be orange again’
