David Akers kicked a 44-yard field goal — his fifth of the game — to give the 49ers a 5-point advantage.
The drive began when the Broncos turned the ball over on downs, as San Francisco cornerback Perrish Cox hit Jeremiah Johnson in the backfield on 4th-and-1.
The 49ers took over on the Denver 42 and picked up one first down before trotting out David Akers for the fifth time.
