so is anyone else besides me excited to hear how well Orton is doing? I think this could be a big help for us this year, as long as he really is as comfortable as it sounds!

  12. Orange_Crusher says:

Oh, I’m really exited to hear that Orton can practice soo well! yeah!

Too bad he turns into a bumbling lead foot jello head when the real bullets start flying…. jomho

  13. BeastFromEast92 says:

OC pops up at just the right time…LMAO!

It has been said, by some of the best, you play like you practice!

I for one am excited to hear how well Orton is doing. Finally a little positive news! In addition to No mas!
Seems like McD made an intelligent decision suspending TC. I guess you can call him McKarma! As we all should understand the true meaning of karma. That is doing good and having it reciprocated.

    GO BRONCOS 2K10!!!!!!!!!!

sndvl, or doing bad and having the roof fall in.

It’s funny how I usually am always on one side or the other of an issue, never shy on my convictions, but in the case of Orton and McD I am probably dead in the middle, I neither loathe them like sndvl does McD and OC does Orton, and neither am I smitten by them like OC by McD and sndvl by Orton. Both have so far neither impressed me neither truly disappointed me, they kind of are strangely floating out there with their heads bobbing in and out of the water, some times they can’t seem to take a breath, other times air comes up and everything is fine, a total roller coaster of a ride if you wish, but the end result leaves me without real strong emotions one way or another, it’s like comatosing me in the long run, average results from both, best shown by the 8-8 record of last year and yet one anticipated this year by many.

Neither has stepped up to the plate yet, somehow the Quarteback Quagmire is taking a larger meaning as if the whole team is in a sort of Quagmire now, lead by Orton and McD, and that is not what I expect of leaders, leaders must produce and produce often. It is my opinion that we are here still witnessing Orton and McD growing into adulthood in their respective position, with all the pains that it entails and all the fervor here and there and I just can’t wait for both of them to finally fully get it, so I can get on with it and get all excited about things, see us with playoffs aspirations every year and so on.

But that’s not going to happen for Orton because as we all know as soon as Tebow is ready Orton will have to bow out, so that’s why I think average will shall remain until Tebow grows into the NFL QB we think he may be and McD has enough experience under his belt to run this team properly. In the same way that everything slows down for a player on the field after the early mayhem of his career in the NFL, McD needs for things to slow down in his head to be able to make better decisions, things are just running too fast for him now, kind of like an adrelanine rush, he is not able to sit back to get a good view of the entire ordeal and deal with it appropriately, not yet anyway, but I have my hopes for him, hopefully he will have taken a big step forward in his HC life by the time Tebow is ready and then the sky will be the limit. Anyway those are my thoughts this morning, all compliments of OC and sndvl, LOL.

  18. baylinorcrush says:

In fact McD is strangely acting like his first ever first round draft pick Moreno acted last year. Great energy, adrenaline to the max, running with his head cut off at times because of a failure to see the field (everything going so fast), butted his head multiple times straight up the middle with no success and popping awesome runs here and there and taking a fair share of lumps and bruises in the process. Goes to show everything relates in life, RB, HC go through the same learning curve.

  19. Danso says:

DP has a gud article about Xander & his negotiations while having his own medical problems. So many were complaining about slow contracts yet look what he accomplished. Too many of u don’t give credit for what really goes on behind the scenes. Same way with coach, Orton et al. So critical & impatient.

  20. baylinorcrush says:

You don’t get impatient when you are 56 years old, just analytical, I was impatient to go to our first superbowl in 77, I was impatient for Elway to win his first superbowl after three failed attempts, but now that we have reached the pinnacle, not once, but twice, what do I have to be impatient about, this is all gravvy buddy, now I just call it the way I see it and I enjoy the ride just the same. We are all Bronco fans and we all do it all differently, isn’t variety in life what’s so beautiful about it. I like the way some fans think everything is always great, but I also find it fascinating when some others articulate different point of views even so they may not be so flattering, maybe it’s just me, uniformity, even in Bronco fans, bores me…

  21. Danso says:

Bay didn’t mean to get your dander up, just a general observation for many. I love your blogs & lookforward to reading. Don’t ever change a thing. You keep the site interesting. :)

BAY , I KNOW I’M YOUNG AND YOUR TYPICAL STEREOTYPE FAN…BUT THE MOMENT YOU COUNT OUT OUR TEAM THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT. WHEN WE GO BACK TO LAST SEASON ,WE WERE PRETTY HEALTHY ALL SEASON LONG. WHEN WE WERE 6-0 WE WERE A BALANCE TEAM. THE MOMENT WE STARTED LOSING WE BECAME A ONE DIMENSION TEAM ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. BUT IT’S NOT COMPLETLY MCD FUALT WHEN HIS PLAYERS COULD NOT DELIVER FOR 16 GAMES. I FEEL THAT MCD HAS THE RIGHT SCHEEM, BUT WHEN YOUR PLAYERS QUIT WHEN THEY LOSE GAMES THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO WIN. THEN WHO CAN YOU BLAME THAT ON? THAT’S JUST MY OPINION.

60 MINUTES OF FOOTBALL GO BRONCOS!!!

Does Westbrook get a call now? The guy is injury prone, but Buckhalter could be out a while if he’s seeing a specialist and LenDale being out 4 games we need a veteran carrying the ball not a 2nd year and practice squad RBs.

But I disagree with the McD statement. Its the old “when the going gets tough the tough get going thing” It’s McD’s team to get ready!!

The Blog is 100 percent back to normal for me (at least on this visit) and I hope is the same for the others who had problems. No comment problems, and I can actually see next blog links at top right, so a big thank you to the staff for taking care of that.

I agree with you Baylin on Orton and McD. I am soooo indifferent towards them but for me, not enough to hope the fail or get kicked out. I do however think the QB numbers need to be shuffled. We have too many potentials. Orton the Start and Tebow the heir apparent. I feel bad for Quinn, he is like the forgotten one. Which is funny cuz when he was acquired many were happy but many of those many are all tebow crazy now.

  29. baylinorcrush says:

manny 01, I hear you loud and clear, however you don’t need to keep making your point in capital letters, I get it and l actually find your outlook on things very refreshing, just a tip that yelling in print doesn’t always get the job done.

I would like to give my yearly pessimistic review of the Broncos situation. I think 6-10 is the cap for this year. I think those that believe we can go 12-4 or even 10-6 are amazingly optimistic. One of the reasons I say that is because we are still the same team that finished 2-8 after being AMAZINGLY lucky the first six weeks. We have an offensive “genius” who took the NFL’s 2nd best offense and made it very mediocre. Traded away one of the best young receiver QB combos in the game, balked at drafting the DROY, now we are down a pass rusher with not one in sight. Jumped the gun to draft an unproven commodity at QB, although in his words we are “just fine” with Orton. Yet if we are “just fine” why trade for Quinn AND draft Tebow. This team has gone from respectability to unpredictability in only two seasons. Do you realize this franchise has never had the #1 overall pick. It is a franchise that has been the model of consistency year end and year out. I know that everyone feels like they need to support this team, even I do. Still, I do not feel it is a franchise moving in the right direction. I see this team slowly sinking into a McD created mire that may take years to come out of. Ask the Lions how quickly things can go bad, look at the Rams and see how swiftly bad decisions can send you into the doldrums. One thing I do not do is trust the reports of this site. They are always going to put a positive spin on things, that is their job. Of course they are going to report that Orton looks like Elway out there. Why would they do otherwise. What matters to me is what happens when September 12th comes around. I will be sitting in front of the tube, waiting for the REAL Broncos to stand up. Hopefully, it is not for a standing 8 count

well said va, we may be in the minority but I agree with u man. Every single word. We will still be there watchign the Broncos, that will never change, but I dont think u are being pessimistic, just realistic. Its Many others that are being overly optimistic, they must have drank some McD Koolaid, a koolaid I tasted in the first year cuz we knew not much about him and needed to give him a chance, but now we know plenty and if we choose to still drink his kool aid, thats a problem. Not saying people should not be McD fans, just do not be, I believe Baylin called it “McD can do no wrong bloggers” lol. My most optimistic for this season is 7-9 but I also believe we end 6-10. Hopefully we are wrong, and Any Given Sunday kicks in cuz we sure as hell gonna need it lol. TRB out…

ps: yea manny, the caps are annoying to read and are usually translated as obnoxious or aggression. All you need is the persons name u are responding to, even if no one else reads it (which they probably will), the person it is addressed to will see his/her name and read it. For example I read it, but not because it was in caps (cuz I ususally ignore those) but because the first word let me know it was aimed at a Baylin post I had already read.

  34. rayjr26 says:

man some slow news today i guess. not much happening in blogger world. @ TRB and VA bronco…… i have to disagree with ya’ll on this one! while i dont think we are going to the super bowl this season or anything, i DO believe we are moving in the right direction as a franchise. weve got good depth (lots of young guys) all over the field. gone are the spoiled prima donnas, what have you done for me lately types! instead we have guys that are team oriented, and will play for each other as opposed to playing for their next years contract! i like our new direction. dont know how its all going to play out but i believe that we are witnessing the beginning of a new dynasty in denver that will be good for years to come! with all the injuries this season im not so sure we make the playoffs but i do believe we will be at least .500 and poised for a serious push next season! my 2 cents…..
    Go Broncos

  35. Yovi21 says:

wow..that is pretty pessimistic! just looking at the strength of our schedule I think 8-8 to 10-6 is more likely than 6-10 to me, Orton will play better this year, Moreno will be better, Royal will be better, Mcd will coach better! we are a Smarter football team this year and sometimes thats what makes the difference! IMO this should be an exciting year for the Broncos and it will get better from here, Mcd has a plan, it takes time, we shouldn’t count him out as soon as he has and average season ( the Raiders do that and look where they have been the last 7 years) I don’t expect Denver to be a contender for the Superbowl and I also think we’re moving in the right direction!!

    BE PATIENT! GO MCD 2010
