Broncos cornerback Tracy Porter came up with the first interception of the night for either team at a huge time, intercepting Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger on the first play after the two-minute warning.
Porter made the pick in stride and raced into the end zone untouched to put his team ahead 31-19 after a failed two-point conversion.
He now has five pass breakups on the night and is second on the team with eight tackles – all solo.

and the broncos win!!! watch out because we are looking good minus the defense’s sloppy play and annoying bone headed plays. big ben was on fire tonight but that wasnt enough to take the new look broncos!!! i for one am even MORE excited than i was and i was pretty danged excited!!

The only bad thing I can take out of that right now, (with a few brews in me) is the third down d… We were amazing at getting 3rd and long jus to get torched.. But what a game, def worth all the hype and the long long wait. GO BRONCOS!
I agree that the third down coverage was scarey. But still, only 19 points. Pretty good.
yep wolfe i know it looks wierd considering where we’ve been as far as qb’s for awhile now but that is definately what a real qb looks like man!!!!
i agree, too, scalp our 3rd down d was down right maddening. but big ben was on fire tonight as i said but because of our offense we should be in good shape over all. remember the d coordinator is new and will take some time to get going like he wants it. so once our d gels and our offense gets even better (which it definately will) we should be contending to go deep in the playoffs or to the super bowl.
Just another day at the office for Manning and our Broncos, this will be the norm !
