Preseason Schedule Finalized

July 26th, 2011 - 7:58am by Gray Caldwell

With the lockout over, the Broncos’ preseason schedule – including times – has been finalized, and the club’s first game is just over two weeks away.

With a new collective bargaining agreement in place, the Broncos will begin training camp practices this Thursday as they prepare for the preseason.

The Broncos kick off the exhibition slate on August 11, when they travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys at the year-old Cowboy Stadium for the first time. The Thursday game will be one of the first games of the NFL preseason and will begin at 6:30 MDT.

The Broncos will make their first home appearance of the year the following week, hosting the Buffalo Bills at 6:35 MDT on Saturday, August 20. Fans won’t have to wait long to see the team play again, as the Broncos are right back at INVESCO Field at Mile High the following week, playing host to the Seattle Seahawks at 6:35 MDT on Saturday, August 27.

Denver wraps up the preseason just five days later on Thursday, September 1 as the Broncos travel to Arizona to play their final game before the season opens up with a Monday night matchup against the Raiders on Sept 12 at INVESCO.

    Typing too fast…

  2. royalbroncofan1 says:

Yeah bay, I remember that move on draft day as I was looking at walterfootball.com to see who was left for DT’s. We did get OT Orlando Franklin with the 46th pick correct ?

  3. strandoftds says:

I thought you were referring to another situation, but yes I`m here. LOL

  4. baylinorcrush says:

This undrafted rookie signing period is going a LOT like the draft, not a sign of a DT yet…

  5. raidrhadr says:

NFL network reporting that Buckhalter will be released…suprise?

  6. raidrhadr says:

    Making room for DeAngelo?

  7. baylinorcrush says:

No, we got Rahim Moore at 45 with the SF pick and yeah Franklin with our own 46.

  8. strandoftds says:

Of course we`ll address the DT`s in FA come Friday. If we don`t then there`s a huge problem.

  9. baylinorcrush says:

Bucky, way overdue, spoke about that already.

  10. royalbroncofan1 says:

So it was Moore – ok thanks.

  11. strandoftds says:

I wonder where Mark Herzlich will land. He was not drafted.

  12. baylinorcrush says:

rbf1, I like how you pick up on the important facts where many bloggers don’t even pay it any attention. Nothing but respect for you as you know.

  13. royalbroncofan1 says:

Gaffney to go as well? Sure hope your boy Willis will be ready this year bay. He looked good in pre-season last year and seemed to work well with TT.

  14. #1NYCbroncosfan says:

Are you guys ready for some football. Damn how i’ve missed you guys on the forum

  15. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah Gaffney is an age casualty at that position and I can’t wait to see my boy Willis again.

  16. royalbroncofan1 says:

Thx bay – same goes for you as I enjoy reading the information you share with us on a daily basis.

  17. strandoftds says:

Matthew Willis caught fire in the preseason before he got put on IR. He`ll open up some eyes this camp I bet.

  18. Bro says:

Bay, we have signed two D Line allready.

    Colby Whitlock, DL, Texas Tech
Deron Mayo, DE, Old Dominion (Patriots Mayo’s younger brother)

  19. Bro says:

Mark Herzlich has allready tweeted he will be a giant.

  20. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, I should have enough for a book now.

  21. strandoftds says:

Bro, who have we officially inked as far as undrafted FA`s.

  22. Bro says:

Two DLINE in the first couple of hours is a start

  23. baylinorcrush says:

I was talking DTs, Whitlock a DT looks like, too bad they don’t play D at Texas Tech, haha.

  24. strandoftds says:

    Good for Herzlich.

  25. Bro says:

strand, these are the undrafted rookies we have got so far.

    Brandon Bing, CB, Rutgers
    Marshall Williams, WR, Wake Forest
    Mark Dell, WR, Michigan State
    Patrick Hill, FB, Miami
    Mario Fannin, RB, Auburn
    James Rogers, CB, Michigan
    Chris Harris, CB, Kansas
    Colby Whitlock, DL, Texas Tech
    Deron Mayo, DE, Old Dominion
    Curt Porter, OT, Jacksonville State

  26. strandoftds says:

Thats 10 signed so far and five more to go. Good to see.

  27. strandoftds says:

    Thanks BRO!

  28. Bro says:

Another name to add to that list we just added
    -Minnesota QB Adam Weber

  29. strandoftds says:

Cool, 4 more picks to sign.

  30. baylinorcrush says:

    Bye Bye Quinn, haha.

  31. baylinorcrush says:

When you said “thanks BRO” this time it makes sense, LOL.

  32. BeastFromEast92 says:

LMAO……yeah trading Orton for FAs is stupid..don’t know where I came up with that!
Wanna get rid of him,but not for FAs,lol.

QB Adam Weber…might be the end of Quinn,I hope so!

  33. strandoftds says:

When Quinn is gone I can`t call him Pretty Boy Floyd anymore. It`ll be out of my mind since he`ll be gone. LMAO!!

  34. baylinorcrush says:

Anyway until an official list is published by this site we gotta take those signings with a grain of salt, nothing set in stone yet.

  35. BeastFromEast92 says:

We are able to sign FAs Thursday or Friday???

  36. strandoftds says:

BFE, your flippen hillarious dude. That was classic. You must have burned a bulb upstairs or something. All in fun bro.

  37. royalbroncofan1 says:

Colby Whitlock – 6’3″ 298lbs out of Noble Oklahoma.

From what I read on Whitlock, this kid is a tackling machine with some “All Big 12″ first Team accolades to his credit.

  38. strandoftds says:

see ya all in about an hour. gotta go.

  39. baylinorcrush says:

BFE, can’t sign FAs until Friday, so Orton won’t be gone in two hours or today like strand says.

  40. 1nOnlyTRB says:

We’ve gotta get young, and UndraftedFA has alot of free talent that has not been realized. So we will both get young and talent if we can get a few guys out of there. If not just bodies i guess. Either way, we can have up to 90 under this new CBA. Orton to dolphins would be fantastic … everyone should have seen that coming. Only thing that would hinder that was the fact that the broncos had the Dolphins last 2 2nd round picks. Do they wanna make it a 3rd straight one? 2nd round is the best round in my opinion.

As far as the DTs/DEs on our board. If we get anyone 30 or older I would shoot myself. Please use the money on Mebane. He will be worth it. DeAngelo would be nice but i personally believe we don’t NEED him. He is more of a want to me. TRB out…

  41. 1nOnlyTRB says:

Vikings signed Derrick Locke and Falcons signed Noel Devine. Great picks right there. Especially Devine. He should have easily been a mid round selection at worst, talent wise. TRB out…

  42. baylinorcrush says:

Devine with the Falcons is the sign that we will get their Snelling, haha.

  43. 1nOnlyTRB says:

I dunno if it was covered already but Mark Hezlich will be a Giant. Congrats to him.

  44. BeastFromEast92 says:

bay,as far as I know for now, teams can make the deals today, but can’t officially confirm them until Friday,I think.

  45. Cdudbronc24 says:

Where you guys getting the up-to-minute info on who we sign? None of the major sites have it

  46. 1nOnlyTRB says:

More likely we get thier Jerius Norwood if we are interested. Assuming Devine is their new speedy RB replacement for Norwood. They also got Jacquizz rodgers. Sounds like they are looking for a replacement for thier fast RB (Norwood) instead of their big back (snelling) … I could be mistaking. I am not the best predictor when it comes to personel

  47. imready says:

Yeah, Snelling is our man I hope! D. Williams will be too much money and word is he wants to stay with Carolina.
Had to get my TR6 in the garage with stomrs in sight. Come back in the house and I’m 90 posts behind. LOL Didn’t anybody go to work today?

  48. baylinorcrush says:

Michael Turner is just like Snelling so with your way of thinking they have no reason to hang on to Snelling. I’m all worried now because your way of thinking personel wise usually hardly ever comes to fruition, haha.
