Do you know if Hillman can catch?

  3. buck484 says:

Ha,HA, I just turned toward the tv and there was a commercial about hair. At my age , what hair, 13 children and Daddy can’t have much either. Now thats impressive, 13 children. Dang daddy, congrats. Thats what is important as you are going to find out all about AB.

  4. alaskanbronco06 says:

DB Hillman is pretty great at catching! He really can do it all. Only real bad ive heard is he has a tendency to fumble. Fox will fix that real quick I hope cause thats the reason Ball needs to go bye bye IMO

  5. DaddyBronc says:

JJ impressed me some last year – I like him – I don’t see him getting better – but a solid backup.

  6. buck484 says:

    Nite all.

  7. alaskanbronco06 says:

Buck Hair is that important? Lol Jk. Family is always the most important thing. I was always taught that no matter who I was living with at the time. Really cant wait till my babies are here.

  8. DaddyBronc says:

Hey AB – I never did two at a time. LOL Actually I have a little envy. LOL

  9. alaskanbronco06 says:

    DB I agree with that.

I am out as well. Gnight one and all.

Today was a great day in Broncos Country with Xanders being gone. Hopefully we will have some more good news tomorrow. Maybe a couple draft choices officially being signed. Or a signing or something.

    ILMSDB!!!!!!!!!!

  10. DaddyBronc says:

At your age folks could surf the beautiful waves on my head! LOL Not anymore. More like trying to surf the desert with burnt out tree stumps everywhere! LOL

  11. alaskanbronco06 says:

Lol DB well with them being #1 and 2 its really rather scary for me. Glad ive had a lot of time around my niece and nephews so I have an idea whats coming my way. Lol.

  12. DaddyBronc says:

With my first child I used to levitate in the middle of the night – Babies miss breaths or breathe so quietly that you can’t hear them. I actually remember pulling muscles – landing flatfooted – realizing that my entire mind and body was anticipating her breathing. What I never anticipated was letting go. I’ve told them all and prepped them well. I forgot to hear my own words.

  13. buck484 says:

that was beautiful Daddy ,as the breath escapes into the volume of humanity it falls deaf unto all, except me

  14. DaddyBronc says:

LOL – and don’t forget the many opportunities to be up in the night with sick kids! AB – your opportunities are doubled. LOL

  15. Orange27CRUSHER says:

Glad to see the Broncos and Xanders part company. I have felt for years he was a leach on the organization and a hindrance to my team in moving forward. Also glad to see Elway more as the man behind the scenes and the entire restructuring of our team moving forward!

I hope and pray we get back to excellence!!! GO BRONCOS!!! 8)

Denver0723, regarding your 2:12 post from yesterday, I have another theory as to what changed. Bay left. He wasn’t universally liked, but most people liked him and he was the unquestioned leader of this blog. He set the tone everyday. Now that he left it has become more of a free for all, with some people trying to step into that leadership role and not doing it right.

Of course it’s just opinion, but it’s fun to speculate on all our talent!! Maybe we need a final roster competition!!! Lol”

I was actually thinking this myself and fully second OT’s sggestion. Something like pick 54 guys from our 84 man roster (or whatever it is this year) and you get one point for each correct name, and one point for correctly predicting their spot on the depth chart. Ex:

    QB:
    1.PM
    2. BO
    WR
    1. Decker
    2. Thomas
    3. Stokely
    TE
    1. Tamme
    2. Dreesen,
    3, Thomas
    RB
    FB
    RT
    RG
    C
    LG
    LT
    DT
    DE
    OLB
    MLB
    CB
    S

  25. alaskanbronco06 says:

That just shows how big of wimps Faider fans are. Theres a good group of bloggers on here I would LOVE to go to the blackhole in Denver gear LOL

  26. brian_schneider says:

Well, so long Xanders. The move doesn’t surprise me one bit for the Broncos to part ways with him. Bowlen, Fox, and Elway know what they’re doing..I hope..but this move will better the Broncos. Also, Elway and Fox, have better eye for talent than Xanders did. I didn’t think he was a very good GM.

I’m ready for some football..I’m tired of watching the Twins get the butts handed to them.

  27. alex4serg says:

I’m guessing there was at least a gallon of vodka (or the equivalent) involved in this one:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD3tpkF8-xI&feature=related

  28. alex4serg says:

Not sure how to feel about the Xanders firing. He never had enough power to make player decisions, so I feel like we can’t really even judge him in that.

I have read some stuff that suggests he was responsible for negotiating value for our trades in the draft. If that is true then good riddance.

  29. tlcat06 says:

AB, had to go to bed, but I still disagree with you some should agree to disagree. His behavior on Easter had nothing to do with anybody but him. Easter is about Jesus and he still made it about himself… And he does not see that he is doing that or does not see that his fans are worshipping him instead of God. I don’t like it and I don’t have to like it. Im just saying my eyes were opened to him and he is not who I thought was… Still love the kid, just am annoyed by his choices. So, let’s just agree to disagree! I don’t want to argue about this when I come back later.

  30. alex4serg says:

I’m not religious, but it sounds to me like cat would agree with Matthew 6:5

  31. alaskanbronco06 says:

On Easter it had nothing to do with him. He contacted the church to preach. Not to talk about himself. He preached his sermon than the actual pastor interviewed him. The actual pastor made it about him.

  32. alaskanbronco06 says:

Ryan McBean signed with the Ravens but before he had to drop his lawsuit. Well he now its a 3 game suspension instead of a 6. Thats a big thank you from the NFL for not suing them Lol.

  33. OrangeTsunami says:

daddybronc – I did not meant to question your faith in anyway, and if I came off that way, then I apologize. This is a free country, and a free blog, so we are all free to post our opinions, and I was just voicing my displeasure about reading how Manning won’t last very far into the season, will be on the IR, etc, etc. I realize that we won’t all agree on everything here, and I enjoy some good debate, otherwise the blog would be pretty boring.

However, I just feel like we spent months debating the Manning health concerns over and over, and I think it’s a dead issue at this point. It’s a valid concern, but I think we covered it. He may play for 3-4 more years w/o missing a beat, or he may go down during his first OTA’s, no one knows. And honestly, the same could be said for any player, as football is a tough sport. I believe that injuries have as much to do with luck than anything else. If a guy lands funny, or if a player rolls into him the wrong way, etc. Let’s just hope we have a little luck, and try to keep the faith! :P

  34. alaskanbronco06 says:

Before I go into work. Im going to ask a serious question and see if anyone can get the right answer.

Pinocchio’s nose grows when he lies. However by theory there is a way his nose will grow by telling the truth. What is that way?

  35. OrangeTsunami says:

If he gets too excited? I kid, I kid.. Haha…

  36. OrangeTsunami says:

For the record, I’m not a huge Moreno supporter by any means, but from what I’ve read he carries a small cap hit this year, and he is good in pass protection. Next year, his final contract year, his salary jumps, so I think next offseason will be the year we cut ties with him. Given the competition at RB this year, it’s unlikely he doesn’t make the team IMO, and when I said he might start the year on the PUP, it was just speculation on my part. I think the only way Moreno doesn’t make the team is if we sign a veteran RB, when teams start making cuts, which is possible, but I still think Moreno gets his last chance this year.

  37. OrangeTsunami says:

Bad joke, my bad.. Forgot this is a family blog, and we have mixed company, hopefully I didn’t offend anyone!

  38. Tide Bronco says:

Alaskan: A Pinocchio question so early in the morning? Getting ready for fairy tales already, are we? Well, according to the story, if his nose grows larger when he lies, it also grows smaller when he tells the truth. Not sure if this is the answer that you were looking for, but that’s what happens in the story.

Alex & Tlcat, anyone who “really” knows Tebow, knows that he is genuine of character and pure of heart, whether in prayer, worship, daily living, football or anything else. People everywhere will cast doubt on his character and “intentions” for probably the rest of his life, but the relationship he has with his Lord and Savior is personal, and only between him and God, and he does not have to answer to ANYONE, here or elsewhere. Maybe Matthew 5:14-16 would be a better Bible verse by which to judge him, for those of you who feel the need to do so:

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

You guys have a great day!

Rookies report on Friday… Any word on any of our draft picks being signed yet??

  40. alaskanbronco06 says:

Lol Tide I was actually asked that by my dad and found it to be rather interesting.

OT I dont think any draft choices signed.

Well got a lot to do. Time for e to get some work done. Be back on later after I clear some of my work.

    ILMSDB!!!!!

  41. OrangeTsunami says:

Hey there Tide, hope all is well. Like the trades/signings or not, I don’t think anyone can disagree that this year will a very interesting season. The NFL most love all this drama! I haven’t been around as long as some, but I can’t remember a season with this many storylines. I think some of these primetime games will completely blow away previous ratings records. The NFL is literally printing money..

  42. OrangeTsunami says:

Does anyone have any insight on whether DJ’s lawsuit is a good idea or not? He’s the only one going through with it now, and the others have had their suspensions reduced..

  43. Tide Bronco says:

Hey, OT! I’m okay with most of them, but I’m in more of a wait and see mode. Can’t wait for pre-season to get a sneak preview of what’s to come.

Don’t know what happened to the reported UDFA signing of DeMaio Pippen, from Tuscaloosa, who was said to be a new Bronco. He’s not, apparently, and it doesn’t look like he landed anywhere else.

Feel sort of bad for Xanders losing his job, but I’m not upset he’s no longer in the organization. Maybe he’ll land something else before the season starts.

I’ve been trying to stay away from here, due to all of the latest controversy, but like every other blog, this one has its ups and downs with bloggers going at each other. It’s been really hectic at times since Shanahan was fired, and all of the ensuing debates of everything that has transpired since. People believe what they want, and it’s really no use trying to convince them otherwise, but it does get a bit irritating when some bloggers’ opinions are based on the opinions of others representing the media, rather than facts.

I’m out. You guys have fun!

  44. Atwater4HOF says:

OT It is pretty risky what DJ is doing. Settling for a 3 game suspension would be awesome, he’ll be fresh and ready to go week 4. But it’s a pride thing with a lot of these guys and if he feels he was truly mistreated in the drug testing process then by all means I hope he sticks it out and gets the resolution he is working towards. I just hope his litigation will result in some sort of suspension reduction because 6 games is brutal to be without one of our top defensive players

  45. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Man, I see I dont even pay attention to football news anymore. Just found out about xanders. Tough but the man pretty much did nothing since he was here. Whether it was under shanny or mcd or elway, he never had final say. I am not surprised he has been fired and that the position is pretty much nonexistent now and no new person would be hired. Because quite frankly, Elway has been doing that Job anyway. Whether its McD, or Shanny, or Elway, Broncos always seem to have one almighty power. So much for EFX … guess its just EF now.

Numbers are fine by me. Im one of the few people who enjoy seeing what number people will wear.

Tide, is posting. Cool …. man, I really dont keep up like i used to lol. Anyway,

    Later days, TRB

  46. OrangeTsunami says:

I think Xanders was always the weak link, and I’m not sorry to see him go. Of course, I dont wish harm on him, but I’m sure he was taken care of, and might even be paid his salary this year for not working, for all we know. He has a pretty extensive resume, so I’m sure he’ll land somewhere else in some capacity, but I doubt it will be as GM, although I could be wrong. I was speculating when I said he played a role in the particulars of the draft trades, but in such a short window, duties have to be delegated, and if Fox and Elway were making the final call on player personnel, then Xanders was on the phone IMO. If you watch the post draft presser, Xanders talked about the trades, and seemed to defend and take ownership of the returns, which were weak and my only real problem with the draft, as I like the players we took. Anyway, I think it was a good move to let him go, and we did him a solid by saying it was “mutual” IMO. I also think that Elway will make decisions by committee, as he has surrounded himself with a lot of football savvy guys with a ton of experience, and won’t rule with an iron fist like the media will no doubt try to portray..

I agree it’s been pretty chippy around here, but I think once the season starts, and people really see what we have, it will die down. I could be wrong, but I think we have the best team that we’ve had in years. I too absolutely loathe the media, and how they try to make a story out of nothing, but then again I guess it’s their job, but too many of them do it in such a misleading and unethical manner IMO.
