On Sunday, the Broncos and Bills will meet for the 35th time in the regular season. Buffalo holds an 18-15-1 advantage in those games. The clubs are tied at 11 wins each in games played in Buffalo. Denver has won five of the past six games in the series.
The teams last squared off in Denver, with the Bills coming away with a 30-23 victory on Dec. 21, 2008. The Broncos won the last game that the two teams played in Buffalo by a score of 15-14 on Sept. 9 2007.
Denver and Buffalo have played once in the postseason, with the Bills defeating the Broncos 10-7 in the 1992 AFC Championship game.
Notable performances against the Bills:
S Brian Dawkins: Has registered an interception in each of the two games he’s played in against the Bills for his career. He also has one forced fumble and two tackles for a loss to go with 12 tackles.
CB Champ Bailey: Posted one sack to go with nine tackles and a forced fumble last time Denver played Buffalo (12/21/08).
DE Elvis Dumervil: Intercepted his first and only NFL pass against Buffalo on Sept. 9, 2007.
RB Willis McGahee: Topped the 100-yard rushing mark, finishing with 114 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown against the Bills, while playing with Baltimore (10/21/07).
Denver-Buffalo Roster Connections
Some interesting roster connections between the Broncos and Bills courtesy of research done by Public Relations Intern Cydney Ricker:
Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow threw to Buffalo wide receiver David Nelson at Florida, where the pair played on two National Championship teams together.
Denver linebacker Wesley Woodyard played at Kentucky with Buffalo wide receiver Stevie Johnson.
Bills linebacker Andra Davis played for Denver in 2009, and Buffalo Head Coach Chan Gailey coached in Denver during the 1985-90 seasons.
Broncos running back Willis McGahee (2003-06) and linebacker Mario Haggan (2003-07) spent time in Buffalo. Denver wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert and running backs coach Eric Studesville coached in Buffalo (2004-07).

Sorry wasn’t ready to post yet,but this is where WalterFootball has them going in their mock as of right now
TRB – because almost nobody uses their QB like that. Notice the huge diff between a Brady QB draw and a Tebow follow the blocker runs.
I see play calls like that and I think Fox and company are beginning to get real excited about the possibilities!
Doesn’t look like we will be high enough to get either one of them. And we could use one too. Not unless we trade up. No Janoris Jenkins tho. TRB
Has anybody seen a weather report for Buffalo for Sat.? Weatherman?
Isnt it amazing how walter just made itself the premiere mock draft site. Its the oen eeryone goes to and uses lol. Congrats to them
I guess since the CBs are so high … we could just settle for a DT wherever late we pick. we need one of those anyway. TRB
I am okay with trading up as long as the value gain outweighs the value lost. To me, Claiborne is worth trading up, Kirkpatrick is not. If we cant get Claiborne (still not a definite going pro), then lets take a DT in Round 1 and work on RB and CB in rounds 2 and 3. I still have hope for Moore and Carter improving with an offseason and SydQuan Thompson will be back as well. Throw in Chris Harris with an offseason and we may not even need a CB.
If i was the colts I would trade the first pick to Miami at pick 9, and get a next year first round pick with it and maybe a 2nd this year as well. And with the 9th pick draft trent richardson. Those guys have never had a real RB and its been hurting them. Right now they got the chiefs taking trent and thats scary thinking of Trent and Jamaal Charles. TRB
BTW,they have us taking a DT from Clemson(forgot his name)in the 1st round anyway,lol.
I wouldn’t trade up for either CB,we need the picks worse, imo.
db,I think seweatherman said it is supposed to be sunny and 38 degrees in Buffalo for the game!
Buffalo weather Saturday, according to Farmers Almanac:
Saturday: Snow showers in the morning. Highs in the mid 30s and lows in the low 30s.
new blog
db…AM snow showers and a high of 34 degrees in Buffalo Saturday!
Anytime you wanna know what the forecast is in a city just go to the Weatherchannel.com and type in the city.
Ha.seweatherman beat me,lol.
BFE, I currently like who they have us picking. DT Brandon Thompson. Man is an animal. big boy. Definitely help in run support. Looks like the kinda guy that eats up blockers too. Probably the reason Bowers looked so good lol. We will see tho, come combine time, people will rise and wall like its nothing lol. TRB

Readers digest version story of my life. I’m 58 yrs young really started paying attention to Bronco football in 1972 lived in Rapid City SD most of my life except twenty years in Huron SD. Have been married for 38 years two kids now 35& 34 years old. My main interests outside the Broncos is motocross and most recently learning Spanish. Main dislikes mn. Vikings, thanks to living in vikingland for 20 yrs. Racism, religious intolerance, guess you could include the raiders and Phillips rivers in this category as well. Enjoy the holidays everyone and enjoy the Broncos run to the playoffs.
As it stands now, assuming we are picking in the late 20s:
Round 1. DT – Either Jerel Worthy – Michigan State or Brandon Thompson – Clemson.
Worthy (6’3″ and 310 lbs) is a 3 year starter at DT for Michigan State. He is great in run defense and is pretty decent in pass defense. In 3 years, he has amassed a total of 102 tackles and 11.5 sacks. He is only a junior but all signs point to him declaring.
Thompson (6’2″ and 310 lbs) is 3 year starter but has played all 4 years as DT at Clemson. Excellent run stuffer, okay pass defense. In 4 years amassed 128 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
I think either would be an upgrade over McBean and Thomas and would be a good fit next to Bunkley.
Round 2 – RB. We need someone who compliments McGahee and can allow him plenty of rest and something that is an upgrade over Ball/Johnson. No Go Moreno is gone next year so we need something. A few options:
Chris Polk – Washington and David Wilson – Virginia Tech
Both backs are Juniors but that should not stop them from declaring. Both run in the 4.4s.
Polk was a three year starter at Washington rushing for 3902 yards on 769 attempts (5.07 yards per carry) He has the speed, agility, and vision and would be a perfect compliment to McGahee.
Wilson was a 1 year starter at VT but ran for whopping 6.1 yards per carry. He has speed and burst and fits the mold of Moreno but without the fragileness.
Round 3 we could go for a WR, TE, CB, S, backup QB…too many decisions but I think we really need to focus on DT in the first 2 rounds and a RB in the first 3.
