Tim Tebow is now the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos.
On Tuesday, Head Coach John Fox made the announcement to the media after telling the team in an early morning meeting.
“We announced (to the team) that Tim Tebow would start the Miami game and we’re moving forward.”
Tebow, who has thrown for 733 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions — in addition to 264 rushing yards and seven touchdowns — in 12 career games, will make his first start of the 2011 season against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.

OK, so Denver does the right thing by making TEBOW the starter. Now give him some time. I am sure that if he had the time that Orton had, and honestly “MR QUITTER” was given ample amount of time!!!, but if TEBOW had the time to become smarter, stronger, and show his ability that he has always had, (Although Management DOESN’T believe in) he can be the next Broncos Super QB in history.
*** I have to say this one thing though. JOHN ELWAY! Stop crying and making stupid remarks that Tim is not Denver’s Future.. Seriously, your only making us think that you are selfish, and want the glorified legacy all to yourself. You will never be forgotten, so stop it. The comments you make about Tim are absolutely farse, and yes Tim is that good. It took YOU ELWAY! many years to become great. So give Tim the same opportunity that the Broncos Gave you. One thing Tim has over you, is he was DRAFTED A BRONCO… other then that, allow him to be the one to fill your shoes. Griese, Brister, Orton, Cutler, Many others have not had the reaction from us fans, that TEBOW has. Its because we “KNOW” that he is that special one, to fill your shoes. Let him be that guy, and you should just sit in your Over paid, over priced, over salaried executive CHAIR SUITE, that you only get because of your LEGACY, with our beloved team.
I cried when you retired and I sobbed like a baby, When we traded Cutler I was happy, but when we brought in TEBOW I started going back to church because I believed that GOD answered my prayers. I wanted him drafted, and the team did that. NOW GIVE HIM HIS TIME.. YOU had YOURS, now give TEBOW the support that you had when Mike Shanahan was your coach. Reeves, hated you JOHN, but MIKE loved you. It was not until MIKE came in, that you won 2 SUPERBOWLS… Don’t forget that. If FOX doesn’t work out, then bring in URBAN MEYER as our next coach. This would be like the MIKE SHANAHAN and JOHN ELWAY ERA… Seriously, no joke…
With all that being said, and yes it had to be said, LET THE MAN become the legacy we know he will be, and just sit back and get paid…

No matter what happens with Tebow, good or bad he will NEVER, i repeat in case you are still a bit drunk on the Teb-aid.. WILL NEVER destroy his legacy, and HE DEFFINATELY knows that. Now that doesnt mean Tebow wont be great, but he is NOT Elway. Completely different type of players in a completely different era of the NFL. So just wanted to put that out there! Im glad you are glad Tebow is starting, its about time and i too cant wait to see him under center full time, but please dont come on here and attempt to bash the most beloved broncos QB of ALL TIME!!!!!

I’d done nothing but defend Kyle Orton pretty much since mid-way through last season. Used every argument I could think of…”He gives us the best chance to win now…blah blah blah” “Let’s give him a chance to have the team gel, it’s not his fault” etc. etc. etc. I went on and on about standing behind Orton. My wife thinks I hate Tebow…I don’t. I really think he’s great, a success at whatever he’s done. Just really liked Orton. After the Green Bay game I finally convinced myself, check that, Orton convinced me that if Fox wanted to pull him…I wouldn’t be bothered too much…Was hoping he’d have a good year and Tebow would be able to to some sideline learning ala Aaron Rodgers. So much for that. I’m excited to see if he can do this thing!
P.S. I do hate to see Orton go out like that…must really be a crappy feeling, getting fired from your job, but you still have to show up every day!

Where did you hear Elway say Tim is not our future? I’m still trying to find it. I just listened to the Elway show and he had nothing but good things to say about Tim. I know that is pretty much expected but it’s nice considering folks are saying our brass doesn’t believe in him. To be honest making him the starter is all I can ask for as a sign of belief. GO BRONCOS!

Cant wait to see Tebow start I will not be drinking so I’m sure to see each good play each bad play each amazing play and each terrible one and I pray to god that there are none of that last category. As far as Elway he has only ever said that Tebow needs to prove he can be a QB and that he can be the future. I truely think they are turning to Tebow thinking this will help tank the season so they can draft Luck but they are in for a rud awakening for although how Tebow plays isn’t pretty it will result in a winning record with him as the starter.

I can say i was happier than most to SE Elway back in the fold that said ….I can honestly say for the first time ever i’m ashamed of John Elway .Shut up and talk up the positives your 1-4 for pete sakes.you made your feelings known want to keep that coochie job and remain relevant support your players and staff or have the once devoted fans show you the door. rjennings6, like it or not, Tebow is a Bronco. It’s the only team in the NFL he’s ever played for. Calling new Broncos fans fake fans is just plain stupid. Personally, I’ve been a Broncos fan my whole life, since long before Tebow. I’m also a HUGE Tebow fan that went to school at UF and lives in Florida. YOU on the other hand, stating that you’ll support Tebow and buy his Jersey IF he proves to be a winner, makes you the very definition of a BAND WAGON JUMPER! I was a Bronco fan even when they SUCKED! As an example, you know…just recently, when Kyle Orton was their quarterback. I got a Tebow jersey as soon as they were available and I’ve been wearing it all season, even when the Broncos was losing and TT was riding the bench.
