Mr. Elway … Hi … big fan. I am curious what your definition of insanity is … and if it differs from that of Einstein?
Fun read of Ortons clutch inability.

Later days, TRB
Mr.Elway I know you took to heart that we needed Defensive help this year, and I applaud what EFX done in the draft (best draft in years) even done OK in FA,but what about the Offense,it’s went into the crapper!!!!
WHEN IS IT TEBOW TIME?????????
I don’t have a twitter account,so would someone please ask that question for me?
How many games loss , interceptions thrown and fumbles lost can Orton allow in key situations before you start considering a new qb, such as , Tim Tebow?!
Fox, on whether he’s still confident in Orton as the starting QB 4 hours ago on Twitter: “Yeah … right now Kyle, in our opinion, gives us our best chance.”
So he is definitely not listening to the fans and facts.
… since Week 1 of 2010, ORTON has only led the Broncos to one touchdown in 11 drives when trailing by eight points or less in the last 10 minutes of regulation. Interesting ?
John, You are one of the greatest qb’s to ever play the game. With that said my question to you is a two part question. What would it take for you to coach Tim Tebow and what is it going to take for you and Fox to realize that Orton isnt the right qb for this team. Lets face it when its game time and when we need our qb to step up and make the big plays, Orton chokes ie: the fumble agaisnt the Raiders when there was nobody within five yards of him. Come on John its time to see what Tim Tebow can do at least this way the season wont be a complete waste this way.
win what coach? because he sure isnt winning games for us!
At what stage of the season (OR) what record will we have to have in order to see IF Tim Tebow is our QB of the future???
***ALSO have you looked at QB Kellen Moore as a possible draft pick? He is an outstanding QB with accuracy and touch and is currently completing about 80% of his passes at BSU!!!***
NOT SURE he is an NFL talent, but I’m impressed with his mind and accuracy!
THANKS
GO BRONCOS – Boise and Denver!!!
Tebow time will come in week 7 against the Dolphins….I’m calling it now, no offense to Broncos country, but I see us sitting at a comfortable 1-4
Mr.Elway is Kyle Orton the future for the Broncos?….If not then why is he playing games for us? Why not see what Tebow has? If he does badly we would at least have a high draft pick in a draft that is filled with talented QBs….what is there to lose?
Mr.Elway,
We always hear about how important it is to be a pocket passer in this league, but what do you think about mobility? You were considered a “mobile QB” and i remember lots of games where your legs were what kept the drive alive. Do you think that mobility is less important in todays NFL?
Thanks,
Ray Jr
anyone care to “tweet” that one for me? if so, then thanks!
Ray I tweeted it for you.
Has anyone else noticed how many of the college QB’s are very mobile these days? We are looking at the future and guess what Orton is not going to be the new type of QB. The game is changing.
Thanks shaztah!! and i agree! I think mobility is going to be an important part of a QB’s game especially with all the bad O lines there are out there! LMAO
This from Bleacher Report:
And yes, Fox, said, there is indeed a set of plays in his playbook that are designed to capitalize on Tebow’s skills in short-yardage and goal line situations.
“Without announcing things competitively, I would say we’ve practised a lot of that,” Fox said.
He just hasn’t used them in a game yet, although he said he considered all his options in crunch time Sunday.
“It’s all a consideration. Every play is a consideration,” Fox said. “When they work, you’re a genius and when they don’t, you’re an idiot.”
…
So, did he not think Tebow could help him?
“No, I didn’t say that,” Fox replied. “We just didn’t choose him.”
Hmmm… Perhaps you should have, coach. Perhaps you should have.
Semper Broncos!!
shaztah, hope you saw the predictions results, you look good in there.
That’s why he feels like an idiot, LOL.
Big fan for years! My Question how many times does Orton have to loose the game for us before a change not saying any names but definitely not QUINN.Would appreciate a answer and not spend your time defending KYLE.
Thanks Bay I did see that
I still wouldn’t have minded being on the wall of shame if we won.
Mr. Elway,
Been watching football for a long time. Watching you play was worth every penny. Watching the passion, big plays, everything rank among the best memories. So on to my questions. And sorry to post more than one.
Do you watch the games? Are you excited by Kyle Orton’s play? The big plays, the scrambling, the amazing control of the offense? But the biggest one in my mind… Would you PAY to watch Kyle Orton play?
Bench Orton
Bench Orton
Bench Orton
PLEASE!
About the “Ask Eric Decker” blog…. I have Facebook but why do I have to film the question? Why can’t I ask Decker how does he feel about Orton throwing passes that could get his head knocked off?!?! What’s crazy is we play the Bills and Lions who are both doing what we should or should’ve been doing! I am kind of glad the Rams aren’t doing great!
Mr. Elway how can Kyle Orton give us the best chance to win with .312 win % (10-22) and tim has a .333 win % (1-2) in 3 games? Come on numbers dont lie. Kyle’s lack of being an actuall football guy is his down fall. He looks scared after being hit and loses his accuracy especially down field.
This is not a question for Elway but simply my two cents being inserted into the newest blog.
Broncos defense has me impressed. I expected and stated in my predictions several times that I expected passing TD’s, but I also expected the Denver defense to not be able to hold against the run game for 4 quarters. Kudos the the defense. They are playing above my expectations considering we are missing Champ. Keeping the Titans to 17 – WOW! and very entertaining!
Offense on the other hand….it begins and ends with the line. The holes are not being opened. McGahee is running into the back of his own guys. The holes aren’t there and it would make a difference even if A. Peterson were a Bronco – the Bronco offensive line was dominated on most plays at the line of scrimmage – with a few notable exceptions.
Orton play was dutifully boring. I actually over estimated the performance of Orton in my predictions. I thought that Denver would at least have a passing game between the 20’s, but “oops” I was wrong. I was switching back and forth between the Denver game and the Carolina game as well. I’d rather watch Cam lose than watch Orton win. Just me. My thoughts were that the critical downs in which Orton didn’t perform were precisely the situations in which Tebow excels.
Fox is nuts on the subject of one or two plays either way and Broncos are 3 – 0. Raiders dominated in every facet of the game but almost penalized themselves into a loss. Titan’s did the same. Truth is Broncos got the majority of the good breaks and still couldn’t pull it off. They’re gonna need an offense !???
wouldn’t make a difference if A. Peterson was a Bronco – typo sorry.
John, my question, can I have your autograph?
I love the Broncos, but as of late, our offense has become lack luster, to say the least. How would you grade Orton as a leader and why? Specifically, how does he instill passion into his team mates and maintain a winning attitude? Could someone tweet that for me?
Can someone ask him if it’s true that Tebow is not playing because of money? Please.
BTW, thanks OC for providing us with that coaching background on McCoy, non impressive to say the least, promoted/demoted, promoted again/demoted again….
Cool game right now, Shanny against the Cowboys!
wow.
Its tough to see positives after a loss, even a close loss. Stopping the run was achieved. Our defense is doing very well for being down 3 starters not to mention Ty Warren. Ayers is still not putting the pressure on the QB. Hassleback had the time to pick our secondary apart.
For the offense; it starts with the o-line. They are getting manhandled by the bigger Defensive lines, like Raiders and Titans. It will be interesting to see them against a 3-4. We may have more success running the ball. Going for it on 4th and short is what I would have done as well. Fox didn’t know how the line would respond. now he does. This is a learning year for him and this staff.
I wouldn’t be surprised if McCoy is gone after this year or sooner. He isn’t doing anything really well and he has been here with the guys.
Bay, OC and your little band of negative so called fans are great a digging up anything negative you can sink your teeth into always are presenting only that negative side of the information and hanging on to it. By definition you’re not fans. It’s going to take time to get this team to be championship caliber. Why don’t you dig in your heals and support this team? It makes it that much easier for players and coach alike to get better with out all your constant clammering for instant success. That’s adolesent behavior at its worse. For those of you who profess to be expects on the subject of football, you sure don’t show it. These guys are playing there tails off, they deserve the support of their fans. Elway will get us there! Go Broncos!
Part of the reason I want Tebow to suceede is we won’t have to waste a pick on a QB and can get someone that else that plays in an area of need like I don’t no running back or MLB (I’m not sold on Mays). Great prospects this year one being, Isaiah Pead from Cincinnati (RB) or Arizona State’s Vontaze Burfict (MLB). You should look these guys up on YouTube both are extremely explosive and would be an asset to our team.
Hi john, I was wondering if Kyle Orton’s three game sample of 20 point average is the best chance to win with Tebow in his three game average of 25 points? Just curious man ya…
Im very salty watching Dez Bryant play while DT sits. For a team with 2 1st round picks in 2010 … we might as well have none cuz neither of them are playing. TRB
So this week we are going to more than likely rely on Orton again as the Bears were only able to obtain 13 total yards total rushing, holding Forte to 2 yards and Cutler to 11. So rushing the ball as tough as it may be we’ll still have to try and continue to incorporate the running game. If we can keep from falling too far behind on the scoreboard we can still force them to be honest on defense. If we can keep our penalties to a minimum again and win the turnover differential that will help us to stay competative in the game.
We also need to again stop the run. Grant put up 92 yards on a tough Bears defense, but we’ve kept Benson and CJ in check the past two weeks. Then unlike the past two weeks we have Rodgers to worry about. The best QB we’ve faced so far this season and hopefully Bailey will be back. In the past two weeks we’ve given up 627 yards through the air, doesn’t matter stopping the run if we can’t stop the pass.
Fox himself is clammering for instant success so we’re just all trying to support his method as well. We just all have different ideas on how to get there is all.
Oh the future is definitely headed for mobile QBs … there are no statue QBs anymore like Orton and Peyton (altho peyton makes up for it very well) … Even if u look at one of the best pocket passers in Aaron Rodgers, he is perhaps one of the fastest scramblers in the league. That man can move. Same can be said for most QBs coming in the NFL … its just necessary for QBs to be more athletic …whether its to avoid sacks and buy time or scramble. And if you are a statue .. u better be a darn good statue like Manning and Brady. TRB
Quite honestly folks … if what we suspect is the problem (the contract thing … then nothing can save us … I can’t remember the specifics of the escalators … but If it comes down to a percentage of games or snaps or watever …. then the only time TT will start is when that number most likely can’t be reached. Sad but true … thier thought process is probably … if we are gonna give him all the snaps which equal more money … it better be after a full offseason of training when he will have the best chance to lead our team and earn that moeny … they have no interest in paying extra for him to gain experience lol. TRB
Hello John Elway,
It seem’s like you really don’t care for Tebow. He is a breath of fresh air.
Orton is not taking us anywhere. put Tebow and let him grow as a QB.
I hope you are not jealous, he is a good person that doesnt get into trouble just what we need.
Fox is either not honest or not smart… Orton gives us the best chance to get a top pick in next years draft!… That is the ONLY thing Orton gives us the best chance at… Other than deviding Broncos Country on why we continue this QB charade…
I think Elway doesn’t think we know how to recognize tallent, or the lack there of (Orton). I’m tired of being lied to….. Quit giving me this BS that “Orton gives us the best chance to win” crap!..
I have been watching football for 36 years and I can see with my own eyes something completely different than this doggie dukie that Fox and Elway are trying to feed me… I’ve already been served the same stinky dish by McDaniels for the last two years…..
Orton is the Crash Test Dummy. Just an average QB, overpaid to take a beating in the name of Losing now to Gain in next years draft….
Fox is nothing more than a punching bag to take all the blame during this Lose to Build year. What other coach in the leauge would have accepted this duty except the only coach in the NFL with a worse record, a coach who “can take the critisism because he is compensated well”…
Fire Fox and put Studesville back in command! Studs has enough balls to make the right decisions and he doesn’t need to be compensated like Fox….Studs can take critisism because he is a MAN! Not because he is “compensated well”…..!!!!!!
ORTON STINKS! FOX IS SMELLING JUST LIKE MCDANIELS!!! MCCOY TOTALLY STINKS!!! I’m tired of losing! Just give me the damn ball and let me hand it to Tebow for Goodness sakes!!!!!
It doesn’t take a freaking brain surgeon to call a bootleg on 4th and 1 right after you just failed on 2nd and 3rd down running it up the gut!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PUT STUDESVILLE BACK IN CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PUT ME IN CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PUT A DAMN ORANGE BUTTOXED MONKEY IN CHARGE!!!! FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!!!!
Sorry, I just needed to vent out my Bronco frustrations…..:) haha, i feel better now….
ILMSDB!!!!
P.S. I THINK DENNIS ALLEN IS DOING A WONDERFUL JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
MILLER IS AWESOME AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR DOOM TO GET BACK!!!
I think TT would play for free if EFX gave him a chance to prove himself. If it’s a money thing, why not restrcture his contract? Wasted RAW talent.
Go Broncos!
shut the he!! up imready…
change your name to imsick and go to the doctor for dimentia..
or change your handle to imreadytolose…
whatever your problem is, why try to change other peoples thinking by ridiculeing our thoughts???
Present your arguement as to why we are wrong and you are right. You may bring some good light onto your perspective.
To just come on here and tell me I’m not a true fan because I aint blindly cheering for losses is preposterous…!
Grow the he!! up, boy!
imready is actually Josh McDaniels….
That’s too much of a compliment, haha.
My question to John Elway,
Do you remember winning back to back Superbowls and how awesome the Denver Broncos offense looked? Do you think our offense looks any where close to that with Orton? Do you honestly believe that Orton is a tremendous talent we can’t live without? Did you attempt to trade Orton because he was so awesome only to be stuck with him? Do you honestly think Tebow would be or could be any worse that Orton? Is it because of money? Is it because of Luck being a draft possibility? What is it? Because so far this transparency thing has been impossible to see through.
Washington is doing real well, I’m very impressed, Hightower who I thought we should go after in FA looks all world running the ball, Gaffney and Santana Moss are nothing to snear at, and Shanny has a D!!!! Imagine that!! He leaves us without one and he walks right into one, not fair, Orapko was the man instead of Moreno, he was still on the board at #11 and stupid McD went Moreno, arrrgh!
Mr. Elway,
Why are yall starting a qb (orton) with a qb rating that is lower than a qb that is sitting on the bench (TIM TEBOW)! That last interception that was thrown he said that it was not my fault, dummy shut up, you threw the ball and it got intercepted! Yes, someone tipped it and yes it floated in the air, but did you see that hand? Orton sucks and he will give the Broncos a chance to win! Tim Tebow gives the Broncos a better chance and he has more heart and talent that Orton does! Why not start Tebow and let him learn and grow as a player! For goodness sake orton has been in the league for seven years and he is throwing for 172 yards and he has no emotions about that! LET TEBOW PLAY AND GET RID OF ORTON!!!! ORTON SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TEBOW KNOWS HOW TO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dam Bay, imagine if we would have drafted Orapko? Doom, Orapko and Von. Now that would of been scary sight to see if you were an opposing qb…lol
