The first time we checked in on the Pro Bowl fan voting tally in mid-November, four Broncos were among the top five at their respective positions on the AFC squad.
On December 1, that number jumped to five.
This time around — with a weekend left to vote — six Broncos are among the top five Pro Bowl vote-getters at their position.
Tim Tebow has jumped to third among AFC quarterbacks, behind New England’s Tom Brady and Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger.
The new addition to the ranks, Willis McGahee, is fifth among all AFC running backs, behind Houston’s Arian Foster, Jacksonville’s Maurice Jones-Drew, Baltimore’s Ray Rice and Oakland’s Darren McFadden.
Von Miller has moved all the way up to second among AFC outside linebackers, just behind Baltimore’s Terrell Suggs.
Champ Bailey is fourth in AFC cornerback voting, behind New York’s Darrelle Revis, New England’s Kyle Arrington and Kansas City’s Brandon Flowers.
Brian Dawkins is fourth, as well, behind Pittsburgh’s Troy Polamalu, Buffalo’s George Wilson and Oakland’s Tyvon Branch at the strong safety position.
Finally, punter Britton Colquitt is in the top five at his position as well, currently sitting second behind only Oakland’s Shane Lechler.
Voting is still open, and will end this Monday, Dec. 19, at the conclusion of the Monday Night Football matchup between the Steelers and 49ers. So there’s still time to bump those Broncos — and more — up on the list.
The teams will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 5 p.m. MST on a special NFL Total Access 2012 Pro Bowl Selection Show on NFL Network.
The game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012.

Just a reminder that this is only the fans part of the voting which counts for a third.
The Pro Bowl is pointless imo. Although I’m sure most players embrace the opportunity to relax and have fun playing a scrimmage game. It’s just not fun for the fans.
So Champ is 4th in the AFC at CB…..what a crock!!!
Why ain’t Clady mentioned???
The Bronco fans are obviously not doing their jobs, LOL, me included since I also loathe the pro bowl as always.
John Fox for coach of the year!!!!!!!
BFE – how you doing ? I read you did some hunting! Hope it went well!!
Clady isn’t meantioned probably due to the fact he’s had a bad year, and leads the league in holding penalties.
I really hope Colquitt goes, he’s had a much better season than Lechler.
*mentioned
T.G.I.F – BFE!
VOTE FOR CHAMP!!!!! sure hes already a hall of famer but 11 pro bowls will only help his case!!!
Broncos 23
Patriots 31
Maybe TT can make the Pro Bowl competitive again! LOL
You know he has no frame work for a non-competitive game.
We’ll leave it a bit too late this week and the hail mary will fall to the ground…
Think we’ll bounce back though next week when they finally click in the first half.
I think the match-ups for Raiders and Chargers this weekend will decide our fate…
Steve you can do a good job of it yourself since you can vote as many times as you want which is partly why this fan part of the pro bowl voting is absolutely pointless, just my opinion.
Miller…..2nd
Colquitt…2nd
Tebow…3rd
Champ…4th
Dawk……4th
MaGahee…5th
Even if it is the fans vote(one third) it’s still a pretty good chance we will get at least 3 in the ProBowl,Colquitt,Miller, and Tebow,Champ and Dawk maybe,McGahee at #5 won’t make it!
Wassup world….havent ben on…did it purposely not commenting until Buffalo….dont want to seem bias….dont want my ilk to be on display…..
You’ve probably been too speechless to, LOL.
Hesky…we’ll see how good Clady is going up against Carter,he’s been one the best pass rushers in the league this year,3 sacks in one game against the Jets’ Ferguson, who is supposed to be one of the best LTs in the NFL.
Bay – Legwold is ok – but I like Bayless. I love the fire – the passion – and the combat is fun too.
Stephen a. Smith to Bayless – I know you are old enough to have been there for the invention of football…. LOL
Oh well I go with my heart….Broncos Win: 31 – 28
db….Skip Bayless????
Hey Carnage – you’ve been missed – your ilk has been converting. They are climbing aboard!!! It’s gonna be a party when you get here.!!!
BFE – Yes
I don’t like Bayless, his points make no sense sometimes, and he has to be right ALL of the time……but to each his own!
I like Lombardi.
Has anyone noticed how Jamie Pukes has jumped on the Tebow Express lately, what a hypocrite!
BFE, whats up dude?! It`ll be a fun game this weekend. I hope we pull this one out as a win, but it aint crucial. Buffalo and K.C. are horrid, but 11-5 would sure look pretty. HaHa!!
I stopped watching Pukes this year. I can`t stand those idiots on NFLN.
I skip Skip, he is like stepping on a red ant pile.
Hey strand what up bro?
11-5 would be GREAT!!!
A win against KC is the must win game to win the AFC West this year!
A win against the Pats OR the Bills clinches it for us,imo.
I guess we will see how much our Defense has improved since we got our arses kicked against good passing teams like GB and Detroit.
Many things are crocks … like McFadden who is still injured and has been and missed many games ahead of McGahee.
Champ only 4th ha.
For all the noise made about Terrel Suggs … DJs stats are a lot better career wise … and about even this year. And DJ is a 8yr pro … he is a 9yr pro. Our LB core is legit Thx to Von and DJ is already good. MLB is the question. But Mays hasn’t done bad… with as hard as he hits, I woulda expected more FF. Curious about Nate Irvin now … we over reached and physically he was slowed down from the injuries … very cerebral however or so I heard … hmmm … hopefully he pans out.
TRB
In my opinion the Pro Bowl just gives the players and league another reason to seek more money from us fans. They don’t need to even play the game just vote the players and that’s the “Pro Bowl Teams.” The players don’t want to play to prevent injury and last time I checked the league is doing everything in their power to prevent injuries even if some of their rules are questionable.
At 11-5 there would be only 7 smart bloggers.
At 10-6, 15 including Carnage who I thought had completely missed out on his season record prediction this year, go figure.
At 9-7, 17, including TRB, 3rdGen and my favorite handle of all times, letdamansmoke, LOL.
At 8-8, 14, including strand and BFE.
Just killing time before going out to celebrate my wife’s birthday…
Here’s a small excerpt from article over at ESPN by BW.
Title: Can Broncos wild ride last into January?
“Patriots coach Bill Belichick said he is not taking the Broncos lightly going into Sunday’s game”.
“They’re a good football team and they’re playing great,” Belichick told reporters this week. “They’re well-coached; solid team. Defensively they do a lot of things well. They run well. They have good pass-rushers, cover well. They’ve made a lot of big plays, third-down stops, short yardage, goal line, red area, turnovers. They’ve made them all at the right times. They’re real good on special teams, good coverage team, good kickers and good returners. Offensively they do a good job of running the ball, getting it down the field. They have a lot of long passes. Again, they’ve made the big plays when they had to in critical situations at the end of the game, fourth quarter, overtime, third down, all those kind of things. They’re at the top of their game.”
Ok Bill, don’t lay it too heavy on us..lol!
I know one thing for sure,we will HAVE to jam their WRs and TEs off the line,if we lay back and give them a 10 yard cushion,we will get toasted by Brady on the quick slants!
BTW…TRB,I hope Irving pans out too,I think he has skill.
Last years draft was thin at MLB,we were the 1st team to draft one I think.
Bay,hope your wife has a Happy Birthday bro!
Bill can now say all those nice things because his lackie McD isn’t coaching us anymore.
At her age birthdays don’t get very easy, LOL, but I did my share to ease the pain, thanks bud.
LMAO@rbf1
I can swallow everything except “they cover well”,and “they have a lot of long passes”.
Maybe Bill mean long passes as in overthrows..?
LMAO@brian
One thing we’ve done since we started this 7-1 stretch is play good Defense, and kept us in the game until the 4th qtr,I wonder if we can do that this week,I think we will have to score early to stay in the game,so Fox…UNLEASH THE BEAST in the 1st qtr, lol.
Alright guys my internet sucks right now,I’m signing off so…..Bronc on.
Later guys!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BFE
It doesn’t really matter cuz none of the broncos will be playing in the pro bowl!! They will be preparing for the game the next weekend!!
I llike your optimism Jay!
Happy birthday to Bay’s wife and thank you for having the patience to let him spend so much time on the blogs. LOL
