Marshall should not be suspended.
and certainly should not get more than a steroid user (4 games) or someone whos failed 2 drug tests (8 games)

15 hasnt been convicted of anything nor has he been arrested for a violent crime involvin a weapon.
How many games did Tnak Johnson get after having his home raided by the ATF?

4-8 games is shameless persecution and overly $$$$$$.
Jared Allen had a 2 gamer last year for his 3rd alcohol violation.

What about Marshalls meeting with gutless goodell. Is there gona be any suspention. I think some one on NFL network said he might get a 4 to 8 game suspension. I think thats rediculous. 2 to four is all he should get

chickenman lives --

First of all, nice name. I like it. But ok, on to some of your questions.

Both Josh Barrett and Jack Williams, the team's 2008 rookie DBs, look to be taking to their positions well. It helps Barrett that he has so many talented veterans ahead of him to learn from, and as far as I can tell he seems to be handling all the new information well.

Peyton Hillis is certainly an NFL'er. Cecil Sapp has been running with the first unit offense, seeing as he's the incumbent starter and Hillis is a rookie. But Hillis has shown flashes he has what it takes -- on a couple plays he's caught a pass out of the backfield and made a few moves up field, and he can block with the best of them, from what I've seen.

Marcus Thomas looks fine. Coach Shanahan said Kenny Peterson has earned a chance to run with the first team after his performance at OTAs, but as you know the defensive line of all the positions rotates fairly often. So Thomas is getting plenty of reps himself.

Ben Hamilton has looked like his old self. He and Tom Nalen have been taking care of business during O-Line drills -- not many people have been able to get by either of them in the one-on-ones, either.

Torain looks plenty fast, but his best characteristic -- in my eyes -- is his bulk. He is a big guy and you can tell he can handle some pounding during a game. He is just getting his feet wet in training camp, being a rookie, but he's been making a few plays out there.

We don't know about who's going to start come the season, and Coach Shanahan has made it clear nothing has been determined. As of right now he's running with the first unit offensive line.

Javalon -- Jarvis certainly still has his speed, I couldn't tell you about the weight gain, all I know is he has certainly been beating his man around the corner in one-on-one drills and coaches have been applauding his effort.

crherrera -- Attendance has been great and we'd love to have anyone and everyone out to watch some practice. The more the merrier.

All right, hope those helped and we appreciate the interest. Keep 'em coming!

hey gray -

thanks for the blog. it's exciting to have access to some "eyes" at training camp. i, unfortunately, live smack dab in the middle of the black hole.

anyway, some questions for you: how is josh barrett looking - any chance he's a diamond in the rough? and how about peyton hillis - do you think he's an nfl'er? how does marcus thomas look - i was worried when i read that kenny peterson was starting - does this mean they're not happy with marcus? has ben hamilton been holding up now that he's taken a few cracks? does torain look fast enough? is ryan harris going to start?

alright, that should keep you busy for awhile.

wish i had your job.

They don't run return drills full speed, but he had a really nice burst through the hole. His quickness is very noticeable.
