Submit Your Questions for ‘Elway Live’

January 2nd, 2012 - 6:08pm by Kenny Legan

For the first time in six years, the Denver Broncos are in the postseason. As a result, ‘Elway Live’ returns Tuesday at 2 p.m. MST for a special playoff edition.

Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway will join Broncos TV’s Chris Hall for the live, online-streamed audio broadcast on DenverBroncos.com. Elway and Hall will breakdown the team’s loss to Kansas City and look ahead to the Broncos home playoff game Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The show is 30 minutes long and features fan-submitted questions for Elway.

Questions are currently being taken via Twitter and will continue to be taken during the show. To submit your questions, tweet using the hashtag #ElwayLive.

After the show, the broadcast will be archived to DenverBroncos.com and will also be available as a podcast through iTunes.

On 9NEWS KUSA-TV’s show Monday night, Elway talked about the mixed emotions of the team after losing to the Chiefs yet still getting a spot in the playoffs.

“We’re in and that’s the thing,” Elway said. “I think everybody’s disappointed at how we played yesterday and I think that’s the bigger cause of being downbeat about where we are because of how we played. But if you look at the beginning of the year and where we started and what our goals were, to be able to win the division, we got that done. It’s a positive.”

    Hang in there weatherman!

  2. seweatherman1 says:

By the way Bay, I don’t care what anyone says, I, for one, really appreciate your posting the “important” news on here every day. I may not get on here and tell you that enough, but I do read it every day.

  3. BeastFromEast92 says:

BTW,did anybody see the Kicker for Stanford praying before he lost the game last night(missed 2 FGs) that would have won the game,God is not in football games,he dosen’t care who wins!!!

  4. BeastFromEast92 says:

Bay,keep on keeping on bro,I am reading and drinking my morning coffee!

  5. seweatherman1 says:

    Thanks BFE, appreciate it!

  6. Bronco_Turtle says:

BFE! Morning… I as well am drinking my Coffee…

I feel for the kicker… he missed 3 FG’s in that game… after only missing 3 all year…

I’m getting excited for Sunday… Clark may not play for Pitt either due to his blood condition…

I really thought you were just joking Dan. Playing along with the caged fight joke. Ive defintiely been there and it sucks but being a young man I didn’t have a family to take care of.(was there up til about 2 months ago). I was straigh tout of college so I was unemployed for a long time and it definitely wears on you. All you can do is just keep applying, even when it feels like all you rresumes are disapeering into some infinite blackhole on the internet.

Bears just fired their GM DeAngelo.

  9. seweatherman1 says:

Wow, Black Monday rolling over into Tuesday. How many does that make so far this year?

  10. killerkod says:

I’m back and by the read, it looks like I missed out on a lot of banter! lol

Sorry to hear weatherman………..chin up and move on bro!

I guess that’s all that can be said to TT right now too ironically enough.

  11. Broncfalls says:

That guy sucks SO BAD!!!!!!! good for fellow family Bear Fans…my lord he was awful!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  12. baylinorcrush says:

That’s the third GM to get the axe, interesting year, Colts Rams and Bears, and Rams are the only one who fired the HC too, Colts still mulling over Irsay but Lovie Smith seems safe. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if come Monday another GM bites the dust, LOL.

  13. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Bears do suck at drafting talent. They may wanna invest in a 3 prong system like us … aint yielding as much fruit as we would liike yet but it will only get better.

  14. seweatherman1 says:

No, actually TRB, it happened a couple of months ago. I just had not said anything on here about it. The only reason I did now was that elwaywins running his mouth.

  15. brian_schneider says:

The Bears know a thing or two about drafting talent..they drafted Orton!

  16. 1nOnlyTRB says:

I can see Nolan becoming the HC in Miami.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6
Romans 8:28 in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
    1 Corithians 1:27 God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

  18. 1nOnlyTRB says:

if he iseven interested that is

  19. baylinorcrush says:

Not Irsay, that’s the owner, meant HC Caldwell.

  20. 1nOnlyTRB says:

I wonder who the first round draft pick from college will be this year … when talking about coaches that is LOL … especially after the way harbaugh succeeded

    TRB

  21. baylinorcrush says:

    Early bible class today.

  22. strandoftds says:

I wonder where Jeff fisher is going to land as HC?

  23. baylinorcrush says:

Seems to me now that Irsay wants to draft Luck since he fired Polian, the guy who they hired in 98 and immediately drafted Manning. Irsay must of been too worried that Polian would hold on to Manning and bypass Luck, or allow him to be traded to some team like us for multiple draft picks. It’s going to be an awesome QB draft for sure.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

    He is considered by Miami.

  25. strandoftds says:

So the Stanford Cardinals lost their bowl game in OT, interesting. I only watch the first quarter.

  26. BeastFromEast92 says:

Word is Fischer is interested in SD and St louis.

  27. Bronco_Turtle says:

12 att – 22 comp for 70 yards – 0 TD – 1 INT… Tebow you ask? no, but very Tebow like… Sacked 4 times for -33 yards for a Net Passing Yardage of 37…

11 att – 25 comp for 99 yards – 1 TD – 2 INT… Sacked 4 times for 21 yards for a net total of 78 yards… Again, this man’s team won both of these games in back to back weeks… and I could go on… and on

This quarterback did win the Superbowl the season when he produced these stat lines however …

These 11 games for Tebow and 3 from last season have all kinds of Stat lines to compare… For those that say Tebow had a ‘year’ to develope last year, it is worth considering he is on his 3rd coach in two years and he is only doing what he is being asked to do…

Lot’s of things could be better with this team, but the fact that they are where they are is a testament to hard work… Tebow does have the talent to be an NFL QB, regardless of what the last two games have shown… KC held Aaron Rodgers to 14 points two weeks ago, and most of you can’t get off of Rodgers Nuts, so please at least hold Tebow to a common standard…

Point of my post… Guess the QB who put up those two stat lines and still managed to win those games by 10+ points…?

  28. BeastFromEast92 says:

strand, you missed a great game bro……right down to the very end!

  29. Bronco_Turtle says:

Bay, I agree that Irsay is paving the way for the Luck Era to begin… I was surprised by that news, not that they are taking luck, but the fact they fired the higher ups, and still have Caldwell…

  30. strandoftds says:

Thats good, I don`t want to see him go to S.D. if Norv Turner is 86th. Fisher is a very good HC I think.

  31. Bronco_Turtle says:

    * Ummmm those stats are backwards, obviously he can’t have more completions than attempts… sorry

  32. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, I picked the right team on that one, the kicker from Austin missed two FGs, the winning one in regulation, real short one, a gimme, and the one to tie it in OT, poor guy better get the heck out of Standford in a hurry and get back to Austin.

WR Blackmon is the bomb, Okl. St. had Dez now they have Blackmon, what’s up with that?

  33. BeastFromEast92 says:

Agreed strand, wouldn’t want Fischer to turn SD into a contender, lol.

  34. strandoftds says:

I couldn`t stay up, still feeling a little out of it. If Tebow doesn`t work out I`d like the oppertunity to get Luck in a trade with the Colts.

  35. seweatherman1 says:

TRB, do you still have that email I sent to you Nov. 8th?

  36. BeastFromEast92 says:

Blackmon 186 receiving yards and 3 TDs(which tied a Fiesta Bowl Record).

  37. baylinorcrush says:

Tebow is the only man on this Earth who can have more completions than attempts, BELIEVE! LOL.

  38. seweatherman1 says:

Strand, the only way the Colts are going after Luck is if Manning will not be able to play. Then they will take Luck. If they do, they will not trade him.

  39. BeastFromEast92 says:

Weeeden(QB from OS) would be a prospect coming out,but the guy is 28 years old.

  40. strandoftds says:

Watch Tim have a breakout game of the century against the Steelers. Wishful thinking on my part. I believe in miracles!

  41. BeastFromEast92 says:

Luck 27-31 347 yards 2 TDs 1 int, showed a lot of poise last night,he will definitely be the #1 draft pick!

  42. baylinorcrush says:

weatherman, I think that way of thinking took a serious hit when they fired Polian, Manning’s godfather sort of speak. Have you heard how publicly disappointed about it Manning has been? Manning is probably on the way out is my feeling.

  43. BeastFromEast92 says:

He beter if he wants to start in 2012!

  44. BeastFromEast92 says:

    *better

  45. strandoftds says:

I haven`t seen Daddy`s handle come up, What gives? Hope everything is cool with him.

  46. baylinorcrush says:

His handle has been banned for some reason, he has been posting with a dadx13 handle or something like that.

  47. BeastFromEast92 says:

Manning was dissappointed and angry,Manning dosen’t get angry very often,I’d say he may demand a trade, hopefully to Denver, lol.

  48. baylinorcrush says:

The joke about the ban was the Organization has enough with one missionary on the team, LMAO!

  49. BeastFromEast92 says:

He said something about changing his handle to Missionary man,or something like that, lol.

  50. seweatherman1 says:

Honestly Bay, with this being his 3rd surgery on his neck, and the seriousness of his neck injury this thim, I figured he was done a long time ago. My opinion, if Manning goes back on that field now after all his neck problems, they will carry him off on a strecher. He needs to retire and get into coaching qb’s for a living.
