Pro Bowl Voting Update

December 16th, 2011 - 9:12am by Gray Caldwell

The first time we checked in on the Pro Bowl fan voting tally in mid-November, four Broncos were among the top five at their respective positions on the AFC squad.

On December 1, that number jumped to five.

This time around — with a weekend left to vote — six Broncos are among the top five Pro Bowl vote-getters at their position.

Tim Tebow has jumped to third among AFC quarterbacks, behind New England’s Tom Brady and Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger.

The new addition to the ranks, Willis McGahee, is fifth among all AFC running backs, behind Houston’s Arian Foster, Jacksonville’s Maurice Jones-Drew, Baltimore’s Ray Rice and Oakland’s Darren McFadden.

Von Miller has moved all the way up to second among AFC outside linebackers, just behind Baltimore’s Terrell Suggs.

Champ Bailey is fourth in AFC cornerback voting, behind New York’s Darrelle Revis, New England’s Kyle Arrington and Kansas City’s Brandon Flowers.

Brian Dawkins is fourth, as well, behind Pittsburgh’s Troy Polamalu, Buffalo’s George Wilson and Oakland’s Tyvon Branch at the strong safety position.

Finally, punter Britton Colquitt is in the top five at his position as well, currently sitting second behind only Oakland’s Shane Lechler.

Voting is still open, and will end this Monday, Dec. 19, at the conclusion of the Monday Night Football matchup between the Steelers and 49ers. So there’s still time to bump those Broncos — and more — up on the list.

The teams will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 5 p.m. MST on a special NFL Total Access 2012 Pro Bowl Selection Show on NFL Network.

The game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012.

I like the way you think, but had it 38-35, on a (lmao) last minute touchdown.
