On 9NEWS KUSA-TV’s show Monday night, Elway discussed quarterback Tim Tebow’s never-say-die mindset.
“That’s what Tim does, he’s got that competitive nature,” Elway said. “The fact that it’s not over until it’s over and until that clock says 0:00, he figures he’s got a chance to win.”

How close are you to your prediction bay? Not bullying me for mine yet………..prob cause that tactic didn’t work last time around………LMAO!!!
Well, my numbers said Chargers win 24-23, but I can’t do a quantitative analysis on intangibles, and the D is being extra stingy these days, so I tried to adjust for that.
Too bad you missed my posts about that rbf1, even Klis talked about it, Griffin III is the intriguing one because he can do so many things Tebow does like the option therefore if they decide to give Tebow one more year they could have Griffin as backup just in case because the way Tebow plays he is only a hit away from being out. Griffin was absolutely INCREDIBLE in that game agaisnt Oklahoma, watched the whole thing, he was the bomb, both on the ground and in the air and he has major accuracy and has had a huge career at Baylor, I would be all for getting him, as an insurance and if Tebow does not work out Griffin certainly could and I will always remember hearing Elway say way back then that he thought McNabb had the greatest potential to succeed in the NFL, so it’s not that far fetched he would fall for Griffin, just my two cents.
Remember I’m the contest master, don’t push your luck killerkod, LOL.
Bolts did a good job vs run against Bears.
Forte was 21 for 59 yds (2.8 avg).
Longest run – 13 yds.
Barber was 6 for 23 yds (3.8 avg). 1 td
Longest run – 10 yds
Cutler was 5 for 11 yds (2.2 avg) 1 td
Longest run – 11 yds
Thanks for feedback bay. Wow- sounds like he would be a good fit.
And he’s accurate.. great!
I’ll need to tune in to a Baylor game soon.
Yeah, that one was amazing, I was floored, like I discovered something, then I found out Elway was there, so maybe he discovered something too, and he did all that against Okalhoma’s D, no chumps there, and first time in the history of the school Baylor beat Oklahoma, it was precious.
Football talk is nice, isn’t it?
okay contest master……….here’s my prediction anyways! LOL
Broncos: 23
Bolts: 17
Our D has a great game, doesn’t give up too many big plays and our special teams torch them for a score.
I hope that prediction doesn’t fall through the cracks, LMAO!
don’t make me email gray about you too bay!!! hahahahaha
Funny!
Think we’ll see a steady dose of McGahee this week or will Ball get the majority of the snaps, or a balance of both?
C
I don’t think that fumble he had was really related to his hand………it was just a good strip. He should be feeling better this week though…….
Yes – it sure is.
Crimson Tide RB Trent Richardson looks like he’s going to be a top prospect next year. Has good speed and size… 224 lbs. Sure would be great if we could get in position to draft him depending on QB situation, though.
Tebow on First Take to talk to Skip Bayless in 18 minutes. Should be an interesting conversation considering the lovefest Skip has for Tebow. I reccomend tuning in!
recommend**
Thx orangemnm
And I agree with bay, kyle sonnerman woulda nipped it in th bud sooooooo quick. I should know, me and him had a couple of run ins and alot of shared emails. He was way strict tho, now we are way lx. Need a middle ground I suppose. But at the frequency that we post, I salute anyone that can keep up and read every single post, assuming that’s not their ONLY job function
TRB
if TT isn’t the QB of choice for our future, at least he’s getting to play and showing he can be successful. It’s a win/win really……….we’re winning some games and if the broncos feel the need to trade him, he is building value…………..
With the short career span of an NFL running back now a days, I would hesitate spending a first rounder on a back. Maybe I’m hesitant because of the Moreno failure.
I really like the kid from Miami Lamar Miller. Which he projects out to be a 2nd rounder
TRB…..Kyle moderated me for a lot less than Glax was doing,so I know what you mean, his vulgar remarks about our mothers was way over the top,and he should be banned!
LMAO@Bay’s 7:49 AM post!
BTW…bay,Griffin is a Beast at QB!!!
Broncos: 13
Chargers: 20
While Tebow did play well against the Chargers in the 2nd half earlier this season I think they weren’t quite ready for him. I think they will have planned for him now, both in the pass and run. We’re going to SD, and the Chargers are desperately looking for win so they’ll be jacked up, we have to be as well or Rivers might tear us a new one.
Tebow Time on First Take.
If we don’t go QB in the 1st round,I think we go CB,and go RB in the 2nd round.just me!
Trent Richardson is a Beast and will go in the top 10,he is better than Ingram, who won the Heisman, and Richardson will go way higher in the draft than Ingram did,so we won’t have a chance at him,IMO.
I really think Simms has a point with hi comment.
Dan Patrick: Would you want him as the QB of your franchise?
Phil Simms: Well, not now, no…He is throwing it better, and to me his biggest problem throwing is, he’s more worried about throwing an interception than he is completing the pass. He’s being so careful when he lets it go; I know he’s not gonna miss some of these 10-yard routes that are out there in front of him. But he’s neurotic about making sure it’s not going to be intercepted. If he stops that, he’s going to start completing more, and it’s going to look a lot better to everybody’s eye.
Tebow knows if he throws an INT the critics will jump all over him.
There is a CB on the South Carolina team that looks like the real deal.
100% RH
He is definitely being cautious with his throws. I think he just doesn’t trust what he sees yet and like you said, doesn’t want to make a mistake. Hopefully that is something that comes with experience from week to week
Maybe they should’ve asked Phil Simms if he would want Chris Simms as the QB of his franchise and see what his response was then?
While Tebow may be scared of throwing a pick..Orton was too. I think the biggest issue with this inaccuracy is his footwork.
LSU has 2 great CBs,but don’t know if they are old enough to enter the draft, don’t they have to be juniors to leave early?
The SEC corners are unbelievable this year.
LSU has the Mathieu and Claiborne
Alabama has Kirkpatrick
and the kid I think from South Carolina is Gilmore
Show of hands please… How many bloggers really feel it would be prudent to spend a first rd draft choice on a QB?
Don’t be shy… I feel it is a horrible Idea, but hey.. who am I?
I have seen Griffen play 3 times this Season including his 5TD outburst in the first game of the season… The guy has talent but really reminds me of Andre Ware when he was coming out of Houston, and that really gives me pause…
It makes sense to spend a high pick on Griffen IF Tebow IS our quarterback of the future and our offense is specially built for that type of player… (which I’m all for, as you have read… I really think TT is going to be the guy)…
Griffen will be available in the Second Rd I feel… There are at least five legit First Rd candidates in my mind (Luck, Barkely, Jones, Foley and Keenum) Many will debate Griffen/Keenum but with only three teams having true Running Quarterbacks (Denver, Philly, and Carolina) I feel the demand for Griffen will not be as high as his stats would lead you to believe…
Denver should Draft Defense in Rds 1 2 and 3 next year… We have the base for a MEAN D… and with a ball control offense why not take full advantage?
VON TEBOW FOOTBALL!!!
FTC…
brian UT has a backup QB Matt Simms (Chris’s brother) he’s been benched so many times it ain’t funny,2 freshman beat him out this year, and Simms is a Senior, guess Phil couldn’t pass his genes down to either son!
Tannehil from Texas A&M is projected as the number 4 QB. But I agree, there is a lot of depth in the QB class this year and unless its Luck, it’d be smart to wait.
That is, if we don’t stick with Tebow ofcourse
If we could get Lattimore(RB from SC) in the 2nd 3rd round,he was hurt this season and will be out,but is not injury prone, could fall because of his injury, just saying!!!
The guy is a freaking Beast!
HOF….the SEC is loaded at the CB position this year, maybe we get one?
It seemed as though Chris Simms had some potential before his spleen injury……….was never the same after that.
killerkod…..I forgot about his injury, but never saw any potential in the kid.
I sure hope so, I saw the pair from LSU when they came to Morgantown earlier this year. They are unbelievable. I think CB is definitely our weakest position right now and should be the first position we address in the draft/free agency.
Lattimore isn’t eligible for the draft (I thought he was too) but he is definitely a beast!
I made the mistake again, Tyrann Mathieu is only a Sophomore and is not eligible this year for the draft
I still think we need to work on our D-line.
Honestly…I don’t think we should draft a QB in this draft. Stick to defense and a RB.
Reasoning is…I supported starting Tebow with the 11 game audition mentallity. At this point I think he deserves at least to be named the started for the rest of the season regardless.
It Trent Dilfer can win a SB with a killer D then maybe we give Tebow one more year after this year but that depends on the Ws and Ls of these last six games.
Anyway, bottom line is I say lets build the best D in the league first and formost.
Top 3 CB prospects 2012….source:WalterFootball.com
Dre Kirkpatrick-Alabama
Morris Claiborne-LSU
Stephon Gilmore-South Carolina
new blog
I agree, I don’t want a QB. I just think Elway is going to be tough to win over since he didn’t draft Tebow. I could be wrong
I think our Dline is doing very good with Bunkley and Thomas in the middle, with Warren and Vickerson on IR,Ayers and Doom are solid on the edges,Harvey is a solid backup,we could use some depth tho,in later rounds,I think we go CB and RB in the first 2 rounds,if we don’t go QB.
Just my opinion of course.
the ove rly cautious throws and over all paranoia goes further than tebowi believe. actually makes me think back to some of my harshest criticism of ko. throwaways, in the dirt, and taking sacks. obviously something the coaches are over doing.
sorry for the horrible spacing and spelling. the site has a hard time keeping up with the swype keyboard on my phone.
Cautiosness and sacks are better than INTs in my book. It’s also helpfull when you have Colquitt booming it when we go 3 and out.
For now, Im fine with being timid to make a throw as long as Ws keep coming.
I am looking at killerkod’s score and notice that I am not far off from his….hopefully I can get some points….
