It’s a big day for the NFL, and there’s understandably a lot of excitement swirling around Dove Valley.
“This is a great day for everyone involved with the National Football League—first and foremost our fans,” Head Coach John Fox said. “Our coaching staff is comprised of a great group of teachers who are eager to begin working with our players. All of us are looking forward to building relationships with our players and making the Broncos a better team.
“Our preparation has been well thought out, and we are ready for training camp and the 2011 season.”
For more from Coach Fox, check out his interview with Broncos TV.
The lockout is lifted, and preparations are already being made to get ready for the return of players.
“We are excited and ready for the start of the league year and free agency,” General Manager Brian Xanders said. “Our pro and college personnel staffs have put in an enormous amount of preparation over the last 12 months.
“This process is very important for the success of the Broncos this season and beyond. We are fully prepared and ready to go.”
Helmets are lining lockers, playbooks are being put together and the field preparation is well underway.
Just wanted to give you a quick glimpse inside the building. Thanks to Stuart Zaas for the photos.

yahoo!! go Broncos!!
Ah! and here come the pictures….Its been 136 days since the beginning of this lockout…but for some reason I’m having a hard time now that I know that real football news is going to start flowing tomorrow! I want everything to start today!…I can’t wait another minute!
This is awesome!!!
We’ve all been waiting for this for FAR too long. Finally time to get back to some great broncos football that we all love!!!!
Thank Goodness!!! I don’t think that I would be able to manage without Broncos football. Welcome back NFL. Can’t wait to see the newest Broncos in action!!!
GIT Er DONE!!!
All i have to say is yeah football is back!
Looking forward to see who we sign in FA. I can hardly wait.
Alright so what are you guys looking forward to most? For me its watching all 3…maybe 2 quarterbacks battle it out in training camp and pre-season!…Keeping my fingers crossed for Tebow!
Is everybody playing the song “ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!”
I`d like us to sign undrafted RB John Clay from Wisconsin.
NOT BEING PARTIAL OR ANYTHING, BUT I HAVE A QUESTION. IF THE SEC IS SO SUPERIOR TO ALL OTHER CONFERENCES, THEN WHY ARE THERE NOT MORE OF THEIR PLAYERS BEING TALKED ABOUT IN THE DRAFT AND ALL.
Sorry about the caps. Just realized they were on.
When does training camp start?
I agree strand, I hope we can get him..he should be a beast in short yard situations!
Yea strand…
I’m with you brotha! I would like to get him and Deangelo and get Mebane plus another DT free agent! Fox said that they have several plans already set up and in place so I hope they’re on top of their game because were going to need it!!! Fix the running game and the DL and we could compete for our division this year.
Everyone thinks that our team was “so bad” when it was really just our defense and running game that needed desperate work! We won 4 games last year with our horrible defense! Me living in Charlotte, knowing how good of defenses Fox always brings to the table, it is not unrealistic at all to think that we would win 7-10 games this year!! I will wait until I see who all we sign and see the final roster before I make my final prediction!!
Here’s to seeing some pictures of Miller and the rookies in the upcoming training camp pictures!!!
MAN I AM SOOOO STOKED!!
Some teams are getting their people in this week and some this weekend. I have seen nothing about when the Broncos will start their training camp.
Wednesday for us…but the first practice is scheduled on thursday 8:50-11:45 i believe!
Any bets on any phone lines being in use at Dove Valley? I bet they are smokin’ this afternoon now that we are back to business. Two weeks to do four months work in. What a trip!
by the way…does anyone know the rookies jersey numbers yet?…I saw Miller was 58, but I have no Idea on anyone else.
The 2011 training camp page is ready to go…once content starts this will be the main place to look for all TC top stories, blogs, videos, audio and photos. For those of you asking about when training camp starts, as Yovi21 said, the first practice is Thursday. The page below has the schedule through the weekend.

Thanks Gray. Once again, coming to our rescue with great information.
So Von Miller is going to wear #58?! Good #
Got this from NFL.com wire report (AP contributing)
» Monday: The free agent list will be published at 6 p.m. ET.
» Tuesday: Facilities open “for training, conditioning” and “classroom” work; trading period begins (no time specified); teams can start signing undrafted free agents and their own draft picks at 10 a.m. ET; teams can begin negotiating with any free agents — their own and those who were with other teams.
» Thursday: Waiver period begins and teams can begin terminating contracts at 4:01 p.m. ET.
» Friday: Full free agency begins — teams can begin signing their own free agents and those who played with other teams at 6 p.m. ET.
The big question right off the bat is; will we keep K. Orton or trade him?
Curious to see what the terms of Von’s contract will be. What’s the likelyhood of him holding out? Lol!!!!
Thanks too Gray! Should be an exciting week. Get your rest tonight!
We also must sign Matt Prater ASAP. He`s a keeper.
Doesn’t seem right without Bay here. I expect your fingers to burning up the keys shortly. Being unemployed has it’s advantages, I having a brew and soaking up the return of football. My wife is going to have to get a second job to support my lifestyle. LOL
Thanks Gray for the post and the affirmation that you will keep us updated on all things Denver Broncos. I rather get it straight from the horses mouth. LOL Go Broncos!
Should be the easiest year ever to sign the draft class, with the rookie wage scale in place it will make that job a lot easier. Good thing, those guys are going to be busy the next couple of weeks.
I bet Bays spending time on the ole Orange Crush right now.
In reply to SNDVL…
Also, TRADING is now!, from the report I read earlier, we can start the trading for OrtonWHO??? now!!!
We haven’t found any even close to replacing J. Elway, but we are hoping Tebow can rise to close to that level of excellence. However, M. Prater has the potential to be the equal of J. Elam. I think he’ll get a good, long term contract.
I concur on the Prater deal.
YES. lets finally start our season. whats first.
BFE, IT HAPPENED BRO!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!
Too freaking hot here to be boating, darn near 100 on the back porch. I was cleaning my garage and a dust devil came through and blew stuff all over the place. LOL Gave me an excuse to come in and wash the dust out of my throat with a cold one. Need to get back out there , I almost have enough room to pull the cars back in before the weather goes nuts.
Sign Prater and trade Orton.
You guys crack me up!
I’m baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!! muwahahahaha
Been waiting for this day forever it seems. Thank God football is back. Don’t know what I would’ve done if there was no season… bored silly for sure. So ready for training camp to start and watch Tebow earn his spot.
Have faith Broncos Country…
GO BRONCOS.. 2011 HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BFE`s a kick!!
ASHLEY GIRL!! WHAT UP?!! I KNOW YOU STILL BLEED ORANGE AND BLUE!!! IT`S TIME!!
Yes only Von Miller has a number which is 58 after the Kansas City chief runnign back he is often compared to.
Ravens released Willis McGahee
TRB out…
So players can be released but not waved just yet, correct?
Broncossssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Tomorrow should be a kick…hope we can get all our draftee’s contracts signed by thursday! The whole team has a lot of catching up to do..especially these rookies…and without 2-a-days these guys are going to miss out on tons of practice on the field!…Lets all pray this training camp isn’t reminiscent of last years camp! (Knock on wood) Take it easy out there..at least for the first few days!
Yea he hasnt been officially released i guess but they have already informed McGahee that they WILL release him. TRB out
OK
Hey strand!!! Haven’t been on here cuz the whole lockout thing was just depressing and coming on here with nothing to talk about just seemed pointless. Plus got a new job and it has been keeping plenty busy this summer… really boring at times but nonetheless its a paycheck, right!!
Of course I still bleed Orange & Blue, its in my blood to love this team! And now that we have a season to look forward to, at work I discovered one of the guys is get this… a Raider fan. Oh Lord help me. I’ve known him for years, works with my mom and I’ll be seeing more of him when I’m there so will be fun to bug him how much the Raiders suck. lol Never thought I’d see the day where I’ve been friends with a Raiders fan for several years and didn’t even know it. Isn’t that against the rules or something?? lol
Oh man, I’m so excited that there’s a season. I almost can’t believe they actually agreed on a deal. I knew they would, just didn’t think it would take them this long to do so. Too much time wasted.
2011 HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the job. Gotta keep that cash flow coming in. As for working with a raiders fan, been there done that. It`s a trip.
Thanks… the paycheck is real nice considering what little I really do. Can’t really complain though especially with so many people unemployed.
lol, oh it has already been a trip and there has been no season till today. Gonna get crazy once it all begins. He’s a good sport so he takes all in stride but when he told he was a raider fan, I’m sure my face was priceless. I couldn’t believe it. A lot of the guys he works with are Bronco fans too so he already gets razzed, just wait till I get my 2 cents in. I’m like a little firecracker when I get on the subject of my Broncos and how much I despise the Raiders.
That would be fun to witness. LMAO!!
Oh trust me, it’s a “don’t miss” kind of moment. Will be a lot of fun, can hardly wait!!
