Spreading the Wealth

October 7th, 2010 - 3:17pm by Gray Caldwell

Since the franchise moved to Baltimore, the Ravens have typically been defined by their defense.

A physical, hard-nosed group led by stalwart Ray Lewis has been a staple of the team year after year.

But in 2010, the other side of the ball presents just as many problems — particularly in the passing game.

“They probably have the best group in the league,” Champ Bailey said. “The guys are experienced and we have our hands full this week with them.”

The Ravens’ success has come from the ability to spread the ball around the field. Of the team’s top five pass-catchers this season, two are receivers, one is a tight end, one is a running back and one is a fullback. And that’s excluding T.J. Houshmandzadeh — No. 6 on the team’s reception list — who leads the squad in yards per catch and caught the game-winning touchdown last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In other words, quarterback Joe Flacco has plenty of options. And the young signal caller, who Defensive Coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale said “can throw a strawberry through a battleship,” can take advantage of those weapons on any given play.

“If you take one or two of them away, you are going to get hurt by somebody else,” Head Coach Josh McDaniels said. “You have to play everybody well on every pass.”

Virtually every offensive weapon the Ravens have has been to a Pro Bowl — those top six pass-catchers have 12 trips to the NFL’s all-star game between them.

And the receivers’ skill sets aren’t limited to one facet of the game.

“You have some guys that are deep threats, some guys that are third-down (threats),” Martindale said. “All these guys are good football players and that’s the thing that jumps off the tape at you.”

While the defense knows it can’t stop every weapon on every play, Brian Dawkins said the unit is going to make it hard on every one of them.

“We are going to have to make sure that we are tight on the coverages and make sure that — just like we have every week — everybody’s assignment is sound and we get to the ball,” Brian Dawkins said. “Get there and make sure that we bring a physical presence with us when we get there.”

Bailey can’t wait for the challenge.

“Whoever I am on, that is who I am trying to take away,” the veteran cornerback said. “I don’t won’t to give up too much about what we are going to do, but somebody is going to be in a dog fight all day.”

MEN IN BLACK

Cassius Vaughn and Kyle McCarthy donned black jerseys on Thursday, signifying that they excelled in practice in the week leading up to last Sunday’s victory against the Tennessee Titans.

INJURY REPORT

Spencer Larsen (ankle), Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) and Jamal Williams (non-injury related) did not participate in Thursday’s practice. Andre’ Goodman (quadricep) and Wesley Woodyard (hamstring) saw limited participation in the session. Bailey (non-injury related), who did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, was back in action.

For the Ravens, T Jared Gaither (back), LB Tavares Gooden (shoulder), DE Paul Kruger (knee) and WR Donte’ Stallworth (foot) did not participate in practice for the second day in a row — all four players have been listed as out of Sunday’s game. CB Fabian Washington (illness) did not participate on Thursday. LB Edgar Jones (thigh) had limited participation for the second consecutive practice, and TE Todd Heap (shoulder), RB Le’Ron McClain (shoulder) and RB Ray Rice (knee) all participated fully in Thursday’s session.

Yea, there is no reason to get all worked up about this!! Yes, I understand that they were very close to a deal but just like some people have said that they probably want to see just how he does the rest of this year! He has been getting hurt quite a few times and seems like he is becoming injury prone. He is still by far top 3 in the league, I think the best, but they just have to play it out on both sides!

Some people on here are acting like they are screwing him over…they are not! McD has complete respect for Champ and would never do that! With me saying that that doesn’t mean that I am a “McD fan”. Just because someone believes in a coach or believes what he is trying to get done doesn’t mean that they are in love with the coach!! People keep trying to divide out the fan base and it needs to stop!!

We all have one passion here and that’s our Broncos. We all need to support each and every person/player in our organization and believe that they can get it done! But on the Champ thing, I definitely think he will be here and retire a Bronco! I know you can look at the Marshall, Cutler, and Moss thing with how they got traded but Champ is not even close in that category of those players!! I have never seen more respect out of a player than what Champ and Dawk gives!!

I love me some Broncos Country!!

  2. broncosfreak30 says:

Some people on here seem very frustrated and annoyed but let’s wait and see what happens in the end! Just because they want to postpone contract talks doesn’t mean that Champ will not be with us next year! That just seems to cause drama!

Lets watch Champ eat up some crow come Sunday!! And hopefully Goody will be back out there bc we will deff need him!!

  3. broncosfreak30 says:

    DaBroncos4Life…

I completely agree with you!! Sometimes people get on here and get fussed at for having an opinion!! We are all fans of the Broncos so we should all be able to get along and be able to talk about things w/o being too emotional and over analyzing everything!! Just because you have different opinions doesn’t mean that one person is right or wrong! I love hearing different opinions from everyone but whenever it becomes an argument that makes it childish!!

But yes, let’s focus on now and beating the Ravens come Sunday!! I truly believe that we are a completely different team than last year when we played them at their home! I think we win 20-17 and quiet some people with their negative comments on how we are not a playoff type of team!!

I love me some Broncos Country!!

  4. BeastFromEast92 says:

It’s all about respect, then why didn’t they just sign him when he said he didn’t like the offer, but would take it because he wanted to stay in Denver,to me that’s being screwed over,Champ knows what he’s worth.I know one thing without him our Defense goes downhill for sure.

TREAT THE REAL PLAYERS HONESTLY,AND DON’T SCREW WITH THEM!!!

  5. broncosfreak30 says:

Also, I look at Champ just like Kyle, he will come out and prove his worth and status and get that contract extension! I love our team now because no one runs their mouth and plays their hearts out! I know Champ has always but he will step it up even more for us this season!! Let’s see what happens and hopefully be very happy with the result!!

Lets go boys!!! Here’s to hopefully moving 3-2 come Sunday!!

  6. broncosfreak30 says:

    BFE…

I do agree, they should have never entered into talks whenever they weren’t ready to give him an extension! Its disrespectful and lacks maturity in an organization! But it’s Champ, I am sure he will be a Bronco the rest of his career!! Xanders and Co. have done a great job in getting our guys signed so I am sure they will get it done! Maybe there are just wanting to see Champ turn up the fire a little bit more! We will see!

  7. BeastFromEast92 says:

No doubt Champ will play as hard as he can, like he always has,he is a proffesional, and has a lot of class, just like Doom.

  8. denver0723 says:

Well… I was hoping to come on here and talk about the upcoming game.

Instead I spent the last however many minutes reading about the Champ Bailey thing.

LOVE Champ Bailey, love what he has done for this team, and would LOVE for him to stay here till the day he retires.

But this is also a business, and we don’t know what is going to happen. Do any of us own/coach/manage or even work for a football team?

    Anyone?

No we don’t. We are just loyal fans. We have no idea about the pressures, the constant need to have answers, the Broncos current budget, and the constant pressure from fans and media.

We know what we want to see, and we know what we feel would work. And if the people payed to be in charge do not agree with us, and look to these blogs for our advice, then we get angry. We get pissed. We get irritated with one another.

I’m sorry, this isn’t life. It’s football. Something fun to watch on Sundays. We tune in, root for our favorite team, and hope it goes the way we planned. And then we get on with life until next Sunday. I am a DIE HARD Broncos fan. I am just as bad as you guys when it comes to analyzing every detail, tuning in to these blogs every day, and reading every article that even mentions this team.

But I think everyone needs to chill out at least a little bit. Breathe for God’s sake.

With that said, I can admit I do not agree with everything McDaniels does. In fact I agree with very little of it sometimes. The man is clearly very new to this, and hasn’t developed enough to be a quality head coach. Not yet. He has loads of potential, he is dedicated, and he is actually pretty smart with the x’s and o’s. And I think once he starts working better with the players, and people in general, he will improve. We have to have patience tho. He needs time to develop just like a rookie when they enter the league. Not everyone “gets it” right away. That is just how the business works.

Now some of you might say that we don’t have the time to wait or that we can’t afford to wait on a coach that is a “wild card”, and I get that too. If McD doesn’t start to come around, then by all means fire the guy and get someone who isn’t gonna trade a guy like Peyton Hillis for a chump like Brady Quinn.

But this is only Josh’s 2ND year. Give him some sort of time. How much time? I don’t have the answer. But give the guy something.

And whatever happens, happens. This is a business. And I am not exactly shocked by roster moves anymore. After having our team gutted and rebuilt, I have learned to expect anything at this point. I don’t wanna lose Champ, but if he is gone after this year, then there is nothing we can do about it. We can cry and moan and complain and blog all we want. But we have no say in the matter.

Now that I have said all of that,

LET’S GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s make history and win in Baltimore!

P.S. I have no idea if anything I said was in order, was rational, or if it made sense. I tried to get my thoughts typed out the best I could. I obviously see a problem with what is going on, but I refuse to become so pessimistic that I can’t enjoy this season. I love the Broncos, and I love watching them play. Regardless of the coach or the players. We won a big game last weekend. No running game, but we still won. It is week to week. And I will watch the game Sunday as if nothing is wrong. Because I love this team, and I keep my faith in them no matter what. Regardless of the issues we can see or the ones behind the scenes.

Sorry for making this so long.

    I am done now.

    Go Broncos!!!

  9. BeastFromEast92 says:

Too much damn drama the past 2 years, never have I seen this much drama in the 28 years I’ve watched the Broncos,I know McD is young but it hits the fans hard when it seems like the good loyal players like Champ get screwed with, and the fans will fire back,so just let people give their opinions the way they want to,say their peace and go on,that’s what the blog is for.IMO
    No arguing here!

  10. denver0723 says:

    Amen to that BFE.

It would be nice to just be able to watch the Broncos and trust the organization like back in the day. McD brings a lot of attention on himself. And instead of giving us answers to enjoy, he gives us questions to ponder over.

Don’t know if I like the guy or hate the guy.

Just wish we could focus on the simple things. Things about the game.

The business side is something fans should understand, but it is not something that should take over what we enjoy. And that is watching the orange and blue play football.

  11. broncosfreak30 says:

    Denver0723…

I respect your opinion and agree with you! But do not be surprised if some people come out and point you out and argue with you for your opinion! It shouldn’t happen that way but it has been now for a couple of weeks!! I would just like to turn off all of the negativity and drama and talk about this upcoming game!! I am really curious to see how our running game turns out because it obviously cannot be like it was against the titans! I mean having Orton our leading rusher with 11 yards is just absurd! They talked about Andre Brown a little bit in Mcd’s interview from today and hopefully he will play some this week but didn’t sound like he was!!

Let’s just hope that both Champ and Goody are playing this Sunday!

  12. denver0723 says:

I think we can take the Ravens on Sunday. Orton has played amazing for us, and I want him to stick around for a while.

Aaron Rodgers rode the bench for 4 years behind a proven starter, and he stepped on the field and took over the team and played beautifully. No reason Tebow can’t do the same.

Running game is an issue. But we can work with what we have. I doubt our coaches encourage the “dancing” and I am sure they are addressing it in practice. It will get there. I have faith. I mean I don’t expect 150 rushing yards tomorrow, but 50 seems like a reachable goal.

Great QB, great WR, and a defense that held CJ2K to 53 yards.

We have a shot at it.

This is for you Bay, 24-17 Denver.

  13. denver0723 says:

And if the arguments come, they come. I said my peace. I am ready for Sunday.

    Go Broncos!!!!!!

  14. dbroncs7583 says:

why does everybody want to complain about everything on all these blogs. even post writers have to give us stats of what traded away players are doing this year. i’ve been through the good and bad years. you know at one point in time shanahan let shannon sharpe go, trevor pryce go, and every good running back every year ie. portis, mike anderson, etc. go ahead and call me a koolaid drinker, but we were going nowhere with some of the players we had. ill bleed blue and orange til I die. I may question things sometimes, but I will always be right behind the men on the field cheering my heart out. i guess loyalty means nothing anymore.

  15. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Loyalty is spelled C-H-A-M-P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. BeastFromEast92 says:

    denver0723 I heard that,I agree with your 6:07 post.

  17. broncosfan1580 says:

Not to sound like an idiot or anything but i think if we don’t get it done this year then i think we should trade champ to a team that he could win a championship on. He is one of the best shutdown corners of all time in my opinion better than deion and he is getting to be that age where you start to think about retirement.

  18. broncosfreak30 says:

    dbroncos…

I agree with you man. It’s like every time something happens people get on here and start bashing our team and our coach! I can understand that you might not agree with something, but that doesn’t mean you go around bashing members of the organization! That’s for the espn analysts and everyone else to do! We should support our team through everything! And just like I said earlier with singling people out of things like for example…people that are okay with the Champ thing now and people that are not, people who are Mcd fans and those who arent, people who loved Marshall and those who haven’t!

Someone told me about being part of a majority/minority not too long ago about things and that’s just crazy putting people in classes and trying to argue and complain about things!! Denver Football is too great to be arguing over it and we should be enjoying every single thing that our Broncos do!!

Broncosfan…I do think we will keep Bailey!! If he gets let go or traded then all of our players, I think, will worry about staying on the team no matter how much hard work and effort they put in! He is a captain and a leader for a reason and hopefully we can get in the playoffs with him and win the big one just for him and dawk!!

  19. caramelloo says:

What’s up everyone! Not to change topics but ummmmm, I think we have a real good chance of winning this Sunday. Unlike last year we have way more toughness this year to keep up with the Ravens. I wish we had a running game to offset that Ravens blitz. I think we will shock the world this Sunday like we did last Sunday.

  20. sndvl says:

We traded Portis for Champ and a draft pick that turned out to be Tatum Bell. Lol

  21. sndvl says:

Champ is an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of this season. Free to sign with whomever has the biggest checkbook! No trading after the deadline, which is upon us soon. Don’t know the exact date, the 17th, give or take a couple days

  22. sndvl says:

I feel more comfortable about our likelihood beating the Ravens with Orton at the helm!

  23. Orange_Crusher says:

    Freak30,

You spend more time complaining about other bloggers than you do talking football. Look at your own negative comments to other bloggers just because they have a point of view that you don’t share. Whats worse?

If you don’t like someone elses comments just pass over them and quit telling others what to say or how to feel about our team.

Try to not be such a blowhard. You’re not the Supreme Commander of the Blog! Son!

I LOVE ME SOME DENVER BRONCOS!!!!

  24. MANDIEGO says:

The good news is that the running game can not get any worse. Thus, we should see improvement this weekend.

  25. MANDIEGO says:

is rice going to play this weekend?

  26. baylinorcrush says:

    No comments from me.

I’m glad everyone is speaking their peace about this Bailey negotiation walk out, either way you see it it’s good to let it out, I did and I feel good, this is another thing Bailey said about it:

Champ now says he wants to stay in Denver, but he’s adamant that he won’t “beg” the Broncos to keep him. “I’m not worried about that,” insisted Bailey. “I don’t need them to kiss my ….. I don’t need them to do me any favors. I plan on playing it out. If another offer comes my way that seems like a good fit, or that might be worth signing, that’s what I’ll do.”

  27. baylinorcrush says:

And yeah Rice should play he has practiced fully this week, his knee injury is simply a knee bruise, a significant one but no knee damage, he should be fine.

  28. Drunkenbronc says:

It’s not a coincidence the same day the broncos pulled out of negotiating was the same day the owners came out and said they are ready for a lockout next year. No football means no contract

  29. Broncos Born & Raised says:

We all know, as intelligent sports fans, that we love to argue. That’s why we have shows like PTI and Around the Horn. The arguing is not going to stop. And it shouldn’t. I’m one of the guys who generally supports McDaniels, and I don’t think I’d be here if weren’t for the guys who don’t like him. I want to hear what they have to say, and I want them to hear what I have to say. That’s why I blog.

  30. broncosfreak30 says:

    Haha, Orange…

And yet another gets on here to argue! I am not going to argue with anyone and I haven’t said for anybody to say anything! I do not act like I am commander of anything!! I was just saying people get on here and start stuff just like you did there with me, completely uncalled for! I have not called out any other bloggers or anything, don’t know where you are getting your information from!!

Just have fun on here and do not argue…it’s that easy!!

  31. broncosfreak30 says:

    Broncos Born…

You are right man. Just see, someone else tries to come out and argue with me!! That is fine! Anyone can say what they would like! I am here to talk about football and that is all! If anyone wants to be childish and immature and say anything disrespectful, go for it! I am done wasting my time arguing on these blogs!! Funny thing is, most of these people are older and are arguing like kids!! I’m moving on and just talking about football!!

    Go Champ and Goody!!

  32. broncosfreak30 says:

Haha, Champ is such a class act guy!!

  33. sndvl says:

I wonder if a trade might just happen. McD must be at one heck of a dinner

  34. broncosfreak30 says:

Haha, I don’t think so sndvl…or at least, lets hope not!!

I do not think I would be happy with no matter what we got for Champ!! I always want him to remain a Bronco and I know he wants that too!

  35. Broncomania56 says:

Gotta sign Champ, he still has a few good years. But like anything it is a business, if you don’t believe it, look what happened to Randy Moss, in the 1st quarter of the season. I wouldn’t put the blame on McD, he is not the front office, he does not have full control, that coach (Shanahan) is no longer with us.

Change isn’t always a bad thing and I for one think that the Broncos organization will come to its senses. To be blunt, Dawkins and Champ are both old in football years. Champ still plays at a respectable level as well as Dawkins. But youth and new blood may be what it will take to build a dynasty.

Let me clarify, before everyone jumps on me, I want to see Champ retire a Bronco their is no doubt about it, but if it does not happen, I will still cheer for this team every year of my life.

I was a harsh critique of McDaniels last year on this blog, however this year, I have decide I will reserve full judgement till year 3!!! Someone asked, how long does a new head coach get to make his mark, 3 years. If we are not in the Superbowl by year 3 or damn close, get rid of him and move on. I predicted with Mike Shannahan 3 years and were in and it happened. I feel that history repeats itself and we should be in the superbowl next season or say bye bye to Joshie boy.

  36. sndvl says:

Me and my brother were just discussing how we’ve had a run of bad luck when it comes to getting Jerseys for the season. I haven’t bought one this year for that very reason. See, last year got the Champ 50th anniversary one. But over the last few years, Between us- Hillis, Cutlet, Wilson, Plummer, Anderson- something unfortunate occurs. I wonder where I can get an authentic McHoodie?

  37. FTR says:

    Broncos Country:
First and foremost we have a big game coming up at Baltimore! We need to focus on getting prepared for a win! I know Champ is doing his home work because that’s what he does! He has always been a leader on this team and always will be until something out of his control happens! His play has not declined at all and we all know that! As this blog banters on his future he is getting ready to play. Champ comments on Baltimore:
Champ says: “It’s amazingly different,” cornerback Champ Bailey said. “The talent level they probably have the best group in the league. They have a number of Pro Bowls among them, so the guys are experienced and we have our hands full this week with them.”
I will say I agree with Bay and I do not wish to join the banter but this post was the best I read on the Business side of Champs position with Denver:

We didn’t use to conduct business this way.
Mr. B,I respectfully ask you why are you letting McD and Xanders destroy the integrity of our team, can’t you see whets happening???? I know you’re not blind.
This hits my tradition button and the respect we used to be known for as a first class Club. Any body that reads web sites across the web and understands we have flailed to do so! And to those that think this does not affect the locker room have either never played the game or coached Evan at Pop Warner level. I am with BFE92 where has Mr. B gone?

Let’s kick some ravens Butt. Champ has no control over the Coach or the upper management! I will say Champ just got disrespected in public. I do not like that and these things should be done behind closed doors with respect. McD and the X-man again has shown there experience and public relations Suck! Just Me!

People seem to forget lots of teams are dealing with contract problems this year because next year is so uncertain. If the Pats can get rid of Moss anything can happen. We as fans don’t know what goes into a player contract all the ends and out only what reported we dont know what the player asking for. I love champ and want him to stay with the team. but reality is this steal is a business and the team has to do what it feels is the right thing to do. With that said i know many people don’t give us a chance but i like our chances. its not going to be easy but we have the weapons

  40. baylinorcrush says:

I was just wondering how the Bronco players McD has let go unceremoniously for the most part are talking about our team and McD in their respective locker rooms, like Scheffler in Detroit, Marshall in Miami, Cutler in Chicago, Hillis in Cleveland, Polumbus and Stokely in Seattle, Mike Leach with the Cardinals, and I’m probably missing a few others. I would love to be a fly on the wall and hear just what kind of reputation McD is building with the players in the rest of the league.

Because let’s face it, sooner or later your success will depend on acquiring players from other teams so you wouldn’t want to burn too many bridges, would you, you want players to jump when McD calls them over for a tryout, you don’t want them to do their best to avoid coming here. Building a successful football team has so many intangibles but player personel is king and the kind of aim-fire approach that McD has brought to this franchise has had many of us rattled and plenty of players too, like Scheffler and Marshall at year end last year and the reported split locker room in the matter which ultimately resulted in utter embarrassment in our last few games, all those things work together, and I’m just wondering if the league and its players haven’t started catching on to the McD way already, like the media already seems to have.

If McD really wants to be in it long term, whether it’s with us or another team, he should start seriously considering taking a people skill course, otherwise this could become a hostile league to him, you reap what you sow. Just something I was thinking about out loud, don’t anyone get riled up over it, it’s just I don’t buy the McD is doing it the right way thing, he knows the x’s and o’s but other than that he has got a lot to learn, and I honestly hope he does, for all our sakes.

  41. baylinorcrush says:

FTR, I completely agree, whoever decided to make this negotiation walk out public ought to be immediately terminated, whether it was on the Bronco side or Champ side, no way no how that dirty laundry shall be aired in public, that’s the real shame here, not how we are reacting, but how the people involved let it leak, just my opinion.

  45. Broncfalls says:

I wish I could take bits and pieces from all of you die hard broncos fans here and paste them but there is to many! :) A lot of great points from people that actually dissagree with each other.

For me, one thing you can not deny is Josh McDaniels has always taken care of great character guys! i.e. Doom. His post contractural comments about Doom were of the utmost respect. I have NEVER heard a coach talk specifically about a player and how he conducted himself during a HELLISH TIME FOR THE LEAGUE MIND YOU.

Champs dissapointment is understandable totally it is..100% He isn’t stupid that boy wants what Doom got! He wants paid and paid now! Why Denver pulled out, who the hell knows but guess what! This organization is just a tad bit bigger than 1 player! We’ve seen this story before remember? My point is, (in my humble opinion) :) …is that the Denver Broncos can reserve the right to do whatever the hell they want. But let’s not throw the Champ story into the pot with Cutler, Marshall and Scheff….

If you don’t like how it was handled as some have pointed out, I get that and share your feelings! However, I believe it will get worked out..McDaniels has proven that in the past.

As I continue to ramble, I will throw this out there. When is it Champs time? I love the guy more than anything..but he’s injury prone! Can he play? Yep one of the best….when he’s out there! What do we do let this guy play 19 years as a DB out of loyalty and get nothing out of him when we have a HUGE stock of DB’s behind him? When is it time to send Champ to the pasture? And guess who’s next? Yep…Dawkins! They can’t play forever guys! You know how many times I’ve read about Dawk and Champ losing their step a little…just saying.

I don’t know what the answer is….I guess I will just wait to see how it plays out to make my own assement is all….but truely love all your posts

I too am in business…and simplistic theory is you always sell high and buy low!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

I don’t think players across the league are saying much about McDaniels because believe it or not is people managing is not aytpical of a Coach. Every year there’s numerous players from numerous teams that say have a problem with their staff and vice versa. A couple of you were singing the praises of the Chiefs coaching staff. One of the first things Todd Haley did as Chiefs head coach was remove Tony Gonzalez’s parking sign from his tenured spot in front of their practice field before trading him off to Atlanta for one 2nd round draft pick. He can still play and he’s somewhere else. Mcnaab, arguably the best QB Philly has ever had, still can play and he’s somewhere else, Moss can still play and he’s somewhere else, Tomlinson… the list goes on. That’s why some people love college ball and hate the NFL, because it’s a business.

So as I wondered how I should feel about this issue I texted my good friend, Rob for a little guidance. He’s older and wiser than I am and he’s extremely knowledgeable about all sports. This is what he sent me in reply.
“For whatever it’s worth, it’s not newsworthy. It didn’t make ESPN or NFL.com and cbs4 didn’t send me a text about it, so it probably isn’t a big deal.”

I love Champ, and I’d love to see him here for the rest of his career. But if he goes somewhere else it’s because McDaniels thinks that’s what’s best for the Broncos. Even if he’s as self centered as everyone says he is, he still has to do what’s best for the Broncos because winning is his job security. All that being said, the issue is probably more complicated, more common, and less unthinkable than everyone is making it out to be. I for one, am at least going to wait until the issue gets addressed in tomorrow’s McDaniels interview (becaue we know it will, just like it was for Dumervile and Orton) before I ccast any further judgement.
