Entering Week 17, the Broncos are in the thick of the postseason conversation. Here are the official scenarios that were released by the NFL on Monday morning.
Baltimore, the New York Jets, Denver, Pittsburgh and Houston can make the playoffs if they tie this week, with various other things happening. Jacksonville and Miami cannot make the playoffs with a tie.
Here’s how Denver clinches a playoff spot:

I agree with Baylin,McD is overestimating the abilities of some players,but he is also underestimating the abilities of other players.

the coaches have fault in this too. Some of the play calling nothing close to but ridiculous at times. I mean i remember a run on 3rd and long way back when this season. And get spicy with the run plays!! im sure ive seen Most if not all of the pitch plays work. MCdaniels is just stumped on how to handle kyle orton because he is limited, unlike tom brady.

When i skipped over your post u wondered why? and as a result i went back and rad them and responded…..if u continue with the caps and acting like a know it all, I gaurantee u your post wont be read
If your handle is recognized on here it is because people know u as a regular, read your post and as a result recognize u as a fan, So if those same people start pointing out the bad parts…its not because we are turning our back on the team when they lose…we could say the good points (and have many times), but the good points don’t matter when they are vastly outweighed by the improvements needing to be made…as a result we talk about where its lacking
and don’t be surprised to hear McD get criticized…its not bashing..its stating facts. Just like a QB u get both the praise and the blame. McD will be good when he grows up, gets some experience, stops with his young man ego, stops being stuborn.
and Boyest, Moreno is a fine addition but was he neccesary? no….plus part of drafting is drafting to fit your skim….if McD wanted to to change oline to power blocking then he should have drafted a power back…so not the best draft. Trading a first rounder next year for a second rounder this year…not the best move. Mcbath is Great…Quinn could be a great asset but he wasn’t needed…waste of a pick. I could go on, but he is far from a drafting stud, and i guess xander takes some blame too.

I think we do need a quarterback that can stretch the field because we get behind but the offense isnt able to get a quick score if needed. we have to spend the entire half trying to get back into games and run out of time. I think if we had a qb that was a deep threat we would be sitting on 10 wins and not having to worry about the play picture, just a opinion, orton is a good game manager and makes a great back up but as starter we would need a more dangerous running game, and stop using moreno for short yardage situtations, I would use hillis because he hits the hole and doesnt dance around in the backfield like moreno

wasn’t saying u were bashing McD….was refering to US giving factual criticism, because u felt you were the only one sticking up for him…we know his good sides, but his bad sides are hard to ignore cuz they are affecting the team negatively.
Hillis could handle play after play and did last year…but its not about him…Im sure Hillis and Buckhalter could have carried the load….anyway, my point was….If he was soooooo insistent on power run game (since he changed our oline from zone blocking to power blocking) then he should have drafted a power back to complement thats change…which Moreno is not….and maybe some bigger Oline men because ours are small and are not power….only one really succeeding is Clady and thats because he is a bigger guy and an all round good oline men period

i write in caps because i am passionate about what i am writing and when it is it caps it gives the effect of a passionate person talking about something he is passionate about. because if we were talking face to face voices would be raised not out of being mean but out of passion. as for the o-line yes clady is big so was harris and hochstein was McDaniels guy brought from new england that is 3/4 guys and yes i say out of 4 because the center doesnt really do much

You are correct…a new QB is needed…and not just a deep threat QB…A better all round QB….because Ortons QB cone is VERY small…only see’s a certain part of the field and not all of it and as a result he misses open WR’s. He is also not very mobile IN and OUT of the pocket….Arm is average at best…and his Accuracy is slightly above average…but yes he is a perfect Game manager and back up QB in my book, We also need more plays and packages too…but didnt help that we only had 3 WR to work with agaisnt Eagles. (Royal hurt, Mckinley hurt, Stokely ejected)
As far as whole Hillis talk goes…It used to annoy me when everyone was yelling HILLIS HILLIS HILLIS….but I soon joined them when I noticed McD was bent on pounding it on short yardage. Not to mention…Bucky got hurt agaisnt the colts…and HE RAN MORENO THE WHOLE GAME…not giving Hillis or anyone else for that matter a chance…The idea of a every down RB is going extinct in the NFL…even Peterson doest run it all the time…when bucky went down Hillis should have been able to take some carries to reduce the wear and tear on Moreno.
TheRoyalBeast – I know your post wasn’t directed towards me, but I just wanted to say that Ryan Harris did a great job until he got hurt. IMO… our offensive line needs to be built around those two.
Well, you know……before the season began, I was anticipating a 5-6 win season at best. Then all of a sudden we’re 6-0 and I’m blown away, proud as all hell sticking it to my friends, and thinking we only need another 4 wins in 10 games to pretty much gaurentee a playoff run.
Fast forward to today and this team has gone 2-7 since. That, my friends, doesn’t happen to good football teams. That happens to teams that are lacking in a lot of areas, or unable to play a full 60 minutes week in and week out. There’s no sense blaming one particular area, person, or player. The bottom line is that this TEAM didn’t get it done. They got away from what was working early in the season and could never recapture it.
These last nine weeks have been hard to swallow. That switch to Berger was a horrible decision. The playcalling has been questionable at best. The O-line was not thier dominate self. The D gave up so many huge plays and runs. Orton was ineffective in every first half. So many penalties on key plays. So many letdowns, so many frustrations.
I want my team to make the playoffs but with them playing like they have for so long, I’m not sure that they can even compete with the big boys. But hey, you never know…….but you have to get in to have a chance.
I’m looking forward to next year to see what kind of moves will be made. Who will still be around, what new players are brought in? It just really sucks to have to wait another 9 months for fresh season of Broncos football.

I say 1/4…Clady…Harris got hurt (and since he did our running has been far worse), Hotchstein big but size isnt everything. My point was Moreno isnt a power back…but it is what it is….we could argue this point till we are blue in the face but nothing will change, tommorow the sun will rise…and then it will set…..we will just agree to disagree….

Yea that was the reason i didn’t mention Harris because he got hurt and since he did our oline effort that wasnt already stellar got worse. Our Oline should defintiely be built around those 2….Hamilton was better in zone blocking and when he was much younger…..
