I call them the Phallus Cowgirls. No love for them ever since the 1977 SB loss. "AMERICA'S TEAM," they say> I don't recall taking a poll or voting? Arrogant jerks.

Baylinorcrush, Fan Huddle is up. Come on over and say hello. Give your input. What would be a site if I didn't have a solid Bronco fan to banter with, ha, ha. Your opinion is always appreciated.

baylinorcrush, I saw all those people calling for praters head last year and I stood up for Him every time and if you remember I've been saying I want a Prater jersey all year, infact I believe I said Prater would kick a 64 yard field goal to win last week. HeHeHe....

Your also saying all the same things about respect, class, and showing the NFL how smart The Denver Broncos Fans really are, as I did last year. It seems we think alot alike.

whitebronco#1, I think kicking a 66 yard field goal would be much better than being named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September. GO MATT PRATER!

TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !

GO BRONCOS ! ! !

@Baylinor:

Hey man, I didn't really read blog comments until the season started, but I am surprised to hear you say that people were down on Prater based on last year's performance. Is this true?

@people who didn't want to keep Prater:

Before I start addressing this issue, let me start by saying that as Broncos fans, before Prater came along, we were absolutely spoiled. Jason Elam is probably a future Hall of Famer, and the guy made over 90% of his field goals. Prater came with high expectations and big shoes to fill, and he didn't quite turn in an Elamesque season. Though he was 5/6 on field goals of 50+ yards, he left a lot to be desired for in the 40-49 yard range, connecting on only 5/11 field goals and finishing the season with a pedestrian 73.5 conversion percentage overall. I think it's normal for people to be let down a little, because there were a couple games where those misses really hurt. But it was only his first full season as a starter!

When you look at the big picture, Prater might have an even bigger boot than Elam, and when the game was really on the line, beyond 50 yards, Prater was money. Remember the Chiefs game? 55 and 56 yard boots? Wow! He showed me enough for me to want him to finish his career in Denver. No, I don't expect him to be Elam, I expect him to be himself. He will get the job done, and when we need him to make kicks, he'll be there.

Here's a stat: Through 19 games as the starting place kicker, Prater is 7/8 from 50 yards or more. I say he's a keeper.

What I remember most about what Dawkins said yesterday was what he said about the cowboys: I was in Philadelphia for a long time and we had to play these guys twice a year, and I know one thing, these guys need respect, and for 60 minutes. Man, do I buy that. I don't buy the feeling that this game will be an easy one like a lot of guys here seem to think, I picked we'd win the Raider game by 21, we won by 20, so it's not like I don't go out on a limb with my predictions when the occasion presents itself. This, in my view is not, repeat, NOT this kind of game. Broncofan96 predicts 31-7! Wow, now that's enthusiasm. Hope you're right, but I'm gonna go with a 16-1O win, Prater will be the difference (3 FG's). It's not that I don't respect the Broncos abilities to score, it's more that I respect Dallas ability to stop us most of the afternoon, I would't be surprised at all if we win just by three, Dallas is a lot better than most of you guys seem to think, I am just glad Dawkins has total respect for them so our entire D will follow. This game will come down to which team stops the other more often and who ever loses the turnover battle will lose the game, therefore I see Orton securing the ball better than Romo, and his turnover(s) losing him the game. This one should turn out to be quite the physical game, a lot more like the Cinci game than the Browns or Raider games.However, I don't care what we win by, as long as we do, and most important I'd like to see us come out of this one healthy because some of this Dallas D is nasty even dirty. I'm just glad we're playing them at home.

Alright Prater!!
Geez, just watched B. Dawk's press conference and just gotta say it is an inspiration to hear that man talk about our team and our defense.
You can hear the passion in his voice about football and about our team.
We are so "blessed" as (Dawkin's would say) to have him on our team.
Go Denver beat the Cowpies!!!!
