Elway and Hall will breakdown the team’s victory over the Vikings and plenty more on the live, online-streamed audio broadcast. The show is 30 minutes long and features fan-submitted questions for Elway.

“It was one of those where we hung in there and kept fighting,” Elway said on 9NEWS KUSA-TV’s show Monday night. “I think that’s been the thing that we’ve been doing all year. I think especially yesterday, when the defense was on the field as long as they were and we struggled a little bit at least in the first half offensively, but then we were able to pick it up in the second half and make some big, big plays, which ultimately won the football game for us.”

Hear more of Elway’s thoughts on yesterday’s game as well as looking ahead to the Broncos’ Week 14 opponents, the Chicago Bears, on ‘Elway Live’ on Tuesday.

  17. wbickley47 says:

I used to love the Denver Broncos when John Elway was the Quarterback. How exciting it was watching those many 4th quarter comebacks. Now with Tim Tebow, I’m getting the same old feelings once again. The two quarterbacks have different styles of playing but both have that winning ability. Tebow still has a lot to learn, but who knows how far he can carry this team with more experience. You have mgot to love it.

  18. cgyj says:

When I was a teenager the first full game I ever watched was the drive with John Elway bringing the Broncos back to beat the Browns. Now I see the 2011 version of John Elway in Tim Tebow. I hope you keep him. Because if we get rid of him and end up losers again like we’ve been for a while now it won’t be good.

  22. eternalorangeandblue says:

As a VP, what does it feel like to be on the other end of those dramatic comebacks? Whats it like watching it on the sideline now, as oppose to doing it on the field all those years ago?

  23. daddybronc says:

777 -Yes – it is really amazing to me.

We have a distinct moment of transition. It was in the second half of the first game against San Diego. We all watched it. We all know it. Same defense – same opponent – same coaching- and same offensive scheme. The only thing that changed from the first half to the second was the quarterback. There was a moment in history when the Broncos fortunes for the 2011 season changed, and it was the moment Tim Tebow stepped on the field that the the Broncos season changed!!!

First half of the game – the Broncos are practically a no-show. The stands are being rocked by fans chanting – Tebow!!! Tebow!!! The billboards outside the stadium – “START TIM TEBOW”! We were all throwing stale pizza and corn chips at the screen. We were fed up with our coaches, our O-line, our defense,….we were just plain fed up!!! Orton’s response to all the hoopla was to throw another interception!

I am sick unto death of hearing that it is a team win. Of course it is a team win – but game time without Tebow it is a team loss!!! (I remember everyone saying that – Orton didn’t lose it – no one played well enough. BTW – individuals continue to make mistakes – we still haven’t pulled it all together) I think bloggers, writers, commentators, and football experts become completely irrelevant when they have to say it was a team win or loss. They are insinuating something that removes the credit from Tebow as the catalyst for wins. (I still think winning is overrated – I was more thrilled by the drama of the first SD game, than I was by the second.) I think it was TRB who wrote a great blog on this subject a few days ago. (If it wasn’t TRB – kudos anyway to who ever it was.)

Fox as coach of the year? – we were all calling for Fox’s head. Bay was wisely cautioning the more agitated bloggers to be aware that Fox is here for several years. Fox would get his chance. Now that Fox made the only decision available and safe for him to make – he is a genius – a coaching guru! Give me a break! If Fox is wise, he will ride Tebow’s magic carpet into the record books, just like Shanny rode on Elway’s magic rug.

A lot of folks need to start giving Tebow his due credit. I found the article linked to by SNDVL to be comical. The author wants to give the credit to Tebow’s parents and upbringing, but not his faith….? That’s kind of like giving credit to his kidney but not his liver, or his physical skills but not his intellegence. What? Kind of like- dissect the QB to see what’s in there. What is this guy thinking? I know…. it’s the God thing! As free born, educated, intelligent, American’s we refuse to accept the concept of God. We refuse to see it – hear it – like it – or give it any credence whatsoever. But while I’m sitting here furiously typing out recognition for the Tebow turn-around – I for one see clearly that God’s blessing is on the life of the young man! Along with blessing the young man, his life and career, God is blessing every Bronco teammate and Bronco fan, in his wake. The Tebow Train / bandwagon is the biggest the NFL has ever seen. It has little to do with ‘little Timmy’. The Bible states clearly – “He who Honors Me – him I will honor.” If you don’t like it…stick your head in the sand…because it is a bit in our faces for some time into the future, and it cannot fail unless Tim capitulates and fails to “Honor God”. I’m not talking religion – you folks know where I stand and that is enough – I am discussing the phenomenon. It is the only explanation that can encompass the scope of the “Tebow” phenomenon, and frankly, it’s bigger than football!

    God Bless!

  24. G_moneycricket says:

    God Bless the Denver Broncos.

Insomnia your lack of sleep must be affecting your mind.

  28. stevecan2 says:

Tim will never stop. Fret not daddybronc. We all know he is the real deal. Not by his words but by the way he lives his life. My only concern with tebow is that some day, something will happen, he will fall short and when that day comes, millions of people will be like the lion and pounce.

  29. old_fan_taylor says:

I don’t tweet – so will someone please ask John Elway a question for me?
When we are losing as fans we are expected to cheer and support our team buy tickets and watch the games hope for better believe in the coaches.
John Elway, are you a fan? Why can’t you put your support behind Tebow? Tim is beating a lot of QBs out there but most of all he beat Rivers.
John I’m ashamed of you. John I’m embarrassed for you. Tebow will get better. For someone who had no off season and has fake front office support I’m very proud of Tim Tebow.
If you let him go then I will have no choice but to follow him to whatever team he goes too.
I will return as a Broncos fan after his career is over.

  30. shaztah says:

WOW!!!! NFL. com has us listed as the 8th best team in the nation. Who would have guessed that? I am so proud to be a Bronco fan :)

  31. brian_schneider says:

You know, I can see it from Elway’s perspective too. You’ve been the lifeblood of the franchise for years. When people think of the Broncos they think “John Elway.” I know he wants to restore the franchise to the state they once were in. I can see why he is hesitant and wants to make sure the decisions he makes is in the best interest of the organization and not his personal feelings. Which is good because if they were Tebow might not have even gotten the chance to start.
I like Tebow I think he’s brought happiness back to the Broncos fans..well most of the fans haha. I do think given an offseason and more experience, he’ll become a better passer. We just need to continue in to build our running game too. It wasn’t until we had Davis that we won the big show.

  32. killerkod says:

I wish people would lay off Elway for not coming out and proclaiming a love-fest for Tebow.

He doesn’t say that Tebow is not the future of the franchise. He doesn’t say that Tebow is not a good player. He doesn’t say that having Tebow is a bad thing.

Why is everyone so concerned about the QB situation next year? We are in the middle of a playoff race. Let’s worry about this season right now……….and as of right now, TT is the QB.

There has to be a lot of evaluation done in the off-season…….and the QB position is no different. TT is making it harder and harder for the broncos brass not to go with him next year, and that’s what he’s supposed to do.

But don’t fault Elway cause he still doesn’t know…….he JUST DOESN’T KNOW!!!

As I’ve said before, isn’t it better for him to be honest now instead of saying he’s def the guy and do a 180 in the off-season. Then the trust would be completely out the window.

And btw – I love what TT is bringing to the team……….but he is only one man, and a part of the TEAM. My concern is with the team as a whole, not one individual player.

  33. baylinorcrush says:

It’s unbelievable how people are taking sides between Tebow and Elway.

Elway has absolutely zero incentive at this point to say what direction he wants to go because Tebow is a big boy unlike some bloggers here and he can handle himself just fine under any kind of adversity no matter what pressure he is under.

That ‘s how he has thrived his entire life.

That Elway says he is the man now would do absolutely nothing for Tebow because he fights with all his heart all the time. He is not the kind of guy that responds to life by what he is dealt, rather he deals life his beliefs and they are stronger than life itself.

So leave Elway alone and respect him for what he does.

He has 4 more games and maybe more to make his mind up and he should use all of that.

In reality you guys are not mad at Elway for treating Tebow that way, you are just mad at Elway for treating YOU that way.

Grow some and get over it!

This is a business and Elway is making the smartest decision he can, looking at all his options, and if Tebow turns out to be the best one he will be announced our long term QB in due time, but until season end there is zero to gain to say so now, in fact that’s the fire that is driving Tebow now, it could turn out to be one of the smartest thing Elway has ever done. And maybe he is doing it for just that reason.

Sheeesh…attacking Elway, what kind of Bronco fans are these people???

Certainly won’t miss any of the Tebow fans who want to leave the Broncos if Tebow isn’t the guy, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

    GO BRONCOS!

That right there tells it all.

I remained a Bronco fan through McD, I certainly can handle anything else, LOL.

  34. killerkod says:

I could’nt have said it better myself bay……….

Actually, I didn’t, re: my post before yours! hahaha

  35. baylinorcrush says:

And thank god there are still some smart sports writers out there and Legwold is saying what I have been saying all along:

There is a school of thought the Broncos should not search for a quarterback in April’s draft because Tim Tebow is 6-1 as a starter this season.

The reality is the Broncos should take a quarterback in the April draft, no matter what happens the rest of the season. The questions are what kind of quarterback and how high in the draft.

    Why?

Any team that passes on a quarterback in a draft this heavy in good quarterbacks needs to be sure it doesn’t need one. Scouts consider this a strong quarterback class overall, with Stanford’s Andrew Luck at the top. And Tebow is the only quarterback on the Broncos’ roster under contract for next year.

The Broncos either will need a backup quarterback who has a similar skill set as Tebow in 2012, to avoid having two different offensive playbooks, or they will need competition for him as a starter.

Either way, that entails drafting a quarterback. Right now the Broncos have one playbook for Tebow behind center. They would go to another playbook if Tebow were injured and Brady Quinn had to go in a game.

If Tebow is the long-term starter, the Broncos will have to find a way to draft a backup with a similar skill set. They can’t revamp the offense every time there’s an injury. There has to be a Plan B that includes somebody who can play the position in a similar fashion.

RG3 is that man to me without the slightest bit of hesitation, and go ahead and use our first pick to get him. And BFE, agreed 100%, said it before, Robert Griffin III for Heisman, hands down, whether he gets it or not is a different matter because my vote won’t count, LOL.

  36. Bronco_Turtle says:

Anyone that can’t see the politics that happen in the front office don’t undrstand business… Much like many that enjoy football on Sunday don’t understand what they are watching!!!

My internet was off yesterday afternoon, and do to weather it may be in and out all week…

    Tebow is not going anywhere…

Elway and Tebow WILL win a Superbowl together…

Robert Griffin is not the best player in College Football… not even the Best player at his position…

VON TEBOW FOOTBALL!!! Believing feels good!!!

    Be back in the PM….

    :o )

  37. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Yes it was me who said it Daddy and I agree with ur post. His faith is who he is. Giving credit to his parents but not his faith is ridiculous. I didn;t read the article but based on what you say, its stupid. Christianity is a teaching, and that teaching is the foundation for tebows parents, parenting.

Elways doesn’t have to crown Tebow the guy. Once upon a time Orton was 6-0 too. Elway is just doing his job and doing it well. I mean this is the same guy who when Tebow time comes around he comes down to the field to watch. Like bay said and I agree, Tebow doesn’t need to know he is the guy for him to be confident. His mental toughness is probably the only thing that outdoes his physical toughness. The kid will be fine.

I personally think we shouldn’t draft a QB personally and if we do NOT in the first round (rather have a veteran QB behind him). Like I said all along, Tebow is the best chance to not draft a QB based on his performace they will have less incentive to, and based on how the season ends, they may not be high enough to. But lets not forget, even if we draft a QB .. its no inditement on Tebow. He plays reckless … same reason the Eagles got VY for vick. Tebow is making this decision hard, and thats what it is .. hard … even for the powers at be. This is not a simple decision. This decision can shape the future of this franchise for the next couple of years. So seat back relax and enjoy the ride.

I will say that Fox has done a great Job because he was wise enough to listen to fans calling for Tebow, He was even wiser to listen and change to somethign more tebow friendly, and him and allen have made this D full of AVG players look like beast by switching to the 4-3. So much credit to Fox and coaching staff … especially when it comes to half time adjustments.

I will say one thing … Tebow is the man. Can give the team all the credit and thats fine because its a team sport .. that goes without saying. But like it or freaking not … we were 1-4 when he took over and he has changed this team. Everyone responds differently. Even Bay Bay said on NFL network that its just somethign they FEEL in the locker room. They don’t talk about Tebows effect on them but they all “FEEL” it. And thats all that matters. What hte teammates feel. And I will say this … for a kid that has been doubted at every level and succeeded it was pretty stupid to doubt him on this level. Its much easier to just let things play out. But he doesn’t care … doubt him, motivate him and God will continue to work wonders in his life because there is nothing (for believers) that God likes than a guy who is not ashamed to show his faith and takes every opportunity to say it … not just to say it … but because he believes that all gifts come from above … many players believe its a God given talent as well … he is just one of those that always remembers to redirect the glory … especially for a guy that gets so much glory … redirects it to God first and then his teammate … whats to hate. The kid is one of the best college football players to EVER play the game … and yet comming into the league he was treated like a pariah … shows you how ridiculous the evaluation system is. Not everyone is cut the same. And for Tebows sake I pray he keeps succeeding and makes something for his self, not only for him and this team, but hopefully to change the mindset of alot of people on what an NFL QB can be. Tebow doesn’t define his life by football, its just a sport he loves to play and is good at. And thats probably why he does it so well.

    First Take is great today!!!

Skip is about to turn Stephen A Smith into a Tebow Believer!!! ;o)

    Just takes a little time

  39. strandoftds says:

Guys like that will never be believers, controversy sells, don`t you get it?

  40. OrangeTsunami says:

Ask the Carolina Panthers how it turned out to use a #1 and #2 round draft pick on a QB in back to back years..

Drafting a QB with a high pick is crazy, kind of like a dog chasing his tail… We have a team that is starting to give opposing teams match up problems and we need to keep pushing the envolope.. With a reinforced defense (especially a solid CB), that is the formula to beat the Packers, Patriots, & Saints.. Not a young, no experience back QB taking up bench space

Tebow is also a very unique guy with a very unique skill set, and to say we’re gonna draft a guy like him is crazy.. If he gets hurt, we should switch to a more tradtional offense, which we are already transitioning over to anyway (I think we only ran the option for a couple of plays on Sunday). It that were to be the case, we have Weber, maybe Quinn or maybe an experienced FA, but not with a top draft pick, that’s just crazy talk…

Lastly, to say we can’t switch our style of offense mid season is nuts – considering we did just that this year and it seems to be working!!!

  41. stevecan2 says:

Stephen smith i doubt will ever like tebow. I have atheory as to why but think it not bet to say it exactly on the blogs due to the preception of read words would make it appear out of context. But i will say its not christianity and its not his skill set, just something that tebow is not supposed to be able to do.

  42. strandoftds says:

Daddy, I totally agree with your 12:55 a.m. post. Very moving. And, yes, Tim Tebows being mightily blessed by God! Kind of like Joseph in the old testement: (Everything he touches, flourishes).

  43. baylinorcrush says:

Calling the Broncos a tsunami is crazy, crazy talk, huundreds of thousand of people die in those things, that’s just crazy, nuts, crazy, LMAO!

  44. baylinorcrush says:

You’ve been in N-Y too long, crazy, LOL.

  45. strandoftds says:

If we are to draft a QB and we better to fit Tims SYSTEM if he gets injured, I`m thinking around the later rounds of this draft. Thats just me though. If we draft MG3 it wouldn`t surprize me. I`d be thinking, ok, atleats we know that a plan for Tebow is in place. For our first round pick, I`d like a CB if I were EFX.

  46. strandoftds says:

RG3 is going to be a scary QB some day. He`s very talented, and I like the guy.

  47. OrangeTsunami says:

Tell that to the Miami or Carolina Hurricanes boss….

An Orange Tsunami is a reference to how Bronco pride would spread accross the nation, which seems to be happening….

  48. strandoftds says:

If Tebow gets hurt, going back to a traditional style playbook would be football suicide, poor game plan there. LOL

  49. OrangeTsunami says:

You guys seriously think we’re going to continue this style of offense if Tebow gets hurt or fails?? Not a chance.. We’re doing it b/c we see something in the kid, but it will last only as long as he does

  50. baylinorcrush says:

    Crazy plan, haha.
