Why would the organization do something like this!

First they practically tell Lynch to give them money so he can come back to play. Then in freakin camp they don’t at least give him some passing down reps to see where he’s at. It’s obsurd. The Broncos let another great player go, and it happened to be my all-time favorite…

Maybe John felt that he only had a year, maybe 2 left and he feels the Broncos are in “transition”, so he wants to go to a Super Bowl contender, like his home-town San Diego Chargers.

Please John go into broadcasting and don’t play for San Diego! Please I’m begging you

Lynch provides a big hit here and there, but he doesn’t have the speed to be make quarterbacks think twice about deep balls, etc… I hope Josh Barret pans out and is in the lineup in the next couple of years. That size and speed can be a headache for opposing QB’s, WR’s and TE’s, not to mention the RB’s…

We’ll miss Lynch – but we have proven veterans taking his place this year with Marlon McCree and Marquand Manuel.

The release of John Lynch is a good news, bad news situation. The bad news is that an exceptional leader is leaving. The good news is that the Broncos are confident that they have someone who can play the position better than John Lynch. John appears to believe that also, otherwise why ask for his release? His pass defense last year left a lot to be desired.

Lynch asked for his release, and it’s understandable. He still feels he is an every down safety. I thank him for his years of service, his passion for the game and his work ethic. No matter WHERE he goes he carries class and leadership with him. God bless the Lynch family and good luck to them.

Lepsis: gone.

Gold: gone.

Elam: gone.

Smith: gone.

Lynch: gone.

Not to mention Sundquist, Bates, Heimerdinger, etc.

Some addition by subtraction. Lepsis wasn’t the same after his ACL injury. Defense better without Gold late in 07.

Full-blown generation shift at Dove Valley. Call it that. Not calling it rebuilding. Won’t know that until we see how the year goes. Could mean bigger things. Or an immature team that goes bust. Which was the case last year with all those names around anyway.

If that story about Lynch isn’t true, nfl.com should be reprimanded. I am a broadcast journalist who takes pride in getting things right. As for Eddie Royal, I liked Dre’ Bly’s comment as he compared Royal to Az-Zahir Hakim, although he said Royal has more speed. Thus, we hit the jackpot with him!

All I have to say is its pretty dissapointing if the story is true. If John can’t make the 1st team I would hope he would still be around, able and ready when his name is called.
