Matt Prater has just tied the game 13-13 with 1:34 left in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard field goal. The score concluded a 9-play, 68-yard drive, which included a key third-down conversion.
That conversion came when the Broncos had third-and-11 on their own 25-yard line. Tebow dropped back, and with great protection from the offensive line, stood in the pocket and delivered a strike downfield to Eric Decker for a 39-yard gain to the Chargers’ 36-yard line. Two plays later, Tebow hit tight end Dante Rosario for a 23-yard gain on the right sideline to give the Broncos the ball at the Chargers’ 12-yard line. Four plays later, Prater tied the game.
Tebow is now 8-for-15 for 133 yards passing and one touchdown to complement his 16 rushes for 50 yards.
