Submit Your Questions for ‘Elway Live’

November 21st, 2011 - 6:22pm by Kenny Legan

Coming off a come-from-behind 17-13 win against the New York Jets Thursday, followed by a weekend in which the players had off, Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway will join Broncos TV’s Chris Hall for another ‘Elway Live’ show at 2 p.m. MDT tomorrow — Tuesday — on DenverBroncos.com. Elway will discuss the team’s comeback against the Jets, the strength of the Von Miller-Elvis Dumervil tandem and much more on the live, online-streamed audio broadcast. The show is 30 minutes long and features fan-submitted questions for Elway.

Questions are currently being taken via Twitter and will continue to be taken during the show. To submit your questions, tweet using the hashtag #ElwayLive.

After the show, the broadcast will be archived to DenverBroncos.com and will also be available as a podcast through iTunes.

On 9NEWS KUSA-TV’s show Monday night, Elway discussed quarterback Tim Tebow’s never-say-die mindset.

“That’s what Tim does, he’s got that competitive nature,” Elway said. “The fact that it’s not over until it’s over and until that clock says 0:00, he figures he’s got a chance to win.”

You’re right no trades, trade deadline has long passed, can only sign guys who are out of the loop now, not guys under contracts.

  2. baylinorcrush says:

Did find Plummer’s approach to the Tebow phenomena refreshing though, and since it’s made within human communication boundaries of which the blog monkey has no clue whatsover it actually carries some weight. It’s all in the delivery and monkey’s delivery is grotesque at best, my cat and dog deliver better messages all day long. What a despicable monkey display.

The orangutan has managed to turn this website into an embarrassment for all bloggers and the blog administration has let it go on and on which for the life of me I can’t understand. Simply shameful that it allows it to get to this low point of allowing nasty sexual innuendos reagrding players, bloggers and their mothers, and cheap attacks on everyone while children as young as 12 years old come here to voice the love of their Broncos. Simply incomprehensible.

Better late than never, the Broncos motto, hopefully it applies in this particular case too, please blog administration ban orangutanblue forever, he used to go by glasnax and has always brought nothing but scum trash on this website, ask Cooper.

Miller needs are votes for Rookie of the week!

  4. killerkod says:

I kinda have to agree with Plummer……….I have no problem with TT and his faith……….it’s a personal thing and I get that. I just don’t see the need to have it told to me in every interview, etc. It’s always kind’ve annoyed me in sports, and at awards shows, etc.

It’s a personal thing and I think it should stay that way.

But hey, that’s just my opinion and I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea………I’m not bashing by any means. That’s the beauty of democracy………we all get to have our own opinions and ideas.

  5. baylinorcrush says:

Tebow is a missionary though and his job is to promote his faith every chance he gets, that’s what you get with Tebow and we all should know that, the players know that and we all have to live with it as long as he is on the team, absolutely zero way around that. Do I like it? No, already voiced my opinion about all that though and not about to go there again, LOL..

  6. killerkod says:

I will be ignoring all of orangutan’s posts from now on………it’s not even worth the response. Guess he’ll start ripping me now too……….

oh well, it’ll be falling on deaf ears.

  7. killerkod says:

to be honest, I was taken back a little after the jets game and all those players from both teams were circled around having a group prayer. I’ve never seen that before………..

  8. baylinorcrush says:

He will be gone for good, no way the blog administration can keep ignoring the fact that he has broken every single rule of the code of ethics that the website posts for the bloggers.

  9. killerkod says:

But really, it all comes down to what you do on the field, and that’s the only way I’ll be judging him as a player.

  10. baylinorcrush says:

I’ve seen it many times before normally for injured players, but seen it after games too.

  11. killerkod says:

I read that coach cower had said that the broncos should utilize Orton to jump start the offense and that Elway said that was a consideration……….

You think there’s any merit to that bay? could it actually work?

  12. royalbroncofan1 says:

Have logged on recently to see terrible dialogue on the website.
Have kept away from even reading everytime I see a certain handle posting. Finally read some good reading posted by sndvl last night.

Surprised this concern has not been addressed by the blog administration.

  13. baylinorcrush says:

    Thank you rbf1

Everyone concerned over the current situation with orangutanblue should e-mail the blog administraition through someone like Gray at:

    gray.caldwell@broncos.nfl.net

If we say nothing and simply stand by this smut will go on!

  14. royalbroncofan1 says:

Thanks for the address bay…. will submit asap!

  15. killerkod says:

or would adding orton into the playbook at this point set the O backwards even further? Would that toy with TT’s confidence?

  16. royalbroncofan1 says:

killerkod… usually a small handful of players gather round after the game for a silent prayer. Tebow didn’t start this trend.
It’s just now the cameras are following him.

  17. baylinorcrush says:

The only reason Tebow is in there now is for Elway to find out what he’s got before next draft as we asked him to do, inserting Orton would do absolutely zero to help us find that out, stupid idea in my book.

  18. baylinorcrush says:

Plus the WR already have huge issues catching Tebow’s ball, imagine if they have to catch a Tebow backward spinning ball, then a normal spinning ball from Orton then back and forth, they might never catch another ball again, LOL.

  19. killerkod says:

    sent as well…………

  20. baylinorcrush says:

If we all due our part we will be able to enjoy this blog again, thank you guys.

  21. baylinorcrush says:

    If we all do, haha

  22. killerkod says:

thans rbf1………….I guess I just never seen it on tv before…..unfortunately I’ve never been to a live game…….sux to be me…..lol.

  23. orangemnm says:

I emailed them as well. What a nut. I just caught up on all the non-sense. You all have more patience than I do. lol.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

Well we tried strangling him but nothing worked.

  25. killerkod says:

I have to agree with you bay………..inserting orton would be a horrible thing to do. I think it would be utterly confusing for the receivers……..they have their hands full adjusting to TT as it is.

If it were the beginning of the season again, I would suggest that they should’ve developed a playbook for both Orton and TT………..utilizing each strength out of the gate. I honestly think the tandem could’ve worked if it was from the get-go.

But trying to revert to that now would be pointless and potenially disasterous.

  26. 1nOnlyTRB says:

I see this orangutan is rubbing everyone the wrong way. Personally haven’t read his post cuz I have zero tolerance for people who talk to themselves on the blog for like 20 posts consecutively. Seeing bay say he is glasnax makes alot of sense.

I think people get too bent out of shape about the elway comparison. They compare their first starts not their career or legacy. And quite frankly Tebow is coming out head and shoulders above most young qbs in their first couple of starts, a legend and frnchise qb like Elway included. So tne question is asked why he is still treated as questionable when stats wise for a young qb he is doing better than alot of legends at the begining. And u can say he is not accurate or watever but we all knew he was an unorthodox qb and would need time ti perfect his craft. If we were losing while that hppened and no improvement was being shown I could understnd the skepticism but we are currently not. And any QB we draft can be a bust, alot of pro readies haave been ala brady quinn, lienart etc.

But I am not mad at elway for not commiting to tebow, when there’s a guy like luck in the draft that’s the best qb prospect since THE peyton manning. Would make anyone think twice before passing on a unorthodox qb, especially when the person making the decisions used to be an orthodox qb. Only makes sense. But tebow can help his case … playoffs is ours for the taking and Tebow has to lead the team. But at least if there’s one thing we know, its that they believe in tebow. And that’s all that matters. I mean when andre goodman says that everyone knew he would make something happen on the sidelines on that last drive, that goes a long way, that’s faith in ur qb. Something orton never had because he was a good game manager and a horrible closer.

As far as tebows display of faith I am all for it. We say in God we trust, before and after games players often get down and pray, after every point most players point to the lord, and when it comes to the press conference they always thank God for the ability and say they are blessed. Mny players, but apparently Tebows is overdose. No one ever gets on dawk, and dawk is almost as out spoken, but he can also knock u out. I just think its because its Tebow saying it and he practices what he preaches and is yet to slip up. And its not like he is doing it to get under anyones skin, its just seriously how he is feeling in the moment. Like it or not most players are Christians and its refreshing to see guys like tebow and dawk actually acknowledge, tweet verses, and openly speak about it. That’s why people that Christianity as a joke because most of its followers don’t really practice it. Muslims never fear to show their faith. Freedom of religion and speech, 2 of the many things that makes the country great. My take at least but maybe its because I grew up a Christian and my father is a Pastor and im relatively active in my church. TRB

  27. strandoftds says:

The guys a fruitcake. The blog administration will ban him. I voiced my opinion earlier last night. Very grotesque and uncalled for. This is a Broncos blog for us fans to enjoy. Keep out those trolls!!!!!!!!!!!

  28. orangemnm says:

TRB, I love your posts. Takes some time to get through them usually, but thank you.

Bay, we had a crazy person with a gun threatening people at Shriever AFB here in Colorado Springs yesterday . . . you don’t think orangutanblue is in the same city as me do you? lol.

  29. baylinorcrush says:

    United we stand.

  30. baylinorcrush says:

Watch out! He did say he lives in Colorado, haha.

  31. strandoftds says:

I`m hoping the blog administration can give us a heads up on that he`s been banned for life so we can rest easy on this site. My God thats horrid to read.

  32. orangemnm says:

Thats ok, I am a firm believer in the second amendment, so I am not too worried. Sad that there are people like that out there though.

  33. baylinorcrush says:

Definitely keep your mothers indoor and lock the doors, LOL

  34. orangemnm says:

I guess I need to go put better locks on my mom’s house then. LOL

  35. baylinorcrush says:

I know I keep thinking about the young children who get on here and have to read smut like that and I’m appaled. It seems for quite a while now the blog administration has sit back a bit on the moderation process and it’s now biting them in the rear, they need to get control of it again.

  36. royalbroncofan1 says:

Coach Cowher said this…. well I guess I would expect that from him as he had almost the same scenario with his QB Neil O’Donnell and Kordell Stewart. (Before Big Ben).
    Thanks Coach, but no thanks….lol.

  37. strandoftds says:

It might be a touchy subject for the blog administration because of the second amendment. I hope I`m wrong.

  38. baylinorcrush says:

They used to have no problems with it, just new employees running the blog is all, Kyle Sonneman would of never standed for it.

  39. strandoftds says:

Orangemnm, I`m in Colorado Springs as well. I heard about that on the news. Trippy stuff.

  40. orangemnm says:

I will just be happy when we can go back to debating Tim Tebow vs. every other quarterback, and how good our defense is playing.

I do hope for a miracle (playoff berth). :D

  41. strandoftds says:

I hear you Bay. like I said, I d like a heads up from them when he is banned. Not sure that`ll happen.

  42. strandoftds says:

Yeah your right. we should be focusing on our Broncos and not some fruitcake.

  43. baylinorcrush says:

If you e-mail Gray, he’ll tell you what’s going on on your e-mail address, that’s the only way you would find out, not on here.

  44. baylinorcrush says:

And you’ll know when he is banned, he won’t be here again. LOL.

  45. strandoftds says:

    Sounds good to me.

  46. baylinorcrush says:

Lots of early week score predictions for the SD game, 13 think we’ll win and 3 we won’t so far.

  47. RabidOrange says:

I’m taking bets on how long it’ll take Doom and Miller to make Crybaby actually cry. lol. I’ll bet the D is licking their chops for the game. Rivers is an INT machine this season, his protection isn’t great, and I don’t think Marcus Thomas was back yet the last time we met, so Matthews won’t be as effective. Couple that with the fact that Tebow is playing the full game and we have a recipe for success. Of course, it’ll have to be in the typical, terrifying fourth quarter manner, but I’ll take it however it comes.

    Broncos – 17
    Chargers – 14

  48. royalbroncofan1 says:

    So Elway/Xanders scouted Robert Griffin/Landry Jones…. interesting.
Didn’t get a chance to read your feedback on that game bay or anyone else, but two totally different QB’s.
Don’t think Jones will be available past the first 10 picks but we’ll see.

  49. baylinorcrush says:

Here is a smart blogger, last two games we score 17 points both times, so he has us scoring 17 again.

  50. orangemnm says:

I know strand. Crazy people out there. I am 28, and even I am wanting to go back to the good ole days. People are getting worse it seems, not better.

My prediction though is Broncos 20, SD 19.

I do hope for a blow out though. Something like 30-3, but, not gonna happen.
