The live, online-streamed audio broadcast show features Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway and is hosted by Broncos TV’s Chris Hall. It is 30 minutes long and features fan-submitted questions for Elway.

This is turning out to be the biggest news in sports. It’s all over ESPN and ESPN 2 and it’s only going to get bigger throughout the next two weeks. Can you imagine what the ratings for the Dolphin game is going to be ? If it was a Monday Night game it would probably rival Super Bowl ratings and I don’t think that’s a stretch….lol
Wanting Tebow to succeed since he came in the league because he’s the ultimate badass on the field (I just love that quality), I got to admit I’m more nervous than happy right now. To all those “experts” that said and are saying he can’t do it, I hope he and the Broncos rams it down their f’n throats.

I for one will say the kid sucks and needs to go when the time is right! This isn’t the time! Get in there, play football and let’s see where we are at! Talent evaluation isn’t rocket science! This isn’t the only position that needs it to, just happens to be the most important one right now!

Let me clarify my stance here. I did not once contradict myself because I stated that I felt Tebow should have been the starting QB since mid last year. That said he has in no way earned the right to start, it has been more of Orton has given enough reason to be benched. I think Tebow will be great but he has had 3 starts and a half last week. STOP declaring him to be amazing let his play speak for itself and prove that he is but based on his performance thus far he is not amazing yet. He brings passion, poise and energy to the field and does give the Broncos a better chance to win but forgive me if I remain fractionally skeptical to him going forward. Unlike many of you yelling for Tebow I have followed him since HS and through College not just when he was drafted and watched a bunch of highlights. He has always had the intangibles of a QB who doesn’t just run the offense but who fuels the team. He will be a winner in this league, he will lead a team to the superbowl. But he is not and never will be John Elway. They are 2 completely different players so quit comparing how they play the only comparison to be made is that maybe Tebow takes us back to glory.
On the topic of Orton I have wanted him benched during each game at the point where it showed he was hurting the team. That does not mean when he comes out for the first series and throws an incomplete pass. Orton was always mediocre he always competed. He earned the opportunity to start in practice and lost it where it counted in the games. Thats it! He was terrible against SD and Tebow was by no way great but he showed he gives the team a chance at winning thats it.
So quit getting on here saying BFE won and everything I said was contradictory because its Ignorant to think that. I’m not an Orton fan and I’m not defending his performance but he doesnt deserve to be bashed thats not what Bronco Fans do. Lets be happy that Fox finally made the right decision and move forward with Tebow as our QB.

Why are we still arguing Orton TT? This change is going in one direction … there will be no more Orton in Denver. Its over.
No one with knowledge of the game thinks TT will not struggle … we all know he will … we all know he needs to work on his accuracy play reads etc … my God the man is a 1 yr pro with 3 starts … we don’t expect magic from day one … but we like enough of what we see to want him to start. And we know Orton is not the guy …. Do we know TT cannot be the guy? No … because we have never played him … how about we save our evaluations of TT till the end of the year. Orton was given many chances. 7 yrs worth and never could cut it. He got the Job and lost the Job all on his own.
Only reason the change was made was because fans were right and the brass knew they couldn’t keep justifying that Orton was our best chance to win the way he was playing.
Sure this whole team sucks …we know it … but if u isolate orton and look at his play … it was very poor … like “Brady Quinn in Cleveland” Poor.
This D needs alot of defensive help … and my only prayer is that TT is the guy because I do not want us to waste another first round pick on a QB … I hope we can all agree that the D needs more loving … and so does the oline. Last thing we need to do is waste a pick on a QB before we find out what we have in our QB … I don’t expect him to play at an elite level … all I expect him to do as a young player is improve because he hasn’t reached his ceiling …. Orton long has. he wasn’t improving he was actually regressing.
So how about we stop arguing Orton TT and stop bashing the guy before he has played 16 games.

Carnage I love your optimism. I also love how you say things like Orton would get killed for throwing the same bad passes Tebow did. For a guy who really loves dissecting, it is surprising that you don’t realize that a second year guy, who’s gotten hardly any snaps this regular season, whom nearly all the analysts said couldn’t complete a pass in this league gets graded a little differently than Orton. You give me a veteran player who says he’s playing the best football of his career and is supposed to be our “best chance to win” you’re darn tootin I’m going to crucify him for not making those throws and so should everybody else. And when Tebow does complete a pass it’s because he’s playing against a prevent defense right? Or it’s because he’s playing a bad pass defense. News flash: the worst defense in the league is still stronger, faster, more experienced and more cohesive than the defense he played against in the senior bowl. As I recall, it was after the senior bowl that the haters really started to say he wouldn’t make it. He’s already made great strides since then. The last game of the preseason he was the only QB to score points. He did it on a 94 yard drive that he engineered ENTIRELY with his arm. Didn’t run once. Take a couple chill pills and enjoy the ride. Quin goes 4/12 for 26 yards and one interception in that same game. But yeah it’s such a joke that Tebow is starting over Quinn. Just enjoy the ride, dude. Sheesh.

Sndvl, you know what’s crazy about Vick breaking the all time QB rushing record? He’s halfway through is career and he missed 3 and half seasons. Talk about a whole ‘nother class, right? Crazy. If he stays healthy and keeps up that kind of pace for the rest of his career that record may never be broken. Unless it’s by Tebow haha!
I dont think anyone could deny that this was the perfect time to switch. now they have 2 weeks to come up with a gameplan for Tebow and 2 weeks for Tebow to get all the reps that he needs.
I’m interested to see that if Tebow gets injured who goes in Quinn or Orton? This debate can be settled quickly if they trade Orton but just curious.

And if given the chance Tebow will break most QB rushing records unless he eveolves into more of a passer, and he could still break the records at that point. Dont be suprised if he ends up setting the single season TD record at some point either

Now I am excited to find out what our offense is going to be! Yes hopefully Tebow turns out great, so we can focus on out D in the draft, and because of all the people tearing Tebow down before he has shown any extensive playing time! Kids got alot of heart and passion which if you understand momentum has shown up as points on the score board. Now I’m also excited to see if he can progress into a very intelligent and good QB!

I’m just trying to stay level headed but I cannot wait to see Tebow against Miami just the perfect ciircumstance for him to begin hopefully a long tenure as our starting QB
There are obviously going to be growing pains with any young QB. Every good or bad thing Tebow does however will be scrutinized by the media and fans alike. He’s not going to come in and perform like Manning or Brady I think we can all agree on that. I also agree that while his strength is scrambling he does need to work on his pocket pressence both for his career longevity and to be a better QB. I think the game has evolved too much to not have a QB with at least some decent pocket presence. I expect us to all be patient, because we gave Orton 2.25 seasons of our patience and I know this next start by Tebow for some is a “must” or “bust” a “make” or “break” game. That’s my problem why do people expect him to come in looking like Manning or Brady that’s just rediculous. He’s going to make mistakes, he’s going to learn, he’s going to do whatever it takes to be successful. Like I always have said, if he does fail, it won’t be because he didn’t give everything he’s got and done everything in his power to succeed.
If he trains like he did in G’ville, the law will be called to Dove Valley more than once. Several times he was in the film room watching film or on the traing ground working out with receivers well after midnight. It got so that they literally had to make him go home to get some rest. He was that much into his training and learning the opposing teams different looks, etc. Tebow will be just fine. Give him the chance he deserves and he will produce. Let’s face it folks. Take away the 1st half of the SD game and the score was Denver 14/SD 6. Now that’s looking positive to me.
I think Tebow needs to play spectacular, just like it was required of Orton, in order to be the long term Denver QB. He has to be with the draft class this year. Even if Elway can’t get Lucky, Landry Jones, Matt Barkley, Kellen Moore and James Vandenburg, kid out of Iowa, are all projecting as NFL starters.
But that wasn’t the score. It was 29-24. The final, the loss, is how it goes down on the record book. 1-4. Worst start since 99. Now it’s Tebow Time. For better. Or worse.

I know that sndvl. I was just throwing that out there. I have absolutely no intention in starting, or getting involved in this ridiculous debate some have had on here the last 16 hours or so. The only thing I was doing was pointing out that for his half, with no practice with the 1st team; he outscored SD 14 to 6. That’s all. Just plain facts. Believe me; I know we lost the game.
Elway do you want tebow to fail,so you can draft luck, i know this qustion wont be asked,because every show i have watched on elway live. its like its scripted to what questions are asked. its like watching politics, please just tell us denver fans,do you want tebow to fail to get luck,and did you inform fox to make a play book for tebow to fail.
Please don’t mention 1999 season…. no more Elway, we lose TD to a knee injury effectively ending his career. Those 2 memories are just not good.
I’m really curious how the team feels about this. There was talk earlier in the season by some analysts that Fox would lose the locker room if Tebow was named the starter or that the players would be against it.
I wonder if that was all speculation or if it came from players to an inside source. Not that it matters now since it’s done but I’m curous if the players fully support the decision now.

First of all I don’t think we are the worst team to end up with number one pick. So with that because luck is so hyped up as one of those once and lifetime qbs. Do we trade everthing to get him. Because if we are even second pick againe we will trade a lot to get him. And I am not fine with that especially. With all of our holes in our d and are team.

ESPN’s Skip Bayless said it best after watching your comments, you don’t deserve Tebow so trade him to a team who does instead of hoping he fails which your comments suggest. Or you can do what the Denver fans wish you would and work with him to improve and be our future. Very disappointing John.

I dissagree a bit sndvl … don’t think TT has to play spectacular … I think he has to play good enough, improving week by week to prove to the brass that there is something there. I do believe its possible he will play spectacular … the question is if it will be in the way they like … Like ive always said … don’t care how the QB gets it done as long as he does. But the brass wants a pocket guy and TT will become that in time. Vick aint become a pocket passer over night. Lotta good QBs coming out its true … but just like every year … u cannot predict … they are all shots in the dark … no one is a gauranteed NFL starter … might end up with someone worse than what we already got. Luck is the only one that seem peyton manning-esque. I think we have to give TT this year … if we see improvement start him next year … i don’t think 11 games will be enough to decide on TT … he is a 1 year pro … thats not even a full season … Orton had 7 seasons. Maybe you are already trying to overdue your expectations friend. I think we should judge Tebow on whether he leads us to wins or losses. Easy and simple way to judge his talent with no fudge either way.
I never expected Ort to be “spectacular” nobody did. We just expected him to be careful and manage the game. He didn’t get it done and now it’s over. There’s no reason to hold the kid to a higher standard than his predecessor with 7 years’ experience under his belt…

a couple of weeks ago it went from, you don’t want him to lose confidence by starting too early, to placing him in a game 23 to 10. over the alledged 2nd qb. tebow was just thrown under the bus folks. and we lose 29 to 24. out scoring the orton lead offence by 9 points.
tell us again that nothing tebow did mattered because we still lost. ask tebow and he will agree.
not one tebow supporter said he looked or played solid, you jumped the gun carnagebronc. proving your orton support may have not been team motivated at all. tebows first half game of the season pulled us within 5. a loss by such a bargain that two of the three loses prior to this one would be chalked up and labeled close but our defense failed. why not the same this week.
my thoughts, tebow disappointed the hell out of me. he and any level headed thinking person knew, if given the call he would have to come out the gate swinging. instead he looked like he was already in over his head. looked like a fool. but he settled in and things happened. points were put on the board, I don’t give one once of exploitive, why, what, etc. he put points on the board, thets what you need. aaron rodgers, is leading the nfl with a horrible defense. he puts points on the board and they win. the offense sets the tone pain and simple. the tone changed drastically with 15 behind center.
that tone or spark is lit and it is up to tebow to keep it a flame. considering the fire had been smoldering under orton, it will either melt some faces or die completely under tebows watch.

I think they should have made the move in the offseason to Tebow. Orton is a good QB but not for us. Tebow has many things to work on but his attitude, energy, and work ethic are what we need. The energy when he came in this Sunday and even going back to last season is something real and fun to watch. Will he make mistakes yes as will every QB, but I do believe he gives us the best chance to win. This year like the last 2 is a rebuilding year and personally think we should have started our rebuilding QB Mr. Tebow. Good luck Orton to where ever you end up next year hope the fans are better to you there and congratulations on your new baby that is probably the best thing to happen to you since coming to Denver. Lets go Bronco’s its Tebow time!
